Still the same evening, Chance and Chloe tip toe into the mausoleum. No need for Chloe to worry - the doctor signed the release form. Chance just didn't want the women folk fussing over him - well, maybe with the exception of one certain woman.

The Ashby's are delighted to hear Mac still plans to hatch their egg. So, Billy came around? No - they broke up. Meanwhile, Billy finally manages to silence Jimmy's juke box by yanking out the power chord. And now the disheveled Abbott can go back to drinking shots - and then guzzling straight from the bottle as he flashes back to happier times (then bad) with his beloved Mac. You're wrong Mac, Billy tucks in his shirt, grabs his keys and leaves the bar.

Dr P hesitates at Jack's invitation - she IS treating his ex wife (who's obsessed with him). Plus, there's 'the face' thing. Sure, Jack's attracted to the face - but it's what's behind the face that intrigues him. Come on - a night of talking about something other than Patty - how about it? Dr P will consider it.

Mike takes Eden to CL's (where she's surprised to see her study partner HAS shown up). Surprised to hear the name Lauren Fenmore (and that Mike's married to her boss), Daisy assumes she's at Amber's rooftop wedding. Marching out, Mike barely grunts as he passes Ryder.

All applaud the newlyweds - as Jana's chided for her Friday 13th fears. See? Nothing bad can happen. Nick arrives - did you two just...? He then reads Phyllis' text aloud - 'on Daniel's roof - may jump'. Funny, Daniel gives him Mom a hug. 'Yeah, Mom', Amber gets an 'over the shoulder' glare.

Billy's now at the club - whining to Jack that his life's imploding. Sorry to hear that, Jack keeps walking - go to someone else. he's through cleaning up Billy's messes. As Billy ambles off, Paul comes along - seen Dr P? Yes, something IS wrong. Patty was lucid for a while - then threatened to hurt Jack (if he left her for someone else).

In Lily's room, Dr P introduces herself to Mac. No worries - she's used to people's reactions to her familiar face. Of course Dr P can assist with the psych. evaluation Mac (the surrogate's) to undergo - right now, over coffee, in fact. Now alone, the Ashby's then marvel at how marvelous Mac is - since she sacrificed her relationship, Lily feels the need to give her something back.

The newlyweds welcome Mike (the wedding crasher). How did he find out? Daisy (who sends her best). And now - the couple's first dance. And what song captures their connection? Square dance music (according to Kevin). Dude - seriously, Daniel balks. Luckily Murphy has experience as a square dance caller - so calls out the do-si-do moves to the laughing and clumsy square dancers. Murphy! Stop it! A tired Kay finally shouts - as she rests her hand on a gift addressed to Lauren. And if the suddenly ominous music's any indication, the wrapped gift's not a toaster.

Chloe fusses over Chance (who's now in bed). Cards? Chloe suggests. And what are they playing for? Not Tequila shots. The winner gets to ask the loser anything. Chloe deals out for 'Slapjack' (which Chance hasn't played in years - so loses). Chloe's question? What was Chance's most embarrassing moment?

Coast clear? Billy pokes his head into Lily's room. She's summoned him to discuss Mac. It breaks Lily's heart to think that something so wonderful has broken them up. Mac loves you, Lily assures - you must find your way back to each other.

Walking the hallways, coffees in hand, Mac talks of the two embryo's - assuring she won't make any claim on this child. Dr P sits her down - forget the Ashby's - how will SHE feel if this doesn't 'take'. Disappointed - guilty, Mac admits she had a miscarriage - 3 years ago. Dr P speaks of 'attachment' - handing 'her' baby over might be difficult. Mac then confides she just ended a relationship - it's not over this - but it was the catalyst. From all she's heard, Dr P isn't so sure Mac's a good candidate for surrogacy.

On the CL's patio, Daisy might be Eden's study partner - but she doesn't need her help. Just let ME do it. Ryder approaches Eden - got a minute? He sits to ask for pointers on how to fit into the family (on whom he wants 'the inside scoop'). Seeing the new girl spill some coffee, Ryder races off - leaving Eden to look suspicious.

When Kevin opens the rooftop to toasts of the happy couple, Murphy goes first - sure he hasn't known Daniel and Amber as long as some, but that won't stop him from sharing his advice for a long, happy marriage. Cheers! Nick goes next - not so long ago, he'd never believe Daniel would be his stepson. But here his is - as proud as if Daniel were his own. The moral of the story? Always be open to love - no matter where it comes from. Cheers! All drink to that one.

Dr P continues to be the voice of doom - what happens if Mac resents her choice? Or latches onto the baby? Mac wouldn't do that. Dr P sighs - and what if Lily doesn't make it? Will Mac accept that this baby she carried for 9 months isn't hers to raise? Think some more - and if Mac's still determined, Dr P will set up some official sessions. Now not looking so confident, Mac tries to speak to Cane (who cuts her off - to say how much they appreciate what she's doing for them) ~hug~

Perched on the side of Chance's bed, Chloe now loses the hand - and is asked 'what's her most perfect date?'. Easy - Chloe's having it right now ~kiss~ She knows he's not used to having a girl in his bed *giggle* but can they snuggle for a bit? Chance would like that (so, with a giggle, Chloe cozies up).

Seated at the club, Jack's not too worried about Patty's threats (being as she locked up and all). It kills Paul - Mary praying for her little girl to come back - but the reality is, Patty may never get out of that place. Knowing he's responsible, Jack wants to help - if there's another doctor or treatment, he'll cover it. Near tears, Paul thinks that very thoughtful. Jack admits he's not being selfless - helping Patty may heal his own scars.

back on the rooftop, Daniel declares this the most awesome wedding ever - or it will be when he goes to get more champagne. Dancing with 'Reverend C', Kevin talks of where they were a year ago. His stint at Jabot (and the steady paycheck) ended when the Abbott's regained control. Work at CI!? You serious? Kevin promises he won't let Mrs C down. But now - he has to help Jana move the presents. Oh look - this one's addressed to Lauren. For me? It's so pretty. But the Baldwin's jump back - horrified at what's inside the box - a live rat scurrying about.

Coming back from releasing the rat into the alley, Nick informs that a neighbour told him that the box was left out front (with instructions to deliver it to the roof top). And while Jana knew something bad would happen, Kay insists they keep this from the Romalotti's. Yeah, Kevin thinks they can say they're leaving so they can start their honeymoon. Enter the bubbly newlyweds - with bottles of bubbly in hand. They look crestfallen when everyone decides (for various reasons) that it's time to end the party. It's not over, Amber wails at the Fisher's - nothing bad's happened so far. What WAS that? Amber's left to wonder. But Daniel doesn't mind - as they then clink bottles and drink.

Ryder returns to Eden and Daisy (who interrupts the insults to remind they're there to study). And when Eden makes it clear she doesn't trust Ryder, he gives up - but if she changes her mind (and wants to help him get to know his new family), she knows where to find him.

Also at CL's, Dr P's pleased to hear that Patty remembers what happened at the church. She's still 'reachable'. Paul then adds that Jack's offered resources if needed. How odd to feel grateful to Jack - considering he's the main reason Patty's so messed up. Maybe he's taking a good look at his actions. Jack's been nothing but compassionate since Patty's arrest - and he's also behind Traci donating Colleen's heart to Victor. Surely this proves that Jack's changed, Paul concludes.

Perched on Lily's bed, Billy admits the 'surrogate thing' is a hurdle for him and Mac. Yes, because it's Cane's kid. Lily encourages Billy to go to the cafeteria (where Mac and Dr P are talking) - tell her you're not letting her go - that you'll find a way to work this out. Billy heads out (seemingly to follow Lily's advice) - but in the hallway, he sees Mac and Cane talking. No regrets? Nope - no regrets, Mac confirms ~hug~ Now looking really frustrated and angry, Billy marches off in the other direction.

Nick and Phyllis have come back to the rooftop for a forgotten jacket. He married her - it's over, Phyllis sighs. Nick knows being Amber's mother in law's no easy pill to swallow - so he's proud that Phyllis didn't try to put a stop to it. With a sitter for as long as they want, Nick suggests dinner - a nightcap - a room. A room? Phyllis knows Nick's distracting her - and doesn't mind a bit ~kiss~

Back at the club's bar, Dr P rejoins Jack. Yes - Paul found her, but she can't really discuss their chat about Patty. When Jack stands to go, Dr P invites him to join her for a drink. No shop talk, Jack readily agrees - as he sits back down.

Snuggling with Chance in his bed, Chloe talks about how the Backstreet Boys helped her realize she wanted to be a 'stylist to the stars'. Chance doesn't care about fashion or celebrities. Skinny jeans and 'Vans'? Nu uh - Billy may have let Chloe dress him up, but he's NOT interested. First, Chloe never dressed Billy. Second, she doesn't want Chance to change. And he better believe that she's only interested in HIM. And as Chloe mounts him for a kiss - Billy barges in - Hey Chance. Have you seen D .....? As Chloe rolls off Chance, all three look uncomfortable.

Cane's now back with Lily (who's worrying about Mac and Billy - to escape her own health problems). Stop worrying about stuff you can't control, Cane advises - have faith - have faith in the dream you had. Remember?

Now home, the Patrick's cozy up on the couch. Thank heavens Amber and Daniel weren't there when Lauren opened that box. Who would DO such a thing? Hearing the door, Kay assumes it's Mac. Murphy will leave them to some girl talk - but don't be too long. It's Mac alright. Billy and I are over, she sobs in Grandma's arms.

You MUST be a superhero - straight from the hospital and you've already got her in bed, Billy quips. What does he want? Delia - where is she? With Ester? How convenient, Billy snipes (then is ordered to leave). In the hallway, Billy bumps into Kay and the crying Mac (who's too upset to speak to him). You should go, Kay gently sends Billy on his way.

Sashaying out in a black and blue Teddy, Amber strikes a pose for her new husband. Where did you get THAT? Yes - Daniel likes. So much for Jana's Friday 13th fears - nothing bad happened, Amber slithers up the bed - things couldn't be any more perfect. No more talking, Mr Romalotti orders as he sets the champagne down (seems it's honeymoon time).

At CL's, Lauren's still shaken by the rat in the box - who'd want to scare her like that? Mike wonders who knew about the wedding. Ryder knew, Jana offers (as Kevin eyeballs her). When Eden and Daisy approach to ask about the wedding, Lauren explains she got a gift that scared her. From whom? She has a sneaking suspicion. Five pairs of eyeballs follow her stare - towards Ryder.

Joined at the lips, Nick and Phyllis make their way into the club. And as Nick goes to get a room, Phyllis stomps over to the bar to confront Jack (and Dr P) Are you kidding me? This is the woman who wants to rehabilitate the freak who almost killed my daughter. I thought you LOVED my daughter! WHY are you with her?! I can't believe you, Phyllis sputters (as Nick drags her off). No - it's not OK, Jack's left to say to Dr P - Phyllis is out of line - and Jack will put a stop to her public outbursts. And does his offer of a date still stand? You bet it does, Jack grins. Phyllis glares as the pair clink glasses.

Next; Sharon poses a question to Adam - why did he rush her out of the room as fast as he could when Ashley invited her to sit down with her and Faith? ... Jack tells Neil that he wants in on the ground floor on any new stock deal ... I'm not partnering with Jack - and I hope this meeting will be kept very private, Ashley sits across the boardroom table from Neil and Kay (who both look skeptical).

My Thoughts: Never mind that Billy didn't blow out the candles or set the alarm before leaving Jimmy's - he's been drinking straight 40% alcohol all evening! Just because he tucks his disheveled shirt back in doesn't mean he's suddenly sober enough to drive all over town; the hospital, the mausoleum, the club. I'm astounded that a show that so often posts PSA, continues to promote drinking and driving (how about a realistic storyline? Where a drunken Billy runs over an innocent pedestrian - one who can't be saved with donated organs - or 3 weeks of therapy sessions in Switzerland? Instead a grief stricken family's left to deal with the aftermath of a senseless loss). In 2006, Wisconsin had 722 vehicular fatalities - 352 (or 49%) involved alcohol. According to Alcoholalert.com, as of 1:52 PM today, there's been a total of 11,273 drunk driver deaths in the U.S. this year. Instead of a security system, Mac should have invested in one of those coin operated breathalyzers the site sells. OK - I'll get off my soapbox now ... What a great actor that rat is - note the way it jumps up onto the top of the box (it's certainly more animated than some of the show's actors). Nice that Nick released it back into the wild, I mean the alley - where it can merrily breed in the neighboring restaurants - Thai take out anyone? ... Line of the Day goes to Mac: 'we aren't the same people we were when we got married' (which is true - cause they were both played by different, and in one case - better, actors) ... Dear God in Heaven (as our favourite new Reverend often says) - there's nothing more pathetic than seeing the finely dressed GC elite trying to square dance. You'd think Nick and Phyllis would be more accomplished - since one of THEIR weddings took place in a C&W bar .... Cards? In bed? Chance may never have had intercourse - but surely there's other things he and Chloe can do - or is he opposed to ANY form of sexual relations? Seems so - as he's fully clothed beneath the sheets. I guess the virgin can't reveal his naked chest? If the loser has to answer a question - why not skip the cards and just play 20 questions? .... Why would Billy barge into Chance's bedroom without knocking? And since it's a big secret and all, how did Billy even know Chance was home - and not still at GCM? And when Kay's in the hallway with Mac - why wasn't it mentioned that Chance is home? Is he just gonna surprise everyone at breakfast tomorrow? If Billy came looking for Delia - then was told she's with Ester, why didn't he make a beeline for Ester's quarters? ... How much coffee does Dr P drink anyway? She had one while chatting with Mac at GCM - then went for another at CL's with Paul - did she drink even more with Jack at the club's bar? And though she declined the drink Jack offered, how many Martinis had she drank before going to 'work'? Then - to end her night, she has another Martini with Jack. She really puts the pee in Dr P. ... Phyllis should know better than to make a scene at the club - wasn't she almost barred from there - the last time she was escorted out by Detective Wallace? (shouldn't someone put out a missing person's report on Gill? He seems to have vanished - perhaps he's with Maggie Sullivan?) .... Why must Murphy always offer up a toast at every event? Regardless of whether he knows the people he's toasting? ... Always open your heart to love - no matter where it comes from, Nick toasts (and by 'heart', he obviously means 'zipper') ... Instead of chatting about the mysterious (and disturbing) gift Lauren received - why isn't Mike taking the box and card to the police station to have it dusted for prints? Come to think of it, maybe they should have the rat checked out too - maybe it's not a wild one - but one purchased from a local pet store? And while they're at it, why not question the neighbour who told Nick about the box being left outside? Maybe they'll actually find the clumsy person with the only pair of non-shatterproof binoculars ever made ... Was Lauren sooo busy getting Amber's dress that she didn't even think to tell Mike she was attending a rooftop wedding? Instead, the brilliant attorney has to hear it from his equally brilliant little sister? ... Why is Kevin whining about not having a steady paycheck? He OWNS the most popular coffee shop in town - and don't forget Chipmunk Inc. - shouldn't he discuss working full time at CI with Jana (the one who'll be left running CL's)? ... 'Eden, right'? Ryder pretends like he isn't sure. Why wasn't she invited to the 'welcome to the family' party - she IS part of the family, right? ... Maybe mother Mary could take a break from praying to God for her daughter to 'come back' - and actually get off her rosary and go see her. Perhaps some ribs and kraut would cure Patty ... How on earth could Phyllis manage to forget her coat. It's a chilly night (cause Amber was up there freezing earlier - she seems to be OK now though - despite being in a short sleeved gown). Phyllis really didn't notice the wind whistling up her back (in her S&M inspired dress)? ... I'm not so sure it's being 'father of the bride' that has Murphy all 'done in' - maybe it was all the prancing about - I mean square dancing, he did... I thought you loved MY daughter Phyllis squawks at Jack - which sounds selfish - but had she said OUR daughter, it'd only fuel speculation that Jack is actually Summer's father.
