Today's Spoiler

At the club, Jack listens to Nick's message (that their IPO partnership's NOT gonna happen). Hearing Jack all but bellow Nick's name, Kay (listening from the staircase) wastes no time calling him. Of course he'll meet her in the club's dining room (to discuss a business matter). Coming down in a robe, Phyllis is told Nick's going out - it's not so much a 'crisis' as it is an 'opportunity.

Chloe and Chance disagree on whether she still have feelings for Billy - and why she's cheering Mac on (in this surrogacy thing). You're right, Chloe finally admits.

On the CL's patio, Ashley DOES believe in happy endings - but love doesn't guarantee it. Billy's so touched he has a tear running down his face (NOT). Speaking of turkey's, what's he doing tomorrow? Not spending Thanksgiving with Mac, Billy will be working - but don't worry - go home to that precious baby.

At the ranch, Sharon claims the precious baby in her arms was feeling left out - she was crying. Adam thinks it a bad idea - he shouldn't have put Sharon in this position. Take the baby upstairs and we'll call it a night. As Sharon complies, Adam looks deeply troubled.

Back at the mausoleum, Chloe admits she's happy that Mac and Billy 'crash and burned'. If that makes her 'small', fine. And if Chloe looked like she'd been 'punched in the stomach', it's because she feared Billy would love Mac's baby more than Delia. Chance ain't buyin' it - he knows what he saw; hurt. Calling it a night, he leaves a frustrated Chloe to head up to bed.

At Indigo, Billy overhears a pretty young lady on her cell. As it seems her date bailed on her, 'Liam' would like to buy her a drink - nice to meet you 'Kelly'.

Joining Kay at the club, Nick hears about her busy day. Yes, he's heard the rumour that 25% of CI's going public. Kay's just waiting for the SEC's go ahead - and has made up a list of potential investors. Anyone Nick might know? The Newman's are at the top of her list. They SHOULD be 'honoured' - not everyone gets invited to this party.

Phyllis opens the front door in her robe - Hi Jack. Nick's not here - but she needs to talk to him. Jack assumes it's about the deal. Huh? Deal? Jack's frustrated - why is Nick blowing him off? Ooooh - I dunno - maybe cause Phyllis told him they slept together.

Returning home, Ashley's surprised to find Adam there - and that the nanny left. His date? She understood. Adam's rejects the suggestion of going ahead with the date - it's too soon. Ashley delivers another pep talk - get back out there - you have a lot to offer. If his date knows his history and still wants to give him a chance, that means a lot. Give YOURSELF a chance, she goes to tend to the crying Faith - leaving Adam to summon the car around (and listen to Ashley on the monitor - Mommie's home).

At home, Sharon's greeted by Fisher. Answering her phone, she gets a text from Noah (who's at the movies). Looks like it's just her and the dog tonight - guess there could be worse things than a quiet night at home.

With the tackhouse sofa now covered, Jack can't believe Phyllis told Nick - and she shouldn't feel guilty about it. Phyllis then explains that Patty watched them - she thinks I'm Diane (who's Summer's mother). Oh dear God, Jack murmurs - Nick must hate my guts.

Back at the club, Kay and Nick continue to discuss CI - and what a great CEO Neil is. If Nick becomes a stockholder, Neil WILL be back at NE (in a matter of speaking). She congratulates how he handled the Cayman affair - the good will's worth every penny. Nick appreciates her generous offer - and will relay it to the family and get back to her asap. With some parting words and air kisses, Kay leaves Nick to harass Adam - tough day at the office? Hangin' with all your friends? Nick's there for business - no - nothing Adam needs to know about (as he walks off).

Dressed in full fishing gear, Murphy's welcomed home by Kay. His catch? A giant smallie - 7 lbs, 9 oz's. Chloe can confirm it's in the freezer - nuthin' like goin' for ice cream and seeing two little eyes starin' at ya. Murphy cut his trip short when he heard Philip was leaving - and after he cleans up, they'll talk all about it. Chloe and Kay sit to discuss what she missed when she went out - Billy getting dumped by Mac. And because Chloe applauded the 'three hankie performance', she too is getting dumped. Chance reacted the way SHE would to acid washed jeans. Ah ha - so that's the problem - Chloe's flippant attitude. As the pep talk continues, the moral of Kay's long winded dialogue is that Chloe's hiding from the very thing she wants (behind her smart mouth) - what a sad state of affairs.

Still at Indigo, Billy and Kelly make small talk as they get to know one another. She's a kindergarten teacher. Get outta here! Billy teaches history at junior high. With so much in common, why ARE they wasting time with idle chatter?

As Ashley coos over her fussy baby girl, Sharon's pounced on by Fisher (who must smell the baby - the most wonderful smell in the world, isn't it?)

Phyllis reminds Jack that Nick was with Sharon at the time; HIS wife - there's no moral high ground here. But will Nick agree? It sounded like he wanted to nail Jack's ass to the wall. Guess we'll find out now (as Nick comes in to scowl at him).

Nick doesn't think Jack DOES know how upset his is (that his daughter was victimized over something that never should have happened). What's done is done, Nick doesn't see the point in dwelling on the last few months - let's just move forward. But Nick's NOT going into business with Jack, a man he no longer trusts. We can repair that, Jack implores - it WOULDN'T be a mistake. When Phyllis correctly guesses that Nick is Jack's last resort (to buy CI stock), Nick appreciates Jack being there for him as a kid - but now, not so much.

Murphy's now updated on Philip going to face the cattle rustlers - but the timing... Just getting to know his father, Chance must feel abandoned again. Murphy also doesn't hold out much hope for Chance and Chloe (who initially only wanted to make Billy jealous). They then chuckle as Kay admits she too used to be one of those women attracted to bad boys. Speaking of bad boys, Kelly doesn't seem to mind that Billy doesn't remember her name (as they kiss and undress one another in the alley).

Chloe goes knocking on Chance's bedroom door. Allowed in, she admits she could have handled their conversation better - and can see why he'd think her fixated on Billy. She loved him - and no surprise, he walked away. It hurt. She's had a long line of men walk out on her. She thought she was used to it - until now. What they have IS real. Say something, she prods (and gets a passionate kiss instead).

Dropping by the ranch, Jack admires the sleeping baby - then wants to talk about the IPO thing again. He's happy she's investing in CI - even on her own. He won't be buying any - the secret partner fell through. Jack then mopes about Thanksgiving without Colleen and Traci - and that things 'aren't what they should be' between him, Ashley and Billy.

Back at the tackhouse, Phyllis rubs Nick's shoulders - knowing it was difficult to shut the door on his friendship with Jack. It's sad - especially since the deal would bring in so much cash. Nick then relays Kay's offer (but no, it isn't the risk free offer Jack proposed). Nick also ran into Adam (who's kept his nose pretty clean at NE). He's being careful - too careful (so must be up to something).

Adam visits Sharon to apologize - he wasn't honest about why he cancelled. She's been so kind - he can't keep this secret any longer - and if he doesn't tell her now, he may never do so.

Still on the mausoleum's sofa, the Patrick's discuss women who chase after men who make them miserable - and how Kay wouldn't have had the good sense to fall for Murphy when she was younger. Remember that kiss last year? Does Kay have anymore of those? She does - upstairs. Race ya - and hand in hand, they amble up, laughing.

Kissing Chance passionately, Chloe's the one to put on the brakes. Her excuses range from his injury - to checking on Delia. Over Chance's protests, she puts her sweater back on - and leaves him visibly frustrated (groaning in pain - but chuckling).

Billy and Kelly are back inside Indigo - laughing as they take a seat. Kelly wipes lipstick off his face. Dinner? No - she's gonna take off (and declines his offer of a ride). Pleasure to meet you Kelly. Actually, it's not Kelly or even Kylie - and she knows he's not Liam. She used to see Billy Abbott at the club's in Manhattan and wondered if the stories were true ~kiss~ and tossing a casual 'Happy Thanksgiving' over her shoulder, she strolls out. Billy then takes a call from Jack (inviting him for Thanksgiving dinner). 1 pm - See you there.

The Newman's are also discussing the holiday's - reservations? No - Phyllis is defrosting a turkey. Good, Nick says unconvincingly. I can read a cookbook, Phyllis assures. I look forward to eating that meal, Nick lies - and with the rest of the family gone, he does NOT want to invite Adam. It'll be sweet and simple - just them and the kids - and Phyllis' great turkey of course ~kiss~

Adam just knows he's gonna regret telling Sharon this. But not to to worry - Sharon won't freak out - she's his friend. That's the problem - that's not what this is to Adam (as he suddenly - and awkwardly grabs, and kisses her).

Next: It's good to see JT so happy, Nick comments - but are YOU happy Vikki? Can I get back to you on that? she glumly replies ... Families don't love - they lie and abandon and die, Abby snarls. Shhh, Abby', Ashley scolds ... On the mausoleum's front steps, a wide eyed and excited Nina confronts Paul - 'you're looking for her daughter, aren't you!?' (as Jill suddenly opens the front door).

My Thoughts: So - that's it? Philip's gone? What a to-do about nothing. He went back into the closet as quickly as he came out (just like Adam). I bet those who wrote angry letters to SONY are regretting the time and energy they wasted. Philip couldn't even hang around long enough to share his first of 21 Thanksgiving dinner's with his son - his mother - and the rest of his family? What's the urgency? If these cattle rustlers were so dangerous, wouldn't they have torched Philip's bar or sumthin'? And why are they letting the cowardly 'born to run' gay man go off alone to defend Cane (the burly rugby player) - and if it's Cane they wanted, why haven't they found him? Didn't they see his any of his photos in RS? A simple Google search should have told the rustlers that Cane Ashby was once the CEO of Jabot and CI - was there no coverage of his fairytale wedding to 'model' Lily Winters? Wasn't he mentioned during Jabot's big Fresh Face contest (and subsequent 'Marina' fiasco)? And what about his blockbuster screenplay Nina's supposedly working on? Won't that tip the cattle rustlers off to Cane's whereabouts? And isn't much of that already included in Kay's best selling memoirs? ... Murphy 'cut short' his fishing trip because he heard Philip was leaving? How did he 'hear' that? And isn't he pissed that he came home early for nuthin'? And why does he just throw his fish into the freezer - beside the ice cream? Heads and guts intact? Don't real anglers clean and filet their fish before bringing them home? And why isn't it wrapped to prevent freezer burn? ... And never mind Philip, Nick or even Kay coming back from the dead - don't look now, but it's Fisher! Did Sharon ask Jack if her rental agreement allows for pets? ... Ha Ha Billy - looks like the playa's been played - if he was smart, his next stop would be the clinic - for some tests (and possible penicillin prescription) But why is he introducing himself as Liam anyway? Wasn't there just a big announcement that he'd purchased RS? And isn't it possible, in this small town, that someone would come over and say Hello to 'Billy'? Like maybe the owner, Neil. And given that he's a well known publisher now, why would Billy try to pass himself off as a history teacher of all things (when he could so easily be stumped by questions on the subject - teaching something like art or drama would be a safer lie) ... Oh yes - what a sad Thanksgiving it'll be for the Abbott's - without Traci and Colleen (like they were ever included in the Abbott's Thanksgiving anyway? .. Great idea Phyllis - covering that nasty couch with a flimsy sheet - maybe a waterproof tarp or even a vinyl tablecloth would be a better idea (if not an invisible cloak - cause now it's an even bigger elephant in the room). Never mind that they've been sitting on it for months already. And what will they say to Summer if she questions why the sofa's covered? ... Nick couldn't even take the time to wash up before meeting Kay at the club? Surprising she didn't ask the waiter what kind of fish was the special tonight ... Great idea Ashley - for Adam to take his date out to a movie - it being 'too late' isn't the problem - the problem is that Adam's virtually blind. Too bad they didn't go though (cause Noah's at the movies too - and I'm sure he'd be thrilled to see him Mom out with Adam) ..... Why didn't Jack blink upon hearing that Phyllis had gotten all this info from Patty? He didn't think it odd that she'd been allowed to see her (while DR P's told him to stay away)? .. Why was Jack 'blown off' by Nick? (Maybe cause his wife did the same thing?) ... With Adam commenting that Faith's been crying all night, why he didn't call her is a good question - the baby could be sick. If she had a rash completely covering her tiny body, Adam, being blind and all, wouldn't even know .... Jack's right - Nick likely DOES want to nail him to a wall - but it's probably not his 'ass' he'd nail (it might be the part Jack nailed Nick's wife with) ... Isn't it a bit cold for Billy and 'Kelly' to be stripping down for sex in the alley behind Indigo? What was the point in removing his shirt? So his nipples could cut glass? .... I doubt a baby girl is the most wonderful smell to anyone - least of all a canine (who'd maybe prefer the smell of a juicy T-bone steak. Come to think of it, I too prefer the smell of a steak to that of a fussy, poppy pants baby). Have a great weekend. Thanks for your continued and much needed support of the site!
