After declining Ashley's invitation to spend Thanksgiving with the Abbott's, the moping Adam flashes back to kissing Sharon (and his subsequent apology). No - he didn't mess everything up - he just surprised Sharon (who encourages him to stay). Call if you want to, the embarrassed Adam stammered on his way out - no pressure. Sharon's also thinking of last night - but snaps out of it at the sight of Noah in a tie - sooo 'cute'. With him off to the tackhouse, Sharon promises to call Jack if she gets really bored - don't worry ~ Happy Thanksgiving. But as he heads out the door, Sharon already looks lonely.

With his box of treats in hand, Jack spots Dr P in the club's dining room - and invites her over. No one should spend Thanksgiving alone. Here, he places the box in front of her - YOU bring dessert - 1 o'clock.

Phyllis unwraps the new sofa - of course they deliver on a holiday (if you throw around Victor's name). Having started the turkey at dawn, Phyllis wants her first Thanksgiving dinner to be 'great'.

At the mausoleum, Jill leaves Paul a message (asking for a progress report). And here's Chance and Chloe - with hot hors d'eouvres. Oh yuck - Murphy's pigs in a blanket (which Jill's not surprised to see Nina enjoying). And as Ester toddles back to the kitchen, the Patrick's welcome Pearl (with some 'eats' from Joe JR). Nina's disappointed to hear Chance merely got an email from his father (but after an exhausting 24 hour flight, Chance thinks it 'good enough'). Popping in to see Delia (before going to Jack's), Billy's told she's sleeping - so will watch 'the game' to keep his mind off his screwed up life. Chloe doubts a game will help (and on cue, Mac arrives with her glum face).

Chloe, Chance and Nina disappear to find some wine - leaving Mac to announce she's off to the shelter. Billy's going to Jack's? Perhaps it's a peace offering, the 'eternal optimist' suggests. As Chance gets a call from Philip, all chime out 'Happy Thanksgiving'. Jill finds Paul at the door - someone's gone to great lengths to ensure Violet Ramsey can't be found - but there's a lead ..... Kay and Nina appear - what's Paul doing there? He's Jill's date.

Noah arrives at the tackhouse. Phyllis is cooking? He knew he shoulda stayed with Mom. When Noah suggests visiting Ashley and Faith, Nick gets the OK to invite them - something about that baby always makes him smile. Answering Nick's call, Ashley explains they're off to Jack's - but they all should come up on the weekend - Happy Thanksgiving. Adam assumes correctly that his brother didn't invite him - but sends Ashley and Faith off - have fun. And as he sadly contemplates his phone, Sharon's doing the same thing (with Faith's bracelet in her hand). I was just thinking about you, Adam answer's Sharon's call - no - he doesn't have any plans (except a microwave dinner). Sharon can't promise a feast - but would love to see him.

When Dr P arrives (with dessert), Jack talks of making it a special holiday (despite it being their first without Colleen). It means a lot that she came - and that she's a football fan.

Murphy makes a toast - who knew going to the diner for apple cobbler would lead him to his angel? YOU saved ME, Kay reminds. Cheers. Jill and Nina are thankful that Chance is home safely. Chance is grateful for his Mom - meeting his Dad - and Chloe and Delia (the only thing Billy has to be grateful for). Mac's grateful they can all put aside their differences. And when Chloe hopes Billy can do the same - and welcome Mac's baby into the world, Jill 'what the hell' she's talking about. Her jaw hangs open when Chloe explains that Mac's making the ultimate sacrifice - giving the Ashby's a baby.

Initially putting an end to Noah and Summer's food fight, Phyllis is soon engaging in it (as a smiling Nick gets a call from Vikki). Hang on - someone's at the door. Surprise! It's the Hellstrum's (with Reed)! Of course there's enough food to go around.

Mac escapes Jill's questions by going to heat up the food for the shelter (with Pearl in tow to help). That leaves Jill to question Billy (who has more humiliation to face at Jack's - so escapes to check on Delia).

Strolling Faith in, Ashley coaches Abby to be 'gracious' (when she tells Uncle Jack to keep his belated birthday gift). Wahooo, Abby sneers - Happy Friday the 13th birthday, and Colleen and my Dad are .... Ashley apologizes - and frets - oh, what to do about Abby's anger. After Ashley gets over her shock at seeing Dr P, Abby stops texting long enough to declare it 'totally whacked' that Jack's guest (or girlfriend?) looks exactly like the psycho who kidnapped her sister. Getting 'no service', Abby stomps out - leaving Dr P to dish out some therapy - then get back to the game (call if you need some potatoes mashed). Jack then gets a call from Traci - hey Sis!

Still moping over the bracelet, Sharon wipes a tear from her eye before welcoming Adam in. And look - he's brought a bottle of wine from Victor's cellar. No worries - he won't make any more moves - and doesn't hold it against Sharon that she doesn't feel the same way. The mood is lightened when Sharon announces she's not serving turkey - it's Pasta Primavera (which luckily, Adam loves). Returning with the opened bottle and glasses, Sharon's asked about Cassie's framed drawing - doesn't it make her wish for the past? No - not at all - she'll always be connected to the people in it. Replacing the masterpiece, Adam decides to 'hide Nick' (with Noah's photo).

The Hellstrum's explain that Tucker McCall's opening up a branch in GC. Can't have too many billionaires in town, Phyllis quips. Seems JT's really impressed his new boss, Tucker - who's gonna teach him everything he knows). As JT takes a call, Phyllis hops up to tend to the turkey. Nick's left to comment on how happy JT is - but what about Vikki - is SHE happy?

Coming downstairs, Noah smells something strange - but probably isn't used to the oven being on. Vikki asks how everything's going at NE - and is pleased Nick has it all under control. Summer's improving every day - Nick feels at peace. But when Summer hands her doll over for a feeding, Nick flashes back to Sharon telling him Faith didn't make it. You OK? Vikki snaps him out of it (as, doll in hand, he turns to see Phyllis staring at him).

Eating pasta from plates perched on their laps, Adam talks about Thanksgiving's with his Mom and Cliff (which sound just like Sharon's holiday's growing up - before she married Nick - then holiday's became major life events). She misses it - but it's nice to have a quiet dinner with someone you care about. Adam hasn't thought about those times in years - Sharon brings that out in him.

Kay finds Mac moping over a glass of wine in the dining room. She's sure Chloe's words were meant to ensure Chance that she's over Billy. Mac just thought she was trying to humiliate her - as usual (and is now having second thoughts). You have nothing to be ashamed of, Kay comforts - whatever decision she makes will be the right one. Thanking her Grandma with a quick kiss, Mac goes to load up the stuff for the shelter. When Paul saunters in to thank Kay for letting him crash their Thanksgiving dinner, Kay comments that Jill's a far cry from Nikki - think about THAT one, she ambles off. Nina then ambushes Paul - not so fast - he's not going anywhere til he explains what's going on.

In the Abbott dining room, Ashley and Jack pause to mope about Traci not being there. Enter Billy - and Ashley doesn't care that he's late ~kiss~ And as Abby pointedly ignores Billy's greeting, Jack orders him to sit and make nice (as Dr P walks in with a dish). Refusing to eat 'that', Abby's suddenly become a vegan. Deciding to let everyone help themselves, Jack makes a toast - it hasn't been an easy year - we've all endured heartache and loss - but we're not alone in our grief - we have each other - always - that will never change (though Billy looks skeptical). To family, Jack concludes ~clink~

In the kitchen, Phyllis knows Nick was thinking of the baby - but is assured with a quick kiss that he's just fine. Rejoining their guests for refills, Nick makes the toast - to second chances - everyone's had some - they almost lost Noah - Summer's improving every day - Dad's got a second lease on life. They've also said some good byes - but Nick's grateful for the Hellstrum's - his wife. He's a lucky man and will never take it for granted. Cheers ~clink~

Ashley scolds Abby - must she really text at the dinner table? No, so Abby huffs off (ignoring Ashley's repeated requests that she sit down). Apologizing, Ashley decides it's time to go. And then there were three, Jack quips - we never even got to religion and politics, he adds (when Dr P goes to take a call from the hospital). That leaves Billy to say Dr P seems like a nice enough person - but she's a dead ringer for the woman who tried to kill him - and Colleen. Jack should see her professionally - but not personally. But Jack's trying to start over - build a better life for himself (not that Billy would understand that). Billy thinks Jack a hypocrite - his speech about family was nice and all - but look around - the family's doing a crash n burn. No turkey dinner's gonna save that. Have a good night, Billy storms out.

In the living room, Jill tells Kay how happy she was for Cane - him and Lily having a baby. But how CAN she be? Seeing what it's doing to poor Billy. In the front step, Nina badgers Paul (who finally admits he and Jill aren't dating - she hired him to arrange a surprise for Kay - one he can't talk about). Her daughter! Nina guesses. And when Jill comes out to drape herself all over Paul, Nina tells her to drop the act - she knows everything. Jill's pissed - If she blows this, I'll never forgive you, she snarls at Paul, then slams back inside. I'm right, aren't I? Nina persists - dating - ha! - like Paul would ever give Jill a second look. Jealous? Why would Nina be jealous of a bitter woman - or anyone Paul dates? They're friends. Is that all? Paul stuns Nina with a passionate kiss. Just friends? You sure? he asks smugly (as Nina's jaw hangs open). Inside, Jill surprises Mac - what she's considering doing is in fact brave and pretty damned wonderful.

Post dinner , Sharon admits she was dreading this day - but is thankful Adam took the 'dread' out of it. Oh yeah - they forgot that part. And what's Adam thankful for? That he met Sharon.

With all seated for dinner, Nick thinks something doesn't smell right. Is Phyllis sure there's nothing else in the oven? And what's the pink stuff? It's just bread stuffing, Phyllis insists as she places the turkey on the table. But wait - Summer WAS making the place cards when she was preparing the stuffing. Me cook too, Summer brightly chirps. We have pie, Noah reminds. Phyllis takes the turkey back into the kitchen. It's a disaster, she weeps - having spent 6 hours cooking a turkey with crayons in it. How can Nick possibly 'fix' this? He has a Butterball in his back pocket? Nick will be right back - love you.

Back at the ranch, Ashley lectures Abby on her rudeness. Told you I didn't wanna go, she's still focused on her texting. Your family loves you, Ashley insists. Family's don't love, Abby retorts - they lie and abandon - and die. Ashley knows Abby's angry - and that's OK. We'll get through it if we lean on each other. I'm going to the movies, Abby huffs out.

DR P catches Jack talking to a framed photo of his Dad; an incredible man. Thanksgiving wasn't just a meal - it was a celebration. Jack had hoped to make a new memory today - at least she's still there. But Dr P has to go - crisis at the hospital. No apologies needed (from the one bright spot in Jack's day). And with a quick kiss on the cheek, Dr P leaves - promising to call later. Taking a seat at the head of the big, empty table, Jack looks incredibly lonely as he eats his Thanksgiving dinner.

Next: Where are we going? Nick asks. I think there's something you need to do, Phyllis replies ... Answering his door, Daniel accepts the delivery. You've been served, the man announces ... With Kevin and Lauren amongst those in the background, Ryder asks 'What if they find out the other person in the photo was you?' They won't, Daisy assures ... Outside Sharon's door, Jack's stunned to see Sharon and Adam kissing.

My Thoughts: Shouldn't Ashley have checked with Jack before inviting someone over to his home for Thanksgiving dinner? And I'm sure Jack would really appreciate a last minute call from a bored and desparate Sharon. Why isn't she spending Thanksgiving with Doris? Is she all alone? How would Dr P know that Mrs Martinez 'really outdid herself'? For all she knows, it's the least effort she's ever put into a holiday meal - and rest easy Doc, you won't be needed to mash potatoes .... Where did this come from? Nick admires the new sofa - like he didn't hear it being brought in? Nice that the Newman's guests have a stain free (for now) sofa to pile onto though ... How many pigs in blankets can the Chancellor gathering possibly eat - and if they're Murphy's favourites, why didn't he eat any? Why would Philip be 'exhausted' from his 24 hour flight? He sat in an airplane seat - he didn't flap strapped-on wings and FLY to Australia ... Why is Billy surprised to see Mac at the mausoleum? Didn't it occur to him she might be there - since it's her home? ... Paul has nothing better to do than drop by the mausoleum uninvited? He can't spend Thanksgiving with his daughter (cause she's with her mother) - but what about Mary? (cause visiting his son Ricky would be totally out of the question). Of course Paul didn't have other plans - who else would he make plans WITH? ... Faith's 'excited' about her first Thanksgiving? How would one know? And it's not like the infant will be getting a drumstick or anything. Note that Reed's certainly grown during his week or so in New York (but still needs to be carried around) ... Why are Sharon and Adam eating from their laps? If not the dining room table, couldn't Sharon at least have unfolded a coupla TV trays? ... Noah's barely seen Ashley and Faith since moving in with Mom? Funny, cause he never spent time with them when he actually lived at the ranch ... No wonder Abby's behaving like such a spoiled brat - Ashley should have yanked the cell phone right out of her hands. And how is it she's going to the movies? Isn't she still grounded? Ashley should have stayed to finish her Thanksgiving dinner (instead of chasing out after Abby - who'd what? WALK back to the ranch?). Tough love, Ashley - try it! ... Odd, that while catching up with Vikki, Nick didn't mention the Cayman pay off OR report that they'd caught the woman they believe tattled to the SEC? (I'm sure Vikki will be thrilled to hear that the person she wanted 'flayed alive' has merely been transferred,, so is still on the Newman payroll) ... Why was it necessary for Kay to comment on Paul 'dating' Jill - who's a 'far cry' from Nikki. Is Kay saying Nikki's so much better than Jill? Why can't anyone believe Paul would give Jill 'a second look'? Sure, she's a few years older than Nina - but, come ON - it's not like Nina's in a whole other league ... Wonder why Cane and Lily weren't invited to the Chancellor get together - since Cane's still considered Kay's grandson and Jill's son ... Nick assumed Vikki and family would be at 'the parade'? No - not this year, she replies (like she's spent every other Thanksgiving at this parade - instead of at the ranch) ... Why on earth would Summer need to make 'place cards' - there was only the foursome (until the Hellstrum's crashed) ... How could Phyllis NOT notice Summer jamming crayons inside the turkey? Shouldn't someone be keeping an eye on this 'challenged' kid at all times? .. How many times will Dr P have to hack out the same drivel about her face being 'unnerving' - hasn't Ashley heard about the Patty lookalike? And that she'd be sitting across from her at dinner? .... Never mind Abby's rudeness - why is Noah turning his nose up at Phyllis' cooking? With the exception of the crayon stuffing, he wouldn't have gotten a better meal at Mom's ... Jack DID make a nice speech about family ALWAYS being there - but the last time he held a glass up to toast in Billy's presence - he toasted his 'ex brother'.
