Murphy notes that Kay's been quiet since getting home last night.  Well - Joanne IS more than she bargained for. Ester comes in complaining - grrr - that woman - when ordered to do her laundry, she found a knife and a gun. Ya never know when you gotta take a man down, Jo Jo arrives to explain - now how about some grub. I've never had a maid before! Ester gives a pitiful 'help me' glare towards Kay (as she's lead off to the kitchen by Jo Jo). Now where IS everyone? Kay must prepare them for 'that thing' - I mean introduce them to Jo Jo. And Jill? She ran out this morning like a bat outta hell, Murphy reports.

At CL's, Jill hugs Cane  - then is encouraged to update him on Kay's daughter. What's she like? Their worst nightmare. What a mistake this gift was.

At the club, Tucker wraps up a business meeting with JT and Neil (sharing expansion ideas for CI).  Neil's surprised that JT's so involved in the business - but agrees that Newman's loss is Tucker's gain.  Neil then diplomatically tells the pushy Tucker that he and Kay will carefully consider his proposals.

At the police station, Nina's getting impatient - why can't Chance leave? While Chloe declares it an obvious set up, Chance lays it out the way it looks - he met with a known drug dealer without calling for back up. Syd then announces Internal Affairs is ready for Chance (leaving Nina and Chloe to wait and worry).

Now home, Lily thanks Billy for all his funny text messages - and after some obligatory moping about Colleen, they discuss the baby Mac's carrying. Billy's come to peace with it. He's turning over a new leaf for 2010 - but never mind him. What's going on with Lily? She's about to tell him about Malcolm - when lo and behold, he shows up. Look who went and grew up - Malcolm shakes the hand of someone who actually seems happy to see him.

In robes in the living room, Sharon doesn't want Noah to walk in on them. But with Noah gone, the newlyweds discuss the various reactions to their elopement. Adam thinks Sharon one of the strongest people he's ever known ~kiss~ And now Adam's off to work - not to worry - he can handle Nick.

At the office, Nick's preparing Vikki for her trip to Dubai. And oh yeah, Adam married Sharon. Yes, Nick WAS indeed tempted to kill Adam - but now knows a better way to handle him.

Still at the club, Tucker brings up the acquisition Neil was pitching to Kay (he too thinking it a great deal). When Tucker offers to discuss it with Kay and Jill, Neil  updates that they're 'off' - and hints that they shouldn't be bothered 'unnessecarily'.

Back at CL's, Cane chuckles over Jill's description of Jo Jo - but could it be that Jill's afraid she'll be replaced? Jealous!? Jill scoffs - of that woman!? Cane reminds that just like THEM, she and Kay will always be family (blood or no blood). Bottom line - Jill's the stupid idiot who put this all in motion. No - Cane thinks it kind and thoughtful - but yeah, since Jill IS the idiot who put it in motion, she needs to see it through (so Kay will have closure). It was a beautiful gift - one Kay will never forget, Cane concludes - ever the supportive faux son.

With Jo Jo about to go check out the 'grounds', Kay would like to know a 'smidge' more about her. Like what turned her into .... the woman she is? Jo Jo gets all insulted - is Kay disappointed she's not some fancy business woman? No, no dear - that's not it. Ester hands Jo Jo a big mug. 'Hold that for me, Mom', Jo Jo shoves it at Kay (who looks aghast when she then pours a shot into it).  Oh yeah - Kay's heard of Irish Coffee alright. You're on the wagon, Jo Jo understands (quickly assuring she has HER drinking under control). As Kay goes to get her coat, Murphy wags his finger as he scolds Jo Jo - I've got my eye on ya.

Waiting impatiently, Chloe and Nina butt heads - with Chloe refusing to leave the station until Chance does. Yeah - well - that could take a while, Nina pouts - as both women watch Chance being interrogated.

Sharon and Neil bump into one another at CL's - hey stranger - Happy New Year. They chit chat about the jet going down - and Lily's recent crisis. Thanking Sharon for the Christmas gifts, Neil segues into Malcolm's sudden appearance (and the tenstion it's caused). He's not overly surprised to hear that Dru confided to Sharon (that Malcolm fathered Lily). Blood or not,  Neil's only focus is HIS daughter's health - and if Malcolm wants to salvage their relationship, he better hurry it up (then get goin')

Billy compliments Malcolm on a coupla series of photos he did - one on Milan's runway madness - the other on the children of Mogadishu. Boy, Billy sure could use a talented photographer like Malcolm over at RS. 'Absolutely', with a hand shake,  Malcolm would be happy to 'stop by' RS.

Yes, Vikki's OK with going to Dubai. She'll miss her kid - but she and JT need a break. Hopefully it works - like Nick claims it did for him and Phyllis. Vikki wants her and JT to once again be excited about seeing one another. Talking about me? Adam saunters in to quip - smirking his pleasure that he's there in time to bid Vikki 'bon voyage.

Jill returns home - please tell me our 'guest' is gone. Nope - and Murphy lectures that since JILL opened this can o' worms, the least she could do is stick around to give Kay back up. On cue, Jo Jo enters raving - some spread you got here MOM. Jill pastes on a smile - how's it going? Fan-falootin-tastic! Jo Jo delivers a high 10 to the stunned Jill. Kay then hisses - that's SOME present you got me. Repulsed to find Jo Jo's massaging her feet, Kay can't take her eyes off the wiggling toes - as she tries to converse.  And what's the connection between Kay and Jill? Roomies? (Jo Jo all but gives the ole 'wink wink nudge nudge'). Oh no no no, Jill quickly removes her hands off Kay's shoulder - then clarifies the relationship -  there was a time when they thought SHE was Kay's daughter. Jo Jo clicks her tongue - I'm proof positive - ya ain't.

On the phone with JT, Vikki'd be more than happy to meet him for some of the CL's hot chocolate she loves so much (as she glares at Adam, she snarls that she's more than ready to leave NE). Hugging Nick, Vikki marches past Adam's outstretched arms. No congratulations? he pouts.  Yes - Nick DID tell her that he got married - enjoy it while it lasts, she smirks.

As Neil admires her ring, Sharon announces she got married - to Adam - yes, Victor's son - that Adam. Laughing, Sharon knows his reaction - and is only focussed on Noah's transition. She won't apologize for marrying someone who makes her happy.

Coming home with flowers and muffins, Cane's smile fades when he sees both Billy and Malcolm. He'd have brought more muffins if he knew they had company. Cane asks Billy to stay - to discuss Jill. And as Lily and Malcolm go to make tea, tells him all about Kay's biological daughter (whom Jill now regrets finding). Perhaps Billy can give her a call. Still on his best behavior, Billy stifles his witty insults - and stiffly thanking Cane for the heads up, manages to leave without uttering a nasty word.

When Jill welcomes Tucker in, Jo Jo excitedly recognizes him (as 'that guy'  from TV). Murphy and Kay make introductions (as leaping all over him like a puppy, Jo Jo asks to take a photo). Tucker then brings up Neil's proposal. Kay has some concerns - and jotted them down -  but where's the notepad she left right here last night!? Oops -  Jo Jo spilt her drink all over it. Holding up the smeared pages, Kay looks none too impressed.

At CL's, Billy leaves a 'calll me back' message for Jill - then bumps into Vikki. Hearing she's off to Dubai, he politely tells her they have an indoor ski park there (and thanks her for making sure he got home safely the other night). Try not to ruin anymore lives while I'm gone, Vikki quips. Yes ma'am, Billy grins.

When Chance finally comes out, Chloe gripes - why can't they see he's innocent? Syd soon followst - for the record, he doesn't think Chance guiity - but he's suspended with pay (and charges may still be filed). If and when Chance does come back, he's off the Riggs case. Chloe and Nina frown as Chance reluctantly hands over his badge and gun.

As if trying t offer some common ground, Lily informs Cane that Malcolm's worked in Australia. And where is his next assignment? Far away? Cane sounds hopeful. Actually, they were just discussing that. Knock knock - Cane lets Neil in. Malcolm knows how he and Cane feel about him being there - but after talking to Lily, he's staying (and considering a job). Yeah bro - I'm staying 'indefinitely', he informs the scowling Neil.

Back at the mausoleum, Kay's trying to decipher her notes - while Jo Jo's telling Tucker to 'say cheese'. Since Kay's notes aren't legible, Tucker suggests he discuss the deal with Jill. Chaos ensues when Jo Jo almost knocks some glassware over. Good catch, she praises Ester (who seems on the verge of a nervous breakdown). As Jo Jo's sent out to get a stronger signal by the pool, Jill's ever so happy to discuss the acquisition with Tucker.

Vikki joins JT and Reed at CL's - and is pleased to hear JT took the rest of the day off to be with his son. Once Vikki gets back, she promises to spend lots of alone time with him. JT shares Reed's plan - he wants to use his new web cam to blow Mom a kiss before bed every night. Vikki loves that plan.

Nick takes some files from Connie - and is told the Chronicle wants a quote regarding Adam's marriage. Wow, Adam quips - news spreads. He assumes Nick will 'tell the world' what he thinks about the marriage. Sharon arrives with the phone Adam left on it's charger. But as long as she's there - she too would like to know what Nick plans to say to the Chronicle.

Yup - Billy offered Malcolm a job at RS - isn't that great? Lily gushes. Not really (according to Cane and Neil). OK - listen - Lily knows Malcolm's return is 'challenging' - but can't they get past all this tension? We HAVE to deal with this. Neil agrees - we have to find a way past this. The Ashby's then excuse themselves - so that Neil can confront Malcolm (on suddenly wanting to be part of Lily's life). Malcolm has another reason for staying - YOU.

Her car waiting, Vikki announces she's off to the airport. I'll miss you so much, she coos to Reed. I'll miss you too, JT chimes in. Not returning the sentiment,  Vikki gives both her husband - and child in his arms a quick kiss 'good bye'.

On the patio, Chance, Nina and Chloe powwow. Both ladies assume he'll be back on the force soon - though Chloe hopes he'll think about a less dangerous career. When Chance continues to puzzle over Riggs, Nina urges him to let it go. Chance reminds that someone's framing HIM - and wants to know why.

Adam and Sharon stand by as Nick gives Connie a quote for the Chronicle. He and his brother have had conflict, but he sincerely hopes Adam and Sharon are as happy as him and HIS wife. My hearfelt congratulations to both of them, he concludes (looking the newlyweds in the eye).

As Tucker pushes the acqusition on Jill, Billy arrives to grin at Jo Jo (who's juggling some crystal). Holy crap, he grins. Those are collectible items, Kay stops Jo Jo from proving to 'Murph' that she was in the circus - give them to ME! Amused, Billy tells Jill that Cane filled him in on Kay's daughter. Uh oh - she's coming this way. This cutie patootie is my son, Jill folds her arms as she stands protectively in front of Billy (who replies that no - he doesn't live there). None the less, Jo Jo plans to get to know everyone attached to 'Mama Kay'. How long you planning to stay? Murphy asks. Jo Jo thinks they better start planning her 'welcome back to the family' bash (as all groan or roll their eyes). Kay turns to Murphy - I don't care what those documents say - I want a DNA test.

Next: What - did you come down here to remove the knife from my back? a jumpsuit clad Deacon asks Amber. With Daniel at her side, Amber just needs to know where L'il D is ... Mike relays the message he just got - the lab's finished the analysis of all the evidence in the gym bag they found at the dump (which causes Daisy to look worried) ...

My Thoughts: How silly that a Detective (or anyone) would be interrogated in plain view of the entire station - in an office with a large display window. Offices used for taking statements and such are usually discreetly positioned - soundproofed - and provide no view of whatever distractions might be occuring in the station itself .... The charicature that is Jo Jo is quickly losing her 'charm' - the novelty's worn off - and what about that 'weasel bail jumper' Jo Jo locked up in her office? Is he still there? And why would she need her laundry done already? Did she bring a bag of dirty clothes? Funny that she too recognized Tucker (from TV) - beard or not - looks like Jill's the only one who didn't realize who he was ... No kidding - of COURSE gifting Kay with Joanne's name (and nothing else) was a mistake. Clearly, they should have taken a few more days - and investigated the woman BEFORE showing up on her doorstep (and inviting her back to theirs). At least Billy's finding the whole ordeal entertaining - perhaps he'll do a feature story on her for RS (and Malcolm can take the photos) ..... Odd that Neil had absolutely NO reaction to the news that Sharon was aware that Malcolm is Lily's biological father. With Malcolm in town, you'd assume he'd at least wanna confirm Sharon's secrecy  ...  Adam's really found the key to Sharon's heart - why didn't Jack or Nick discover the secret is to tell her how 'strong' she is on a daily basis? ... What's so special about CL's hot chocolate that Vikki loves so much - you'd think she'd be able to have the ranch's chef whip up the best hot chocolate money can buy - with chocolate imported from Belgium and REAL whipped cream etc. (I'm sure Kevin just dissolves those little envelopes of powder into boiling water) ... Weird - but I don't think I've ever seen Reed's feet touch the floor - he's either carried around by Vikki or JT ... Huh? JT never had the 'opportunity' to learn about business at Newman? I don't recall him ever expressing an interest - in fact, he always claimed he wasn't a suit kinda guy  ... Vikki wants JT to be excited about seeing her - and she wants to be excited about seeing him - but, the question is - are there ANY viewers excited about seeing either of them? ..  Really - what does Billy need with another photographer? What's wrong with the photos George takes? .. If Sharon's so interested in Noah's 'transition' why didn't she bother to get her ass out of bed to see him before he left for school?  She didn't even know he left the house until Adam told her.
