At the club, Adam explains his friendship with Dr Taylor - to Phyllis (AKA nails on a chalkboard personified). He steps aside to take Sharon's call - how's Ashley? she wonders - Adam? He's busy eyeballing Phyllis (who's eyeballing him).

Ashley's searched Adam's room - no purple cloth - WHY is he lying to her? Neil thinks it his nature.

Ashley's fine - nothing to worry about, Adam quickly ends the call - then goes back to trying to avoid Phyllis (who wants to know more about this purple cloth Ashley's trying to find). Adam DOES have time for a drink after all - oh, Nick didn't tell you he's with Sharon? he needles.

Back at Trimble's, Sharon finds comfort with Faith (and feels closer to her lost baby). Nick gets a call from Victor - I'm on my way. Nice seeing you Sharon, he leaves her to tell Faith - he's going to see your Daddy.

Over drinks at the bar, Phyllis denies she's bothered that Nick's with Sharon. SHE'S not threatened - but Adam should be. Phyllis can't WAIT to see Sharon's face when she finds out who he REALLY is.

Mike relays the call from the pet store clerk - then describes who he sold the rat to. A girl Lauren's now convinced IS Eden. Meanwhile, Jana's outside Trimble's - what have Daisy and Ryder been through 'together'? Nothing - he's a loser - she then spins a tale about the dirtbag asking her to find him a place to live.

With Eden still on the phone, Noah's at the Baldwin's - going through Daisy's backpack. Nothing, he sighs - just school stuff. Hang on, he checks a pocket - and finds a photo - 'Daisy and Max' is scrawled on the back.

At CL's, Kevin's too busy for Gloria - what with Tucker selling Jabot. Glo's interested - wouldn't it be something if she could outbid Jack. She'd need a partner. Look who just walked in - Jack. Don't do it, Kevin scowls as Glo goes to Jack with a proposition - her help in getting his father's company back. Now Jack IS listening. Taking a seat, Glo's willing to put her money with Jack's - promising he won't get any of HER money - unless it's to buy Jabot. A deal with my OWN money? Jack scoffs.

Jana races in to tell Kevin that Ryder and Daisy know one another - better than anyone knows. Kevin reminds that he worked at CL's - where Daisy often is. No - Jana thinks there's more. Red alert - what's Glo doing talking to Jack? What are THYEY up to? Tucker's selling Jabot, Kev answers - the vultures are circling.

Nick meets Victor at his office - Yes, everything's going according to plan. His scene with Adam had to be convincing. Nick thinks Tucker 'bought it'. He shares Tucker's offer to buy NE Cosmetics - of course Nick turned him down. He's taking bids. Victor suggests they make an offer - one Tucker can't refuse.

When Phyllis talks of Adam fighting with all his friends, Adam downplays his fight with Ashley - you're a bit melodramatic. Phyllis knows that secrets can tear one up inside. Have a wonderful evening - give Nick a wet kiss for me. Give Sharon a big wet kiss for me, Phyllis yells after Adam (who sticks her with the tab).

Rafe and a friend run into Sharon at Trimble's. Yes - he still considers her a friend (even though she's married to Adam). Mentioning the plane crash - possibly an omen, Rafe warns Sharon - Adam will drive a knife through her heart. He hopes Adam's 'changed' - for HER sake. Take care of yourself. Sharon's left to look uncomfortable.

Still at the bar, Phyllis is on the phone - posing as a reporter for the Chronicle, she's looking for info on Dr Taylor - for a tribute. Could she have access to the archives? Speak to colleagues? She'll be in Boston tomorrow. Great - see you then, she hangs up.

Back at CL's, Glo's also offering Jeffrey's money. He'll need any money he can get his hands on. I'm still hear aren't I? Off to order Jack's coffee - black, like his heart, she offers Kevin a 'finders fee' - he'd rather a higher position at Jabot. Jana's not impressed - your Mom's the Queen of Schemes - don't get sucked back in.

The Baldwin's are pleased to have the condo to themselves - but Mike spends it defending Eden. Lauren would rather talk about Daisy - and admits he was right - it's time to stop bringing strays home.

At the club, Phyllis thanks Rafe for meeting her. No problem, they wanted to pick up take out anyway. Giving Rafe a kiss on the cheek, his date goes to order lasagna. Phyllis apologizes for imposing on his date - but asks about Dr Taylor - was he intimate with Adam? No, Rafe chuckles - Dr Taylor was straight - he's not sure he and Adam even liked each other - it was a weird vibe - but not sexual. Phyllis mulls over the info - thank you.

Neil's still dissin' Adam to Ashley - he'll do anything to get his way. Ashley's seeing a side of Adam she never saw before. But he knew what I went through - is he a psychopath? has Neil told Ashley how beautiful she looks today? ~kiss~ Yes, Ashley's fine with being left to look for the purple cloth. Call you later, but Neil's already on the phone before he hits the front door - I need to see you - it's about Adam.

Jack and Gloria admittedly don't like one another - but both love Jabot. Blaming HER for being in this position, Jack thinks it fitting that she's part of getting Jabot back. The unlikely allies shake hands. I'll be in touch, Jack leaves Glo. Kevin can't believe his eyes - and will soon be a big 'mucky muck' at Jabot. How exciting. Only Jana's unimpressed - wasn't he doing well on his own? Kevin looks forward to being able to start a family - and help Ryder. You used to trust my intuition, Jana pouts - then heads out to find Ryder (to get the truth). Noah comes along - wanting to talk to Jana about Daisy. Walk with me, she invites.

Neil's now joined Phyllis at the bar - Ashley's scared - doesn't know why Adam's lying to her. She's still looking for the purple cloth. Yes, he does know what it's about (and explains Adam showed it to Ashley - telling her she hit Sabrina). Now he claims the conversation never took place. Both wonder what Adam's up to. Phyllis figures Dr Taylor was in the know - but died before he could spill Adam's secrets. Yes, she believes Adam killed Dr Taylor. Phyllis thinks they could solve this mystery - and get rid of Adam - IF they teamed up. Neil thinks it a great idea - let's do it.

Adam returns to Sharon at Trimble's ~kiss~ Do you love me? Of course Sharon does. Adam doesn't know what he'd do without Sharon (who doesn't think he deserves to be mistreated by Victor). No, Adam's not bothered that she spent time with Nick ~hug~ It's been a rough day, Sharon's sorry. Not your fault, Adam says over her shoulder.

In Victor's office, Nick updates that Adam played his role perfectly (when they ran into one another at Tucker's) - he was as arrogant as ever. Victor declares it an elaborate plan - using their family weakness (Nick and Adam's feud) as a strength. Nick figures they may as well use Adam's talent for deceit. Turns out this was all Nick's plan - but Adam doesn't know that (and won't ever if Nick has his way). Regrets? Nick doesn't like how it's effecting his family - and hates lying to Phyllis. It'll be easier when she's out of town. Victor will do whatever he can to regain Phyllis trust (in Nick) - we'll do great things together - starting with Jabot ~hug~

Mike's glad to hear Lauren's headache's better - and that Daisy will be leaving. Lauren has a big heart - or is a sucker for a sob story. How nice to be alone. Yup - the Baldwin's Boarding Home is officially closed ~kiss~

After calling Olivia, Neil relays that she wanted Ashley to get psychiatric help - Adam recommended Dr Taylor - who's world renowned - but her mental issues were never addressed. Phyllis spells it all out - why would Adam bring Dr T in - and why was he juggling Heather and Rafe. What is he trying to hide? Something must have happened between Ashley and Adam - and Dr T knew what it was.

Back at the ranch, Ashley thanks Sharon for taking care of Faith - but shouldn't they discuss their argument? What argument? Sharon blinks. It was a misunderstanding, Adam quickly corrects. No - either Adam was lying to Ashley the day after she took Victor's car - or he is now - which is it? Sharon turns to Adam (as if to say 'yeah - which is it?')

Back at the tackhouse, Phyllis comments on the weird day - Victor going off on Adam like that. Who knows why Dad does anything, Nick massages her shoulder. Phyllis lies too - she doesn't want to get involved - it's not her business ~kiss~

I've never lied to you Ashley (who figures she must be insane - remembering something that never happened). Adam denies showing her a blood stained cloth - you're confused. Ashley relays the conversation again. Why would I do something like that? Adam says. Patty had been terrorizing Ashley, Adam reminds - he never said she killed anybody. Sharon goes to get the door - leaving Adam to say Ashley's mixing things up in her mind. Neil now comes in to hear Ashley's mixing up two different days. Is that so? Neil just hopes to get to the bottom if it quickly. Adam doesn't appreciate being called a liar - by his biggest supporter no less. Frankly, it's upsetting. Ashley agrees - maybe he SHOULD move out. We need distance.

Jana scolds Noah for breaking into the Baldwin's apartment - but he HAD too - and LOOK what he found (the photo) - and look at the back. It's the proof Jana's been looking for.

Off to tell Jeffrey the 'good news', Glo promises to make Kevin VP of Creative Affairs. Impressed, Kevin only wishes Jana would be more supportive - but, hell no ~big grin~ he's NOT bailing.

Jana tells Noah about the other half of the photo she found. Ryder's name's on the back (which proves he and Daisy knew each other as kids).

Daisy's on the phone - reporting that Jana's getting suspicious - we need to keep an eye on her. 'I'll tell him' - then hangs up to walk into the Baldwin's home. Can I help? More tea? No - then Daisy's off to study for a test - good night. I'll talk to her tomorrow, Lauren assures Mike.

Phyllis interrupts Nick's kiss - to call the Swiss doctor about tomorrow. She'll meet Nick upstairs (for sex). Phyllis then postpones their appointment - needing to look up an old Harvard friend.

As Neil and Sharon look on, Adam's fine with moving out - but wants to preserve his friendship with Ashley. Sharon suggests they talk tomorrow - it's been a rough day. She and Adam will go out - give Ashley some space. Now alone with Ashley, Neil wonders if she IS confusing the two days. No? Then let's let Adam THINK he dodged a bullet - not to worry - Neil's working on a way to prove she's right. Meanwhile, Adam thinks Sharon for her patience (causing her to flash back to Rafe's warning). She's just chilly is all - and in need of distraction - let's go catch a movie.

At the club, Jack and Victor are both on the phone - making plans to bid on Jabot. As both hang up, Jack approaches the bar to order a double. It was a good day - thanks to Victor and Adam's public fight. But tomorrow should be even better. You bet, Victor agrees - it'll be an interesting day indeed - both drink up.

Next: Jill tells Kay she might be using her influence with Tucker to save Jabot. Kay accuses her of 'trying to take over' ... Patty's pissed - thought you had it all figured out didn'tcha Emily? That you could seduce Jack - marry him ... Outside, Chance throws Chloe to the ground and covers her - reacting to what sounds like gunfire.

My Thoughts: Feet propped up on the coffee table - all relaxed - Lauren might want to remove her high heel - maybe put a slipper on her good foot ... The clerk told Mike that the teen who purchased the rat was of 'average' height. Odd - cause Eden's fairly short - and Daisy's pretty tall .... Having broken into the Baldwin's home, why is Noah going through Daisy's backpack - right in front of the door? And instead of telling Eden to 'hang on' once again - on a long distance overseas call - why not just call her back? ... Of course Eden bought the rat - who ELSE would it be? Lauren blinks - clearly forgetting that she already asked that question - and Mike suggested Daisy ... With all the upheaval at CI, it's odd that Neil's not working hard to secure his job - instead of trying to solve Ashley's 'purple cloth' mystery. Instead of 'teaming up' with Phyllis - why wouldn't he call Paul Williams? Why is Neil, without blinking, blabbing everything Ashley tells him - to Phyllis? ... Olivia said 'hi' - to Phyllis? Guess she's forgotten that Phyllis is partly to blame for her sister's death by cliff diving ... After losing all her money in the Cayman bank fiasco, WHY on earth would Gloria put her money in another offshore bank? But how would Jack know if she touched a penny of whatever she's got in her own personal account? If the money's owed to Jack, why doesn't he involve a lawyer - instead of making idle threats to Gloria? ... Why is Victor drinking so frequently now? Is that any way to treat his new heart? ... Didn't Nick and Phyllis make a 'no lies' pact? Good to see that's in effect - not to mention all the lies Adam's soon to be busted for .. Nice to see Rafe 'out' and about ... Why hasn't Kay thought to put in a 'sealed bid' on Jabot? Or Jill? (cause the company means so much to her) ... Huh? Kevin wants a 'high level position' at Jabot? how high does he want to be? Isn't he a 'department head'? Cause that's the only employees important enough to attend Tucker's meeting ... So this brilliant plan was all Nick's idea? How clever. He worries how it's effecting his family - having to lie to Phyllis - but no mention of Noah feeling the need to leave the country ... Note Phyllis pawing her way through the bowl of nuts on the bar ... Trimble's really needs a 'no loitering' sign - folks seem to be under the impression that it's some kinda library/lounge - that the books are there for leisurely onsite reading - not for purchase .... So Phyllis thinks it odd that Adam and Dr Taylor were friends - then suggests they may have been involved? How can Rafe be so sure that Dr Taylor's 'straight'? Did he hit on him? Rafe didn't know anything about whatever Dr Taylor did to Skye (and whomever else) ... Has Phyllis not thought her plan through all the way? Getting Adam 'out of' all their lives - for good - would make Sharon single again (and we all know how that goes).
