Today's Spoiler

At the club, Jack doesn't think it too early for champagne - he has much to celebrate - bids on Jabot end at noon - their engagement announcement (complete with photo) is in today's paper (thanks to Chloe) - and in one week, he's marrying a most wonderful woman. Paul comes along - not in the mood to celebrate (as he's seen the newspaper - and isn't impressed with how 'public' Jack and P are). There's nothing to worry about - both P and Jack assure - Patty's in a secure facility (and doesn't have access to the library or media).

Meanwhile, Patty's out of supplies for her paper mache house - so really appreciates the staff member who brings her the newspaper. Yes, Patty's fine - just excited to finish her house (she snatches the newspaper - and comes across - you guessed it - Jack and Emily's wedding announcement). Sacred Heart? That's where SHE and Jack got married.

At CL's, Billy and Chloe chat about Delia (and whether she's saying Dadda or Prada). They need to discuss her upcoming birthday - but first, Chloe talks about the break in last night. Nothing was stolen - and it's good Delia was with Billy last night.

Kay updates Cane on the break in - the security team - and Chance are investigating. Kay's more worried about Tucker - auctioning off her 'life's work' - piece by piece. Does she just stand by and watch. We'll get him, Cane assures - you're not alone.

This isn't the best time, is Tucker's greeting when Jill visits - the mayor's coming by (having issued an official welcome to GC). Jill didn't know who else to turn to (then relays last night's 'terrifying' events). She's upset and 'shaking' - plus, with her family against her, Jill needed to see a friendly face. When Tucker's not overly concerned or sympathetic, Jill's disappointed. It's not a good time, Tucker repeats - this isn't working out - best we go our separate ways.

Oh, the cloak and dagger. Lurking between Trimble's book shelves, Victor calls Adam - a few shelves over - to say he had keys made (flashback to Adam getting an imprint of Tucker's key). Adam's directed to them (in an envelope - along with two disposable phones on the second shelf). Nick than joins Victor - think he can pull it off? He wants to please his father, Victor's answer is affirmative.

Jill's aghast - you're dumping me? Tucker's not big on 'drama', darlin'. Jill reminds that she alienated her children - and Kay - for HIM. Yes, but wasn't she always trying to use the relationship to get Jabot? Jill's sorry if that's how he sees it - she DOES care about Tucker. Never the less, Tucker wants to keep things strictly professional. Now, if you'll excuse me... Jill looks hurt by his dismissal (as, ignoring her, Tucker sits at his desk).

Jack gives P a little something - a very little something - a leopard print bikini for the honeymoon - so Jack can show P off. Jack will only say they're going somewhere 'warm' - she only needs the bikini and the toothbrush. P wants to book a room at the club the night before the wedding - to make her appearance more 'special'. Then - when pronounced husband and wife, it'll be a fresh start.

Patty throws a fit in her padded cell - he's MINE! You can't have him! A staff member peers through the window - as the furious Patty tosses things about - then pounds her fists on her bunk.

Having already called for back up, Mark, from the facility, calls Paul. Your sister's having a complete melt down - she'll have to be put in a straight jacket. I'm on my way, Paul bolts from the CL's patio.

Jack and P all but ignore Chloe - as she rattles off last minute details. Eyes over here, she scolds - and who's the best man? Jack hasn't picked one yet. On cue, Billy strolls into the club. What the hell, Jack only has one brother, right? And calling him over, Jack surprises Billy (by asking him to be his best man).

Why are you home? Kay asks Jill (who talks about their argument last night). Her apology is sincere - NOT feeble - she wishes she never got involved with Tucker McCall - but WAS trying to help Kay. He dumped you, Kay cackles - you made your own bed - and now you've been kicked out of it. Claiming they 'ended it', Jill hoped for forgiveness - but gets none.

Having summoned Cane and Adam, Tucker announces that he's whittled the many offers down to a few contenders. The only 'surprise' is that Victor didn't submit an offer. Adam suspects Victor's remaining loyal to Kay - or doesn't want to expand NE Cosmetics. When a change of plans sends Tucker to meet the mayor at the club, he hands both Cane and Adam envelopes of all CI holdings, he wants input on what to sell off next. And when Cane suggests holding off, Tucker questions his loyalty - never mind the economy - he IS selling. And as Tucker locks up his desk, Cane and Adam agree to touch base later.

Now at the office, Nick checks his watch - time to go. Victor is indeed enjoying 'this' - helping a friend (and taking down an enemy).

Cane joins Kay at the mausoleum - but it's not a social visit. Yes - he's upset - and has bad news - Tucker's moving quickly (with dismantling CI) - even though Cane tried to talk him out of it. As Cane mopes about CI soon being nothing but a pile of ashes, Jill listens.

At the club, Nick watches Tucker arrive - then alerts his father. Victor then calls Adam - all clear. Adam now enters Tucker's office (using his new key). Wearing gloves, he unlocks Tucker's desk - and removing a bunch of envelopes - containing bids on Jabot - he carefully slices them open and takes (and sends) photos with his phone.

Patty flies into Paul's arms sobbing - then tells him she has to get out of there. It's not supposed to be this way - I can't go on like this. It'll be alright, Paul soothes - breath.

Meanwhile, Jack and Billy shake hands - then hug - it's time to bury the hatchet. Off to meet the florist, the ladies leave Jack and Billy to drink champagne - toasting to 'new beginnings'. Sauntering over, Tucker brags about having his photo taken with the mayor - then shows off his welcome plaque. He'd like to see Jabot back in Abbott hands - but can't make any guarantees. Jack's also surprised to hear Newman didn't submit an offer. In parting, Tucker wishes them luck - he's always been a sucker for a happy ending. Still trying to look discreet at the bar, Nick watches Tucker leave - then sends another alert to Victor (who's talking to Adam). On his laptop, Victor's emailed the last offer - Jack's - by far the largest. Perfect - he hangs up.

Chloe and P are discussing how wonderful it is that Jack and Billy made up. Speaking of surprises - how's P's coming along? Everything's all set - only Chloe and Ashley know. He'll love it, Chloe's sure. Then - more talk of how great it is that Jack and Billy have put their differences aside.

How could you blind side me like this? Billy glares at Jack (furious that he wasn't even told Jabot was up for sale - while Traci and Ashley were). It's all good, Jack assures - by the end of the day, they could have Jabot back. Billy reminds that John was HIS father too - why is HE shut out? Like some bastard stepchild?

Nick returns to Victor's office - where do things stand? Victor's got copies of the sealed bids - the Abbott's offered twice the next highest bid. Jack's drinking champagne at the club? Victor then hands Nick THEIR offer. Nick raises an eyebrow. Yes, it's more than Jabot's worth - but, in the long run, it'll be a bargain. Sealing the envelope, Victor instructs Nick to have it delivered to Tucker asap - then sits to look smug.

Back at the Abbott mansion, Chloe's made a last minute change with the florist - the last thing on the list. P can't believe she's actually getting married - to a man she couldn't stand at first. nd now, they're madly in love. Chloe's shown the bikini - you'll rock this! both laugh. P then gets a call that wipes the smile off her face.

Thanking Mark for his help, Paul's glad that Patty's feeling better now. But returning to her cell, Paul's thrown when Patty extends her hand (in greeting) - lovely to see you again. Dr Emily Peterson, she smiles.

At the mausoleum, Kay goes over Cane's envelope of CI companies - these two Kay was thinking of selling anyway. Cane takes notes - he'll recommend them to Tucker. Maybe they can slow Tucker down - until Victor can DO something. Jill can help - if they'll let her. When Kay objects, Jill appeals to Cane. Kay let's him know that she's been dumped. Jill rants - for the love of God - let me help protect what's left of CI. Kay's delighted when Cane thinks he and Kay need to sort this out - let's continue in my study. Jill's left to look dejected as Cane trails after Kay.

How COULD Jack include Billy? He owes Ashley an insane amount (for RS) - and the rest of his money is locked up in trust. Cause YOU won't unlock it, Billy points out. Jack would have been irresponsible to let Billy go further into debt. It wasn't about cutting Billy out. I love you. Bottom line - Billy feels he SHOULD have been told - and is sick and tired of being treated like a snot nosed kid. Go find yourself a new best man, Billy snarls before marching off.

Adam arrives at Tucker's office - as summoned - to go over the Jabot bids. Pulling the envelopes out, Tucker gets a call from Victor - who's sending over an offer. Got your Daddy on the line, Tucker grins at Adam. Knock Knock - just in time. Taking the envelope from Adam, Tucker had no doubt Victor would throw his hat in the ring. Split screen - Nick hanging over Victor's shoulder - while Adam hangs over Tucker's.

Next: You promised that you and I would take Jabot to new heights! Jill shouts at Tucker (who's said so many things it's hard to keep track) ... I was thinking of Paris, a teary eyed Sharon turns to face Nick ... I've packed a bag - we're going on our honeymoon! Adam announces. What? Sharon stands with a smile - now?

My Thoughts: Could the Newman's Bond-ish cloak n' dagger act be any lamer? If only Mr Trimble marched over and said 'are ANY of you guys planning to BUY a book? If not - SCRAM!' And why is the blind guy in charge of taking the photos? Victor could easily ended up with nuthin' but snapshots of Tucker's desk. Why would Adam bother to take photos of ALL the bids - wouldn't Victor only need the highest offer? ..... How can the mental health facility run out of arts and crafts supplies? That's like CL's running out of coffee. Isn't anyone worried about Patty sniffing or eating the glue? Don't they know that paper mache involves water and flour (neither of which are in Patty's cell)? Wouldn't the staff have been warned that Patty's not to be given the newspaper (and specifically, why)? ... Slow day at the Chronicle? How many times will Jack announce his engagement? Did anyone care the first time? And why is Paul more upset THIS time? Why hasn't Paul gone to blast Billy? Jack announced to in the local rag - while Billy published it on the world wide web! Is it really fair that Patty's lost privileges she EARNED through good behavior - just so Emily can cover her own ass? Couldn't someone on staff monitor and edit newspapers and magazines - then let Patty have them? Given that Patty had a complete 'melt down' why wasn't she sedated? She should be in a deep sleep right about now - not freaking her brother out with her spot on impersonation of Dr P ... Yes - Dr P's in fine shape - for a lady half her age even - but a tiny leopard print bikini? That's a bit much... How on earth did Chloe get Jack's wedding announcement into print - after hours? .. Jack doesn't think to tell P that sacred Heart is where he and Patty said 'I do'? Doesn't he think some guests may remember - and he overheard gossiping about it? ... Knowing how Paul feels about his relationship with P, does Jack really think Paul wants to join them for champagne? So concerned about Billy's drinking, why would Jack offer him alcohol before noon? ... What? Did I really hear someone (Billy?) say that breaking into the mausoleum is like breaking into Fort Knox? There's no mention of an alarm system - and uninvited guests seem to have no trouble accessing the place - usually walking right in the unlocked front door. I've seen high schools with better security ... How 'bad' is Patty's melt down? Paul wants to know (like the words 'melt down' aren't self explanatory). If Mark's called for back up, why isn't any of the staff running to his aid? Shouldn't he be inside Patty's cell? Stopping her from hurting herself? ... Delia's already a year old? And just now saying 'Dada' - or Prada (Chloe felt the need to disappoint Billy) - she's not even close to walking yet ... Fenmore's, P notes from the box - Good taste? Please - It's the only store in town .. Why does Chloe tell Billy that nothing was taken (during last night's break in) - it was mentioned that a 'few' items WERE stolen - including Chance's watch.
