Don't keep em waiting, Chloe nudges the nervous bride. You look beautiful Emily, Jack whispers. Let us pray, Father Todd bows his head. Are you OK? he asks 'Emily'. Yes - a shaky nod. Let us continue, Todd bows his head again. Meanwhile, medics flood past the stammering Paul (who looks ill as paddles are used to shock P - in an attempt to save her life).

At the Baldwin condo, Lauren's impressed by Mike's French cuisine (if not the accent). Who could have helped him? Glo doesn't even know what the knobs on the front of the stove are for. Never mind that - Mike distracts Lauren with a slow dance and kisses.

Returning to his suite at the club, Victor finds his 'darling' on the laptop. Despite it being Valentine's Day, Nikki's surprised that Victor's not working late - AND that the key in the velvet gift box isn't to a new house - they're moving back to the ranch.

When Victor explains that Traci advised Ashley to let go of her anger, Nikki thinks it best for all. Ashley has bad memories there - and it's where Victor BELONGS. Victor scowls at the laptop - Patty's in the ICU - due to a suicide attempt. Poor Paul, Nikki has to run out to see him. Of course Victor can postpone his Valentine's plans - tell Paul to call if he needs anything.

And as Paul's warned to prepare for the worst, Jack and P's wedding continues. What God hath brought together - let no man put asunder. And do Jack and Emily have anything to say? Jack certainly does - thank God that he found Emily; caring doctor - avid sports fan, yada yada yada. Jack loves her more than he's loved anyone in his life. And Emily? Oh yeah - she DOES want to say something ....

As the Baldwin's move in slow circles, Lauren acknowledges that she hasn't been easy to live with lately - and is sorry about that ~kiss~ Already forgotten, Mike hugs her tighter - unaware of Lauren's troubled over his shoulder expression.

Paul leaves Patty's bedside to hug Nikki (and give details on her overdose). Yes - he knows what set her back. Ironic that Jack and Emily are getting married - while she's laying here. Where am I? P remains motionless - I'm supposed to be at my wedding.

Handing her bouquet to Ashley, Patty talks of pinching herself - waiting so long for him to come back to ... come into her life. Marrying Jack is like a second chance - here we are - it's gonna last - for both of us. She's been waiting a very long time ~sniff~ Oh how much she loves him. Jack now echoes Father Todd's vows - til death do us part (and then the sniffling Patty). Once the rings are exchanged, the 'man and wife' kiss. All applaud Mr and Mrs Jack Abbott - and as Jack grins at the crowd, Patty's exuberant and triumphant.

Mike comes out of the kitchen raving about the next dinner course - but dropping his oven mitt, is at a loss for words at the sight of Lauren in her lingerie ~kiss~

Now at the Abbott 'shindig', Traci toasts Emily - thanks so much for putting a perpetual smile on Jack's face. We're so grateful you've come into his life and ours. Jack looks puzzled as P goes for a glass of water. And as Neil's feeding Ashley hors d'oeuvres, Jack joins P (as she's being congratulated by Phyllis and Nick). After an awkward moment, the Newman's bow out - come and visit Summer. Yes, once we get settled, Patty falters. When the Murphy's are next offer congratulations, Patty escapes to get that glass of water. It's been a big day for her, Jack assures a concerned Kay. And when Chloe tells Billy it's been a perfect day, Billy quips that she's just jinxed it. Gulping water, Patty's startled by Father Todd - and thanks him for being the one to perform the ceremony. But we've never met, Todd points out. Patty can't imagine anyone doing a better job - the ceremony was moving. Yes, Todd could see she was effected. Patty was reminded of another wedding she was in. When Jack comes along, Patty stammers a good bye to Todd - it was a pleasure to meet you. Now alone, Patty explains that she's missing her family. I'm your family now, Jack hugs her tightly.

Chloe then commands everyone's attention - for 'Emily's' big surprise - take it away ... Later, Emily tries to postpone (but Chloe's not having it). And so, at Jack's side, Patty announces that they're going to start on a family right away. As all pull faces - and Chloe shakes her head, Jack tells 'sweetheart' that it's no surprise to anyone here. Oh - you're gonna keep him guessing? Tell him later? Chloe hisses at Patty. And now it's time for the fun part - the roast - or toast - of the bride and groom. Billy would like everyone to know what it's like to be Jack's brother. Uh oh. Billy then talks of Jack's loyalty to his family - makes him proud to be an Abbott. Jack will never let you down. Ashley heaps praise on 'Emily' - for giving Jack 'hope'. He's been waiting his whole life.

As Ashley toasts her new sister in law, Victor's arrival silences the crowd. Seems I arrived just in time, he says (gift in hand). Unhappy to see him, Jack claims it's a private party - by invitation only. I have a gift for you, Victor puts the box down - and will now leave him to his guests - wouldn't want to spoil the party. And as the verbal sparring continues, Neil chimes in to repeat that the party's by invitation only. You speaking for Jack now? Victor glares at Neil (who thinks he's speaking for everyone there). In parting, Victor hopes he hasn't caused undue stress to the bride - and hopes she gets everything she deserves. As Victor's about to leave, Traci asks for a word with him.

At the tackhouse, Nick thinks it weird to see Jack and Emily so happy - while his sister's marriage is ending. Seems it was over before Vikki left for Dubai. Phyllis now uses the word weird - not so long ago JT was holding vigil at Vikki's bedside. Nick and Phyllis then dissect the marriage - goes to show ya - you can't take anything for granted, they agree.

Nikki holds Paul's hand - she'll always be there for him. Paul said that to Patty - and now he's let her down (while Jack and Emily live happy). Doesn't seem fair. Nikki tells him to focus on his sister - getting her well. Oh my God - they think I'm Patty, P remembers hitting her head - drinking the water. Patty must be pretending to be me! When Father Todd arrives, Nikki leaves Paul to say Patty likely won't make it through the night. Oh God, P gasps (silently).

In the dining room, Traci reminds Victor that she gave him the greatest gift she had - not just Colleen's heart - but part of hers. Colleen was 'good' - and had a beautiful heart. You're wasting it with this petty feud with Jack. Haven't they all paid enough? At the door, Kay suggests Victor leave with them. Cupping Traci's face, Victor proclaims her a beautiful person - the heart of the family. And with a kiss on the cheek, Victor leaves the weepy Traci.

Thanking Jack for a lovely evening, Kay tells the newlyweds to be happy. Good night everyone. Following the Murphy's, Victor turns to give Jack one last glare (as the door's slammed in his face).

Nick and Phyllis now enjoy a bottle of wine by candlelight. The wedding has made the Newman's philosophical - reminded of how lucky they are - and how important it is to keep promises. To us, they clink glasses - and never taking what they have for granted.

And now it's time to cut the cake. Jack feels Patty a forkful first - then samples it himself ~kiss~ The dwindling guests applaud.

The William's brothers console one another - Patty's fate is in God's hands now. I'm not her - can't you see that? P thinks the words (as a weepy Paul takes her hand). You HAVE to see that - help me - I'm not Patty - I'm Emily. Emily.

On the front step, Jack and Traci exchange good bye's and I love you's. Inside, Jack finds Patty in a daze - you OK. Yes - why does he keep asking? She's just a bit tired. Catching the first flight out in the morning, Jack suggests they start the honeymoon tomorrow. No ~kiss~ Patty doesn't want to wait. Scooping his bride up in his arms, Jack carries her upstairs.

Bare chested, Mike grumbles about burning dinner. Lauren has a pizza box on her lap - she can't be sorry about what caused him to burn dinner. And now to eat.

Phyllis heads up - to put on the gift she bought for Nick ~kiss~ See you upstairs. Grabbing Phyllis' gift, Nick gets her ringing cell phone from her purse - and after a brief chat with the sitter, comes across a card - Harvard Alumni Relations (bearing the name Phyllis Newman). Hmmmm.

Let us Pray, Father Todd says - for the second time that day (as he and Paul mope over 'Patty's' bed). Meanwhile, Jack tells 'Emily' to slow down - we have all the time in the world. When she clutches him tightly, he repeats - it's OK. And as the William's brothers pray, Jack makes love to his eager bride.

Next: Ashley (Neil at her side) is furious - why would Adam want to bring someone like that into my home - my daughter's home!? Makes you wonder what else he's trying to doing to you - I understand, Phyllis replies ... Jack!? What are YOU doing here? Sharon's outside their suite - stunned (as is Adam). Sharon? What are YOU doing here? Jack (with Patty) is equally mystified ... What's going on between the two of you? Victor's at the ranch - glaring at Ashley and Neil.

My Thoughts: First and foremost - bravo to SH (Patty/Dr P) on her great acting today. I imagine anxiety would be a hard emotion to express convincingly (over sadness - love - anger) but she did - well done! ....LOL@ Traci - telling 'everyone' to grab a glass for her toast (when she could have just said 'hey - you 4 guests by the fireplace' - or named them off) .... Of course Nikki would think Ashley moving from the ranch would be 'best for everyone' - especially HER (as I'm sure she misses the 'staff' - her piano- and her walk in closet that's bigger than the suite she now shares with Victor) ... Note the DR's rather odd placement of the 'shock paddles' as he tries to revive P - like he was afraid to rupture her saline bags or sumthin' ... Jack loves the way P watches sports with such intensity? And even when she 'shrinks' him? Ha Ha - he's gonna shrink alright - like a frightened turtle (when he realizes he's in bed with his nutcase ex wife) .. How many times will Patty slip up before Jack clues in? She actually said 'You'll never know how much I LOVED you' - which is an odd slip up - since she still seems to have a bit of a crush on Jack .. Kudos to Jack for maintaining a straight face while pledging his 'fidelity' - again (to a woman he didn't know was 'alive' 3 months ago) ... How rude is Phyllis? Chatting away throughout Jack and Emily's vows. Maybe THAT'S why Jack scolded her for giving the bride her 'congratulations' instead of her 'best wishes' (who made that rule up anyway? But I guess only someone who's said 'I do' as many times as Jack has would be an expert on wedding etiquette) ... Hey - didn't Jack say he was gonna make Emily 'Mrs John Abbott JR'? - so why is Todd announcing her Mrs Jack Abbott? (guess he wasn't told she's going by neither - she's still Dr Emily Peterson) .... Alert and aware of her surroundings, why do the doctor's feel P won't make it 'through the night'? And given her grim prognosis, isn't it about time Mary got on her broom and fly out to visit the daughter she overprotected to the point that she was too fragile and 'delicate' for the likes of Jack Abbott? And wasn't there a third William's brother? .. Shouldn't Emily have a few more questions bouncing around her newly blonde head - like - why do I smell like peroxide? Why is my scalp itching and burning? Is it true that blonde's have more fun? ... With so few guests to begin with - why is everyone bailing out early - before cake even? Having just come from a romp at the club, do the Murphy's have better things to do tonight? Why on earth would Victor show up? What gift did he bring? A selection of Jabot cosmetics (with 'Beauty of Nature' labels slapped over em)? - or maybe it's a video tape - taken from the surveillance camera in Patty's padded cell ... Why wasn't Jack's front door locked? Why didn't Chloe (who 'agonized over every detail') - put more effort into the reception (perhaps a harpist or string quartet to greet the guests - transportation via horse drawn carriage from the church to the Abbott Mansion - maybe a uniformed butler - so that uninvited guests couldn't just walk in - and a uniformed waiter to carry around platters of hors d'oeuvres (so Neil would have to look for another way to kiss Ashley's ass) ... Why is the wedding photographer taking photos of Patty's BACK as she walks down the aisle - Malcolm woulda been shooting from the front of the church ... Why wasn't Daniel, another former stepson, at the wedding? ... As we haven't seen Lauren evict Daisy from the Baldwin Home For Wayward Girls - isn't Mike worried she might barge in at any moment - per usual - peeking through her hands at Mike's hot bod - she DOES like her men 'mature' after all ... Phyllis bought HERSELF lingerie for Nick's Valentine's gift? Let's hope Nick didn't go to too much expense and trouble for HERS ... Guess the Baldwin's and Newman's have forgotten that unattended candles destroyed Sharon's home - and nearly killed Eden and Noah (cause Mike and Lauren left theirs burning while in the bedroom long enough to incinerate dinner - as well as a fire raging in the fireplace - and Nick was ready to head upstairs to bed - leaving a candle burning in the dining room (or rather - the dining 'section' of the tackyhouse). At least Mike has an excuse - lousy memory - Lauren's recent bitchiness is 'already forgotten' .. Yeah Paul - it IS ironic; Patty laying there - Jack marrying Emily - does he not see the other irony? That they're marrying at the church where Paul was supposed to marry Nikki (the woman he's now whining to) ... What the hell is Phyllis thinking? Inviting Jack and his new wife over to see Summer (who will likely regress into infancy - rocking back and forth in the fetal position - if the adults get the 'willies' by Dr P's resemblance to Patty - how's the mentally challenged kid she almost killed supposed to react? ... How stupid IS Paul? Sniveling that he should have taken Patty 'somewhere' where she wouldn't have heard about Jack's wedding? Duh - it was published, by Billy (and others I'm sure) on the Internet. The WORLD WIDE web..... Have a great weekend and a Happy Valentine's Day dear readers!
