At CL's, Kevin frets to the Baldwin's - Jana missed her yoga class this morning! It's not like her to disappear like this. The police have been called - but won't do anything just yet. Kevin has a feeling something bad's happened.
At the ranch, Billy has a feeling too - that Ashley moving is a great idea. Incredibly, the Carlton manor's ready. Ashley reports that Abby's excited - Adam and Sharon don't know. With the subject of Victor off limits, Tucker's next - Billy's doing an expose (but has found nothing to expose). Has he spoken to EVERYONE? Well - he DOES have one more person to talk to....
Visiting Victor's suite, Vikki's thrilled with his interview in RS (which she happens to have in her hand). But why so public? And why go to Billy? Don't you worry Princess - Victor has his reasons.
Phyllis finds Nick in NE's break room (exactly where the wonderful Connie said he was). On his way home, Nick plans to pick up Summer's doll (forgotten at the ranch) - but now, he's gonna kiss his hot wife. Blocking him, Phyllis wants to talk instead - then warns that Adam's a lot more dangerous than they thought.
In their suite, the blind boy does up the clasp on Sharon's necklace - she's off to pick up their things at the ranch. Sharon's 'anxious' about his and Victor's plan - if they're busted for looking at the sealed bids, Adam could be made the scapegoat. Adam's not worried - but IS pleased that Sharon believes in him (despite Ashley and Phyllis' lies). Of COURSE Sharon loves her husband (though looks troubled as they embrace).
As requested, Kevin relays the events of last night - romantic dinner - being stuck in the elevator - Jana disappearing. The subject of Daisy and Ryder was off limits. Could they be connected? No, Lauren balks - Daisy's a good kid. I thought the same of Ryder, Kev reminds. Maybe Eden was right, Mike suggests. He'll call his friends on the force - but first, the club (maybe they saw something suspicious). Where IS Daisy anyway? Mike didn't hear her come in last night. Lauren doesn't know - but WILL find out.
So what if Nick asked her to 'let it go' - Phyllis loudly explains why she went to Ashley - of COURSE she had to tell her that the doctor Adam referred was accused of molesting his patients. Ashley now believes Adam (NOT Patty) was the one gaslighting her. Of COURSE Adam denied it. Nick and Victor should know they're conspiring with a 'diabolical' man. Nick sighs - Phyllis is right - he better tell Daddy.
No, no - Sharon can manage her own cardboard boxes thanks. And when Sharon defends her husband, Ashley insists Adam's a liar - he's NOT lovable - not even likeable. Ashley understands - she knows all about defending a husband - but SHE always had nagging doubts about Victor (and knows Sharon must be too). She hopes Sharon won't follow in her footsteps - she was kind to Ashley and so good with Faith (whom the teary Sharon will miss).
Still in Victor's room, Vikki gets a call from Billy. What does HE want? To thank her for saving him New Years Eve - a drink at the club? Vikki doesn't have time for this *click* She then hears the fight with Adam at the club was a charade - the interview a 'ruse' (for Tucker's benefit). Dammit - why wasn't Vikki told this BEFORE she accepted the CEO position (of a company bought unscrupulously). After her experience with the SEC, does Victor not understand the jeopardy he's put her in? Oh, don't get your panties in a wad - only 5 people know - Adam being one of 'em. Adam!? He's a loose canon, Vikki wails. Nick arrives to report Ashley kicked Adam off the ranch - and why. Great - Vikki worries Adam's out to get the entire family.
Victor never heard anything bad about Dr Taylor - but now that he thinks of it, some things didn't 'add up'. Vikki continues to worry about being 'royally screwed' - look what he did to Ashley. This could all blow up in our faces, Vikki's quitting Jabot - and won't 'hold off' on her decision. Victor will have her formal resignation by the end of the day. After Vikki marches out, Victor and Nick disagree on whether she'll change her mind. Adam will be punished, Victor assures - once the contacts are signed that boy won't know what hit him. Speak of the devil, Adam arrives - we need to talk.
Sharon comes down with her last cardboard box - apologizing for getting emotional (about losing another baby from her life). Sharon's welcome to see Faith anytime - Adam, not so much. Getting a call from Abby, Ashley's got 20 minutes to go sign a permission form for a field trip. Of COURSE Sharon will watch Faith (and promises Adam won't be around).
Phyllis bumps into Lauren on the CL's patio (and is told about Jana's disappearance). If you need anything ... Now inside, Phyllis gets a call from a Ms Stores from Harvard (who confirms she knew Adam Wilson). I'm sorry - he WHAT!? Phyllis is aghast.
Mike meets a frantic Kevin at the club - then reports that Jana left alone (and in a good mood). No - the eavesdropping waiter got it all wrong - it's the night that wasn't salvageable - NOT the marriage. Could the elevator thing have been deliberate? Could Jana be right about Daisy and Ryder? The chipmunk WILL get answers.
When Vikki orders a drink at the club's bar, Billy saunters over - assuming she's taking him up on his offer. Vikki does NOT want to talk about it 'off the record' - she'd rather be alone. Fine - then SHE can move over to that empty seat at the end of the bar, Billy sips his beverage.
Meeting Lauren on the CL's patio, Jana's grilled on her whereabouts last night. Jana's disappeared and Kevin thinks SHE has something to do with it. Oh - and Jana discovered she and Ryder know each other. Why didn't Daisy tell her? Daisy claims they were never friends or anything - he's like a stranger to her. Yeah - well - Lauren's having a hard time trusting Daisy (who vows she'd never hurt Lauren - she's like family). For HER sake, Lauren hopes Daisy's telling the truth.
Kevin's search takes him to Trumble's - where he grills Ryder (who hands over his time card to prove he worked last night). Ryder has nothing to do with Jana's disappearance - he likes her - wouldn't hurt her. Can he help? Stay away from me, Kevin storms out.
Side by side at the club's bar, Billy's talk of Delia finally breaks the ice with Vikki (but she won't talk about Jabot - or Tucker). Guessing Billy's pumping her for information for another story, Vikki doesn't want anything to do with it (or him). Fine - Billy will go ask JT - where's he at? How would Vikki know? - they're getting a divorce (but if she reads that online tomorrow she'll knock Billy's head off)
Nick and Victor need Adam to continue his great work - and what does he get out of it? We ALL get something out of it, Victor assures - as long as they stick together and keep quiet. Not so fast - where does Nick think he's going? Adam hasn't even told them why he's there.
When Vikki regrets telling Billy about the divorce, she's assured his discretion (and he thinks JT's an idiot - leaving such a hot babe). Oh no - Vikki won't be charmed into talking about Tucker. Billy's serious - she's smart, beautiful - JT's an idiot. That said, she's certainly not HIS type. We're still enemies, both agree - but clink glasses 'divorce sucks'
Adam prattles on about putting his ass on the line - if you cross me ..... well, just know Adam won't go quietly. Threatening Victor? No silly - Adam's merely reminding Victor that he needs him. Adam better get some respect - or he'll cause big legal troubles. Nick assures Adam has nothing to worry about. You'll get everything you deserve, Victor assures.
Phyllis approaches Ashley at CL's - she just talked to Janelle Stores (a victim of Dr Taylor) - she didn't have enough evidence to go after him - but guess who her best friend was - Skye Lockheart (also molested - AND Adam's girlfriend). Surely this proves Adam DID knowingly hook Ashley up with a molester.
On the patio, Mike reports the cops are at the club looking into Jana's disappearance. Kev and Lauren inform that both Daisy and Ryder have alibi's. Mike then gets a call - that's not exactly how it went down .... Hanging up, Mike agitates Kevin - seems Jana left of her own will. She's in serious trouble - Kevin just knows it.
At the ranch, Sharon explains to Nick that she's babysitting. On the day that WOULD have been their anniversary, Nick's concerned about Sharon's safety. They don't see eye to eye on Adam - or DR Taylor. Sharon doesn't see anything strange about two old friends having a drink. But how's this for strange? Adam told Phyllis they ran into one another on the street. He can't keep his lies straight. Who cares? Nick does - can't she see Adam's a liar?
Still at the bar, the 'featherweight' is teased about the lame 'girl like' punches she's delivering to Billy's shoulder (which he's soon rubbing) And as Victor strolls in, both look like scolded children when they notice him glaring. Having to go, 'Boom Boom' thanks Billy (then approaches Victor). Of course she didn't mention quitting Jabot - but she hasn't changed her mind. Sorry Dad. At the bar, Victor isn't laughing at Billy's joke (how many Newman's does it take to change a lightbulb? Zero - they always get someone else to do their dirty work). I'll be watching you, Victor growls before leaving Billy to chuckle - guy thinks he's 'Snidely Whiplash' or sumthin'.
Back at the ranch, Sharon carries Faith around as she whines about everyone dissin' her husband. Adam makes another timely arrival. Nick? Gimme a break - you know it is. Stalking my wife? Ashley marches in with Phyllis - telling Adam to get out (while Nick's quick to explain to his wife that he just came by to get Summer's doll). And look - picking up Summer's doll - tied around it's neck, Ashley finds the purple cloth. This is it! Ashley shoves it at Adam (who everyone, including Sharon, now looks at expectantly for answers).
Kevin slams his laptop shut - not a single lead on my wife! The Baldwin's offer reassurance - we'll find her. Oh Jana - where ARE you? Kevin frets. Oh - there she is - laying in the leaves - motionless - as Daisy and Ryder look down at her through wrought iron bars.
Next: Let me help you look for Jana, Ryder's stared at by Kevin (Amber and Chloe) ... So, Ashley's fine - the baby's fine - what was he after? Phyllis is on the CL's patio brainstorming they mystery (while Nick looks at her blankly) ... At the club, Adam listens to Jack, arms folded. You've been had my friend - come work with me - at least with me what you see is what you get.
My Thoughts: Silly Sharon - hair dye wasn't invented to prevent going gray - it was invented so's psycho's could dye their shrink's hair to take their place ... Shouldn't Ashley tell her good friend Sharon that she and her gurlz are moving into the house that Sharon thinks she and Adam are moving into? Or is she waiting for Abby to burst in babbling about how she's gonna redecorate the place with beanbag chairs and Jonas Brother's posters? Ashley had ample opportunity to mention it when Sharon was campaigning for her husband. And why does Adam keep turning up at the ranch anyway? What part of 'get the hell out' doesn't he understand? Didn't Sharon promise she wouldn't let Adam come around Faith .. I thought it was gonna be months before the insurance adjuster could even get in the Carlton manor? Know it's 'ready'? Knowing their stay at the ranch was temporary, why did Sharon even bother unpacking - why didn't she just leave her stuff in storage. But wait - what 'rest of our stuff' does she even have to pick up? Everything she owns was destroyed in the fire... Nice to see that Trumble's had no qualms about hiring the homeless kid panhandling outside their book store .. Is a formal resignation really necessary Vikki? You hadn't even stepped foot in Jabot - or assumed any CEO duties. Was the memo even sent out informing the employees? .. Way to go Connie - easily able to point the boss' wife in the right direction. I'm surprised she was even at her desk ... Kevin's searched for Jana at all her regular 'haunts'? What haunts? She hasn't left the coffee house in so long that she wasn't comfortable eating dinner out. I picture her blinking up at the sun - like she's just been released from months in solitary confinement ... Why hasn't Mike enlisted the help of his pal, PI Paul? No leads on my wife, Kev slams his laptop shut (was he expecting the leads to be Twittered?) .. Funny - it looks like Ashley has the same luggage set as the one Sharon and Adam wheeled in yesterday. But why would she be packing (and refolding) clothes in the living room? But don't ask Billy for help - it takes him 'forever' to fold clothes ... Why would Billy think Ashley knows anything 'personal' about Tucker McCall? She was only introduced to him the other day at the club ... Mike has 'friends' on the police force? You'd think they'd be a bit fed up with him and his family of criminals by now ... Just NOW Billy's thanking Vikki for saving him on New Year's Eve? Why wouldn't he have done so during the many hours they were stuck at the airport? Yeah - having Adam on the 'inside' - so he can 'watch' the whole 'Jabot deal go down' was a stroke of genius - but has Adam even stepped foot inside Jabot? .. If Dr Taylor's molestations are such common knowledge, why wasn't it discovered when Victor had him 'looked into'? ... Seems the club's waiter did a lot of eavesdropping on Kevin and Jana's conversation (but still managed to get it wrong). WHY did Kevin and Jana drive to the club separately? They came from the same place - and were supposed to spend the night in the honeymoon suite.... Of COURSE Phyllis isn't gonna 'let it go' - is Nick THAT stupid? Doesn't he know Phyllis is Ashley's best friend? ... Jump HOW high? Why would Ashley need to run over to the school to sign a permission slip? Can't she just give verbal permission over the phone? Maybe having Abby MISS the trip would teach her to be a bit more responsible ... Summer found the 'bloody' purple cloth - and tied it around her doll's neck? Did someone send the fabric swatch out to the dry cleaners? It sure didn't look bloody (or stiff like you'd expect a piece of blood saturated cloth would be 6 months later) ... Daisy was out with 'friends'? What friends? Whining to Lauren, Daisy claimed all the kids hated her ... Vikki's worried about being royally 'screwed' - things 'blowing up in her face' - being 'pumped' by Billy for information (who's 'head' she'll 'knock off'). Clearly Mrs Hellstrum is sexually frustrated. Too bad she's not Billy's type (cause he's so selective when it comes to women) ... How do Ryder and Daisy have 'solid' alibi's? Kevin didn't speak to Trumble's manager - Lauren didn't corroborate Daisy's story with any of her 'friends' or ask 'Zack' what time she left. If the police took the time to interview the club's nosey waiter - why couldn't THEY speak to Ryder and Daisy? .. What a diligent boss Lauren is - she wasn't even aware that Daisy worked an extra shift because one of her employees called in sick? Wouldn't the employee have called Lauren? ... Why would Ms Stores talk to a complete stranger - over the phone no less - about the personal and disturbing matter of her being sexually assaulted? How could she NOT have had enough evidence to go after Dr Taylor? Would the police just ignore her complaint - and Skye's? Why isn't anyone (meaning the nosey Phyllis) questioning Skye's untimely death'? You'd think she'd be eager to link Adam to her 'murder' ... Billy's a fine one to talk about Vikki drowning her sorrows - if drinking were an Olympic sport, he'd be waving from the podium, a gold medal around his neck ... Why would Billy tease Vikki about hitting him - like a 'girl'? Is he forgetting the 'featherweight', 'Boom Boom', recently slapped him across the face? Wasn't so funny then, was it? |
