Lauren stops shrieking long enough for Ryder (and Kevin) to explain that he's turning himself in (Daisy's long gone). Hiding behind Mike, Lauren rants that he'd have killed them - he's just like Daisy and Sarah. He helped us, Jana calmly reminds - he brought me medicine. You almost died! Lauren's frustrated by Jana's 'loss of feeling'. Hey - don't talk to her like that, Kevin points his finger. Sorry - maybe Ryder shoulda just gone straight to the police. Maybe!? You should be in jail til you die! Lauren screeches. Kevin then calls the station to have them pick up his fugitive brother.

Ashley's on the phone with Abby (who's to come home and face her parents). Yeah, Ashley's 'busy' too. Fine - Abby will be by later ~click~ At the jewelry store, Abby puts the owner on standby - to take care of one little thing (before her spree starts).

At the tackhouse, Nick has both daughters perched on his knee - my, how they've grown. Victor drops by for a hug - so relieved Nick's business trip's over. With hugs, Summer heads up to bed - leaving Nick to rave about being home. Victor pets Faith until she cries - then hears that Sharon and Phyllis are investigating in Minneapolis. Victor went to Kansas (where Adam lied about going). Nick's hand? Frank Ellis tried to attack him (which he suspects Victor orchestrated).

Poster in hand, Phyllis wonders where she's seen this man. OMG - he was at the ball the night Adam was murdered!

Lauren refuses to leave - until Chance arrives at CL's. Ryder apologizes to Kevin (who also wishes things had turned out differently). After Chance leads Ryder out, Lauren's sure Ryder's remorse is an act.

Abby sets up her camera - then doing an intro, turns her nose up at the various pieces Jonathan shows her. That's right, Abby gloats to the camera - I'm an Abbott and a Newman - I always get what I want.

Nick's not buyin' that this two bit forger came up with this plan. OK - so Victor did bribe Frank (to make it appear jail wasn't safe for Nick). Dammit, Nick frets - the DA won't be happy if he realizes he's been scammed. But yes - Nick WOULD rather be home tucking his kids in (than being in jail). Father and son will agree to disagree - now, let's work on getting those charges dropped.

Yes, Phyllis is sure - and look - this man disappeared April 1st - the night of the ball. Flashback to Phyllis pulling the mask off him (thinking he was Adam). Patty helped Adam escape - so, maybe THIS guy helped him skip town (and was the same man the diner manager saw at the pay phone). Something went wrong - and the man killed Adam (then took off). This could could be our man!

Victor arrives at Ashley's to briefly discuss Nick's release. Abby? She's 'chilly' - and must be treated like an adult - remain calm - don't overreact. Victor scoffs at the ridiculous reality show Abby wants to waste her trust fund on. Meanwhile, Jonathan finally delivers a piece that makes Abby gasp 'perfection' - I'll take it!

Back at CL's, Jana thinks it must have been jarring for Kevin to see Ryder again - and having to turn him in. It had to be done - though Kev feels like a hypocrite - how many chances has HE been given? When Jana assumes Kevin's too 'drained' to go out on their date, she's disappointed. OK - let's get going then, she sounds less than enthused.

Ryder's now behind bars and in prison attire. Daisy? She could be anywhere by now. Enter the Baldwin's. Now, you're the one in a cage, Lauren snarls - how long before someone comes to help YOU?

Now home, Phyllis is all over Nick - someone pinch me ~kiss~ We have the place to ourselves, Nick grins. Oh - no we don't. Sharon knocks, then barges in with the flyer. They then update Nick on Adam's accomplice (and probable killer). The police must be told.

Through the bars, Ryder assures that Daisy won't be coming to help him. Is Lauren supposed to be impressed - with what a stand up guy he is? Ryder ran because Kevin told him to (and he panicked). But Ryder can't live on the run - plus - needs to pay for what he did. No - he's not there to punish Lauren for killing Sarah. He's glad she's dead. Realizing he'll be behind bars for a long time, Ryder feels free - and has Lauren to thank for that.

At the club, Kevin thinks it the perfect place to start over - it's the last place they were together before ..... I was kidnapped, Jana supplies. No need to leave - shall we look at the menu?

At Ashley's, Victor and Ashley want Abby to prove she's mature enough to handle her trust fund. Abby wants access to BOTH - Brad's and Victor's. Abby CAN be responsible - how can she prove it? Victor suggests a stint on the local TV station - do features on fashion, entertainment. Ashley has another option - spokesperson for Glow By Jabot. Abby thinks them both great opportunities - but she's more ambitious, and doesn't want to answer to anyone. She's a grown woman, with business savvy and killer instinct. On cue, Victor gets a call. What? You can't be serious. He then tattles to Ashley - our beautiful daughter just charged am $85,000 necklace to her account.

$85,000!? Ashley wails. Abby reminds it's a tiny fraction of what she's worth (if they weren't so stubborn). While, Victor demands Abby's credit cards, Ashley demands she return the necklace to the store. This has got to stop right now. They'll discuss the funds one year from now. Unacceptable! Abby balks. And if Abby continues to act like a spoiled child, she'll be treated that way (and also lose her monthly allowance). Get it together, Victor warns - or she'll be doing a reality show on living without Daddy's help. Got it?!

At the club, Ken signs for a delivered box - then opens it to find the necklace and a note ('Told you I'd come through'). I'll be damned, Ken's impressed.

Phyllis, Nick and Sharon have summoned Chance to the tackhouse. Flyer in hand, he's told the man was at the ball. Stepping outside, Chance will call the Minneapolis PD and see what they can find out about this Mr Hightower.

With Fen sleeping at Gloria's, Mike suggests warm milk to calm Lauren. But no - she'd prefer a sedative. Clinging, Lauren's weepy - look what this night turned into.

Kevin tries to sell Jana on the chocolate cake - her favourite. Taking a delicate bite, Jana couldn't care less. When Kevin suggests they climb the water tower on their next date, Jana knows he's disappointed - and trying hard not to show it. Ryder's return shook everyone up (except Jana). Kevin DOES find it strange (that she's so unphased by her experience - and confronting her kidnapper). Jana decides to call it a night. Bowling? No - Jana's going now - alone (and without so much as a hand shake or 'thanks for dinner').

Chance returns to the tackhouse - the Minneapolis PD were helpful. Hightower has no record - a mechanic - a widower with a son. A sister in law received a letter stating he was never coming back (from Miami). The letter, reveals he was depressed - sick and afraid of dying - wanting to be alone - not burden his family. Chance will follow up with the family - this guy's an official 'person of interest'.

Kevin takes over his duties at CL's - yup - his date's over already - but there'll be others. As Ryder tosses and turns in his bunk, Jana arrives - with something she needs to say. Not everyone thinks he's a monster. Leaving, Jana hesitates - she understood what he meant earlier - having no connection to his sister - she knows all about being disconnected and lost.

Looks like Lauren's sedative has kicked in - and she's decided to have someone cover her at the boutique - so she can stay home. What if she DOES want to barricade herself in the apartment? Daisy's still out there, Lauren starts to pant and sob - I can't leave here. I can't do it ~hug~

Still at the tackhouse, Nick's glad someone in the DA's office is taking their theory seriously - but where IS Hightower? Not in Miami, Sharon assumes. Why would a nice, working class guy hook up with Adam? They MUST track him down.

Meeting Abby at the club, Ken worries who's gonna come break his legs when he sells her little trinket. Abby bought it - and is serious about their project. Ken gives her a reprieve - but needs more money. It's in motion - trust me, Abby assures.

At Ashley's, both she and Victor are served with legal papers - and opening the envelopes, Victor declares it 'outrageous'. Our daughter's suing for the release of her trust funds!

My Thoughts: Come in - door's open, Nick calls out to Victor. Why WOULD he lock the door - home alone with his two daughters - Daisy - and Adam's murderer on the loose. Guess he has a lot of faith in the security ... Note how Victor catches his blooper - asking why Summer's not home - I mean Phyllis (and how Faith immediately starts to bawl when Victor lays his mitts on her) .. Nick's still sticking to his 'business trip' story? Guess Summer has no access to anyone who has access to a TV, newspaper or Internet ... So WHAT if no one saw Adam at Hope's grave site? No one saw him running around the ranch for months either ... Frank folded like a 'lawn chair'? Guess that must have been after he had Nick bent over a table .... And then Nick 'saw Frank later'? Doesn't he mean right after a guard rescued him? ... Perhaps the jail should look into why convicts seem to have no problem getting access to hypodermic needles - and saline? ... Obviously, as his victim, Lauren's no fan of Ryder Callahan. So, why does Chance bring the Baldwin's to Ryder's cell - so she can blast him some more? Why does Ryder even GET visitors? He gets two visits within a half hour of being arrested ... And why didn't Kevin tell Lauren to stop shouting in his place of business? ... Jana really thinks Kevin would be 'drained' by the altercation between Ryder and Lauren? Or did dialing the numbers to summon the police 'drain' him? Surely, she remembers Kevin's been through a lot more 'draining' experiences ... Lauren's now suffering from post traumatic stress disorder - will she now get hooked on prescription meds? Or will it be dropped - like the last time? ... Not only has Jana lost her emotions - she's apparently lost her taste buds too! A flourless cake doesn't sound all that good - but if it was Jana's favourite 'before', wouldn't she enjoy it just as much 'after'? ... When initially taking Jana to the club for dinner, Kevin commented several times that 'this isn't us' - so why would he take Jana back there? To the place she was kidnapped from? Why not go somewhere more 'Jana' - like the water tower? But - they can leave if it makes Jana 'feel uncomfortable. Duh - Jana doesn't feel uncomfortable - she doesn't feel anything, remember? .... How much does Ken think he's gonna get for the $85,000 necklace? The pawn shop will only give him a fraction of what it's worth ... If Ryder's willing to 'turn himself in' - shouldn't he be GOING to the police station to do so? And did a Detective busy on a murder case go - instead of a coupla uniformed officers? ... Abby's favourite colour is 'sparkly'? Jonathan apparently does NOT know her taste - as it took him many tries to get something that Abby approved of .. And why is Abby filming everything now? Isn't a reality show supposed to broadcast live - or at least more recent? By the time Abby gets her show rolling, her trip to the jewelry store will be months old .... Nick can now really focus on his case? How about focusing on returning to NE (or will Vikki continue to do all his work)? ... Phyllis saw the man wearing the same cape and mask Sharon described? Wouldn't that include 99.9% of the men at the ball? She left like a 'moron' yanking his mask off? No kidding. 'All the pieces fit'? Really? .... Ashley really thinks Abby a 'perfect fit' for Glow By Jabot's spokesperson? She may have forgotten Abby's nude protest - but I doubt the consumers have ... Victor's accountant sits up after hours - to tattle immediately when a sizeable charge is made to Abby's credit cards? But isn't Abby an 'adult' now? .... The best thing about Nick being home is that Phyllis doesn't have to 'bunk with the in laws'? No worries - Sharon and Victor will come to YOU .... Ryder ran because Kevin told him to - and he always does what people tell him to (unless you're begging to be freed from the cage you're held captive in) .. Ryder hitchhiked back to GC? Someone was stupid enough to pick him up? Are there no 'missing posters' with his and Daisy's photos taped to posts? Wasn't an APB put out on them? ... Besides wearing clothes, when has Abby ever shown 'interest' in the fashion industry? .... Have a great weekend!
