Packed, and finally finding her passport, Lily sends Cane off for her prescription (grumbling that he wishes she'd cancel the flight). Lily hates having to leave Cane behind - but she WON'T use the babies stem cells (and neither will Mac).
A quick study, Devon already knows how Malcolm takes his CL's coffee - and now it's time for 'photography boot camp'. Refusing to join them, Neil sure doesn't need Malcolm to tell him how talented his son in - but if he ends up 'flipping' burgers for a living, it'll be Malcolm's fault. ' Never mind 'following dreams', NO ON is better off having Malcolm in GC *angry bro vs, bro glare*
At the club, Chloe does little to hide her disappointment that 'having breakfast' is Chance's big surprise. But her frown turns upside down upon hearing the 'sticky buns' will be served upstairs - breakfast in bed.
Also at the club, Heather and Paul discuss that Patty's adjusting well. And as Paul whines about failing his sister, Emily and Jack take a seat nearby. Suffering withdrawals from the meds Patty and Dr Jasper gave her, Emily's eager to get on with her life. Together? Jack bleats optimistically.
Only a few feet up the staircase, Chloe's disappointed when Chance takes a call - then is summoned away by the DA (while Chloe's told to go wait in the suite with her sticky buns).
Heather and Paul approach Emily and Jack's table - to offer apologies. Emily and Patty's lives was saved that night. If there's ever anything Paul can do .... Excuse me, Emily scurries off.
Mac and Daniel bump into one another at Trimble's. Confiding that (and why) Amber left, Daniel assumes Mac knows all about 'maternal' instincts. It's nothing personal, Mac assures.
Taking a break from packing, Lily plays with Humphey. Liv arrives - done packing yet? Meanwhile, at CL's, Neil and Devon are summoned to the Ashby's. As Malcolm wasn't mentioned, Devon offers to keep him posted. Arriving to blab everything to Malcolm, Cane asks him to deliver the meds to Lily. Cane? He's off to see a lawyer - not for immigration silly - if things don't go well in France, Chance plans to sue Mac for the amniotic fluid.
At the Ashby's. Liv tells everyone that the stem cell trial will begin tomorrow. No need for anyone to miss Devon's graduation (plus, Cane can't leave the country) - Liv's going alone. As Devon skips off to download some songs for Lily's flight, Liv admits to Neil that it's not the perfect option - it's a long shot.
At Trimbles, Mac assures Daniel that she's not all that selfless - but it IS selfish to have a baby to save a mother. Cane later introduces his lawyer to his wifes's .... 'father' (Malcolm). Now seated, the lawyer's asked what rights the Ashby's have over the amniotic fluid. Cane has a 'good chance'? Good - cause his wife's life might depend on it.
Jack watches Emily cautiously moving around her suite. Things have been moved, someone's following her, she claims. Her car was unlocked too. Questioning the maid, she claims that no one's been in the room - no one unusual seen in the hallway. Emily's still nervous - I hate this.
Having just been released from a psychiatric facility, Emily's in no hurry to call the police. Jack suggests she move to his house - her own wing - he can move to the pool house. Emily's snaps - did you set this up!? I don't need your protection. DOES Emily know that Jack wouldn't 'do that'?
The only graduation gift Devon wants is his sister's health. And when Lily calls Mac over from Trimbles - she tells Daniel that Lily picked the right option (going to France).
As the lawyer explains the case to Cane and Malcolm (who hopes the trial works so she'll never have to know of Cane's alternative). And if it doesn't work, Cane must be ready for action - he'll do anything to save Lily (even if she hates him for it).
In the rent-a-room, Chloe and Chance's cell phone's are officially turned off - and it's official make up time. And on the bed they hop - giggling and kissin as they go.
Just at Paul's suggesting Heather do up a resume, Pomerance appears to return her ADA badge. With a little lecture, Heather's a changed woman.
The entire Ashby gang gathered to bid Lily farewell (including Malcolm) - it's requested that any animosity be put aside. And for a good 5 minutes the Winter's clan et al. blather on about how wonderful they are - and how much Lily's loved. I love you ~the weepiest hug goes to Neil~ If Lily doesn't make it, she'll hold her babies in her arms in heaven (just as she lays in Dru's).
Chloe and Chance have completely forgotten about breakfast in bed - and my, look at the time. Chloe's in no hurry to get back to work - but Chance has a murder case on the go. Once it's solved, he'll have plenty of time for sex with Chloe.
The DA gushes praise all over Paul and Heather - and now, she's got work to do. Congratulations!
Seated with Jack, at the club, Emily signs for a letter from The Psychological Association (who are threatening to take her medical license away - because of her unethical behavior - like getting involved with a patient's ex).
At the bottom of the club's staircase, Chloe feeds Chance her sticky buns. They're interrupted by Heather (who announces, that thanks to Chance) she's been reinstated. And with a quick kiss on the cheek, Chloe's left to pout.
Jack's outraged at the threat against Emily's licence - she was held against her will! I'm a phone call away, Jack assures - as he leaves Emily to cautiously head up the stairs (unaware of the strange man lurking below).
More weepy farewells at the Ashby's - with Daniel taking a group photo (and Devon taking Humphrey). All are teary eyed as Cane takes Lily outside - he wishes he could go (and Immigration be damned) he'll be there if Lily calls. Come back to me baby ~hug~
Next: Abby tries to bring Jack onboard - Invest in me and I'll make us millions .... Kay scolds Daniel - she'd hate to think that Amber's waiting for him to show up - and it's never gonna happen.
My Thoughts: Huh? The Ashby's wish they had more time together? It's not like either of them have a job to go to ... Heather has a Badge? Amazing she never flashes it about .... Of course the Ashby's door is unlocked too - perhaps THEY have some phantom security guards hovering about the perimeter .... Amber left her job? Her friends? WHAT job? WHAT friends? .... Emily certainly hasn't been on the sort (and time span) of medications that would cause withdrawals - but if so, why wouldn't she have been given a prescription to help with that? Was it ever determined what Patty injected her with? And since the same needle was used on the guard, shouldn't she have been tested for HIV? HepC? Don't people experiencing from withdrawals exhibit some signs? Disorientation? Headaches? Shakiness? ....Um - I'm not sure those are the kinda 'sticky buns' Chloe had in mind ..... Who knew that the upscale suites at the GCAC could be rented by the hour - how gauche .... Are Daniel and Mac actually buying books? Or just loitering at Trimble's - as usual? .. If Malcolm's running some sort of boot camp, why not enroll Daniel (at least he thinks to bring a camera wherever he goes) ... Excuze moi Monsieur Winters - but what exactly is wrong with flipping burgers? A good rapid meat technologist is hard to come by. Nothin' wrong with an honest day for an honest dollar.... Oh - it's not enough that Emily was held in a padded cell while her obsessed imposter slept with her husband each night - now Emily's losing jobs - her license - and now has a stalker?
