See you in court, Abby snarls - she's of age (and is sure the Judge will agree). Yeah - but Ashley's in charge of the trust fund. Is publicity Abby's only goal? Abby squeaks about Billy and Vikki's scandal- they got married - drunk! THEY make the family look bad - and YES, Abby told Victor about the drunken wedding!
Dressed in Billy's shirt, Vikki frets about getting to her family - before Abby does. The newlyweds then bicker over which family Abby takes after - the Newman's or the Abbott's. Arriving, Victor orders Vikki to get dressed. Then showing the video, wonders what Vikki was thinking - marrying this idiot!?
At the station, Emily, Jack and Mike update Paul - someone's writing fraudulent scripts. It couldn't be Patty - someone else must be involved. At least Emily will get bail. Refusing financial aid, Emily only wants Paul to find out who's writing the prescriptions.
At the psychiatric facility, Phyllis is nervous - but can't be with Nick when he meets with Patty (who's upset with her). Reluctantly Phyllis waits in the hall - while a heavily sedated Patty's brought it. Nick knows she's sorry about Summer - and wants to talk about Adam. He can tell by Patty's reaction that she knows the name Hightower. Was ge at the ball? With Adam? Nick gently prods.
Ashley and Abby continue to bicker. Maybe Billy IS more immature than Abby - and Ashley regrets giving him the money to buy RS. But Abby must work her way up. Abby insists she can 'make this happen'. She won't make the same mistakes Ashley and Vikki did.
At the trailer, Victor accuses Billy of being a degenerate playboy - and what of Vikki's custody battle. Vikki blames HIM for that one - but the marriage is NOT payback! Pack up - let's go! Victor barks at Vikki. The hell she will - Vikki's not going anywhere with Victor (much to Billy's delight),
Ready to leave the station, Emily thanks Mike (who knowing about having one's life 'stolen' is supportive). Jack pouts - getting no praise, he looks left out.
Still using a gentle approach with Patty, Nick claims Adam set them both up (then goes on to explain the recording that landed him in prison for murder). Adam's 'sneaky', both agree. Patty becomes agitated - Nick can't go to prison - who will keep Phyllis away from her Jack?! And as Patty mutters about there being two of her - two Lauren's - and two Adam's, Nick all ears.
More mother/daughter bickering. This just isn't Abby - the girl who stayed up all night with her sick horse - not the 'Naked Heiress'. It's a character, Abby explains. Yeah - but like getting your boyfriend's name tattooed on your body - it'll always be there, Ashley points out. Abby will never be ashamed of her Naked Heiress persona - and sure the Judge will rule in her favour, slams out.
Paul accepts Emily's 'thank' - it's the least he can do. Still giving Jack the cold shoulder, Emily's reluctantly forced to accept Jack's offer of a drive home.
Pouncing on this 2nd Adam, Patty's blathering about, Nick asks about Richard Hightower. Spotting Phyllis watching through the window, Patty goes hysterical - Jack's MINE! Nick's questioning comes to an abrupt halt - as the doctor leads the highly agitated Patty out.
Back at the trailer, Victor rants and raves - Billy will humiliate Vikki - he's using her to avenge HIM. Billy objects - I'm in love with your daughter. With an enraged Victor's finger jabbing at his face - and then a shove, Billy suggests they take it outside. Don't tempt me, Victor's finger's still at work. After Victor slams out, Vikki takes a shove at Billy - 'I'm in love with your daughter'!? Are you out of your mind!?
Billy again comments about being married to a violent woman. No - he didn't mean it. Perhaps he DID want to rattle Victor's cage - the words just came out. Stomping off, Vikki insists she didn't marry Billy just to piss her Dad off.
Victor visits Ashley - to show her the wedding video. Classic Billy, Ashley tuts - but Victor shouldn't alienate both his daughters - talk TO them - not AT them. Ashley then admits she had no better luck with Abby. After losing Faith, she misses how close she and Abby once were. Oh well - off to court they go.
Ready for the hearing, Rafe coaches Abby - let ME do the talking. A burly guard comes along to check Abby's purse (seems she dodged the security check). Come with me, the guard leads Abby off - leaving an unimpressed Rafe to shake his head.
Now at the club, Emily's given her mail. Oh great. Having heard of her arrest, the Psychological Association have suspended her license. The picture of sympathy, Jack offers to pay for Emily's suite - or she can move to the Abbott mansion. NO? How about the pool house - she'll love how Chloe redecorated it. Unenthused, Emily agrees - but gripes that it's playing right into Jack's hand.
Uggh - this tiny bathroom's like a coffin. Vikki knocks things over as she struggles to do her make up. Oh great - the doorknob's broken! Let me out!! OK snookems poo - Billy will get a screwdriver. And as he goes to work, Billy admits he enjoyed the confrontation with Victor - and Vikki's like that little cartoon character - his little chicken hawk. Still stuck in the bathroom, Vikki can't help but smile.
At CL's, Nick and Phyllis go over the whole two Adam's theory. Hightower had the same build - and the same mask. One of em's in that grave - and the DA's not gonna help. It's time to tell Victor (knowing he'll say they must take matters into their own hands).
Shown the wedding video, Mike tosses out words like temporary insanity - Vikki was clearly intoxicated. Meanwhile, Rafe scolds Abby. Sneaking a camera into court could find her in contempt. When Ken arrives, Abby has a quiet word with him (and is thrilled that the glasses he's wearing have a hidden camera). Now before the Judge, Rafe begins talking about Abby's trust funds. Abby jumps up - wouldn't it be easier if she just spoke for herself? Rafe can only hand his head again.
Bringing Patty in to visit Paul, Dr Fowler relays the violent outburst that necessitated heavy sedation. Paul's devastated by her catatonic state.
OK - so Emily will move into the poolhouse - he just needs to have all the cat hair removed. The cat? It's been found a good home. Why Emily doesn't even have to SEE Jack if she doesn't want to. Her one condition? She pay rent once she's working again. You're a tough sell, Jack grimaces.
With Vikki now free of the bathroom, Billy apologizes for yanking Victor's chain. He's not sure why he said 'those words'. Vikki keeps harping on it - to the point that Billy wished he never said it at all. Refusing breakfast, Vikki (once again in a snit) storms out.
A wide eyed Abby stands before the judge - as she talks about her business plan and strategy. Mike points out that as Jabot's CEO, Abby's mother is more than qualified to evaluate this business plan. Besides, Abby has NO investors. The Judge can see that Abby's intelligent and ambitious - BUT - that she has no further aspirations than to make a spectacle of herself. Abby SHOULD have been charged with indecent exposure. The Judge must protect the public from Abby's mindless drivel. Plus - Abby's parents have her sympathy and support. From the back, Victor wags an 'I told you so' finger at the gaping Abby.
Vikki returns to Billy's trailer - with a new door knob. No need - Billy thinks this one has sentimental value. For someone who doesn't love me? Vikki prods. Yes - she SHOULD pick a different guy - but she likes this one. She even likes the sound of her new name; Victoria Abbott ~kiss!
Still at the courthouse, Victor pulls Rafe aside to discuss the annulment. Agreeing with Ashley that they should stay out of it, Mike's done some checking - Jamaican marriages must take place before 8pm - and the video shows 9:45. Therefore, the marriage isn't legal.
Ken pulls Abby out of her snit. He got great footage on his glasses - already downloaded to his laptop. Ready to get back at the Judge, Abby also rejects her mother's kind words - she hasn't even begun to fight!
At the Abbott mansion, Emily's emotional - it feels different. jack knows she feels different about HIM too - but will work to regain her trust. Invited to show herself around - and call if she needs anything, Emily forces a subdued 'thank you'.
Paul question Patty on whether she wrote any prescriptions to anyone - or gave anyone a prescription pad. When Patty weakly mutters 'brother', Paul doesn't get it (thinking she's referring to him).
At CL's, Nick and Phyllis update on Nick's talk with Patty (about the 2 Adam's). Adam faked his death - but the DA won't exhume the body. Victor will get the body exhumed if he has to dig it up himself. Adam won't keep another secret from him.
Next: At the club, Ashley tells Tucker that if he's hoping to involve her in any of his schemes they're gonna have big problems. ... Billy wags his finger at Chloe - you can't handle that I'm serious about another woman... Kay talks to Mac at Jimmy's - You wouldn't want to raise her children if Lily doesn't survive. |
