Adam obediently zips Skye's dress. How does she look? Hot - and eager to make love on crisp $100's (she's sure to win at the poker game). She delivers an unwanted kiss to Adam's neck - just a few more hours and we're home free - no worries about Victor. Adam won't regret letting her go to this game. After Skye leaves, Adam rips the photo of Sharon out of the newspaper - and examines it through his tunnel vision. Sure LOOKS like he has regrets.

Sharon's also checking out her photo - and talking to herself in the mirror. Come out, come out, wherever you are - she just has to get through this - and go home.

At the tackhouse, Nick's managed to put Faith to bed. Phyllis reports that Mike's coming over - and she's making sandwiches (which Nick's not interested in). Heard crying over the baby monitor, Faith's fussiness is attributed to Sharon being gone - Nick knows it's been hard on Phyllis too. Things will improve when Victor comes back - with Adam.

In his hotel room, Victor closes his briefcase - and takes a call from Mike (who reports a problem - he's been subpoenaed - Owen insists he come back to testify). Victor pays Mike a lot of money - straighten this out. Mike warns that a warrant will be issued for Victor's arrest. So what? Victor knows the Brazilian authorities won't give a damn. Yeah, but Victor being in Brazil will cause Owen to imply that Nick's gonna jump bail - it's just one more thing that'll make Nick look bad to the jury.

On the sofa, Lily's going through a baby name book - Asher Ashby? Yeah, Lily's just kidding. Oh, how good it feels to laugh. Lily doesn't want to spend her dying days dying - she wants to prepare for the babies - the future. Cane then brings up the will that was delivered while she was gone - specifically that Lily wants him and Mac to raise the babies together (if she dies). This'll complicate the contract with Mac - it's not like he can ask her to go to Australia if he's deported. Of course he can handle the twins on his own. Lily sighs - guess she didn't think it out. Cane's not 'hurt' - they'll figure it out before the babies are born ....

... or maybe not. At the mausoleum, Mac's experiencing sharp pains (as JT and Kay tend to her). And as Billy arrives with gifts for Delia (who's out with Chloe), Mac groans in pain (and is helped out by him and JT). Let's get Mac to the hospital!

In their Brazilian hut, Skye's confident that Victor can't cause them any problems - money talks. Yeah - but Victor's money screams - at the top of it's lungs, Adam retorts. Skye's greased enough palms that they should be able to relax. . Knock, knock - Judge Medeiros - what a surprise. How did he find them? He knows everything - and wants to accompany Skye to the poker game. Surely, Skye can convince Mr Wang to let him in - there's so much at stake (wink, wink - nudge, nudge).

Arriving at the tackhouse, Mike accepts a sandwich - then coos at Faith (in Nick's arms). Phyllis forces a grin (as Nick talks of bonding with his daughter). Time to stalk strategy. The DA knows that Victor and Sharon are in Brazil - and assumes that Nick's plan is to join them (to run off with Sharon). Ridiculous, Nick sputters - Faith's here. Not to mention your wife and other daughter, Phyllis chimes in quickly. He's a flight risk - Victor's been subpoenaed. OMG - Victor MUST find Adam. Nick moans about the danger Sharon's in (as Phyllis scowls).

Letting Victor in, Sharon was just on her way out to check out the shops and cafes in Brazil - see and be seen (as the newspaper photo didn't work). Victor won't 'allow' it. Besides, there's been a change of plans - they must go home - asap.

As the Ashby's do some online window shopping for the nursery, Billy arrives to announce that Mac's been taken to the hospital. Mac doesn't want them to worry - it's OK. We have to get to the hospital, Lily gasps.

It's not Braxton Hicks - you're in labour, the doctor announces that she's given Mac drugs to slow down her labour (and others to speed up the twins growth). In bed, Mac's told to get some rest - relax. Nothing can happen to these babies, Mac frowns at Kay (who then demands the Lord not let them down - or they'll 'have words'). Amen, JT also looks worried.

Still at the door, Skye needs a moment to finish getting ready - and as the Judge waits outside in his car, she reassures a nervous Adam that everything will be fine - she can handle herself. Adam thinks Skye too complacent. She's not - but will pretend to be. Just stay - chill - when she's back .... And as the impatient Judge returns to nudge Skye along, Adam gives Skye a kiss - for good luck (not that she needs it). Be careful, he whispers in her ear. Gentleman, shall we? Skye heads off with the Judge and his driver.

Sharon can't believe that Victor's been subpoenaed - having hoped the DA would see reason. Victor admires that she always sees the good in people. Yeah, well - she shouldn't have looked for the good in Adam (whom she'll stay behind to look for). Victor won't hear of leaving the mother of his grandchildren behind to flush out Adam - pack and wait by his plane. Victor will be there asap - with Adam. Please do as I say, are his last parting words.

Racing into, GCM, the Ashby's (with Billy) are updated that Mac's gone into premature labour. The doctor joins them to report that she's slowed down the contractions (which she's hoping to stop). If not, there's an 80% chance the babies will survive (weighing around 2.5-3 lbs). The longer labour's delayed, the better off the babies are. Lily's soon at Mac's bedside - there's nothing for Mac to be sorry for - she's heard the word 'there's no guarantees' many times. Yes, she's an optimist - expect good things (and listen to this passage from the bible).

In GCM's waiting room, JT's the one to tell Billy about the hearing he knew nothing about (while Kay reassures a frightened Cane). Lily and Mac are still fighting - Cane should be too. The worse case scenario .... Is your fault, Billy rounds the corner to confront Cane.

As Billy starts in on Cane (over suing Mac), JT warns them to keep it down (then walks on). In front of Kay and Cane, Billy asks the doctor if Mac having a really tough day could induce labour. And when the doctor admits stress may be a factor, Billy snarls at Cane; nice going. If it weren't for HIM, Mac and the babies wouldn't be in trouble. That's enough, Kay defends Cane (who talks of wanting to save Lily) - then orders both to behave.

With JT on Mac's other side, Lily's delighted to hear that JT and Mac are together. The chuckling ends when Mac groans in pain. JT! Get a doctor!

Back at the tackhouse, Phyllis clucks about through this - we've been through worse. Faith in his arms, Nick's grim - Victor's damned if he does (find Adam by defying the subpoena) - and damned if he doesn't (Adam gets away).

As Sharon's packing, Adam (in a pastel blue suit) creeps around the hotel's hallway - flashing back to happier times with Sharon (who reads his sappy 'I love you' card). And now, the 'closet romantic' is outside Sharon's door.

Mr Wang welcomes Skye to his private railroad car warmly - Judge Medeiros not so much (until Skye requests a favour - and points out that including a Judge could be beneficial). After an assistant wearing white gloves takes everyone's briefcase, they're introduced to a sheik in full headgear. Now where's that pigeon they're all so eager to win money from?

Unable to reach Victor, Mike and the Newman's aren't sure if he's on his way home - with Adam (and Phyllis forces yet another grin when Nick decides to call Sharon - for info - and to make sure she's safe). Mike will try go talk sense into the DA - the subpoena's last minute - it's a long flight. As Nick's left to call Sharon, Phyllis shows Mike out (and outside, moans and groans about how much Nick cares about Sharon). When this is over, Phyllis wants the man she wants to fight for HER.

Inside, Nick's still carrying Faith around as he dials Sharon's number. About to leave, Sharon goes back into the hotel room to answer Nick's call (as Adam dives out of sight to listen). Sharon talks of the newspaper photo Victor arranged - sorry, but it didn't work. - they won't be bringing Adam home. Nick's just glad she's safe - then holds the phone out so she can coo at Faith.

Outside, Phyllis jokes about popping tranquilizers. Oh God - what are the police doing here? Shoved behind a smiling Mike, Phyllis drops her head on his shoulder - they're there for Nick Newman.

Nick and Sharon hope Faith's 'upheaval' will soon be over - he'll be acquitted and she'll have both parents around. Gotta go - he hangs up abruptly - what's up? Bail's been revoked - Owen must have convinced the Judge that he's a flight risk. Mike'll get working on it. Phyllis knows the drill - she'll tell Summer he's on a business trip. Nick figures they should try to reach Victor - tell him to stay in Brazil.

Meanwhile, Sharon's still in her room - calling for a taxi to take her to the private airport. Opening the door, she's stunned to come face to face with none other than Adam.

Skye's chat with the sheik comes to an abrupt halt when she recognizes Victor's voice behind her - and looks frightened - withering under Victor's menacing glare.

Back at GCM, the doctor calls for a gurney - she can't stop Mac's labour - she needs a C-section NOW. Lily covers her mouth in shock (as JT, Kay, Cane and Billy look horrified).

Next: Getting a visit from Vikki, Nick (in his prison duds) scolds her - you took Billy Abbott to Japan? You never shoulda gone through with that meeting .. Adam knows Sharon's feelings for him are long gone now. They're not gone, Sharon replies .... Winner takes all, Skye tells Victor. The winner takes my son Adam, Victor replies.

My Thoughts: Sorry for the extreme delay - I was feeling a bit under the weather and had a nap. It`s been a weird day - an earthquake and tornadoes - in Ontario - bizarre .... Shouldn't Adam be trying to lay low? Do folks in Brazil really dress like Mr Roark from Fantasy Island? .... Be quiet, JT warns - Mac's right inside that room. Of course she is - isn't EVERYONE admitted to that same room? Yeah, JT - you and mac ARE quite a pair - a boring pair .... How fortunate that Lily happened to open the pages at a bookmark on a passage that both she and Mac are familiar with ... Mac's not due for two whole months, Lily gasps (like every other baby in GC was born at normal gestation - is the 'timing' ever 'ideal'?) At least Mac will give birth in a hospital - not stranded in an elevator - or snowstorm .... What part of 'give me a moment' didn't the Judge Medeiros understand? Who's he to say 'it's time to go' - he wouldn't even get in to the private poker game if it weren't for Skye ... What's the worst that can happen? Skye ending up shot dead in an alley? Actually no - it'd be worse to be decomposing in a sewer at the Newman ranch's stables (without a single person giving a rats ass - or expressing any kind of curiosity - as to who you are - and how your rotting body wound up there). Having been the one to discover the body ID'd as Skye Lockheart, you'd think Nikki might at least wonder .... Mike talks 'turkey' with his mouth full - before he gets into 'strategy' he must make a phone call - but not chew and swallow the turkey sandwich in his mouth .... How can Nick NOT pick up on Phyllis' reaction to HIS reaction whenever Sharon's name is mentioned (which seems to be every sentence). He doesn't even do Phyllis the courtesy of rolling his eyes to acknowledge her remarks - as he continually prattles on about Sharon ... Faith's adorable - but aren't there fancier pacifiers for rich babies? Poor kid looks like she's got a big green hole in her face .... Adam? A 'closet' romantic? Yeah, I guess he kinda WAS in the closet ... Why is Skye calling Adam 'my love' - and talking about making 'love' on crisp, green $100 bills? Does she forget that she and Adam are nothing more than 'friends with benefits'? That she didn't 'get' the concept of love .... Oh - anyone with $100's in their wallets might wanna cash em in for a coupla 50's - kinda gives 'greasing palms' a whole new meaning ... Yeah Mikey - you go tell the DA that GC to Brazil's a 'long flight' (even though both Sharon and Jack seemed to arrive within minutes). But why would Owen think Victor being in Brazil makes Nick more of a flight risk? Couldn't he be on business? ... Asher Ashby? Yeah - that's got a real ring to it. Why not name the twins Drew and Dru (after Lily's dearly beloved dead Mommy)? .. Oh - so Cane DOES remember that he'll be shipped off to Australia should Lily die (or get better). Odd that no one from the Department of Immigration is checking on them. Cane wouldn't 'feel comfortable' asking Mac to leave everything and come to Australia with him? I guess not - cause she'd likely refuse (although her bartending and bar managing skills would ensure her employment at Phillip's bar). And wouldn't it take a while for Mac to be able to emigrate? Isn't Cane afraid the twins and Mac might be in danger from the evil cattle rustlers? .... LOL@ Kay coaching Mac through her 'cramps' .... What's with all the gifts Billy brought over for Delia? It's not her birthday or anything. Does he WANT his daughter to be as spoiled as his niece Abby? ... You have to eat something, Phyllis lectures Nick - like he's her kid or sumthin' .... How convenient that Victor got a new cell phone - and gave Mike the number (so he could imply he's overpaid). Victor must have been without a phone for a while - cause initially, he seemed quite puzzled that his pocket was ringing ... Skye claims that no one will 'be able to touch' them once they're filthy rich - but, on the other hand, claims that Victor (a billionaire) has no influence in Brazil. Does she know everyone in Brazil? Haven't she and Adam been hiding out for the most part?
