In her hospital room, Mac's dressed (but needs JT's help to put her shoes on). Told she's going home a hero, Mac confides that Lily's will stipulates she and Cane will share custody of the twins (should the babies stem cells not save her life).

Meanwhile, Lily's beaming at the incubators she's chatting away to. Add Humphrey to the list of protectors - if Lily 'can't be there'. Looking through the big window, Neil's joined by Cane (who reports that Lily's treatment starts today - let's hope miracles come in three's).

At RS, Billy's on the phone (discussing the latest hot story they're 'all over' - Adam). When Malcolm and Devon arrive, all three hope Lily's health improves. They're there for Abby's photo shoot. She can be a handful, Billy warns.

At CL's, Abby's surprised her sex tape didn't create more buzz - so wants her RS cover to be smoking hot. It WILL be - Chloe got her a smokin' hot model. Abby excuses herself to give Daniel one last shot at joining her on the cover of RS. No thanks - Daniel takes a pass on being the 'naked artist'.

Mike and Victor arrive at the club - to find Owen holding a mini press conference (in which he blames both Nick and Adam for Hightower's murder). Wrapping it up, Owen's accosted by Victor and Mike. Patty Williams the real killer? Never mind her confession - she's nuttier than a fruitcake, Owen scoffs.

I killed one of the Adam's, Patty mutters to a befuddled Paul - the devil came to me last night - told me I had to confess. Meanwhile, Adam's let into his cell. You look pretty good for a dead man, Nick calmly opines - welcome home.

At RS, Abby sashays over to Uncle Billy (for whom she's doing a big favour). Never mind that Ashley her brother, Abby's an entrepreneur. Nothing over the top, Billy warns her. Abby then hugs Malcolm, 'the best' - but there's some 'little' changes to the original concept, she announces. Chloe then introduces 'Lars'. Giving him the once over, Abby wants to start by 'losing the clothes' (which raises eyebrows for Malcolm and Devon).

Back at the club, Mike explains Patty's motive (while Victor suggests Adam coerced her to take the fall). Yeah, yeah, Owen will look into it. As he exits, Victor mumbles that he's an unrepentant fool. Mike gets a text - Adam's in jail - awaiting a public defender. Make sure he gets an incompetent one, Victor orders.

In their shared cell, Nick's cocky - sure he'll be released soon. As he lays out 'proof' of his set up, Adam reminds that it's not illegal to donate bone marrow etc. etc - the only thing they have him on his escaping police custody (but he still bets he'll get less jail time than Nick).

It was REAL, Patty insists the devil came to see her (flashback to Adam tormenting her fragile mind). The light was burning in my brain, Patty babbles about the blood on her hands. Paul assures it was a nightmare. And when the DA comes to question her, Patty's to say she's confused. But Patty DOES know what happened - she knows 'everything'.

Malcolm, Chloe and Devon strategize on how to handle their model - take a few shots her way (then get on with it). Yes, humour her. Abby and Lars come out in robes. Follow our lead, Abby instructs. Oh look, Daniel's brought Abby's forgotten sunglasses (which she puts on). Great - now he can see what he's missing. All squirm - as, at Abby's signal, she and Lars drop their robes. As Malcolm snaps away, Billy comes out to put a stop to things. Put this on! he looks the other way (as he shoves a robe at Abby).

When Lily stops by, JT leaves her to express her gratitude - and talk about the possibility of her dying. If she does, Mac shouldn't feel it was a mistake. Lily (if she dies) will leave the world her beautiful children. Yes, Mac will tell them how Lily feels ~hug~

As the stenographer sets up in Patty's room, Paul's in the hallway arguing - he waived the right to an attorney ONLY because he thought he'd be allowed to stay. Arms folded, Owen's not after Patty - she won't know any details (and if she does, it's because Adam fed them to her). Horrified to hear Adam was at the same hospital, Paul's sure he engineered Patty's confession. Owen's having the surveillance checked out - to see if Adam got to her. No, Paul can't help (as Adam's lawyer will say he influenced her). Though frustrated, Paul takes a deep breath - then promises Patty he'll be right outside. Now alone, Owen tells Patty that he only wants the truth.

Nick's sure the jury will see through Adam - what kind of man kidnaps his brother's child? Who'll testify? Adam's equally confident. The unstable Ashley? The dead doctor? Sharon? or anyone else who's lied for Nick? Adam speaks as it to a jury - I'm just a poor farm boy - raised by a hard working blind woman - came to GC for acceptance from my family - but instead, was despised - disowned - kidnapped - threatened with torture unless he confessed to crimes he didn't commit. When Nick declares Adam a sociopath, Victor arrives to agree.

I said nothing over the top, Billy reminds. Funny, Daniel didn't see anything over the top - or anything over Abby's bottom either. As Billy, Malcolm, Chloe and Devon all chime in, Daniel takes Abby aside - you want contrast - sweetness/sin .. innocence/experience. THAT'S what's gonna pull people in - will the good angel or bad angel win? OK - everyone, including Billy agree. But Abby refuses unless Daniel poses with her. Desperate to get the cover shot, Billy offers him a photo essay in next month's issue - any topic - just help. Pressured by all, Daniel caves - fine.

Back at GCM, Mac's wheeled before the big window (for one last peek). She, Lily and Cane gaze at the twins. Eternally grateful, the Ashby's insist Mac come visit - wanting her to be a big part of their lives. Promising to take good care of Mac, JT wheels her off (looking devastated).

Two sons behind bars - you must be so proud, Adam taunts. He wants one of us to take a swing, Nick scowls. Victor claims everyone can see though Adam (who vows to tell all the family's dirty little secrets on the stand - the jury will cheer him escaping them). Adam Newman? Nick's delighted to see the unimpressive public defender arrive - that'd be you, he smirks.

Patty explains she poured cognac all over the body - caused the explosion to hide what she'd done. I'm so sorry, she weeps. Looking troubled, Owen joins Paul in the hall (where they're told that Patty and Adam WERE in the common room at the same time - but didn't come into contact). No - Adam couldn't have gone to Patty's room. Authorizing Paul to receive a copy of the tapes, Owen gets no joy out of informing that Patty knows details that were never released. Mike arrives on cue - then you have your killer (and it's NOT Nick Newman).

Paul's not buying Patty's conveniently timed confessions - she's a scapegoat. Mike suggests Adam tricked Patty into murdering for him. Either way, there's no case against HIS client. Owen won't drop ANY charges - until he's investigated. Yeah, well - if Nick's not released on bail, his team will be holding a little press conference of their own.

Victor updates Nick on Patty's confession - she's gullible (and was manipulated by Adam). The DA will HAVE to let him go. Both scoff at the inept lawyer with Adam (who won't exactly have stellar defense - thanks to Victor's connections). Across the room, Adam's lawyer's 'pretty sure' his arraignment's tomorrow - and is optimistic he can plea bargain for a 10-15 year sentence. No way - Adam's pleading 'not guilty'. Admitting he's 'not much of a litigator', the public defender's fired - get outta here!

At RS, the photo shoot gets underway; Daniel and Abby posing with strategically placed inflatable pool toys, Chloe and the staff looking on as Malcolm clicks away. From the shoulders up, Billy warns Malcolm. As make up steps in, Abby gives headline ideas - all revolving around being 'naked'. Cue the usual cheesy musical montage photo shoot.

Now at the mausoleum, Mac moans and groans about everyone fussing over her. Fine - JT will take her to his place (and ignore her). Suffering from what she believes to be post partum depression, Mac's first laughing - then crying on JT's shoulder. I'm a mess, she wails.

In scrubs, the Ashby's and Neil gush over the incubated twins. When the doctor informs it's time for Lily's stem cell infusion, Lily admits to being nervous - but if anything works, it'll be this. Bidding her babies good bye, Lily promises to get better.

Delivering a paper bag with Nick's clothes, Mike announces he made bail. You did one helluva job, Victor praises. Now left in the cell alone, Adam picks up the phone - too bad he has no change. Enter Billy - looking for a story. He's the early bird, Adam's the worm (or the snake). We might be able to work something out, Adam starts thinking.

Packing up their gear, Devon didn't realize there was so much 'manual labour' to photography. Abby thanks Malcolm - her Mom sure will be shocked when she sees these pics. Now alone with Daniel, Abby thanks him - but which 'angel' is he rooting for? The good one? The bad one? That's what I thought, she grins mischievously at Daniel's silence.

In parting, Owen thanks Patty for being so helpful. Paul's proud she told the truth ~hug~ Leaving his sniffling sister, Paul's back in the hallway with Owen - adamant that Patty's the perfect scapegoat (Adam got to her - HE'S to blame).

To get Adam's story, Billy must hire Rafe to defend him. Rafe?! He wouldn't spit on you if you were on fire! Get me Rafe, Adam insists (or no story).

Mac's still whining to JT. Once the pain of the C-section's gone, it'll be like the pregnancy never happened. Boo hoo. Meanwhile, Lily's receiving the stem cell infusion - Cane on one side, Neil silently praying on the other.

Next: Emily talks to Patty (in Paul's arms) - is it possible Adam scared you? Threatened you into confessing? ... Just meet with him, Billy requests. You can be a real son of a bitch - you know that right? Rafe answers. Yeah - Billy hears that a lot ... Adam appeals to Sharon - I didn't kill anyone - you believe that don't you?

My Thoughts: WTH would Abby's photo shoot take place right in the middle of RS's main office? Don't they have a photo studio? A set - with a background? Doesn't Abby care that anyone getting off the elevator - even folks delivering stuff, can come in and take some shots on their cell phone? What if someone walked in with a child? Like Delia? (which is feasible - since both her parents are there) ... Great - the psych. hospital's common room is monitored. Won't someone see Adam lurking about? Stabbing a pen through the baby? Handing out cat masks to all his new friends? ... Mac and JT sure ain't no Cinderella story - no glass slipper's gonna fit on those feet .... I won't even go into how ludicrous it is that Nick and Adam would find themselves unsupervised in the same space - or that both brothers would be speaking to their lawyers within earshot ... Note how Victor takes credit for Adam's less than 'stellar' defender (I guess he includes Baldwin as one of his 'connections'). No idea how Mike would have any say on who's assigned to Adam (as he's in private practice - and has nothing to do with the DA's office) ... Poor Devon - having to perform such rigorous 'manual labour' - putting cameras into a bag (which they then wheel - not carry - out). If there's anything hard about today's work, it wasn't the labour. Huh? This is Devon's first time helping Malcolm on a shoot? Didn't he get the job a month ago? Malcolm only does 3 or 4 assignments a year? ... Why is Owen holding his press conference at the club - instead of at his office? ... Abby respects Billy for not waiting around to take his place in the family business? Does she know Billy worked for Jabot in Hong Kong? Does she know he borrowed money off her Mom to buy RS? ... Patty's nuttier than a fruitcake? Kinda politically incorrect for a DA to say, no? ... Of course Victor would say Patty's gullible - easily manipulated. He should certainly know - he was the first to do the manipulating .... Adam really thinks there's no evidence that he kidnapped Faith - because Ashley was unstable - and Sharon's been known to lie? Like no one else was aware? Like he's never been proven a liar? .... Why on earth would Adam want Rafe to represent him? A man who ranks pretty high on the 'I hate Adam' list? And since the fist inept lawyer expect it to be a long trial - how much is Billy willing to pay for Adam's 'story'? And didn't he fire his mother for publishing Adam's 'story'?
