With Faith napping, Nick drops by to apologize to Sharon (but can't help bur worry for her safety - with Adam out). In another suite, Skye comes back from at breakfast meeting with Vance. Adam better get his ass outta bed - they have a plan to transform his image (which starts with him going out in public). Not after Victor's speech last night - Adam wants to lay low. Yeah, but Skye married Adam for his name - we're gonna salvage it 'baby'.

At the ranch, Victor notes that Adam's on the front page of the newspaper again. Meggie's asleep - the doctor prescribed rest and fluids (for her 'fatigue'). There must be a good reason Meggie fled to GC - she doesn't scare easy. Nikki points out that if Meggie's in danger - she could bring it into their home - does it have to do with Adam and Skye? Good morning, Victor turns to beam (as Meggie descends the staircase).

Why is Jana at CKL's? To cover Heidi. Kevin? He's doing payroll (which is now on Thursday). Ryder adds to the tension (bringing Jana the cell phone she left in the car).

Over breakfast at the club, Nina and Paul discuss the movie they saw last night. How nice that Chance and Heather are becoming good friends. Too bad it's under such dangerous circumstances. Paul may be relieved that Chance is watching over Heather, but who's watching over Chance?

Ring dammit! Chance orders the phone. At the apartment, Heather worries she turned it off. Both reach hands for the cell phone - yup - it's on. They're awaiting a warrant for cell searches - no warrant, no drugs or informants - no info. Chloe arrives - to pick out a wedding date. Calendar in hand, Chloe nixes some dates. August 26th? Naw - won't work - that's the day she married Cane. When Heather gets the much anticipated call, Chance has to leave with Heather. Chloe's fine - we'll do it later. Chance WILL give her the wedding of her dreams. After Chloe leaves, Chance and Heather dash out too.

Sharon watches Nick (watching Faith nap). He can't stop protecting her. But his overprotection is the big problem. Faith can't grow up feeling she needs protecting (like Nick does to her - Victor to Nikki). Most women would be grateful their ex husband's care, Nick opines - he has confidence in Sharon - it's Adam he doesn't trust.

Aw - and here Adam thought Skye married him for love. He insists they lay low. Skye disagrees - Vance too - they need to restore Adam's image before he goes to trial. And here's a list of charities he's making donations to. Buy a good name? Works for Victor, Skye persists - show people you can be good. Adam scoffs. Skye won't back down - yeah, she loves her new name. But what are her 'intentions'?

Meggie loved the bed she slept in - only thing missing was someone to keep her company. Ha ha. As Victor goes to make a business call, Nikki serves coffee. Of course she doesn't mind Meggie's intrusion - she's grateful Meggie helped Victor.. No wonder he turned me down, a chuckling Meggie admits she 'made a pass'. How lucky Nikki is - she wouldn't some of the bums Meggie's hooked up. Oh, I probably would, Nikki continues to smile (but it seems a tad forced when Victor returns to say he's cleared his schedule - I'm all yours).

Paul half heartedly grumbles about Nina dragging him to a 'legendary' show sale at Fenmore's (as he'd rather be at the lake). Bribing Paul with a coupla kisses, Nina's permitted to shop - yay.

And WHY is Ryder still hanging around CL's? He sign says he gets to refuse service to anyone he wants. And when Jana decides it's time they both leave, Kevin wonders how they'll afford the suite. Ryder's got it covered - let's go. Chloe appears to ask what that was about - Ryder gives her the creeps - must be hard to see them together. She wants him? She can have him, is Kevin's attitude.

The warden reluctantly complies with the warrant Chance and Heather have surprised him with. Let's move the prisoners - now, Chance means business.

Meggie explains that Shaw Roberts didn't like her helping Victor - and decided to teach her a lesson (by shooting up her bar). Yeah - she reported it - but there were no witnesses. She was gonna open up - but the same goons were hanging around her home. She knows it was presumptuous - but Victor DID say 'if he could ever help ...' No hard feelings if he wants her to take a hike. Nikki eyeballs Victor expectantly.

Nick's delighted to be in the restaurant - having breakfast with Sharon and their daughter. Sharon wants Nick in Faith's life - hers, not so much. Nick's cool with her boundaries - but will look after his children. Enter Adam and Skye (who exchange glares with Sharon and then Nick).

The newlyweds saunter over - what a happy family - perhaps he'll send a picture to Phyllis. Nick stands - threatening to personally throw him out. Let's go, Skye grabs Adam's arm. In parting, Adam comments on which one of them will be convicted first. Now at the bar, Skye orders Adam to hold his head up - the jury will be sympathetic - and she's got his back - wait til she hears the plan. Sharon doesn't care if Adam wins - she doesn't want to be in the same room as Adam (so marches upstairs).

Nikki's smile vanishes - as Victor invites Meggie to stay as long as she needs (until the authorities have dealt with Shaw). There's plenty of room, Nikki reluctantly adds. You'll be safe here, Victor assures.

At the jailhouse, Chance didn't find anything in the cells he checked - and that never happens. He's determined to get the name of every dirty cop. If we come up empty, Owen will be all over us, Heather whines (not as optimistic as Chance that they'll find the drugs).

Nina and Paul lug shopping bags into Paul's place. But the date's not over just yet - Paul has more in store. Does it involve clothing? It involves LESS clothing ~kiss~

Back at the suite, Ryder and Jana decide to 'do something' - a picnic - movie? Ryder DOES have a job lined up - but would rather spend the day with Jana. OK - it's a date. As Jana goes to freshen up, Ryder's smile evaporates.

Back at CL's, Chloe's trying to cheer Kevin up with stories of Delia. They fall flat, but Allison's arrival puts a smile on Kevin's face. Chloe grins at their flirting. And after Allison goes to sit down, Chloe's told about their date. Dude, she's cute. Ask her out again - open your heart to new possibilities (like her and Chance).

No drugs - no weapons = someone tipped off the inmates, Chance and Heather agree - but who? Not even Rogan knew. Dammit! Chance shoulda seen this coming. On cue, Owen barges in to rant - going to Judge Bessie on MY case? Chance takes the blame - he forced Heather to make the call.

Owen also blames Heather - for going rogue - now, everyone's been tipped off. EVERY cell was squeaky clean, Chance and Heather relays - there's a leak. If they find anything, they're to notify HIM or Rogan. One more stunt and Chance will be thrown off the case - Heather out of a job.

Nikki's smile is still pasted on - as Meggie talks of the ranch being a palace - a stable with AC. Nikki offers horseback riding - and no, silly, Meggie doesn't sound like 'such a yokel'. She felt the same when she first came to the ranch - it's magical. Looking at Nikki, Victor thinks it good to be reminded of what one has.

Breakfasting at the bar, -Skye tells Adam that she's started a hedge fund - success breeds success. Using the system they came up with at Harvard, she's invested the money from brazil - and is outperforming everyone out there. People are noticing and she's already got some calls (from potential investors). Once the SCC approves it, the Newman name and her skills ... he Skye's the limit? Adam quips. Funny, Skye acknowledges - but she's playing with the big boys (and plans to be twice as rich).

Back in her suite, Sharon thanks Nick for walking them. No need for him to talk to the manager (about Adam) - she can't stay there. Grabbing a suitcase, Sharon declines staying at the ranch. She's not just leaving the club, she's leaving GC.

Chance pouts to Heather - I blew it. I'm a failure. He's gonna give up the case - time to cut his losses. Heather insists he did what he had to do - took a risk. Your job's in jeopardy - don't let Rogan get to you - he's jealous. Heather points out that they've spent a lot of time together - he's honest, trustworthy etc etc. And when he's got her back, she has nothing to worry about. Caressing his cheek, Heather declares him the best man she's ever known. Heather thinks he's coming in for a kiss - but gets a hug instead. Oh wait - now it's a kiss (one that takes them to the sofa). Oh look - the place IS wired tapped after all.

Chloe will put Allison's business card up at RS - see you around. She then tells Kevin that Allison has a home business - spray tans. She made an appointment - for HIM. Kevin doesn't want a spray tan. What have you got to lose? Chloe persists.

Jana and Ryder descend the staircase - discussing what movie to see. Spotting some officer's speaking to the manager, a nervous Ryder remember the cell phone he left upstairs. The officer then asks Jana where Ryder is - we have a warrant for his arrest. Nope - it's no mistake.

Nick will help Sharon find a high security building. No - Sharon doubts that'd do it - she needs space - between her and ... a few things. She needs perspective. She'd never keep Nick from Faith - and of course, she'll stay in touch. Nick promises his sleeping daughter that he'll see her soon. If she walks ... Sharon will send picture - maybe she won't be gone that long. Nick gives her a kiss - be safe. I will, Sharon stammers - she'll call when she gets settled. In the hallway, Nick gets a call - and is tipped off that a Newman hedge fund has been registered. He has no idea what it is, but WILL find out.

Adam and Skye toast with champagne - to the Newman Fund, both drink.

Meggie recognizes a photo of Adam in the newspaper - then looks faint. The Newman's offer bed rest - food - don't overdo it. Yes, she will go lie down. Now alone, Nikki wastes no time; about Meggie ... Victor needs to call Mike first - to see if there's a police report of Meggie's ordeal. Victor then tells Nikki that Meggie seemed s straight shooter - but not everyone's what they claim to be. So, he plans to find out.

Paul and Nina are naked - making out in bed when Chris comes knocking. Paul? You home? she looks anxious and excited to see him.

Next: Chloe caresses Chance's face - is this case gonna ruin us? Chance can only sigh and look depressed .... The ground rules eh? Meggie smiles. Nikki's not (as she warns that Victor's off limits) ... Nina reminds Chris - I emailed you - I told you we were spending time together. Yeah - but I didn't know it was code for ... this.

My Thoughts: Before analyzing Victor and Nikki's relationship, perhaps Sharon should ask Nikki if SHE feels Victor's overprotective (cause she seems to be perfectly happy with her black knight) ... Oh yeah - Adam making charitable donations (with poker game earnings) will really impress the jurors (until Mike reads out the convenient dates of said donations) - and why would the jurors care that the Newman's are making even more money playing the stock market - how does that make them look respectable? ... Fenmore's shoe sale is so fabulous that women fly in for it? Yet there's no line up? And Chloe - the fashionista - isn't there? .... Why doesn't anyone in GC ever think of the obvious - like Sharon (and anyone else who cares to) getting a restraining order against Adam? And if Skye was proven a cheater at cards - and things were 'dangerous' for her in GC a full year ago - why isn't it dangerous for her now? ... Nikki went to bed before the doctor arrived to check Meggie out? Puh-lease. She'd prop her eyelids open with toothpicks all night if necessary - to find out what this woman's up to. Medical attention probably wouldn't have taken as long - if Nikki'd called 911 instead of summoning the family doctor out so late in the evening .... Kevin didn't know that Heidi wasn't gonna make it in for her shift? Perhaps instead of payroll, Kevin ought to focus on scheduling ... Come on Paul - Nina doesn't need you shoving sugary good down her throat ... Oh great - Christine's back. Won't this make for an interesting triangle. A dull character - a character barely seen - and a character who's been gone for eons (and fans haven't exactly been clamoring to have back). Chris looks pretty well the same - a tad thinner in the face ... Of course it's just a matter of time before Chance and Heather locked lips. But now that he's cheating on Chloe, how can he be the prince charming Heather thinks he is? I'm guessing Chloe would NOT be 'so understanding about this' - and will regret shoving Kevin in Allison's direction. A home based spray tan business? I can only hope for comedic relief (of Kevin turning orange) ... Meggie's police report didn't go anywhere because there were no eyewitnesses? Wouldn't bullet holes in her bar be witness enough?
