Paul? You home? OMG - is that Cricket? Nina and Paul dress hastily. It IS you, Paul yanks open the door - but things get awkward when Nina appears (putting her shirt on).

Victor hangs up the phone, then updates the curious Nikki that (as per Mike), Meggie's bar WAS shot up - but there were no witnesses. Soooo - there's no proof she's telling the truth, Nikki forces Victor to admit (then mentions Meggie hitting on him). Victor assures Nikki that he has no interest in Meggie (who then interrupts - wearing a man's shirt she got out of the closet - hope you don't mind).

In the hallway, Jana learns that Ryder's to be arrested for burglary etc. Unlocking the door, they find the suite empty. Jana refuses permission to search for stolen goods. Have a nice day, the officers leave Jana to do a frantic search of her own (which turns up a diamond bracelet). Oh Ryder, she sighs.

Meanwhile, at Kevin's, Chloe insists Kevin go get a spray tan (by Allison) - be happy - like her and Chance (whom Kevin won't let her go check on). Good thing - cause Chance and Heather and nude and in bed.

Victor and Nikki confront Meggie - the Ottawa authorities didn't buy her story. No surprise there, the police aren't as friendly since she helped Victor (though he's not to blame). When Meggie offers to leave, Victor won't hear of it (and will try to corroborate her story). Pasting her smile on, Nikki leads Meggie upstairs to find some clothes.

Initially ignoring Kevin, Chloe's half way out the door when she changes her mind (on going to see Chance). Plan B - she leaves a message (needing him to come dislodge Delia's toy from the toilet before Kevin comes home). See? He'll be here any minute - for some alone time. So - Kevin better leave.

Now dressed, Heather guesses the beep on Chance's phone is Chloe. No harm no foul - things happen. Chance doubts Chloe will see it that way. How will she know? Chance doesn't keep secrets from her. Rogan then arrives to blast them (for the jailhouse search) - are you guys our of your freakin' minds?

Called away, Paul tells Chris and Nina to make themselves at home. The two old friends hug and laugh. <sarcasm>So - what's new?</sarcasm> Chris' visit was sudden - so was Nina and Paul's relationship. Are you OK with this? Nina sounds hopeful.

Chris loves both Paul and Nina - if they're happy, she's happy for them. Nina's thrilled - and wait til she gets a load of L'il Phillip. Chris knows all about Chance (from his father). Both are happy that Phillip's happy (in Australia) - but Nina can only hope that something blows Chance's engagement to hell.

Heather and Chance aren't impressed by Rogan's rant. He has more experience than the 'hot shot' Chance - and now they both have target's on their back. Listen to him - or they'll both end up dead. After Rogan slams out, Heather and Chance are left to wonder if he's the one who tipped off the inmates. What if HE's one of the dirty cops!

Kevin's not going anywhere - Chance might not even come over. He DOES have job(s) to do (Heather being one of them). Kevin then gets a call from Jana - who needs his help urgently (leaving Chloe to wait in her black satin robe). And when Chance shows up, Chloe's mauling him so much that she doesn't notice he's not responding.

On the CL's patio, Victor thanks Paul for coming - and hoping they can get over the whole Patty thing, he wants Paul to investigate Meggie McClean. Paul clearly doesn't approve - either Victor has a woman in danger, or a con, staying with Nikki. Yeah dumbass, that's why Victor called Paul - is he gonna help or what?

The hostess with the mostest has outfitted Meggie - and now it's time for Nikki's rules. #1 - Victor is off limits. Ya got that?

Paul doesn't sound convinced that Victor's #1 priority is Nikki - guessing he didn't bother to ask if this strange woman could stay at the ranch. Paul knew (before he almost married Nikki) that she'd always put Victor first (and that Victor likes it that way - to hell with everyone else). Victor realizes that Paul's too angry to do the job - sorry to have wasted your time. But wait - Paul will - for Nikki - NOT for Victor. Whatever the reason, Victor wants him to start now - have a nice day.

Nikki's grateful to Meggie - and will happily provide clothes and shelter - but no more passes at Victor (who will only turn her down). She and Victor worked hard for their good life together - and don't need any complications. Meggie's sorry she mentioned the pass - and swears she doesn't want Nikki's man - she won't take advantage of their help.

Chris explains she's only in GC for a coupla weeks - and while catching up, hears about Chance protecting Heather - and about Patty (and how it's all effecting Paul). Back to Chance, Nina's a worried Mom - praying he'll get through each day.

Chloe leads Chance into Kevin's place. We need to talk, Chance begins - wait - wait - I can't do this, he rolls his eyes - barely able to tolerate Chloe kissing on his neck. Meanwhile, Heather's on the phone - unaware that Rogan's listening in - as she shares her suspicions about the dirty cop with the big ego.

Kevin meets Jana at CL's - wazzup? Jana blurts out that the police came to arrest Ryder (for stealing) - yeah - it could be true. Kevin's pissed - Ryder's out on bail (funded by CL's) - where IS he? Kevin could lose his business! Jana implores Kevin - please help me find him. Kevin will - and hand him over to the police. Kevin demands the cell number and provider (to hack into the server - and trace him via GPS). No - it's NOT that easy - but Kevin won't lose his business because of HIM.

Chloe pouts - Heather's the reason they're not doing naughty things - is he not dying for some sex? Cause Chloe sure is. Chance confesses - I screwed up - I pushed too hard - with the investigation - he's now getting flack. THAT'S why he can't perform. Chloe wonders - will this case ruin us? No - Chance loves Chloe - and in his heart, he knows 'this' is right. Tomorrow will be better. We'll try again.

Nina and Chris continue to giggle and reminisce about the 80s'. Returning, Paul could hear them down the hallway. And yes, it seems just like old times. When Nina decides to leave them to catch up, both stand to say it's not necessary - then are left to share a friendly hug. Chris repeats her mantra - as long as they're both happy ... Paul can't help but feel he crossed the line - but yeah - it's not like they expect a reunion. It's all wonderful, Chris insists.

Heather's still on the phone - no - she has no proof about Rogan - just a hunch. Take him off the case. Remember this conversation, she warns before hanging up. Chance arrives to hear that Owen refuses to remove Rogan from the case. And Chloe? Does Heather have another reason to fear for her life? No - Chance couldn't tell her.

Chris and Paul discuss Patty - Mary - Todd. Then Heather. Chris always knew he'd be a great father. Off she goes to the club. Of course he'll see her again - she didn't come all this way for a drive-by hug. Yes - we're OK - we will always be OK ~hug~ But on either side of Paul's front door, both pause to mope.

Chance is moping too - if he tells Chloe, it'll break her heart. If not, he'll be that jerk who didn't have the guts to come clean. Heather doesn't think it weak to protect his girlfriend. But she's not my girlfriend, Chance reminds - she's my fiance - for now. It's not a case of IF he tells her - it's when. Now Heather reports on her chat with Owen - and how Rogan could have known their plan. Could he have overheard? Cue the dramatic music - he bugged the place? Son of a bitch. Son of a bitch, Rogan echoes as he listens in - knowing he's busted.

Victor returns to the ranch - to hear that Meggie's resting. Nikki's surprised to hear that Paul's been hired to check out her story (then announces she let Meggie know she wasn't sure she could trust her). She won't be here for long, Victor assures - but Nikki however .... (Victor pulls a gigantic boxed diamond ring from his pocket).

Jana returns to the suite to find Ryder rummaging in the drawer for the bracelet (which Jana dangles). You can't run from the police. But Ryder can't go back to jail. He knows it looks bad - but if Jana runs away with him, he'll explain (and prove his innocence to the police). He'll go alone if he must - but needs Jana ~kiss~ OK, Jana agrees - but it has to be now.

At home, Kevin jumps on the laptop - and updates Chloe that Jana hooked up with a crook (and that if he doesn't find the thieving Ryder, he may lose his business). Chloe reports that Chance came - but something's going on with him. Hmmm - what could it be?

In their apartment, Chance and Heather talk out loud - someone knows too many details - let's spilt up and look for the bug. Finding it, Chance gets Heather's attention - and continues to talk as if he hasn't. Claiming he's getting a text, he summons Heather into the hallway. Bastard - he heard us - who knows how long they've been bugged - and they heard us .... when you and I. Yes, Chance shuts her up - but they don't know we found the bug - we gotta keep it that way. Elsewhere, Rogan makes a call - yeah, we gotta get rid of Chancellor.

Coming back for her forgotten cell phone, Nina's surprised to hear Cricket left - it's probably not the greeting she expected. It can't have been easy. But things have been over with Chris for a long time, Paul points out - it's not like she came back to stake a claim. You sure about that? Nina has to ask.

Heading up the club's staircase, Chris is on the phone. I haven't seen her yet - I have to find the right time to tell her she's in danger. I'm here to help.

I want to be with you - for the rest of our lives - will you marry me? Victor holds the ring out to Nikki - as a lurking Meggie watches.

My Thoughts: Why the hell would Kevin agree to help Jana? He shoulda just hung up on her - OR - better yet, have her come to the apartment (Chloe's already scantily clad - surely, she'd play along that she and Kevin are involved - see if jealously is an emotion Jana can feel - cause she seemed QUITE emotional today) .... Oh come ON - are we expected to believe that Victor was able to fit that huge ring box in the front pocket of his skinny jeans? ... LOL @ Victor's reaction when Nikki mentions that he failed to tell her that Meggie hit on him. Oh ho ho - it happens you know, he chuckles (like he's beating women off with a stick every day). How sweet of Nikki to lend Meggie a little black dress (which she likely hasn't worn in a good 10 years) - did she lend her lipstick too? ..... You'd think that a PI would live in a building with SOME sort of security - not a building that just anyone can walk in off the street unannounced. Does his front door even have a peep hole? Why can't he move into Kevin's building (which is reportedly like 'Fort Knox')? ... Meggie fled her home (and country) without even bothering to throw a change of clothes in a backpack? If she's never left Ottawa, why would she have a passport? (now required to travel over the border) .... Yeah Kevin - Jana DID hook up with a 'crook' (but it's certainly not the first time - and how is being with a thief any worse than being with a bank robber/arsonist?) Also odd to hear HIM warning someone not to be pathetic and crazy. You'd think Kevin (who's done his fair share of time in a straight jacket) would be a bit more sensitive when throwing the word 'crazy' around. That said, Chloe IS a tad more than 'loving and attentive' - moving in across the hall - lying about Delia clogging the toilet (sounds pathetic) ...... I don't know who picked a worse hiding place - Ryder or Rogan .... Why does Chloe need Kevin's permission to go see if Chance is home? ... How sad that Chance jumped on the first female who threw herself at him. If he was the prince he's been made out to be - and as deeply in love as he claims - he wouldn't have been tempted by Heather (who's not exactly a seductress). Gotta feel kinda sorry for Chloe on this one - Chance IS every other guy who's ever cheated on her. How hard is it to say 'no thanks'? Victor managed with Meggie (where the chances of him getting caught were slim to none) - and Jack rejected Phyllis (not because they might get caught - but because he doesn't want to let Emily down). Who knew Jack had higher morals than the virginal Chance. ... Wasn't Chance supposed to be one of several assigned to protect Heather? What happened to the other shift? Why ARE Chance and Heather 'stuck together 24/7'? Is Chance getting paid hourly? ... NOW Rogan claims Heather and Chance have targets on their backs? Wasn't that obvious when Chance was almost killed - and when Heather blown up in her car? ... Who has Chris come back to 'help'? Who ELSE could be in danger? Why has she been in such close contact with Phillip (who disappeared for 20 years) - yet not her BFF and ex husband? If Nina and Chris share so many emails, why Nina mention her relationship with Paul? ... If Nina's spending all day in her PJ's - working on her screenplay - why isn't it done yet? ... Duh Chris - of course Nina looks happy - she just had sex with your handsome ex husband ... Could Chance and Heather's 'acting' be any worse? Why would Chance need to take Heather outside for a text message - why wouldn't he just let her read it? ... Chloe 'forgot' how good Chance felt? Good thing he didn't let her get any closer - she'd be sure to smell the Heather on her 'hot shot' (as neither bother to use the apartment's shower). Chloe almost whines for sex - knowing it's been as long for Chance as it has been for her (NOT) .... Nice choice of words Chance - it's bad enough that he tells Chloe he 'screwed up' - but does Chloe need to hear that he 'pushed too hard'?
