At CL's, Abby doesn't feel sorry at all (that Ashley's moved into her Dad's house - with her big brother). She has no 'remorse' - because Ashley refuses to release the trust fund. Ashley maintains that Abby's not responsible enough to access the money. Abby has a plan - she WILL gain control.

As lightening lights up the sky outside the Abbott mansion, Victor wants to know why Jack's involved himself in Abby's trust fund dispute - and picking up papers from the coffee table, accuses him of using Abby, the same way he did Colleen (against him).

En route to the cabin, Phyllis is surprised to run into Deacon (who gripes about stopping to help the woman who put him in prison). Paroled a coupla weeks ago, he has community service to complete before he returns to California. Want help or not? No - Phyllis can handle it herself.

Sharon shrieks in horror (when finding Adam at the cabin's door). I just wanna talk, he claims.

Kevin whines to Mike on the phone - about being able to find Ryder (which will mean the loss of his business). Chloe comes in from the storm - asking to move back in (because Chance slept with Heather). Her plan to make him jealous blew up in her face. Perhaps she'll take a vow of celibacy. Happy Birthday, Kevin hands over keys to his place.

On the patio, Paul updates Chris - the canine's unit and search for Patty has been called off (due to the storm). Receiving a call, Chris reports another attempt on Heather's life (which sends both running out).

At Heather's apartment, Chance blames Meeks (who's not there) for letting her slip out - and when Malloy returns, Chance pounces on HIM - how could you leave Heather like that!?

Heather referees the boys - but makes it clear she's grateful Chance is there. Don't let the door hit you on your way out, Malloy growls at the badgeless Chance - then rants at Heather for ditching her bodyguard. As Heather stammers that she was suffocating, Chance jumps in to defend 'the victim' (throwing it in that Malloy left to hit on his fiance). I left her with my sergeant - doesn't get any safer than that, Malloy snaps back. A knock at the door interrupts - surprise - it's Paul and Chris. Keep Heather away from this guy, Chance urges Paul.

Sure you don't need any help? a soaked Deacon claims he's not a bad guy. Struggling to get her flat tire off, the equally soaked Phyllis disagrees - you set my son up! Deacon did what he had to do to protect his son - can't she forgive him (like Amber did)? When Phyllis manages to cut herself, Deacon rushes over to help.

As Sharon lifts Faith from the bassinet, Adam comes in to claim he doesn't love Skye - SHE has his heart. Sharon cares not - stay away from my family. Adam's sure she cares about him. Leave me alone! Sharon feels 'tricked' - the entire marriage was a lie. Adam's not buyin' it - it was you and me against the world. Shrugging off Adam's touch, Sharon opens the door - go! Oh look - it's Nick - who marches in to glare at Adam.

Jack was merely helping Abby look into her finances - nothing illegal or immoral 'bout that. Not HIS fault Victor can't control his own daughter. Abby won't bend to Daddy's will (the way his other kids do) - must be the Abbott in her. What kind of father manipulates his own kids - for his own sick amusement - the way he pitted Adam against his siblings. And when Ashley appears to wonder what's going on, Victor claims that Jack's exploiting Abby, the way he did Colleen.

Paul plays along - he's trying to get Malloy off the case. And when Chance and Malloy's spat gets physical, Paul jumps in - Malloy should be focusing on protecting Heather - and Chance needs to GO! Fine - Chance warns Heather not to run off again - see you later. After Chance leaves, Chris glares at Malloy - how could you let this happen? In the hallway, Chance bumps into Chloe - while she was busy trying to make him jealous, Heather almost got killed.

Jack won't discuss this with Ashley - in front of Victor (who warns that Abby's off limits - then asks Ashley to meet him at CL's in a half hour). That leaves Jack to defend his actions regarding Abby (who needs an adult she can trust to guide her). He prevented Abby from doing something rash - like selling her house. He's merely providing financial advice. No more! Ashley insists Jack stop advising Abby.

You can't seem to stay away from her, Adam sneers - and denies he's ever hurt Sharon (or Faith). Sharon doesn't want to see - or speak to Adam. She'll get a restraining order, Nick adds. In parting, Adam reminds that he alone encouraged Sharon to be her true self (something Nick never did). He'll never give up on 'us' - ever. After slamming the door behind the 'psycho', Nick orders Sharon to pack up and go to the ranch. No! - Sharon's staying at the cabin.

In the driver's seat, Phyllis whines to her passenger - no AC, and my hands still bleeding - wahhh. No first aid kit either? Deacon removes his shirt - to wrap it around her hand. Ignoring Phyllis' request to 'go now', Deacon hops out to fix the tire.

Sharon stubbornly refuses to leave the cabin - and balks at the idea of taking Nick's gun. Patty's on the loose too - take the gun, Nick finally gets Sharon to agree.

Hanging up the phone, Jack reports that Patty's fallen off the face of the earth. Ashley warns him to stop manipulating/helping Abby (who's too smart for her own good). As Ashley leaves to meet Victor, Jack gets on the phone immediately (to summon Abby back). Leaving to meet Jack, Abby's stalled by Victor (who warns her off Jack - and stop rebelling). Not everyone's afraid of you, Abby hisses in parting.

Behind the counter, Kevin calls to leave a message for Chloe (he's leaving work early so they can watch a movie - or get drunk and throw darts at Heather's door) - hope you feel better ~click~

Letting Chance into Kevin's place, Chloe's sorry if something happened to Heather - but it's not HER fault. Chance does blame her - and himself - but why did she call him over to Jimmy's? To watch her kiss Malloy? Yeah - Chloe wanted HIM to have the same 'imprinted' visions SHE has. Chance has never known her to be scheming and manipulative. Yeah well - it's the real Chloe - and now, they're 'even'.

Back at Heather's, Paul continues his lecture (on using Heather as bait). Malloy left Heather with his superior - cops are covering the building. Who knew she'd take off on her own? Dudley Do Right screwed it up. They CAN keep Heather safe - IF Chance stays away. HE'S a huge problem.

Chance accepts part of the blame - but why throw herself at the despicable Malloy? He's 'sketchy'? Chloe always liked bad guys. Chance was her first - and last - Boy Scout. Maybe she likes Malloy - he sure didn't have a problem kissing her back. Chance admits he's hurt - but this is no game - stay away from Malloy. Chloe doesn't need a bodyguard - she can take care of herself. Fine, Chance says before marching out.

At CL's, Victor relays Abby's determination to access her trust fund. Ashley now suggests a compromise - give Abby some money (IF she stops acting out).

Arriving at Jack's, Abby assumes their 'deal' is off (and is sorry she won't be able to help Jack with whatever it is he wanted). But no - Jack's still in (if she can keep it a secret). Abby's delighted (and very, very good at keeping secrets).

Deacon informs Phyllis that her spare tire's flat. He'll go home to call for help. No - Phyllis doesn't want to go with him. Keep pressure on that cut, Deacon instructs before leaving. Seconds later, along comes Nick - what are you doing out here? he jogs over to ask.

Kevin returns home - get my message? Nope - Chloe was too busy fighting with Chance. Confiding her plan, Chloe adds that someone tried to kill Heather (and Chance, the cheater, is blaming her). If Kevin was Chance, he'd wanna beat up Malloy.

In the pouring rain, Chance and Malloy have a shouting match. You're in over your head, rookie - that's why they called ME in. Chance WILL expose him as a dirty cop ~shove~ The parking lot's now an octagon - as the cops exchange some police brutality.

Jumping into the passenger seat, Nick guesses she was on her way to the cabin. Does it matter? Aren't they 'finished'? Phyllis thought he might have the decency to wait until their divorced. Nick has no knowledge of 'the settlement offer - Victor had no right (and Nick will speak to him about it). You're just like him, Phyllis claims - so arrogant and entitled. He sure didn't consider their marriage when getting Sharon pregnant. Phyllis did EVERYTHING for her Prince Charming- she was moral, sensitive, learned to cook (which she hates). It was a dream - Nick's NOT Prince Charming - and she's no Snow White. This seems to surprise Nick - why didn't Phyllis say something. She did - he just didn't listen (too busy chasing after Sharon). Now weepy, Phyllis doesn't want his help - he can't 'fix it' - even if he tried.

Back at the cabin, Sharon sits with Faith - the storm and Daddy's talk of Patty etc has made her all jumpy. As Sharon comforts her daughter, Adam's peering through the back patio window.

Entering the CL's patio, Jack coaches Abby (who spots her parents) - no talk of their alliance. Joining her parents, Abby obediently sits. Victor feels he's been too stringent. She can have SOME of her trust (but must behave - and no more public nudity). Abby's not impressed by the check - no thanks - she wants (and will get) ALL her money. As Abby clip clops off to the counter, she makes eye contact with Jack (in the patio doorway).

As Chloe's about to go to bed, Kevin comes out with a candle topped cupcake - and a lame (but amusing) rap version of Happy Birthday. That was amazing slash dreadful, Chloe chuckles - then blows out her candle (hoping it's OK to wish bodily harm).

Back at Heather's, Chris reports there's no leads - the car's plate was stolen. Paul and Heather know she's doing all she can. Chris is glad she's there (so's Paul). After Chris leaves Paul to spend the night with Heather, they refer to her as 'good people'.

Outside, in the parking lot, Chris breaks up the fight. Go home - you're off this case! Chris shouts. This isn't over! Chance points (then walks off). What are you doing? Fighting with your brother!? Chris bellows. They may share DNA, but that jackass is NOT Malloy's brother!

Deacon returns to hop into the passenger seat - it'll take a while - the roads are a mess. Spotting headlights, Phyllis puts the window half way up and locks the door. Kiss me. Nick jogs over - Phyllis! He punches the car when Phyllis ignores him. Once Nick's stormed off, Phyllis shoves the confused Deacon away - get out - go! Deacon's met some insane women - but SHE takes the prize.

Giving up on the book she's reading, Sharon tip toes around to investigate the noises she hears - is someone there? Gun in hand, she cautiously walks to the front door - answer me or I'll shoot. As the front door opens, Sharon fires a shot. Oh God! Adam! I know you still love me, Adam (gripping his bleeding shoulder) collapses in her arms. Somebody help! Oh God - what have I done!? Sharon wails.

Next: At GCM, Lily frets to Cane - I want them to grow - with their Dad too - but if you're gonna have to leave... He might not have to, Malcolm says (Sophia behind him) ... You're desecrating my father's grave for some cheap publicity stunt! Lauren shouts at Jill... Also at GCM, You and Nick were the only one's there - what did you do to my husband!? Skye shouts at Sharon

My Thoughts: Duh Adam - which part of who's there? Answer me or I'll shoot' did you not understand? But I guess he got what he wanted - proof that Sharon still cares for him (and the Abbott's have yet more stains on the cabin floor to mop up) .... Oh good - there IS such a thing as a restraining order in GC (though no one seems to feel the need to initiate one against Adam). Why didn't Sharon employ a bodyguard? .. Actually Kevin - I don't think you COULD make a living selling pencils on the corner - maybe chocolate - but not pencils. But why does his future hinge on CL's anyway? Isn't he still the head of CI's IT departmenr? What happened to his Chipmonk enterprise? The motivational speaking? The t-shirts and mugs etc.? ... Never mind the iced tea complete with lemon wedge - why didn't Heather call her father immediately? And who says there was an attempt on Heather's life? Maybe the guy just wanted to kidnap her? If arrested, the mystery assailant wouldn't be charged with attempted murder .... Victor's a fine one to accuse of using and manipulating anyone (as he used and manipulated Patty - even paying for her plastic surgery) ... Chance has never known Chloe to be manipulative or scheming? Did he not hear about her plot to marry Cane? ... Chance and Malloy's fisticuff's were actually well done (for once) - but where's a cop when you need one? (if the apartment building's 'covered' - by cops - why didn't anyone rush over to stop the fight? Why didn't anyone see Heather leaving? Shouldn't there be a cop posted outside the apartment and all exits?) NOW - Chloe comments on 'all the cops downstairs'? ... Must be real tattoos on Malloy's belly (as they didn't wash off in the pouring rain) ... What on earth would make Phyllis think that Nick would have the 'decency' to wait until they were divorced (to go see Sharon). A - he could be seeing his daughter - and B - it's not like Nick waited until he was divorced from Sharon (when he slept with Phyllis). THEY were indecent enough to make out on Newman property - right under Sharon's nose - to eat a family dinner Sharon prepared. Bottom line - Phyllis (arguably) deserves some amount of sympathy - but not decency ..... Oh poor Ashley - if she doesn't wanna live in her Daddy's home - with her big brother, what's stopping her from buying a home of her own? It's not like she can't afford it ... Nick has a gun? Hard to believe he's a licensed gun owner (you'd think his various brushes with the law would prevent him from carrying firearms) ... What ARE the odds of Phyllis running into Deacon - on her way to the 'remote' Abbott cabin? And really - Phyllis' car has no AC - and her spare tire's flat? Puh-lease.
