Welcome one and all to GC's hottest (or trendiest? Hippest?) new nightclub - Glowworm blends old world glamour. blah blah blah .... Jeff only knows that Glo's 'the hostess with the mostest'. Alone with her Loverman, Glo knows tonight's opening's gonna be perfect (except for the sound of shattering glass in the kitchen).

Seated at the club, Sharon's fretting about the hospital not giving her any info on Adam - and the possibility of being sent to prison. Getting a call from the DA, Mike updates that no charges will be laid (due to Adam's statement). Oh look - here's the newlywed Newman's now (to invoke a four way stare-off).

Mornin' Pumpkin, Chloe updates that they chatted until Kevin passed out (on the sofa - after drinking wine). Despite Kevin's disapproval, she's off to Chance's IA hearing (sure, he's a cheater - but he needs all the support he can get). As Kevin walks Chloe to the door, they find Jana (cue the awkward silence).

At the mausoleum, Nina's more nervous than Chance. Not allowed to attend the closed hearing, Nina will wait outside (knowing Chance will 'do the right thing') - like put a cold steak on that black eye.

Meanwhile, Chris is with Heather and a bruised Detective Malloy. Heather confirms that Chance still thinks he's being set up by the dirty cops (not THEM). Hopefully he's kept off the case (and kept busy working on his defense). They'll bust the case before Chance goes to trial - he'll be exonerated. Nobody's likes what they're putting Chance through - but it's better than him getting himself killed.

As the Newman's approach Mike and Sharon, she stammers that she's glad he's OK. After Skye threatens a civil suit (for shooting her husband), Adam explains that he didn't identify himself because he figured Sharon wouldn't open the door. It's all his fault. When Mike orders him to stay away from Sharon, Adam wonders if there's a man in GC who doesn't try to protect her.

With all now at the courthouse, Chance and Heather have a private word. Is he all right? Sure - dirty cops are trying to discredit him - couldn't be better. No, Malloy's NOT been taken off the case. When Meeks arrives (for what Chance feels is a 'lynching'), the cops file into the office (leaving Chris to wait with Nina). Inside, the IA panel consists of three - the hearing is called to order. Charged with drug possession, Chance has waived his right to representation - and will speak on his own behalf.

You've got some nerve coming here, Chloe growls at Jana. Kevin concludes that Ryder made fools out of both of them. Reminded that she's leaving, Chloe threatens to 'come after' Jana (if she hurts Kevin again). Now inside, Kevin confirms that Chloe's living there (and explains their connection). Jana's truly sorry (and hints that she'd like to come back). But how CAN Jana be sorry? She has no feelings, remember? At least not for me, Kevin snarls - you made THAT clear.

We were both really happy here, Jana reminds. Kevin thought so. Jana's starting to 'feel' again - Ryder became her life line (but knows it should have been Kevin). Why is she there? To explain what it's been like for her. Sometimes she people watches at the bus station - it's so odd not to feel anything - not to laugh (like Kevin used to make her do). Kevin has no desire to stroll down memory lane - he held on for a long time - but her and Ryder? That killed him (and what they had). He's now 'feelinged out'. He loves Jana - but no longer loves her. He's moved on.

Uh oh - Glowworm's bartender won't be able to work tonight (due to a cut - suffered when he managed to shatter half their glasses). Another worker reports no silverware. Glo's stressed out - no plastic! - she's going to Fenmore's! To top it off, the health inspector arrives - there won't BE a grand opening unless they pass inspection.

At the IA's hearing, Meeks talks of it being the second time they've found drugs on Chance - and now, heroin was found in his car. There's no sign it was broken into. Does Chance still insists he has no knowledge? Chance chuckles (then stuns Heather by admitting - the drugs are his).

In the hallway, Nina and Chris chat with Chloe (who's still willing to support Chance - even after 'what he did'). Those drugs aren't his, she's sure. Back inside, Heather stands to claim Heather's lying. I fooled everybody, Chance boasts - it was beautiful. Ordered into custody, Chance stands to be handcuffed.

Having passed the inspection, Jeff's stunned by the bill of sale from Fenmore's. Their money all tied up in investments, Glo's sure the nightclub will be a success. Nothing and nobody will stop us! (except perhaps the chef vomiting in the kitchen).

Skye gives Adam grief for letting Sharon off the hook (instead of using it as leverage with the Newman's). Skye lists all she's done for Adam (who's falling all over himself apologizing to the woman who shot him). What will it take to get over her!?

At the bar, Sharon wonders why Adam married a woman he doesn't love. A wife can't be forced to testify against her husband, Mike reminds. But why are they living in GC? He's a cat playing with a mouse (except Victor's a cobra). Sharon may not be charged - but with Adam in GC - she knows it's NOT 'over'.

Jeff reports the chef's suffering from food poisoning (he and another bartender ate sushi for lunch - and won't be able to work). And now? Water 'pouring' out of the bathroom. Grab and apron, Jeff instructs 'buttercup' - it's crunch time.

Kevin gives Jana a box containing the rest of her stuff. He can't blame everything on the aneurysm (as Jana's doing). Recalling their disastrous dinner (the night she was kidnapped), he thinks it was meant to be. Ready to leave, Jana declines money - but could he help retrieve her car from the GCAC? Kevin won't let her stay in her car (so hands over an envelope of money). I'll pay you back, Jana vows (then leaves with the cash and her box). If you ever want to talk .... Kevin doesn't think so. On either side of the door, both seem to have second thoughts. But by the time Kevin opens his front door, Jana's finally left.

Allowed a moment alone with Chance, Heather asks what the hell he's doing. He's being accountable. Yeah right, she scoffs - bull. What does he hope to accomplish from the inside. A smirk tugging at his lips, Chance is just paying for his crimes, ma'am.

Needless to say, Nina (Chris and Chloe) are stunned to see Chance lead out in handcuffs. Cowboy confessed, Malloy announces (which convinces none of his supporters - who know what happens to a cop in jail). Aside, Chance asks Nina to trust him - keep it between us - my life depends on it ~hug~

Chance? Dealing drugs? Kevin's astounded - but can certainly relate to being 'so wrong' about someone. He then corrects Chloe's assumption that she's moving back in. Chloe's sorry - but happy she doesn't have to leave. Kevin encourages Chloe to accompany him to the opening of Glowworm - misery loves company - say Yes.

Plunger in hand, Jeff's fixed the plumbing (thanks to double food poisoning). Cleaning tables, Glo whines about her ruined manicure. Jeff thinks a bad dress rehearsal = a great opening night (and finally manages to get a small chuckle from his weepy ex wife).

At the bar, Mike talks Sharon into coming to Glowworm (to see Glo's Jackie Onassis impression). It'll be FUN - amongst friends. Nothing bad can happen, they clink glasses.

In the suite, Skye tells Adam about the club opening she's attending - to promote their hedge fund to the high rollers - the creme de la creme of GC. Adam insists on going. Not only MIGHT he bump into people he knows - he's counting on it.

As Nina squawks at Philip on the phone (of COURSE the heroin wasn't his!), Malloy's complaining that Chance screwed them royally. Chris didn't see THIS coming. So - what now? Heather knows how dangerous jail would be for Chance. Malloy thinks it brilliant - instead of being on ice, Chance is in the thick of the investigation. Locked in his cell, Chance smiles like a mischievous boy.

In the shortest dress ever, Chloe and the well dressed Kevin head off to the opening - in a cab (so they can both drink). He won't mention the name Jana - Jana who? The Jana who's lurking in the hallway (then following them)

In sequins, gold lame and feathers, Glo warmly welcomes her first guests - the newlywed Newman's (who she fawns over). Taking their credit card (to run a tab), Glo orders the bartender to take very good care of the Newman's. Make sure the card's good, she hisses at Jeff (behind the bar) - and send over a bottle. Two members of the press arrive - hoping to get a photo of Abby taking her clothes off. Glo insists on being included in photos of anyone famous (then boasts that their first guest is her good friend, Victor Newman .... JR). Arriving alone, Mike's smile fades when he spots Adam. Enter Sharon - who immediately spots the only other guests. With James Bond-ish music playing for effect, Glo continues her repertoire with the press - Sharon Newman - ex wife of the most hated man in GC. Yes, she just shot him. Tonight will be an unforgettable evening, Glo predicts (with glee).

Next: At Glowworm, Kevin and Chloe are clowning around at a table - when Jana arrives to offer a shy 'hello' .... You're gonna lose your monopoly on the Japanese market - the real question is how much damage it's gonna cause your company ... Smiling at her guests, Glo hisses at Jill - do a slam piece on me and I'll gladly rip your face off.

My Thoughts: Duh Sharon - why WOULD the hospital give you any info on Adam's condition? You're no longer considered 'family' (but why does she even care? It was never a life threatening injury - the medics shoulda been able to tell her that when first examining him) ..... I LOVE Glowworm. Sure it's a Glo-rified version of Denny's (complete with pleather back to back booths) but Gloria's definitely in her element (as the grand dame of tacky glamour). It's definitely a step up from the boring Indigo - but do they serve breakfast? Note how the brass bar (at the bar) wiggles when Glo holds onto (then quickly releases) it ... Two chef's having food poisoning is 'rough on the plumbing'? They were using the customer's bathrooms? There's no private facilities for the staff? Did Jeff wash his hands - or did he drop the plunger and head behind the bar? ..... If this is a 'grand opening', shouldn't there have been a line up outside the door? Made to wait (by a burly, arms-folded bouncer) behind a velvet rope? Not guests straggling in solo or in pairs? .... If Glo wants a hip - trendy - or hot club, why is she playing music from old James Bond/Austin Powers movies? .... Who knew that in addition to haute couture, Fenmore's also stocks n sells mass quantities of eating utensils ... Lauren couldn't ditch her meeting to be on time for her mother in law's big event? ... Why would Skye feel the need to seek out the 'high rollers' in GC? Weren't the phones ringing off the hooks just the other day? If the fund's available to investors around the world, why focus on the small town of GC? Why not attract investors in a town NOT comprised of people who hate them? ... Skye shoulda worn the faux snake print dress she originally picked - the lavendar one she wore is MOST unflattering ... Chloe's dress looks like it came out of Delia's closet .... I can't recall what Sharon was wearing (so it can't be too exciting) .... Bravo Chance - you're behind bars - safe from those dirty cops (now, about those inmates ...) .... If Chris 'hates' setting Chance set up, why couldn't she come up with a better plan? Can't they take a page from Daddy's book (or Adam's - or Skye's) - and fake his own death? Seems pretty easy to do. Tell him the truth - then make him hide til the other cops figure it all out .... 'Email a copy to my office' Mike instructs the DA (like he actually HAS an office)
