Don't be stupid - it's your ass on the line. Never the less, Adam won't hear of Vance cross examining Sharon (who waits nervously on the stand). No - Sharon's history will NOT be brought up. Obediently, Vance has no questions (and Sharon's off the hook). In the gallery, Nick and a puzzled Victor whisper - if Adam thinks this will ingratiate himself to Sharon, he's fooling himself (though Nick's not convinced). The Abbott's aren't impressed either - Sharon may have gotten off easy today - but she'll be the only one. In the hallway, Ashley tries to get rid of the supportive Tucker - before she's called in to testify.

At the club, Vikki wraps up a meeting (then greets Jill coolly). She's handling business while Nick and Victor are in court (and is surprised to hear Billy fired her from RS). Why? Because SHE'S the one who gave Tucker the photo of the gun Vikki used to bribe the Japanese officials.

Jill doesn't believe that Vikki has 'no clue' what she's talking about - but goes on to explain how Billy tried to protect her (and how she snooped through his laptop). Billy's furious with her (but Jill's sure it'll all blow over - like it always does with Vikki and her father). And WHY is Jill telling Vikki all this? So she won't blame Billy for HER sin.

In the court's hallway, Victor chats with Sharon. He doesn't care to hear why Adam's lawyer didn't cross examine her - Adam's off to prison. Well, Sharon's not in the mood to celebrate (with all the memories dredged up). What she had with Adam wasn't real - but she chose not to see it. Victor doesn't like testifying against his son - but remember all he's done. You threw down the gauntlet - don't EVER forget how evil Adam is.

On the stand, Ashley tells her tale - Adam made her think the house was haunted - and herself and others think that she was going insane. The comes the stormy night she fell down the stairs (shocked by the sight of Adam posing as Sabrina) - losing her baby. Not even bothering to stand, Vance talks of Ashley's prior instability - being institutionalized after an abortion (and again after her child died - what was his name?). Robert, Ashley gulps. Owen's objection overruled, Vance talks of Ashley's numerous commitments to psych facilities - and the hysterical pregnancy. He ends with a quote (Ashley's glowing words for her trusted friend Adam). Is there any evidence to Ashley's testimony? No. In tears, Ashley's released - but before she can get to Tucker, she's swarmed by family.

In the hallway, Ashley's family praise her for a job well done. I want to kill Vance Abrams, Abby comes in seething (with Victor). Jack doesn't care who his lawyer is, Adam's not getting away with it this time. Assured that Abby will be fine left to testify, Ashley leaves with Traci (worried what Tucker thought of her testimony).

In the hallway, Billy comments that Ash got skewered - while Sharon walked away without a scratch (guess that's the upside of having a psycho in love with you). As he saunters off, Sharon's left to mull that one over.

Back in the courtroom, Owen admits to Nick that he's worried about Ashley's testimony. After he leaves, Jack strolls in. Nick asks how Ashley is - and can you believe the way Adam's still chasing Sharon? Jack's sure that Sharon will never forgive him - there's nothing going on between them - let it go. Meanwhile, Vance wishes he could have attacked Sharon the way he did Ashley. Even if Adam goes to trial, he won't let that happen.

While Vikki's at RS - waiting for Billy to return, Jill marches into Tucker's (demanding he keep up his end of their deal). Where's this hotshot investigator!? Jill's son hates her - and Tucker better not screw her over.

Tucker's been busy - he'll make the call right now. Jill FENMORE will be contacting you - help her with whatever she needs - on my dime. When Ashley arrives, Jill's impressed she survived Vance Abrams - for the record, she hopes Adam rots in hell for what he did to her. Now alone, a teary Ashley knows why he left the courtroom (and didn't want him to hear that she's a wacko). She knows Tucker must have done a background check before hiring her - but worries how 'the gory details' will reflect on Jabot (and is willing to step down before Adam goes to trial).

On the stand, Abby's not there for 'self promotion' (as Vance unfolds a poster of 'Ms Naked Heiress' riding her horse into the club). Next, Vance attacks Jack (who conspired with Adam - then sold him down the river) ... Victor's up next (and accused of denying Ashley the care he needed - and being a control freak of a father)... Nick fares no better - he hated his half brother from the start ... Owen's objection is countered - as Vance sees NO objective witnesses. Back in the gallery, Victor hisses to Abby (Adam found a lawyer as contemptible as he is).

Owen wraps it up - the Judge has heard from reliable witnesses - pillars of the community - the case against Adam is solid. Adam should go to trial. Vance has to agree - Hightower deserves justice (but THIS case is a travesty - charges with no physical evidence - every witness hates his client - Adam is the victim here). The Judge will issue her decision within the next few days. Heading out, Jack asks Billy to come by later (to support Ashley). As team Adam seem victorious, Victor accosts Adam - smoke screens won't hide what you've done, son.

In the hallway, Nick wants to know why Vance didn't attack Sharon - did she promise him something? Absolutely not - how could Nick think so little of her? She told the truth! What IS Nick's problem!?

At the Abbott mansion, Ashley's nowhere to be found. Traci's sure she's just working things out (while Abby wishes she could do something to make her mother feel better).

Tucker ends a call with Sophia - then returns to the glum Ashley. He doesn't want to hear another word about her stepping down. Her past is no secret. She's an excellent CEO. Thanks boss, Ashley smiles. And as a friend, nothing Tucker heard today changes how he feels about Ashley. Actually, he respects her more - he's impressed that she's overcome such obstacles. Why'd he leave? To give her space. Both are glad she came over.

Billy's surprised to find Vikki at RS (with unfinished business to discuss). Curious about what happened in court, Vikki does NOT approve of Billy publishing it to sell his 'little' magazines,. But told to exit out the 'little door', Vikki softens - she's there to say she knows Billy was telling the truth - and that Jill was behind it). Done apologizing, Vikki scolds him for not securing his laptop. Billy has a bone to pick too - Vikki not believing that he loves and would never hurt her.

Back in the courthouse, Vance thinks it 50/50 (that Adam will go to trial). But if he coulda cross examined the star witness ... Enough - Adam has no regrets. On the other side of the room, Owen tells Victor and Jack that this is just a small taste of what's to come (then in the hallway find Nick continuing to grill Sharon). Victor thinks Nick's accusations are ludicrous. Jack again tells him to knock it off. Nick still doesn't get it - and what will the media say? Don't go looking for trouble, Victor warns.

On the CL's patio, Jill Fenmore's on the phone with her new PI (who has NO idea what she's been through to get to him). Back at RS, Vikki never knows if Billy's kidding - or serious. He meant every word. Vikki should probably go. Probably, Billy agrees (then watches Vikki march onto the elevator).

Abby's head in her lap, Traci offers some advice. No - don't give up fighting for her inheritance - but don't forget to show her parents that she still loves them.

Ashley's snuggling on a couch too, Tucker's - marveling at how her mood's improved. Tucker thinks her courageous for coming tonight - and is pleased she's feeling like her old self again ~kiss~

Nick, Jack and Victor are concerned - what if Adam walks? Still inside, Skye issues threats - if Adam goes to prison, she and the money are gone. Adam didn't have a choice - not one he could live with. Sharon comes in - yes you did. Thanking Adam for keeping his word, Sharon clips clops out (leaving Adam to stare and salivate - while Skye glares at HIM).

Next: Things would be so different if Chance's brother hadn't been kidnapped, Nina sobs to Paul (who looks near tears too) ... Chris and Malloy are on the patio - You're so good at being a jerk, Chris says - I almost believe you're as heartless as you sound ... At the club, Neil has a dire warning for Tucker and Sophia - if you're serious about this undertaking, be prepared for all out war.

My Thoughts: Racing into RS, Billy requests a soda or a sandwhich - he 'really doesn't care'. Huh? Well - are you thristy or hungry dumbass? Can't afford a sandwich AND soda? ... Yeah Nick - how COULD you think so little of Sharon!? That she'd promise sexual favours to Adam (just because she slept with two sets of brothers and a brother in law?) ... Abby admits she doesn't know anything about Adam - except that he's a 'perv'? Why is he a perv? He's not running around naked - on livestock (in public and in front of family) - or addicted to online porn (like her boyfriend was) - there's no sex tapes of Adam online. Is Adam a perv because of his romp with Rafe? (cause Abby didn't seem to be homophobic when she hired Rafe to sue her parents). Adam's many things - but not really a perv (plus, Abby's the last one to be calling anyone a 'perv') .... Still absolutely NO media covering Adam's preliminary trial - regardless of the Naked Heiress' presence - along with the hotshot Vance Abrams (who you'd think would be encouraging media coverage - as the photo of Adam and Sharon wasn't long hitting the papers). Never mind the assorted millionaires and billionaires scattered around (including arch enemies Victor and Jack). Yet - only RS will offer coverage of the proceedings. Billy has to run to RS to get it down while it's still fresh? Why didn't he have a staff member there taking notes (or better yet, take his own notes - or better still, Twitter it like Jill did) ... WHY isn't there any physical evidence to corroborate Ashley's testimony? Wasn't the infamous 'purple cloth' entered as exhibit A? What about Adam's laptop? (with the recording of Sabrina's voice - along with the software used to monitor all the surveillance equipment Adam hid all over the ranch)? What about photos of the damaged fender of the car Ashley drove that night (proving at least that she DID hit something) The scrapbook she claims Adam made? And isn't anyone who saw Ashley raise the baby she never had - like doctor's, babysitter's - aren't THEY witnesses? How could Adam possibly avoid going to jail for kidnapping? Or skipping the country on bail? Since he's on parole for the book fraud, isn't skipping off to Brazil enough to warrant a trial? ...What about the ashes missing from the funeral home (that Adam stole)? Billy saw him there - (the funeral director could vouch for them being missing) ... Why yes - how on earth could anyone know about Ashley's son Robert (aka a yellow blankie) - she only showed up at a crowded dinner party with it/him) ... Is it really public record that Ashley had an abortion? ... Vance points out that there's no evidence to support Ashley's testimony (but since there's no evidence that Jack's a criminal, why didn't Owen object to Vance describing him as such?) .... Owen IS doing a crappy job. If his witnessed list are biased, why not bring in the staff? Perhaps Estella - who Adam framed? Where's Rafe? Wouldn't he be deemed credible? (it's not like his sexual orientation's any big secret now - and he can't be fired, since he's in private practice. So, why not testify?) .. Why hasn't Owen arranged for some doctors to explain hysterical pregnancy - or Olivia (another credible witness). Owen didn't even try to damage the repair (by listing Ashley's accomplishments) ... Why would Vikki think Jill should be at court - supporting Billy - isn't Billy just there supporting Ashley? ... Given that her act of bribery could get her thrown in jail (and damage NE) it's a bit odd that Vikki isn't even mildly annoyed at her. And Vikki doesn't even question how Jill put it all together? She saw this antique gun online - worth 750K - and what - used her spidey senses? Why made her assume bribery - instead of assuming that Billy, a journalist, is researching a story? Or looking for a cool birthday gift for Jack? .. Ashley's done an 'excellent job' as CEO? Without ever going to the office? Guess she's a workaholic like her brother Jack.
