Today's Spoiler

Lily, a kerchief on her head, is pleased to announce that her hair's now long enough to get extensions. That and plans for the twin's Christening has the Ashby's smiling. Oh, and not to mention love and family.

At the boutique, Mike only wishes that Neil had resolved these issues long ago - instead of leaving it in the hands of a Judge. The papers are ready (giving Jill 50% of the Fenmore's dynasty). Even if Lauren doesn't sign - and ties it up in court for years, the outcome would be the same (unless Joanna recants her testimony). Whatever Lauren decides, Mike will support her. Logically and financially, Lauren knows she should 'bite the bullet' - but eyeing the photos of her father, grandfather (and herself) - three generations - is clearly not happy about handing over half of her legacy. I don't think I can do it! Meanwhile, Jill's having some new 'executive' photos taken - by Malcolm.

At the mausoleum, Paul informs Nina that her son's adoptive parents are both dead. They bought him on the black market - so kept a low profile (but doted on the boy). Nina does find comfort in hearing he came from loving parents - but where is he now? Paul checked with the high school - but they're closed for the summer.

At CL's, Chloe snags the drink Malloy's ordered - then chases him around for the truth - you're Nina's long lost son.

Chance and Meeks are both outside Heather's door. What are YOU doing here? they both wonder. Before her meeting with Owen, Heather has time for a chat with Chance (who vows to find out who's corrupting the police force). Hearing Malloy took the drugs from Heather's office, Chance isn't surprised - I knew it! He risked his life to get that 'proof'! He's protecting himself - NOT Heather (who asks Chance not to jump to conclusions). Yeah, well, Chance is going to Owen's too - to make him see the truth!

You can't, Heather flashes back to Malloy assuring he'll be at the meeting with Owen - to clear everything up). Heather tosses out excuses - Chance isn't Owen's favourite person - he's too emotional (and has no proof). He'll just make things worse. HOW can things get worse? Chance WON'T get Heather fired - he'll be calm. This was MY case, he whines. Wait here, Heather insists - she'll let him know how it goes. Fine - but if this doesn't go well, they do it Chance's way.

At the mausoleum, Nina worries about there being no records for Aiden Lansing. He could be overseas - or changed his name, Paul reasons. Dead? There's no records of that either (unless he's a John Doe). Don't go there, Paul soothes - as Nina's worry increases.

On the CL's patio, Chloe grills Malloy. So, using an assumed name, he moved to GC, to meet his family - but isn't gonna tell his brother and mother who he is? Malloy's seen enough to make his decision. Not everyone loves Chance (like she does) - in fact some of us think he's a jerk. Yeah, but what about Nina? Sure, she'd be a lousy mother in law - but she IS a good mother (who Malloy defends when Chloe makes snide remarks). Malloy doesn't NEED a Mom. But didn't Nina's book (A Cry In The Dark) break his heart (like it did hers)? It's Malloy's decision - HIS life - stay OUT of it!

Lauren doesn't need to think it over - Mike's right. There's no sense dragging it out. Lauren needs to focus on the people who count on her. Call Jill - let's get it over with.

As Jill's picking out her photo, the Ashby's arrive babbling about the Christening. They're off to Fenmore's to buy Charlie's gown - and Of COURSE Jill can consider them her grandchildren. Speaking of 'family', Jill gets a call - summoning her over to sign the paperwork. I'll be right over!

When Chloe drops her bag of groceries, Chance just so happens to be in the hallway to help out (and notice she's still wearing his engagement ring). Chance leads Chloe into the empty apartment. Where's Heather? Off trying to convince Owen that Malloy's part of the drug ring. Doubting that he's the one who ordered 'the hit', Chloe mentions Delia - the segues into Chance being an only child. Oh, but he has a brother out there. Yeah, somewhere, he replies.

Meanwhile, Nina's still sobbing to Paul. Every year - on her son's birthday, she relives this agony.

Telling Meek's to take a break (from bodyguard duty), Owen's told that Malloy took the drugs from her office - and is trying to trace them to the evidence room. I see, Owen looks less than impressed. Malloy arrives on cue - yes, he took it upon himself to take the drugs. Now we have proof - that Ms Steven's doesn't know what she's doing. Needless to say, Heather's stunned.

Lauren continues to mope about her beloved father - and his legacy. It will live on - through you, Mike ensures. Meanwhile, Malcolm offers to get Jill's photo to her today. As both Jill and the Ashby's are heading to the boutique, Jill ask to meet them (after she meets with Lauren). Aside, Cane reminds that it'll be a tough day for Lauren - don't rub it in. He knows this means for to Jill (than money) - it's about 'family' ~hug~

Still at Heather's apartment, Chloe continues - as a mother she sympathizes with Nina's loss (and again mentions the book). Chance has a brother out there - somewhere. Chance doesn't seem too concerned - it's a cold case. But if he showed up at your door, Chloe persists - wouldn't you go out for a beer? Get to know him?

When Nina worries about being disappointed again, Paul talks of miracles happening. At this point, a miracle's what it'll take, Nina remains pessimistic.

Heather can NOT believe that the drugs weren't traced to the evidence room. yeah - but you're hardly objective, Malloy sneers (as Owen jumps in to scold Heather for taking the drugs without authorization). Malloy's not done yet - Heather and her 'boyfriend' stumbling around in the dark isn't what HE'D call an investigation - they need to be 'reigned in'. Owen must agree - you're fired, he barks.

Heather's incredulous - you can't be serious. Spouting off about insubordination, Owen dismisses Malloy (who Heather then tries to implicate). Owen decides that Heather's not cut out for this line of work (as she can't 'go by the book'). Relieved of her badge and ID, Heather's given an hour to clear out her desk. Meeks is also relieved of his duty - Ms Steven's no longer needs protection. Malloy returns to face the wrath. You SOB, Heather snarls. You got too close, Malloy replies (claiming that he's saved her life). Trust me on this one! Heather's now 'off the hook' (and no longer in danger). Why, she should be thanking Malloy (which she does - with a slap across the face).

On the CL's patio, Malcolm and the Ashby's have a love fest (as they plan the twins future). Recently so scared he'd lose Lily, Malcolm now knows what really matters.

The mood is tense in Lauren's office - as Mike hands both her and Jill a pen - let's proceed.

Once Jill 'officially' owns 50% of the 'family company', she's appreciates the way Lauren's handled it - and hopes the Fenmore sisters can become 'family'. In name only! And yes, that's 'all' Lauren has to say. Have a lovely day, Jill breezes out - cause I intend to. Now alone, Mike coaches the teary eyed Lauren to breathe - stay calm.

Jill meets the Ashby's in the boutique as planned. And though they've already found a gown for Charlie, they'd be honoured if he wore the one Philip did (which Jill just so happened to have gift wrapped and brought along) ~hugs~

As Chance insists he has other priorities (than wondering about his kidnapped brother), Heather returns to the apartment (to pout about Owen firing her). On the sidelines, Chloe watches her fiance consoling Heather. Slipping out unnoticed, Chloe twists her engagement ring off as she hits the hallway.

Still at the mausoleum, Paul gets a text message. A picture (of Nina's son) has been found in an old newspaper. Fax it to the house, Nina demands.

On the CL's patio, Malloy's got something for Meeks (then slides the pouch of white powder across the table). It's the drugs from the jail (which Malloy replaced with street drugs). He figures he's doing Meeks a favour - and expects to be rewarded. Meeks leaves as Chloe arrives (to invite Malloy for lunch). No - he won't be ambushed with Nina - just a bottle of wine. Hey - you might even get lucky.

OK - the picnic tables are all set up. The Christening plans are all taken care of - and the Ashby's couldn't be happier. Let's keep things this perfect alwats ~hug~

Little down, little down, Jill instructs (as she and Malcolm admire the new photo - placed beside the other Fenmore's). What the hell are you doing? Lauren appears (with Mike). Jill's having her photo added to ALL the Fenmore stores. Off to the Christening, Jill grins at the photo - I'll be seeing you (and you'll be seeing me) - leaving Lauren speechless.

Nina and Paul squint at the fuzzy black and white photo faxed over. Not to worry - Paul knows a guy who can enhance it.

Malloy follows Chloe (who talks about a wine tasting). Malloy doesn't usually do blindfolds on the first date - but will make an exception. Outside the apartment, Chloe sneaks a glance at Heather's door (inside, Chance is blaming Malloy for her being fired). Heather confirms it - we lost - they won. Chance won't give up (and WANTS them to 'come after him'). Heather caresses his face - if they come after you ... I'll kill you ~kiss~

Next: You think I'm using you? Chloe asks Malloy (who replies - we're using each other) ... Dressed for the Christening, Mac wonders what Vikki thinks of them living together. I didn't tell her, JT admirs .... Lily and Cane hold the babies (with all gathered around) - Mike quietly informs Cane that he got a call from the Immigration Department.

My thoughts: Who's Owen Pompousass to be telling anyone that they're lousy at their job? What's his conviction rate? How many times has he arrested (and prosecuted) the wrong person? ... Was Heather's weak slap supposed to hurt Malloy? She barely grazed his face. You'd think an ADA would be a bit tougher (and show a bit less cleavage when meeting with her boss) ... Since Heather's out of a job, I assume she's lost her apartment too. Guess it's back to the club (where she'll be Adam's neighbour)... If getting an 'executive' photo taken, couldn't Jill have done something a bit more upscale to her hair? And worn something that didn't look like tapestry drapes you'd find at the mausoleum? ... Charlie's gown 'arrived' just in time. Special order - and now what? Lauren's supposed to just send it back at her own expense? She didn't have anything good enough for L'il Charlie Ashby in stock? Why would Jill wait until the day before the Christening anyway? .... Where do I sign up for stem cell infusions? Lily looks stunning... Jill certainly has some nerve - adding her photo without so much as mentioning it to Lauren. But why aren't the photo's identified? Lauren could always add 'employee of the month' under Jill's ... is Paul billing Nina for all his hard work - or is he doing it pro boner? *snicker*
