Neil arrives at the festively decorated Ashby home - followed by the Godmother (who hasn't met the twins yet). Lily and Jill carry the twins out for introductions (and an explanation of who's wearing who's Christening gown). While Neil gushes over Charlie, Traci reminisces over Matilda (as Devon, with Roxy, takes photos).
On the CL's patio, Malcolm takes a photo of Sophia. She hopes he's not jealous (that Neil's considered the grandpa) - he's part of the family - and after she wins Neil over, SHE will be too.
At the trailer, Vikki's getting ready for the Christening (while Billy's still griping over his I heart Victor tattoo). The plan? JT's bringing Reed to the church - then they'll hang out at the ranch for a bit - then he's off to a sleepover. Yes, she IS done with that place - but doesn't want to upset Reed.
At JT's, the place has been cleaned up for their special visitor. OK - Mac's not a visitor - she's a permanent fixture. When Mac arrives with her bags, Reed tells her not to ring the doorbell - you live here now, he lifts his head from his colouring book to chirp.
Clothes are coming off at Heather's place - until she spots a suspicious car outside. Malloy, Chance grunts - still keeping tabs huh?
Little does he know that Malloy's at Chloe's - for some wine (and commentary on lack of family resemblance between him and Chance). Never mind that, didn't Chloe promise he'd get lucky? Chloe then goes to 'slip into something more comfortable' (giving Malloy time to make a whispered call - I don't have much time - just listen ... )
Across the hall, Chance dressed - and will deal with this right now. Please be careful, Heather pleads (and doesn't agree it's a good idea they stopped). Right now, Chance has to go flush out Malloy.
Meeks is up to his neck in this drug ring, Malloy whispers to Chris (on the phone) - who the hell CAN he trust? Hanging up when Chloe appears - and now it's time for HIM to slip into something more comfortable. A man appears to summon Malloy into the hallway. Telling Chloe he needs to take care of something, they head out after Chance (before he gets into anymore trouble). Hearing the exchange, Heather wastes no time calling Chance (Malloy wasn't tailing you - he was with Chloe).
Neil welcomes Malcolm and Sophia to the Ashby's home (where Malcolm introduces Sophia around). Liv's pleased to meet the next Mrs Winters (though Sophia chuckles that she won't be changing her name). Cane announces he's taking the twins to the church (along with Lily, Devon and Traci). Everyone else is welcome to come along. All eyeball Mike - bad timing - but he got a call from the Immigration Department (who want to see him right away). All smiles turn upside down in a hurry.
Mike's sorry - but now that Lily's in remission, they wanna deport Cane. Yes, they know about the Christening. When Cane tries to send everyone ahead, Jill and Neil decide to face the DOI with him and Lily (despite Mike's advisement that HE handle this - without all this emotion). Disagreeing, Traci and then Lily dump both twins in his arms - paint them a picture of what they're tearing apart.
Back at the trailer, Billy wonders when Vikki plans to update JT (that they're living together) - which she seems in no hurry to do. Likewise, at JT's place, he admits that he hasn't told Vikki yet (though Reed's excited about it).
Chance barges into Chloe's - to claim that Malloy's only there to follow HIM. Get to know him? Chance scoffs - he's using you - and you don't even see it!
Son of a bitch gave me the slip, Malloy barges into Heather's (assuming Chance doubled back there). Get out - Heather's not helping him ever again!
Mac has to wonder if JT's having second thoughts about taking this step. Meanwhile, Vikki claims she's had no time to tell JT. One phone call - rip off the band aid, Billy suggests.
At the church, the Winter's ensemble (sans Lily and Cane) convince the busy Reverend to go ahead with the rehearsal. Devon does some whining about God (and is supported by Roxy). When Neil feels he should have gone with the Ashby's, Sophia puts her foot in her mouth - he'd be 'just as useless' there. Trying to keep the peace, Liv interrupts to ask Sophia about her 'impressive' past. And when Sophia defends Malcolm (against Neil's jabs), he folds his arms - You've know him for how long? Neil WILL go to the meeting after all - bye.
At the Department of Immigration, Mike's somewhat optimistic (thanks to the job Sophia arranged). But - if they want Cane deported, that's it. Lily's understandably upset - no - God is not that cruel (to let it end like this after all they've overcome).
At the church (with the Christening in jeopardy of being postponed, Liv leaves an urgent message for Lily (who's pacing with Cane). Oh why is this happening? Cane's married to an American citizen - and has 'paid' - by cleaning up her vomit (amongst other things). I'll go to Australia, she decides - we can have a farm. Cane would prefer to go anywhere else (McCall has companies all over the world). Neil arrives - the wait was killing him. The twins are fine (as they don't know their world could be about to change). Mike comes out to update - it's one obstacle after another. Not sounding optimistic, Mike goes back 'to rattle a few cages' (leaving Cane to assure Lily that they'll be together no matter what). Neil to offers support too - listing the good things that have happened. Wherever they end up - wherever Dad is, is 'home' to Lily ~hug~
Chance continues to insist that Malloy's using Chloe - and is dangerous. Chloe puts - oh, so it's a safety issue (not that she's drinking wine with a guy she's kissed before). Of course Chance is bothered by that - hell yes - but he's trying to warn her. Ignoring Chance's protests, Chloe answers the door. Malloy - and yes, he's been following Chance - someone has to (cause he's so brilliant at screwing things up). Chance then takes exception when Malloy snaps at Chloe. What do YOU care - his new action's across the hallway. On that note, Chloe sends Chance out (then gripes about having to keep this secret). I AM using you, Malloy admits - we're using each other. Come on - Malloy knew he wasn't gonna get lucky (because Chloe's still hung up on Chance).
Now across the hallway, Chance moans to Heather. Oh why can't Chloe see Malloy for the jerk he is? (not a subject Heather really cares to discuss - Chloe's a 'big girl'). Chance isn't sure this 'thing' between them is real - it came out of nowhere. It snuck up on Heather too (Adam ruined her from opening up to all men - until Chance came along that is).
Time continues to tick by slowly at the Department of Immigration (which Lily hopes is a good sign). As Neil heads off to get some coffee, Lily thinks it worse for Neil (who might be left alone). Cane reiterates what Neil said - we're lucky - it'll be OK ~hug~
Billy tells Vikki she can be happy - AND be a good parent - she doesn't HAVE to choose. He can show her how to be free - find herself - and be there every step of the way. Let's head to the church - Billy knows Vikki will feel better once she sees Reed.
Mac talks of couples who live together without commitment - she needs to know JT's not just trying it on for size. I love you, JT assures. Yes, Mac WILL feel better after he talks to Vikki ~kiss~
As everyone gathers to say a prayer, Devon gets a call from Lily (who, on speakerphone, informs that Mike's been talking with the authorities - and Cane's about to go in). Keep the faith - bring your man home! Sophia shouts support. We're all praying, Traci chimes in. And that's just what they do (while Cane heads in with Mike - leaving a scared Lily in Neil's supportive arms.
Take your pretentious wine and your mind reading act - call it a day, Chloe hands over the bottle. Malloy sets it down - hear me out. He talks of working under cover - reinventing himself - the trade off? No personal life - no roots. He wasn't coming over for sex - he thought lunch/wine/talk would be nice - that's it. Unconvinced, Chloe thought she might have seen the real Malloy for a second. I tried, Malloy frowns sadly - then, tail between his legs, heads out the door Chloe (arms folded) holds open. Now alone, Chloe addresses an envelope to Chance (and puts her wedding ring in it). About to knock on Heather's door, Chloe listens instead. And having heard enough of Heather seducing the willing Chance, Chloe slides the envelope under the door - and mopes back to Kevin's.
In the church foyer, Vikki bends down to greet Reed (while JT scowls at the 'Billy Forever' tattoo she's displaying). Reed then blurts out that Mac's now a 'permanent fixture'. And as Mac and Billy hustle Reed out, Vikki warns JT to expect a call from her lawyer (to revisit custody). Bring it on 'tattoo girl', JT sneers - wear that dress to court. The Judge can read your ass to see how stable you are.
Inside the church, Jill and Traci (twins in their arms) update Billy and Mac that Cane could be on a plane today. The Reverend is about to reschedule as Lily and Cane bounce in - hey guys - he can stay. The somber mood instantly turns festive (as the Ashby's are handed their twins).
Next: Mac tells Billy that if THEY can be friends maybe Vikki and JT can be too. Vikki's pretty stubborn, Billy doesn't seem so sure ... You're so egotistical, Vikki blasts JT - I can't wait to see you fall off your high horse ....What are you doing here - crashing my grandchildren's Christening? an angry Jill confronts Lauren (who smiles smugly). *and if I had to guess, her response will be 'we're family'
My Thoughts: Neil claims he came to the Dept or Justice meeting because 'the wait' was killing him. Is that his nickname for Sophia? Cause that's not nice ... Billy can't find a tattoo artist to finish his ink? He'd rather have Victor's name in a heart than fly to Chicago - or New York? He can't get a marker and draw it in until Snake recovers? There's no reason it couldn't be finished (as it already looks healed) ... I guess the Department of Justice is located right beside the church - so Come ON. Mike couldn't tell the Department of Immigration that he couldn't locate Cane (at least for coupla hours - til the Christening is over with?). But nooo - Cane has to go running over immediately (cause he couldn't possibly be out of town on business - or even at the gym) ... Yes - Cane's SO honoured that a woman who can't even be bothered to come over and see the twins is to be their Godmother. Traci had NO free time between agreeing to be Godmother - and the day of the Christening? She didn't offer to help blow up balloons or sumthin'? ... Odd that none of the other Abbott's (besides Billy) were invited. Didn't Lily used to work for Jabot (and therefore Jack and Ashley)? And since Abby's been aged to almost the same age as Lily, you'd think she'd be invited ... Nice to see Lily with hair - sure doesn't look like she's been battling cancer for the better part of a year ... Love how Neil and Traci bounce the twins up and down - not bothering to think of throwing a towel over their shoulder (to protect their clothing from spit up) ... Shouldn't Vikki's tattoo be covered with gauze still? Has it been 24 hours? And considering both she and Billy are both uber wealthy, they're pretty cheap looking tattoos. Keep your shirt on in public, Vikki instructs Billy (like he'd have any reason to remove his shirt at a Christening - unless a baby spit up on him of course) ... Heather's still in that ... Chance is a real lousy kisser - or Heather has ADD (in addition to her great long distance peripheral vision). Pulling away from Chance, she easily spots Malloy's car in the parking lot - even though the blinds are closed. Note the awkward pose Chance manages as they pull apart - like he and Heather are twins conjoined at the pelvis or sumthin' ... Why would Chloe need to slip into something more comfortable? What she came out in didn't look much more comfy than what she had on before. Usually when a woman 'slips into something more comfortable' she sashays out in something a bit more spectacular ... The front doors in Kevin/Heather's building sure aren't soundproof (though they LOOK like pretty solid wood). ... Sophia couldn't switcher her purse to the other arm before a round on hand shaking? Cane couldn't afford to hire a limo to take them to the church? You'd think grandma Jill might spring for it (since she was just awarded half the Fenmore dynasty) ... And why wasn't Kay and Murphy invited? And if Lily's inviting exes, why was Billy invited - but not Daniel? ... You know you're showing too much cleavage to church WHEN; Your fiance's eyes almost pop out of his head - and he talks of going dancing or to bed).
