Awakening in Deacon's bed, Nikki's sorry - but last night .... Was incredible, Deacon sighs. Nikki thinks it a mistake (substituting him for the drink she wanted; something she can't do anymore).
At the ranch, Diane comes down to join Victor - to comment on the decadent sheets she slept in last night. Noted that she's in the same dress, Diane isn't going back to the carriage house. Kyle's with his Dad. I'm all yours, she purrs.
Vikki arriving at RS with Lucy, Billy introduces the baby to the staff (including the photographer who offers to do a family portrait - and upload the news on the RS site (a suggestion Billy puzzles Vikki by objecting to).
On the patio, Daniel's deep in thoughts of Lucy when joined by Kevin (who wonders if his memory's coming back). Yeah, about that....
At home, Cane feeds the twins - then thanks Lily (now in his lap) for arranging such a romantic evening in Paris. Oh, how lucky Lily and the twins are to have the amazing Cane; who makes them 'whole' (but puzzles Lily when he walks away, uncomfortable with her praise).
Meanwhile, at CL's, Sophia squirms when Tucker questions the numbers in a report - then looks downright nervous when he calls 'James' over to clear it up (especially when he draws a blank look when questioned).
When Sophia jumps in to answer the question Tucker poses, Blake's just fine with her handling it - but Tucker wants to hear it from HIM. Still looking into details, Blake will have to get back to him. What the hell was that? Tucker's left to wonder - alone when Sophia makes a hasty exit.
Still on the patio, Daniel reports his memory's slowly coming back. Assuming Daisy had the baby by now, Daniel wonders what he should do (IF he knew the baby was safe somewhere). What the hell do you remember? Kevin pounces.
In his usual black wife beater, Deacon serves Nikki coffee that's not up to her usual standards. When Nikki claims he's been good for her (in light of her mixed messages), Deacon's happy for any crumbs of time with Nikki (who knows he's not the evil bastard he's rumoured to be). Needing to put a stop to 'this', Nikki's off to visit her sister - and figure out what's going on in her head (and her heart).
Back at the ranch, Diane and Victor joke over blueprints and sketches. Luckily, she even remembers where Victor keeps his extra glasses. What? Cork on a floor!? Victor continues to show how obtuse he is.
Lily, ready to take the twins for a walk, suggests a movie night later (which Cane's happy to agree to). And as she leaves, Sophia stops by - to warn Cane that there's gonna be a 'major beat down' (if they don't soon do something about the situation).
The baby may be Daniel's kid, but she's Kevin's niece - does he really know where she is!? Of course not dumbass. Daniel had a dream is all - the baby was safe with her doting parents. Would he break up the happy family, or walk away? No, Daniel's not psychic - but what if he COULD answer everyone's questions. Is Kevin OK not knowing where his niece is? He assumes she's still with Daisy.
At RS, the Abbott's gush over their baby. Why did Billy freak about posting the baby's photo online? There's whackos out there, he replies - some readers have an ax to grind. No, he's not worried about the adoption. Lucy's their daughter and they have the papers to prove it.
Whining about Blake's lame response to Tucker's questions, Sophia wants Cane to issue him a warning - to do damage control with Tucker (or we'll all toast). Cane's sorry he dragged Sophia into it - knowing now that the Aussies won't back down. But - neither will he. It'll blow sky high - and THEY won't be calling the shots.
Still at CL's, Tucker's on the phone. Requesting the background check on Collier be emailed to him, he hops online to Google him (and is surprised to find the name James Collier has already been searched (and is listed on the death registry page Cane pulled up when initiating the scam).
Wrapping up their business, Diane's about to go up to find the watch she must have lost in Victor's fine linens. But first, she answers the door - and is face to face with Nikki.
How can I help you? Diane grins. Victor? Nikki barges past her - to get a frosty welcome from Victor. Explaining that she must have lost her watch when measuring the hallway, Diane goes in search of it (leaving Nikki to observe that she's made herself comfortable). That's none of Nikki's damn business - now, what the hell do you want?!
Calling Kevin over, Tucker learns that the online search was performed October 21st, 2010 - a week before Kevin's sister returned to town as a pregnant nun. Back on the phone, Tucker needs to know what date Ashby brought Collier onboard.
Strolling the twins onto the patio, Lily's asked about her romantic night. It was a nice evening - but Lily wants to know why Blake mentioned Samantha to her.
Blow sky high? What's Cane talking about? Things get bad when the boss is pissed, Cane explains what the Aussie's 'really want'; to make him the person he used to be. He's grateful to Sophia, but this is HIS war. First step - tell Lily the truth.
Taking a seat uninvited, Nikki's told to get to the point. She's sorry for her part in the anger between them. Unapologetic, Victor's all bark - now show yourself out. Jabbing his finger, he rants about the sleazy Deacon (though claims not to give a damn what Nikki does).
Get out! When Diane interrupts to announce she found her watch, she hints about (and is invited to stay for) lunch. Seeing Victor has more important things to do, Nikki will be leaving now. Uh hmmm, please do, Victor mumbles.
In his room, Deacon's barks into his phone. Why is Meggie wasting her phone privileges on him? Go ahead - tell Nikki he was stupid enough to team up with her. She won't believe it - enjoy lock down ~click~
Blake didn't mean anything by mentioning Samantha - he assumed Lily knew. Yes, Lily asked Cane (not knowing it'd bring back the pain of his sister's death). But you DID know, Lily accuses him of using HER to get a dig in at Cane. Blake's not a bad guy - he considers her and Cane good friends. Left confused, Lily's immediately joined by Daniel - to whom she confides being very wrong about someone.
Back home,
Cane's sure that going to Lily is the right thing to do. Sophia's not - Lily's been through enough. Getting a 'meet me at the office now' summons from Tucker, Sophia orders Cane to stay put - to think about what she said.
Sophia arriving, Tucker wastes not time reporting he found the name James Collier had been searched at CL's - on a death registry. The hall of records confirmed the late James Collier called to request a replacement birth certificate. Then - Cane handed them their new hire. Oh, the money they've paid a man who doesn't exist. Cane's a con artist! He was gonna get himself killed, Sophia interrupts. You were in on this?! Tucker's aghast.
A glum Lily confides that she liked and trusted Blake. But now it seems he's trying to hurt Cane. There's something familiar about him. If only Lily could remember. Daniel's sure it'll come back to her - and as he goes inside when the Abbott's arrive, it does - flashback to Blake; the ranger who appeared at the cabin. Meanwhile, Daniel joins the Abbott's - to declare the photos on Vikki's phone 'incredible'. Coming over, Kevin's introduced to Lucy - congratulations. And as Kevin moves on, Daniel can't tear his eyes away from his daughter.
Back at the ranch, Victor's impressed with the story Diane told Nikki (about losing her watch upstairs) - you've changed. Diane won't add to Victor's problems (and appreciates what happened last night). Will it happen again? she wonders. Likening Victor to Mount Everest, Diane wants nothing more than fun and romance. But if Victor's not 'game', no hard feelings.
Returning to Deacon's, Nikki realizes that visiting Victor was a mistake. Oh, and she wasn't the only one seeking comfort in the arms of another last night.
Kevin joins Daniel - and assumes they're both thinking the same thing. What? That Daisy's baby's probably the same size right now (as the baby Vikki's carting around). And as Kevin saunters off, Daniel continues to watch the Abbott's - discreetly picking up a forgotten pink pacifier (and mumbles something as he pockets it).
Nikki knows by Diane's sly little grin that she slept with Victor last night. But why do I even care!? He never changes, she continues to whine.
Each knowing where they stand, Victor's game to continue - as long as it's beneficial to both him and Diane (which is all the happy Diane needed to hear).
Tucker's not impressed that his 'right hand' let him be taken - like some punk. Cane has his reasons, Sophia explains that Tucker wasn't robbed. But he WAS lied to. It's over - he's out, Tucker won't change his mind on Cane. And you're fired too, he points his finger.
Cane returns home ready to come clean with Lily (who has something important to tell him). Cane needs to talk too - now. There's more Lily needs to know about him. It must be done.
Next: I can make a lot more money - by pairing with you, Jack tells Adam (or something to that effect) ... If only you had confided in me - but you didn't trust that I loved you enough, a weepy Lily tells Cane ... You think I could actually go to trial? For murdering Skye!? a stunned Sharon (with Adam) asks Leslie.
My Thoughts: Yay - I finally, 20 minutes ago, managed to rid my computer of the virus. It's called Palladium Pro (do yourselves a favour and run a quick search on your computer - and if you see it, delete it immediately. If you have trouble, a Google search will provide info and instruction on getting rid of it. Tomorrow, I should be able to upload the spoiler much earlier (and with fewer spelling errors) ... 'Celebrities' don't want their baby's photos online because 'there's whackos out there'? Hello - most whackos are (or find their way to) GC (sometimes even brought to town by your own father in law Billy). Besides, the Abbott's aren't really celebrities now are they? Billy really thinks there may be readers out there who have an ax to grind? Yet RS only ever reports on the Newman's ... Blake still considers Lily AND Cane his 'good friends'? Even after Cane's 'stay away from my wife' outburst? ... Odd that Sophia would be so opposed to Cane finally telling Lily the truth (since it's obvious that this so called secret is likely to be exposed) ... How stupid IS Victor? Diane's changed? Yeah - for the worse. And if she compares Victor to Mount Everest, what mountain does Nick represent? And are Victor's sheets really that much better in quality than Nick's? Is he using budget linens? ... Vikki should really be a bit more careful about leaving her baby's pacifier on dirty germ infested coffee shop tables ... It won't take folks long to figure out that Daniel is Lucy's real father - the way he can't take his eyes off the kid ... Vikki's photogenic? Who knew? (except the guy she posed for when doing her centerfold) ... Tucker really needs to take a basic computer course. If the search is in the computer's history, surely the date and time would be available too.
Who can blame Tucker for being upset with his trusted 'right hand' Sophia? She watched Cane and Blake play him for a fool .. Never mind hiring Ronan, Paul needs to hire a PI of Tucker's 'caliber'.
