Jack joining him in room #33, Adam can't help but recall the last time they conspired in a seedy motel - he ended up in jail. Jack now game to partner up, Adam claims it's his lucky day - his timing is most 'auspicious'.

Faith in her arms, Sharon lets Ashley in - only to be scolded about her letting Adam near Faith. Does Sharon not remember what Adam did? To both of them!? Why, if she knew Sharon wasn't going to put Faith first, Ashley wouldn't have handed her over. Based on the clip Ashley heard, she wonders if Sharon DID kill Skye. Huh? What clip? it doesn't take Sharon long to realize Phyllis is responsible.

Phyllis is fielding calls at RS - when Leslie delivers a cease and desist. Remove the clip immediately? We'll see about this, Phyllis is back on the phone.

At CL's, Neil and Malcolm catch up. How DOES Sophia's fiance handle the busy photographer being out of town so much? A wedding being planned, Neil's happy for his brother. Their differences behind them, Malcolm wants his big brother to be his best man. Neil'd be honoured ~hug~ His issues with Sophia are behind him too. She's a terrific lady. Malcolm wants the wedding to be 'loose and fun' - the family is long overdue for celebration.

Accusing Sophia as passing off an 'untrained man', Tucker fires the woman who put his company at risk. No longer trusting Sophia, he demands she hand over her company ID, keys and credit card - NOW! Stammering apologies, Sophia leaves after doing so.

At home, Cane confesses all to Lily. He's being blackmailed by the powerful criminal organization family he was once an active part of (when he was a different man of course). After losing his sister, Cane went to the authorities - then Philip gave him the opportunity to leave the past behind him. Wanting payback, his family sent Blake. Remembering that he posed as a cop, Lily is horrified that Cane lied to her - AGAIN. He was in the house - with her and the twins! Vowing that Lily and the kids are the only thing that matter, Cane vows that they were always safe.

At the seedy motel, Jack declares Adam a low life bastard. That's fine, Adam thinks Jack a sanctimonious bastard. Bottom line - they hate each other less than they hate Victor. Having located Victor's 'blood money', Adam, as Skye's only heir, has transferred her money to his account (which will then be used to reestablish the Newman Fund).

Ending her call with Rafe, Phyllis tells Leslie that she's been advised to comply with the cease and desist. The footage will be pulled from the RS website. Not satisfied, Leslie whines that the clip (that's making it's way through cyber space) has compromised Sharon's right to a fair trial. Thanks to 'trial by tabloid', Sharon could be convicted of murder!

After putting Faith to bed, Sharon blames Phyllis for the incriminating tape being on the web - and denies she killed Skye (whom she tried to save). Ashley's skeptical that Sharon's innocent - and KNOWS Adam isn't. He's sorry!? How can Sharon forgive him - and let him live with that innocent little girl!?

At RS, Jack thinks Phyllis handled the cease and desist well. Yeah, well - Phyllis is no fan of Sharon's, but the clip WAS posted hastily. She doesn't want her and Sharon's feud to mirror Jack's with Victor. Sharon's done horrible things - but killing Skye isn't one of em.

No sooner has Sharon asked Ashley to leave - Adam arrives to repeat the request. No problem - Ashley can't stand to be in the same room at Adam anyway. She feels sorry for Sharon (as no one believed HER stories - thanks to Sharon's boyfriend). After Ashley leaves Sharon to fret (about the clip), Leslie arrives - the clip's been pulled, but the jury pool's been tainted. Sharon seems completely stunned - you mean I could go to trial!? For murdering Skye!?

As summoned, Neil arrives at Tucker. What!? Sophia and Cane have been fired?! Is this some joke? No Neil, the joke's on 'us'.

Meeting Malcolm at CL's, Sophia updates that she's been fired. Why? It's a long story. But you're Tucker's 'right hand', Malcolm reminds. Yeah - but Sophia messed up - big time.

Everything's a lie? No! Cane's love for Lily is real - she's safe. But how can Lily trust that? She's more than 'upset' (having forgiven Cane's past lies; which he promised there'd be no more of). Beyond pissed, Lily feels that Cane went out of his way to hide his other life.

Tucker explains how Sophia covered for the dumbass Blake. His investigation uncovered Cane's scam. Astounded, Neil claims - man to man - that he had no idea. Believing Neil, Tucker adds that Sophia only went along with it to protect Cane.

Still at CL's, Malcolm's unimpressed; Sophia lied to her boss - perpetrated fraud. This explains all all those extra hours of work... Oh, why didn't Sophia confide in her fiance? Angry that Cane's taking Sophia down with him, Malcolm's ready to kick his ass. How could she keep something so explosive a secret - and what does that say about THEIR relationship?!

His phone ringing, Cane checks the number - the tosses it on the sofa (so Lily can continue her 'how could you lie to me' rant). Cane's full of excuses - he was afraid Lily would relapse - afraid he'd lose her - he was ashamed of the man he was. Lily could forgive Cane anything - if only he trusted their love enough to confide in her.

Knowing she's innocent, the stunned Sharon just assumed the charges would 'go away'. Yeah, but the tape's incriminating - and the DA's pushing for a speedy trial, Leslie informs. Left alone to panic, Sharon asks Adam in being innocent is enough?!

On the phone, Phyllis arranges a banner; RS will follow new developments in Sharon's trial, as they happen (in the Skye vs. the volcano case). Hanging up, Phyllis informs Jack that she must get the facts out there. Knowing Sharon's no killer, Jack wonders what Phyllis wants to do about this. Much to her own surprise, Phyllis has a request of Jack; help me help Sharon.

Arriving at Tucker's, Ashley's just in much as need of a drink as he is. Sharon's dysfunctional little family is making her sick. And how was HIS day? Not so good - Tucker fired Sophia.

At Neil's, Sophia whines that Cane's avoiding her calls. OK, say it. Neil does - what the hell were you thinking!?

Don't touch me! Lily shrinks from Cane (who'd do anything to relieve his 'sweetie's' pain). Knocking at the door, Malcolm won't be deterred by Cane. After he announces Tucker's firings, Cane explains the 5 million debt Sophia was helping him repay (and why Blake was hired). Oh God, this just keeps getting worse; Neil, Sophia, Malcolm were also lied to, Lily wails.

You think you know someone, Tucker gripes to Ashley (who can relate - thanks to Sharon). Ashley's sorry he was betrayed - you'll always have me ~kiss~

Explaining how Cane (a good guy) was blackmailed, Sophia just wanted to pay it forward (as she was once in trouble too).

Malcolm's scolding of Cane ends when Lily sends him off to tend to the twins. I'll be in the nursery, he says menacingly. Now alone, Lily doesn't think Cane can 'fix' this - like it's a broken lamp or sumthin'. It'll take time, but Cane's sure their love can overcome anything.

Answering the door, Sharon and Adam greet Jack and Phyllis (who declares Sharon a mess, but she didn't kill Skye). Jack too believes Sharon innocent (she didn't so much as jab him with a fork after all). Feeling bad about uploading the audio clip, Phyllis would like to make up for it - but proving Sharon's innocence. Adam and Sharon skeptical, Jack nudges Phyllis inside.

OK - what now? Phyllis will take notes - details. Trusting Jack, Sharon will cooperate. Quietly, Jack tells Adam that they should keep the revived hedge fund to themselves. Adam agrees to keep that project separate; no need to blur the lines. Let's do this thing, Phyllis interrupts.

And as Ashley snuggles with Tucker, Neil leaves Sophia - he can't deal with this right now - he MUST go see Lily.

Cane would do anything to take Lily's pain away? OK - leave! Get out of this house. Tail between his legs, Cane leaves her to sniffle.
