Feeling quite the fool for believing all Cane's lies, Lily rips him a new one, butt good, so to speak. She's going out with the twins - and Cane better be gone when she gets back!
As the motorcycle roars off, Neil rounds the corner outside Jimmy's to scoop Sophia up off the ground. As Malcolm arrives, Sophia assures she's OK (but has no info for the cop who's also raced over; other than that the rider's helmet had a skull decal). Meanwhile, at CL's, Blake sets down the described helmet - then gestures to Collin (who's listening to Jill's ideas for their elegant but intimate wedding).
At the ranch, Kyle's annoyed that Diane's still working on her laptop. As he sulks out, Victor arrives to announce that Nick's been awarded full custody (though who can be happy - seeing a mother lose her child?). No one today - and it's all Adam's fault. Off to see the contractor, Diane asks Victor to keep an eye on Kyle.
Now home, Nick sadly promises Faith that he'll take good care of her. Knock knock. Could Nick use a friend? You bet he could.
Also home, Sharon's understandably sad - all she wants is Faith (but settles for Adam's supportive hug).
At CL's with Neil and Malcolm, Sophia's also fussed over by Jill (with Collin). If she sees an idiot with a skull helmet, she's gonna kick his butt.
Collin heads to the patio - ordering Blake to get rid of the helmet and meet him at Jimmy's - now. Setting the helmet aside, Blake races over to Lily (as she arrives at the club). Clearly with no desire to hear his 'side', Lily barks at Blake to leave her and her twins alone (then marches off).
Still moping around, Kyle picks up a framed photo of Vikki and Reed. Pretty cool that they're kinda related (his Uncle Billy married to Vikki). Vikki hasn't been there for a while, Victor admits that he misses her. Now, how about some snowmobiling? Excited about doing doughnuts, Kyle runs off to get suited up - this'll be totally awesome!
Over wine, Faith down for the night, Nick mopes about poor Faith. Diane can relate - Kyle cried when they left GC. She felt like the worst mother in the world (but has always tried to put Kyle first). Oh what great parents they both are. You're a good Daddy. Nick thinks he made a mistake - in saying he just wants to be friends with Diane.
Served a drink, Sharon ignores it - oh how loud the silence is. Adam will get Faith back - Nick and Victor don't know the lengths he'll go to to make Sharon happy. Grabbing his coat, Adam's off to wake Nick up - with his fists. No? What else is he to do? Be here with me, Sharon implores.
Nick would rather be WITH Diane than without her. How does she know he won't change his mind again? This kiss oughtta prove it. But Diane wants more from the relationship - like seeing if they have more in common. Over dinner, Nick agrees.
Malcolm doubts their mystery rider's local - and Neil's checked on Devon. Jill's curious - somebody did this on purpose? It's related to Cane being blackmailed? That's exactly what Neil thinks.
Weeping his way through the closet, Cane puts back a pair of ballet shoes. Bags packed, he sets them down to make a video on his laptop. Hey Matty, Charlie - Daddy's going away for a while (but first, there's things he wants them to know).
Her bandaged hand propped up, Sophia isn't convinced her mishap was deliberate (and isn't happy to be looking over her shoulder for helping Cane).
Meeting inside Jimmy's, Collin's impressed with Blake's loyalty - but methods suck. Since he was told to stay low, Blake's now ordered back to Australia - tonight!
Cane ends his farewell video - oh, how much he loves the twins and their Mommy. I'll always be with you. Lily returns - not happy to see Cane's still there. He's been thinking .... Lily's been trying not to (lest she hate Cane). No - there's no way he can make this right. But fine - she'll listen.
Nick and Diane work together in the tackhouse kitchen - bickering over whether the jalapeno peppers Di's chopping should be added to Nick's authentic Tuscany sauce.
The merriment and flirting are interrupted by a call from Kyle - Victor ran into a tree while snowmobiling. Diane coming back to the ranch is a 'great idea', Victor's now on the phone. Kyle's shaken up, Diane reports as she exits.
Sharon explains that beating Nick up won't help the situation. Adam feels it's all his fault. But without Adam in her life, Sharon would have missed out on so much. People hurt each other - doesn't mean they stop loving each other. As Adam gripes about Victor, Sharon claims he could never understand the love they share. Poor Victor - poor Nick - THEY'RE the ones missing out. Sharon's never felt this kind of love before ~kiss~
Can't leave you two alone for five minutes,
Diane rushes in to scold - then sends Kyle off for bandages (while she tends to Victor's bleeding forehead). And as Diane sorts through bandages, Victor and Kyle rave about the great time they had.
Sophia refuses to live in fear - and the baseball bat beside her bed isn't because she's a Brewer's fan. Yes, she'd like Malcolm to come home; to bed with her tonight ~hug~
Lily's mention of her run in with Blake is a lead in for Cane's idea (to leave GC and start a new life where no one knows who he is). Lily objects - her life is in GC. He can't keep running away. Cane's come clean - now he needs time to figure out what's next for 'us'. Lily won't be guilted - and isn't going anywhere (except to get the twins so he can say good bye).
Diane dabbing at his head with alcohol, Victor's all smiles (because of the fun he had). Diane's fantasized about this - he and Kyle becoming close. Taking her hand, Victor sure is glad he asked Diane to move in. Kyle back with bandages, Diane's pressured into watching a movie with them (then calls Nick to ask for a raincheck - leading him to believe it's because of Kyle). Watching Kyle and Victor, Diane can't conceal her delight.
Lily stands by as Cane tells the twins how much he loves them (and Mommy). He did everything for them - but now he must leave (for a little while, Cane promises). You really shouldn't make promises you can't keep, Lily sneers.
Back at CL's, Neil warns Sophia to be careful - and can only hope that Cane's right (they're in no danger). Hmm - where's Collin? And as Jill leaves him a message, he joins her on the patio - to suggest they get married tonight.
The fire raging, Sharon and Adam kiss n cuddle. This is really what love feels like. I had NO idea, she gushes. Meanwhile, Nick's feeding Faith spaghetti. His has sauce - which isn't bad with jalapenos. Is Diane a keeper? Yeah - Nick thinks so too.
At the ranch, Diane quickly replaces the photo of Nick she's admiring - as Kyle and Victor come in babbling about the awesome movie they're gonna watch. Yes, this is how Diane wants to spend her evening (much to Victor's joy).
Now seated on the patio, Jill's surprised Collin wants to get married tonight. We love each other, Collin reminds - why wait? Why tonight? After Sophia's brush with death, Collin doesn't want to have any regrets. Jill wants to do it right - tomorrow. OK - it's a deal, Collin's satisfied.
While Blake's watching the video of Lily on his phone, Lily finally manages to get rid of Cane. See you tomorrow, he says. Without replying, Lily shuts the door (which on either side of, both Ashby's are pouting)
Next: Seated with Jill at the club, Billy's clearly been told that Jill's eloping with Collin. This is nuts! When did you get engaged!? Do you even have a ring?!
... Collin threatens Blake - just keep him out of the church. If you do anything stupid, I swear I'll make you regret it ... Blake goes down the church steps a few feet to block Cane. Whatever you're thinking mate, forget it (to which Cane mumbles a reply I can't translate).
My Thoughts: Oh yeah Victor - you're a real 'dare devil' (just drop the 'dare') ... When is Kevin going to fix the pay phone on the patio? (not that anyone uses it anyway, but still) ... Stay away from my twins, Lily growls - as she rams the stroller at Blake ... Odd how Cane doesn't have to open up any programs to make a video. I tried that - and made a nice little speech to my desktop icons ... Sophia's hand all bandaged up, having just almost lost her life - who's idea was it to drop by CL's for a coffee? (love the way her injured hand hovers - until Malcolm supports it. Now at least, she can show her engagement ring off)
.. On such a dark street, how on earth could Sophia see a decal on the SIDE of a helmet?
Maybe the cop who appeared out of thin air shoulda given chase - surely he could have caught up with the bike. Or he could have called in for back up or road blocks. I mean, how hard would it be to spot a motorcycle speeding down the streets - especially the last day of January! It's not like they even have to be on the lookout for any particular make or model - just pull over anyone stupid enough to be ploughing through the snow on a motorcycle (which is now parked at the club!?). Blake IS an idiot. Sophia's not exactly a waif. Maybe Chloe or Lily could be taken out by a motorcycle - but had he hit Sophia, he'd be just as likely to kill himself (not to mention total the motorcycle). No wonder Collin's pissed ... Huh? Now Adam's the love of Sharon's life? She NEVER loved Nick (or Jack) the same way she does him? Guess Cassie and her stupid predictions were wrong... Sharon's right; People DO hurt each other all the time - what they DON'T do, is kidnap babies - try to drive their most supportive (and only) friends crazy - seduce members of the same sex ... If Lily really didn't want to come back to find Cane still there, maybe she shoulda given him some idea of how long she'd be ... How long does Diane think she can keep juggling Victor and his son? All either of them has to do is look out the window (to see her walking back and forth - or where her car's parked). Too bad Victor didn't run over HER on his snowmobile .... NOW all Sharon wants is Faith? Odd - cause for the past few weeks it's seemed like all she wanted was Adam (and now that's all she's got). I couldn't muster any sympathy for her today (maybe if she did a sobbing scene - like Phyllis did when she lost custody of Daniel). Plus - Nick DID say Sharon could visit Faith whenever she wanted. Instead of crying on Adam's shoulder, she could be at the tackhouse eating authentic Tuscany pasta ... No - Diane's kid certainly didn't 'fall off a tree' - that'd be too easy. Diane went through a lot of trouble to have him (including stealing sperm she thought was Victor's - which is the only thing that could make this triangle more repulsive) ... How rude IS Diane? When a man invites you over - to cook dinner for you - sit back and let him do it - don't bully him into adding YOUR ingredients. Now Faith has to eat her spaghetti without any sauce? Yeah - way to put the kids first! (just like her typing away on her laptop for hours while the bored Kyle mopes around) ..... Nick wonders if Diane has any regrets. Ya mean like sleeping with your Dad last night? ... Kyle screamed the entire flight out of GC - maybe because his poor ears were 'killing him'. Never mind him - what about the ears of their poor fellow flyers? ... Diane really wants to find out what she and Nick have in common? Hmmm - lemme see - what else could these two POSSIBLY have in common.
