Mike's legal briefs expand - at the sight of his hot wife in a fire engine red dress. Yowsa! ~kiss~
In G-worm's upstairs office, Kevin and Chloe are stunned to find themselves locked in (as a smug Gloria dangles the keys outside the door). Mom! Mom! Kevin bellows.
Downstairs, the place is packing up. Collecting 'donations', Jeff calls Angelo (he'll have his money by closing time). Now downstairs, Glo's all smiles - until Jeff points out someone who wants to snap her cupid's arrow like a twig; Jana.
Meanwhile, Nikki's been thinking a lot about Deacon too - worried that he's an alcoholic tending bar. Dance with me, Deacon (who's on a break) extends his hand (wiping the smile off Nikki's face).
On Nick's front step, Victor, bears in hand, doesn't look too happy at the sight of him and Diane kissing inside.
At home, Sharon's no longer in the mood to go out (after Vance's call) - worried that she'll be going to trial. Supportive, Adam repeats - it's just you and me - forget about 'them'.
As Sophia sips at the bar, the manager brings over a flower arrangement (that slipped through the cracks during cancellation). Yes, Sophia's 'very sorry' too. As Malcolm arrives, Sophia offers a hopeful smile (which isn't returned).
Joining Sophia at the bar, Malcolm's just come from the funeral home - and isn't sure what he's doing there. Sophia isn't sure either - but here she is, with a bouquet and a drink. Both admire the flowers; a 'bundle of happiness'. Seeing him walk in, Sophia felt the same was as when she first met Malcolm - a twinge called 'hope'.
Her hostess smile pasted on, Gloria tells Jana that Kevin's not there. His car's here - you must be confused, Jana marches through the restaurant. Initially declining the dance, knowing she'll regret it, Nikki finally agrees - just as Victor walks in. Good - cause they're Gloria's next targets (to get back together). Making a beeline for Victor, Glo (the hostess with the mostest) explains that she orders the bartenders to dance with the guests - Nikki with Deacon is NOT what it looks like. Victor marches onto the dance floor - to wonder if Nikki's drunk. Sober? For 4 months? Then she has no excuse for dancing with 'this character'. He treats me with respect and kindness, Nikki smiles. Yes, Deacon DOES want something from Nikki; her company. Nikki's sorry Victor's alone - but SHE'S here to have a good time. Victor walks off texting - mumbling that Nikki will 'crash' tomorrow.
At the tackhouse, Nick dismounts Diane - so she can take a call from Victor (who wants to see her - it's important). Di might wanna break her plans - this can't wait - you won't regret it. OK - Diane will come to G-worm 'shortly'. No - Nick's not mad, it's work ~kiss~ Yet, he's left bared chested, disappointed - to call the babysitter over (so he can 'check out' a charity function).
Locked in the office, Chloe rants about the 'craziness' she can't discuss - and then at Kevin (knowing Kay and Gloria are setting them up). Kevin doesn't get why she's busting his chops - we're done. SHE didn't sleep with his psycho brother - where's Chloe's points for that? Well, where's Kevin's points for not cheating or dying on Chloe? She sure as hell made sure she got Cane and Billy - so, obviously doesn't want HIM too badly!
The Baldwin's arrive at G-worm - to hand over a 'very large check' for the cause. Adam and the cautious Sharon are next. It's just the two of us, Adam says yet again (as he leads Sharon to the dance floor for more ass kissing). Diane arrives to join Victor (who orders a bottle of champagne to their table). Diane suspects she's not there on business (which Victor confirms). He loves working with her - and spending personal time. Champagne delivered, Victor thinks they've matured since they divorced (and are more suitable for one another now). He wants Diane 'by his side'. Diane used to dream of this. Her decision? Fill my glass (as she's not going anywhere).
In the alley, Deacon wraps his coat around the agitated Nikki - don't worry about Victor. Nikki's fine - and won't allow Victor to push her buttons. How nice that her good friend Deacon has never hurt her. Deacon admits he's a jack ass too (which Nikki doesn't agree with). Now - let's go finish that dance....
Gloria stops Jana from going upstairs - the powder room's THAT way. She's then happy to see Nick arriving - just as Victor makes an announcement; toasting their hosts - promoting the cause (which causes Nikki's jaw to drop), he hands over a check that has Jeff 'woofing' - on behalf of Victor - and the woman in his life. All gape as he kisses Diane (including the non too impressed Nikki and Nick).
Back at the club's bar, Malcolm admits that Cane's death is not Sophia's fault (but shrugs her off as she reaches out). OK - she gets that it's too soon (but loves him). The future is OUR future.
Admiring Victor's check, Glo's pleased that Victor announced his new love at their fabulous event. Jana distracts Glo by spreading a rumour that there's a press van outside - allowing her to grab the keys and sneak upstairs.
The loud argument continuing, Chloe no longer thinks she's a 'black widow' - and no longer having an excuse for dumping Kevin, kisses him passionately (which Jana arrives to get an eyeful of).
Downstairs, an outraged Nikki gripes to Deacon (about Victor declaring Diane the love of his life - for her benefit). SHE gave him Segundo - and NOW he's patron saint of all beasts!? Deacon's sarcastic - good thing he can't push your buttons. Sauntering over, Sharon strikes first - makes sense for Nikki to be with this felon (who ruined Vikki's marriage - while Victor's there with his gold digging ex. How nice it must be to be so righteous, she smugly walks off (Adam following).
Diane calls Victor on his announcement - you get to me - always have, she admits (then panics as she spots Nick glaring at her). Hurrying off to make a call, Diane finds Nick kicking stuff about in the alley. Nick! Turning, he glares at her.
Excuse you, Chloe gripes. Worried because Kevin didn't come home, Jana came looking for him. Kevin reminds Jana that she doesn't need to worry about him - he has plans tonight (and Jana should go). Good night, he takes the keys and shuts the door in Jana's disgruntled face - them removes his shirt to get busy with Chloe.
You're seeing my Dad, Nick accuses - while seeing me - and it never once came up - not once. Victor and Diane have history. Yes, Nick was impressed that they could work together (after their war). Diane was surprised by Victor's announcement. No big deal - Nick figures - they had sex - not this 'deep thing' she has with his Dad. No hard feelings, he strolls off.
How romantic - funding puppies - declaring your feelings for Diane, Nikki strolls over to snipe at Victor . Oh, I must have left my watch - upstairs - while I was measuring, she mocks Diane. Nikki knew what was going on - but isn't Kyle an example of what Diane's capable of? Victor changes the topic - Deacon's using Nikki (and he doesn't give a damn). Victor then approaches Nick - nice evening? You and Diane huh? Nick snarls. How long's THAT been goin' on? Why does Nick ask? Victor feigns innocence.
Back at the club's bar, Sophia tries to drag Malcolm out of his gloomy mood - hungry? Or we could go home - relax? Lily needs help with the babies - he'll be home - eventually. But when is Malcolm coming back to their bedroom? Malcolm's only concern is Lily - everything else is gonna have to wait.
Nick wonders if Victor hired Diane on full time because (they're having sex). Victor keeps business and personal separate - so does Diane. he made the announcement to reassure her. Nick brings up the accusations about him (regarding Skye) - and his split with Mom. Why hook up with his ex? Does she need money? You don't know Diane that well, Victor sniffs - she's a complicated woman - who needs a man she can't lead around by the nose.
The Baldwin's bid Gloria good night. Seeing Diane pass, Mike sends Lauren ahead - so he can chat (as they have the same boss now). Being with Victor is what she's always wanted - she must be thrilled. Couldn't be happier, Diane smiles as Victor joins her (though looks distressed as Nick glares at them). Nikki joins Nick - it's grotesque - how could two people possibly be more brazen? Nick wonders who she's referring to; Victor and Diane? Sharon and Adam? Deacon and herself?? Who cares, he drinks.
At their table, Adam's grateful that the truth all came out - he no longer fears being exposed. And Sharon's love means the world to him. Gloria comes along with dessert; Banana's Foster. And what IS that on top? Why it's a diamond ring. A ring! Sharon gasps with delight.
In the alley, Angelo's about to be paid off, but he scurries off when Glo comes out with the animal rescue lady (and her large dog). After Jeff's forced to hand the envelope of cash over, Angelo generously gives him more time (for the puppies) - and his interest will only go up 10% - Happy Valentine's Day. Jeff's left wearing his 'drat - foiled again' expression.
Naked beneath a blanket on the sofa - the deed done, a panting Kevin jokes that maybe they SHOULD just be friends (then is shoved onto the ground by a giggling Chloe).
At home, Mike and Lauren run around in towels - for ice cream. Mike's glad that Jill didn't show up with Collin and 'desk hair'. Enough talk - the towels drop - the chase is on. C'mere you!
Oh look - it's Hope's ring - and it belongs on Sharon's finger - just like the last time he proposed. The gathered crowd mutters - what is he doing? Is he insane? (from Victor and Nikki respectively). You changed my life - and me. Adam will spend each day making it better than the day before. Applause rings out from all (except the obvious - including Nick, who stomps out).
Next: Lily gulps - as Cane's casket is carried down the aisle (by Neil, Malcolm, Philip, Devon and Dr Nate) ... Tucker gets into it with Kay - Blame me all you want for what happened to Cane - but I would have treated him like family if he gave him the chance ... Lily awakens to find Cane smiling beside her in bed. I knew you'd come, she smiles back.
My Thoughts: Where on earth did the Bardwell's manage to get 'Puppy Love' signs made on such short notice? .. Malcolm and Sophia were gonna get married at the club? The wealthy pair couldn't afford better - like the Colonnade Club? (which I think I recently heard is still in business - tho no idea how that could possibly be) ..... Ego alert: Why would Nikki think her dancing with Deacon would draw 'a lot of attention'? It's Valentine's Day - Wouldn't the other couples be mostly focused on themselves - not the old timers around them? Do the local patrons really care who Nikki's man du jour is? (even if Deacon does look delicious in his tux - especially standing alongside the underdressed Victor) And if Diane feels underdressed, how out of place must Nick feel (kinda feeling sorry for him - he probably wished he'd just stayed at home) ..... Gloria really thought she could reconcile Nikki and Victor? Id' love to hear her plan to accomplish that, Cause putting them in the same room obviously ain't cuttin' it ..... Gotta love Kevin and Chloe - friends, lovers - or battling enemies. I'll take em (never mind that they really belong on Jersey Shore) ... Have a great weekend!
