At CL's, Phyllis is sorry she wasn't around for Cane's funeral. S'OK - the flowers were nice. Briefly discussing how hard things are for Lily, Malcolm explains that the ground was too frozen - Cane's being buried today. Phyllis would like to go - but, good idea or not, Lily insists on doing it alone.

At home, Lily knows Neil (and the family) means well - but she wants to bury her husband alone, privately. Let me go - be there, Neil persists. Jill can babysit.

At G-worm, Jill mopes that it's wrong to put Cane in the ground without his family there. Neil calls - alas, Lily hasn't 'come to her senses' - she doesn't want anyone else there. But, could Jill watch the babies? Sure - she and Collin (able to clear his schedule) will be right over.

Nick marches into Victor's office - you're a damn liar. Knowing his father was in Hawaii, Nick accuses him of being involved in her disappearance (and death). Worse, he didn't come forward to help Sharon. Victor won't see any harm come to Sharon. Since Victor's willing to crush anyone in his way (including family), why would Nick stand beside him in arbitration (against his sisters)? You're walking down a dangerous road, Victor warns - and he better get his facts straight before accusing him.

At G-worm, Jack accosts Mike - Victor agreeing to arbitration means he thinks he'll win. Now, why IS that? Mike chuckles - you're not part of the lawsuit, he marches on his way.

Seated at G-worm, Vikki will indeed keep Tucker posted (as, due to their deal, he has a vested interest). The deal's still on - she delivers BofN and he'll make her CEO of the merged companies. When Jack strolls over, Tucker leaves him to comment that their conversation seemed 'conspiratorial'. Now, what's this job offer?

On the CL's patio, Abby and Daniel discuss the arbitration. What if Dad never talks to me again? He's a champion grudge holder. You're too cute to stay mad at, Daniel opines. He'll never be cool about giving up 3 billion dollars, Abby knows.

Inside CL's, Malcolm whines to Phyllis - how can he marry someone who keeps secrets? He of all people should know that people make mistakes. If he loves Sophia, they'll get through this. Malcolm supposes - and Cane's the one who put his family in danger. As Ester comes in, her phone ringing, Phyllis jumps up to help. And as Daniel (with Abby) come in from the patio, he's alarmed to see Phyllis holding the darling Lucy Abbott (have you met her?)

Why Lucy's almost as adorable as Daniel was at this age. Why NOT 'say that'? Is Daniel bothered that he has a kid out there somewhere? When Malcolm tries to relate, Daniel feigns disinterest (though both Abby and Phyllis think he should find out where his baby is). Daniel's NOT upset - he's just FINE. Approaching the crowd, Leslie's taunted by Phyllis - who introduces her to the interested Malcolm and Ester. She's there with news that could affect the arbitration. Told that Vikki should be involved (and that she's at G-worm), Leslie leaves with Abby (whom Phyllis thinks brave for going against Victor).

Nick's suspicions have now been replaced with 'concrete evidence' - video of Victor on the volcano. Victor chuckles - you can't be serious. You have nothing. A blurry image doesn't prove Skye and Sharon were there (or even where 'there' is). They then argue over whether there's enough to convict Sharon. Victor's tried to help - he paid her bail! Nick's not impressed that he throws money around. What WOULD be good enough then? What's Victor supposed to do? Speak up? Say Sharon didn't kill Skye? What does Nick want? The truth - that Victor's lied to him - and isn't the father Nick thought he was.

Not buying Vikki's story (that Tucker wants to hire her), Jack wonders if there's a side deal. Vikki could asks the same question (Abby would have caved without Jack's encouragement). So - what's in it for HIM?

After herding Ester (and Lucy) out, Phyllis wonders if seeing the baby doesn't make Daniel want to find his own. We WILL discuss this, she leaves Malcolm to 'talk some sense' into her son. Malcolm wishes he'd known Lily was his from day one. So what WILL Daniel say when his daughter comes to him - wondering why he never looked for her? When Daniel admits he was damaged by being separated from a parent, Malcolm concludes that he has his answer.

Jill given instructions by Lily, Collin chimes in to say they brought orchids for Cane's grave. How thoughtful. And handing Charlie to Collin, Jill gives Lily a card (to leave with the flowers). If it's any consolation, Lily stresses that Cane really valued his relationship with Jill. This little guy's in good hands, Collin grins.

Jack was ASKED for his advice. He'll be satisfied with his niece getting what she deserves (and Victor too). Leslie's trails behind the agitated Abby. We have to talk! Dad's up to something! Abby wanting her 'business advisor' to stay, they sit. Leslie reports that Victor has a secret weapon (to ensure his win) - Nicholas. He's gonna testify that he has no problem with how Victor manages the trust fund money. Nick would never do that, Vikki protests. If Nick backs his father, it's a big blow to our case, Leslie concludes.

You blew any chance of redeeming yourself (by not being honest), Nick rants. Victor doesn't feel the need to redeem himself - everything he's done is for his company and family. Nick can no longer believe that. The only person Victor's loyal to is himself. Who showed Nick this video - and why? As Mike arrives, Victor warns Nick that someone's using him (and trying to turn Nick against him). Dismissing Nick, Victor reminds that his sisters are destroying the company that bears his name. He better show up at the arbitration. Oh, Nick'll be there alright.

So - what WILL Nick do? Why NOT let em 'duke it out' without him? Alas, Nick would just come back to a bigger mess. Tough when you can't trust your own father, Phyllis sympathizes (and is sorry she had to deliver the bad news). Nick's conflicted - this isn't just some father/son thing. He has an obligation to the company and it's employees. It's not easy to walk away.

Who knows why Uncle Jack does what he does? He has a secret agenda, Abby deflects - just like Nick. Just like you. Abby's not stupid - what's to stop her from going to Dad and making a deal right now? We'll get what we want IF we stick together, Vikki insists. Really? With Nick backing Victor? Abby's cut off when Leslie arrives, followed by Mike, then Victor (who wants to put an end to this nonsense). All file in - Abby dragging her feet.

Jack pays Tucker a visit - confident that the Valentine's Day sales made him happy. It'll only get better when the girls win their lawsuit (and HE can deliver BofN). Is Jack still confident he can accomplish that? Yes - Abby will do what Jack tells her to. And Vikki? Jack's heard that Tucker's trying to hire her. Tucker just lost 2 top executives - thought Vikki'd be a good fit. But, she's a new Mom. So, there's no plan to merge the companies with Vikki as CEO? Interesting idea, Tucker plays dumb. One problem - you have a contract with ME, Jack reminds. Yes - but if Tucker forms a new company, all bets are off. IF Tucker forms a new company, Jack and Ashley better be running it. OR, Jack will screw him over too (a threat which amuses rather than intimidates Tucker).

After checking on the twins, Jill again grills Collin - if Cane knew Samantha so well, why didn't HE know Cane? Well - he was busy with work when they were young - and later, Collin and Samantha were estranged. Jill now realizes why Cane's funeral was so hard on him. More than I can say, Collin agrees.

Lily talks at Cane's grave site. If only they left town when Cane wanted to. You did everything you could to protect us. I forgive you, she weeps - you'll always be my loving, handsome husband. I need you - Charlie and Matty need you. Lily needs to know that Cane's looking out for them. Spotting Cane amidst the fog, Lily takes a step forward; Cane! But he vanishes.

As Phyllis blasts onto the CL's patio, Daniel jumps to escape (then reluctantly agrees to grant her 5 minutes). Both now seated, Phyllis reminds that the authorities haven't found a trace of Daisy. WE need to do something. Like what? Hire PI's - go to Canada themselves. As she pulls out her phone to call Billy (for time off), Daniel objects - relax. Does Daniel want to find (and find a way to be a father to) his child. That's just it - Daniel doesn't know what 'way' that would be.

Tucker assures Jack that if he delivers BofN, he and Ashley will get their contract. Jack knows Vikki's ambitious enough to phase him and Ashley out. Tucker balks - would he do that to his fiance? Jack hopes not (and reminds that one word from him, to Abby - and the whole BofN deal is off). Trust me, Tucker reassures (while it remains to be seen whether Jack thinks him worthy of that trust).

The interested parties are seated around the arbitration table. The Judge ready to make his ruling, Mike checks his watch - they're expecting another witness at any moment (to testify on Victor's behalf). Just as Victor assures he'll be there, Nick arrives - sorry I'm late. Just in time son, Victor mumbles (then looks most displeased as Nick takes a seat across from him - on Vikki/Abby's side of the table (which causes all to exchange cautious glances).

Jill carries Charlie around - delighted when Collin volunteers for diaper duty. Having missed out on his own kid's childhood's, he looks forward to being part of his step-grand kids lives. Handing Charlie to Collin, Jill answers the door (to let Malcolm in). They don't need any help - as you can see, the twins are very comfortable with their step-grandfather.

A distraught Lily calls out to Cane - where are you?? Neil rushing over, Lily babbles that someone was standing there. No, Neil hugs her - pats her on the back. No, no, honey - he's gone. Shhh - shhhh. Lily sobs in his arms.

Next: Jana visits Billy at RS - I heard you were looking for a nanny. You still interviewing? .... At G-worm, Abby's clearly not happy with whatever Mike's just told her. YOU are trying to use my father's death to get me to second guess this lawsuit, she accuses .... Nick tries to sound tough for Vikki - Everyone talks about how ruthless Dad is. What til he sees how ruthless *I* can be.

My Thoughts: Lily and Cane were gonna go to Paris - 'one day'? What on earth was stopping them? Not like they can't affored it (or get the time off work) ... Why is Lily depriving Cane's 'family' the chance to say good bye to him? .... Jack gets the satisfaction of knowing his niece gets what she deserves? Does he feel that way about Colleen? ... The DA wouldn't prosecute unless they had a case? Huh? The DA's office takes people to court all the time without a solid case .... Victor doesn't think Skye a 'credible victim'? Since when did victims need to be credible? ... Why does Nick think the video concrete evidence? Even Jack and Phyllis acknowledged that it wasn't enough to free Sharon ... I wonder how long it'll take before Sharon's told that Victor bailed her out. She doesn't seem to be puzzled by that little mystery at all .... Weird weather in GC - Daniel and Abby are dressed in their winter woollies when they arrive at CL's - yet Lucy's in a thin sleeper - no hat - and not even bundled up in her blankie. Phyllis is sleeveless (or rather, one arm is) - but there's a swirling mist at the graveyard (which I assume means it's cold - or the set of a Halloween flick) .... What 'schedule' does Collin need to clear? He can't have any business meetings. His business is in Australia .... Daniel claims that Phyllis pulls the 'I'm never talking to you again' - 'from time to time'? What kinda mother says that to her only son? And she seemed to be goading Daniel (certainly not concerned that he might very well be 'bothered' that he has a child out there - somewhere) ... Is there a side deal that JACK has to concern 'himself' with? Why would that be on any concern to HIM? Like Mike said - last he checked, Jack wasn't named in the lawsuit ... I'm really liking this new, assertive Nick (not that it'll get him anywhere) ... I can't wait to see Ashley's face when she learns that Tucker's firing her - to make Vikki the CEO of the newly merged cosmetics companies. Is Tucker's (fictitious) job offer to Vikki ANY of Jack's business? ... Great that Jabot sales were good for Valentine's Day. But how can Jack possibly take any credit? He never sets foot inside Jabot (neither does Ashley) .... Ester really feels the need to explain her last name? Valentine - as in the holiday. Malcolm shoulda said 'Winters' as in the season. He certainly seemed interested when meeting Leslie (and since she and Sophia ARE the only two African American women in town .....)
