At the church, Lucy and her parents are all ready for her big day. And here's the seal, Billy points it out. Problem? Pregnant pause. We're all set - and sooo excited. Thank God for our beautiful Lucy.
In the church foyer, Jana calls Primrose. Pretending to be a pregnant woman in need of help, she needs help. 1 hour!? So soon? Yes - if you want help, you'll find a way. Vikki runs out - binky alert. Jana digging on out of the diaper bag, is praised. If only Vikki could help her with Kevin - the way SHE did with Billy. The Lord helps those who help themselves, Jana smiles.
Miss? Miss? Hello? Mike and Daniel creep in and find the Saskatoon motel room empty. Where the hell is she? Mike looks personally affronted.
Welcoming Kay to the church, co-Godfather Jack agrees that Lucy's a lucky girl - being a Newman and an Abbot; just like the company Tucker wants to start. Learning that Kay doesn't approve, Jack suggests they join forces. Alas, Kay won't hurt Victor - and if she thought Jack should be running Jabot, she'd have put him in charge years ago. Jack saunters off as Jill arrives with Collin (teasing that the sparks between her and Jack are the reason Murphy's not there). Kay's unamused - he's not feeling well - thanks for your sympathy. Jill giggles like a schoolgirl as Collin continues to tease. Arriving, both Tucker and Ashley snub Kay. Way to alienate your whole family, Jill taunts as she and Collin head inside.
Along comes Abby and Nick. Her position at BofN? Vikki said she'd be a silent partner. When has Abby ever been silent? She's no dummy - you need me to GET the company - and after that, don't bother you? It's not like that, Nick assures. Traci arrives - hoping the end of the lawsuit brings peace. She's happy for them all.
In sunglasses and a baseball hat, Chance calls Heather from CL's (we haven't spoken since the ... um .... fire). As he leaves a message, Heather's in Victor's office. She's to call a press conference - the announcement will be done properly. After Heather exits, Nikki blasts in - to convince him to go to the chapel. Come with me - for your daughter. Victor looks like she's asking him to go have root canal.
Victor's aghast - his controlling ass is gonna go see his kids who just sued him for 1.5 billion - for the pain they suffered because he's their father. There IS no more family. We will ALWAYS be family, Nikki insists - his attendance will melt Vikki's heart. She know how much he loves his grandkids When is a better time to make things right? What about ME being willing to invite THEM into MY heart, Victor speaks over Nikki (who leaves as Heather returns to say Victor will have full media attention this afternoon). First, Victor has things to take care of.
Daisy's stuff is here - maybe she knew a PI was onto her and took off. Mike's frustrated - this close to putting Daisy back in jail (and giving Lauren peace). Hmm - no crib, Mike observes. But don't worry - they'll find out what happened to his daughter. Walking in, Daisy's about to run out when Mike grabs her - not this time!
Traci has Lucy in her arms - the face of an angel. Jana must go get her camera. Billy's got his. Video? Collin's got that covered. Wonderful, Jana manages to smile (as she checks her watch). Aside, Jack corners Kay again - he and Jabot have the same heartbeat. Let's be partners. No, that ship has sailed - move in, Kay leaves Jack to eavesdrop as Abby whines to Billy (about her 'partners'). Whoa - Victor gave you BofN? Jack interrupts. As Abby scurries off, Billy confirms it will soon be a done deal. Yes, he's OK with it. Jabot is an ABBOTT baby - and Tucker's rockin' the cradle. Does Billy know about the merger? The Abbott's get nothing. Vikki's an Abbott, Billy reminds - and today is about LUCY Abbott.
Billy then joins Vikki as Jill holds Lucy - say Hi to Delia (who can't sit still long enough to come). Vikki again tears up (as she plans to get the kids together - including Reed). When Jill informs that Collin lost a child, he says that once you suffer that loss, you'll do anything to cover it up.
Kay clarifies to Ashley that her rescinding the offer to hold their wedding at the mausoleum has nothing to do with HER. She just can't condone Tucker's ruthless business tactics - and strongly urges her to reconsider this marriage. Are you serious!? Ashley balks. Kay's worried for Ashley (who wonders how it's possible that she's taken Victor's side over Tucker's).
Arriving quietly, Nikki's thirsty - so drinks. She's putting her flask back into her purse when Jill appears - what are you doing out here?
Locking the door, Mike interrogates Daisy (while Daniel hangs around looking awkward) - where's the baby? Will Mike promise to let her go? No - then Daisy's not talking.
The Christening's in THERE. Does Nikki expect them to bring it out to YOU? No need to 'fix her lipstick' - Jill figures it'll only get smudged while she's kissing up to Kay. Or maybe, you were .... waiting for Victor (who has a NEW wife and son). You can stand out here fluffing your hair forever. Always classy, Nikki stomps off.
Nick wants to get the company first - THEN discuss details with Abby later. Yes, of COURSE as a 'family'. As Abby sulks off, Jack questions Nick on Victor's next move. Not here, Nick leaves Jack wearing his usual 'foiled again' grimace. Tucker wants an update - are we any closer to getting BofN?
Victor alienated his children all on his own, Ashley defends Tucker. To hell with ethics? Kay reminds that John was a good businessman - who'd never approve. Maybe not - but he'd never turn his back, or sabotage Ashley's happiness. Her father was a better parent than that (Ashley could be insulting either Victor OR Kay herself).
Billy commands everyone's attention - time to help his baby say 'hello' to the 'big man'. Lucy in her arms, Vikki gushes about how lucky they are - and to have everyone gathered is the best gift in the world. Cue the ominous music - as Victor arrives.
Jack now holds Lucy, Abby at his side as the Reverend performs the ceremony. Jana whispers to Kay that she's not feeling well - she's going to go lay down. Reading a touching poem she found online, Vikki's smile fades as she spots Victor in the background. I am blessed, she concludes. The Reverend puts the holy water on Lucy's head. You're part of something special now. The Abbott, Newman and God's family, the Reverend says (as Victor looks on grimly).
Heather's stunned to see Chance on the CL's patio (is this a good idea?) Chance is sure people know he's alive - and is tried of being cooped up. So, he's not going back into the WPP? Heather's worried. Chance points out that she hasn't returned any of his calls since he told her he loves her. Who's safety is she worried about? His? Her own? Or is she afraid to admit she doesn't feel the same way?
Heather's personal life is taking a beating because she's working for Victor - she hasn't been avoiding him. Heather had to accept he was dead. Oh - and then there was .... but he's gone - and Chance is here - it's just US - tell me there's a shot. Needing to get to that press conference, Heather leaves Chance disappointed.
As photos and video are taken, Jana's absence is noticed (and explained by Kay). Jana IS indeed home by now - with a bag and on the phone begging Primrose to wait for her. Bloody hell, Jana runs upstairs with her bag.
Back at the motel, Daniel remains silent as Mike continues grilling Daisy - was the baby born here? Where is she? Was she a nuisance? Daniel finally speaks - is the baby in Canada? Mike has a Canadian Judge waiting to sign extradition papers. He'll be back with the paperwork and some Mounties. Keep an eye on her, he orders Daniel as he exits - and don't listen to her lies. Now alone, Daisy's puzzled - you didn't tell them you delivered the baby in GC?
You held our baby! Daisy reminds. Daniel didn't remember anything (thanks to her whacking him in the head and leaving him at the side of the road). WHY hasn't Daniel told anyone? He's pretending she was never born? The photos of her pregnant in Canada? Oh please - it's not hard to fake a pregnancy.
No, it's not hard to fake a pregnancy - as Jana's proving when she meets Primrose at her office/trailer. You're my only hope, Jana waddles inside.
At home, Billy reports that Jana's locked in her room - curtains drawn. Jill could lend a hand with babysitting (and Collin's great with kids). As Nikki's quietly lying to Kay (that she;'s attending AA meetings), Jill interrupts (which doesn't go over well with Nikki). But Jill wants to discuss Kay rescinding her offer to hold Tucker and Ashley's wedding at THEIR home. Is there ANY marriage Kay approves of?
Jack corners his sisters - to discuss Jabot (which Ashley feels is in capable hands; hers). Not for long, Jack announces that Victor's about to give the kids BofN. Ashley spells it out for a confused Traci - Jack's afraid Tucker and Victor's kids want to merge the company's. Interesting idea, Traci thinks. Not agreeing that they'll be cut out, Ashley claims Jabot will always have an Abbott presence. Yeah - and according to Billy, it'll be Vikki. Neither Ashley or Traci are concerned - and don't invoke Dad's name every time he feels short changed. Stop obsessing about Jabot. This feud took Colleen - Traci won't let it happen again. Dad put family before the business - wanna be like our father, then BE like our father once and for all!
Smiling, Vikki knows Nikki was responsible for Victor showing up. Good that no one else saw him (including Billy). And Billy better not hear Nikki say they're a lot alike (in wanting to protect Vikki). Maybe Victor's starting to come around, Vikki's left to conclude.
At the club, Heather's got the press conference ready to roll. Make sure my kids see this, Victor growls - they're responsible for what's about to happen. Alright, Heather scurries off to do the great man's bidding.
Jana's heard such wonderful things about Primrose - and so, is asking for help with her baby.
Daisy has no intention of going back to jail - or GC! - and won't tell them where the baby is! Daniel knows - because he's gonna let Daisy go.
On the patio, DA Walsh scolds Chance - then announces that Owen and the dirty cops took a deal - and are off to Walworth to do hard time. Chance is relieved; Heather won't have to testify. Yeah, but Walsh still worries about Chance's safety - how about a new town? Looking in at the TV (Heather on the air) Chance isn't sure what he wants to do yet.
Showing Jill, Collin and Traci out, Vikki thanks her for letting Lucy wear Colleen's dress. Kay, Nikki, Ashley, Tucker and the 3 Godparents remain when Nick reports getting a text message from Heather. All watch the TV - something doesn't feel right.
Victor takes to the podium - he created NE - with his blood, sweat and tears. Despite the economy, it's thrived. But - there's a time for change. (He can't say he lost, Abby and Jack snipe). Victor continues - he'll now turn his attention in a different direction - NE will soon cease to exist as one of the largest privately owned company's in the world. I'm taking NE public. Everyone at Vikki/Billy's is stunned. Son of a ...... He's rather sell than give us what we want ..... Dad just held a press conference to tell us to go straight to hell, Nick sums it up (as Victor glares smugly at them from the TV).
Next: I'm not trying to .... Go to hell Tucker - go to hell! Kay screams at her son (Ashley at his side) .... Primrose advances as if to touch Jana's belly - when's your baby due? Don't touch me! Jana leaps back ... Billy confronts Victor (still at the club) This is what I don't understand - why would you turn down an offer to keep YOUR company out of the hands of strangers?
My Thoughts: How did Mike and Daniel just open the motel room door? Don't they usually lock by themselves? Or do Saskatoon housekeepers also leave their utility carts (along with card swipes or keys) unattended? ... Nikki looks like she's wearing Easter inspired wallpaper. But why was Jill interrogating her? Good thing she didn't catch Nikki drinking (not that Victor would give a rats ass) - Jill WAS the one to tattle on Nikki last time she fell off the wagon ..... Jack has the same heartbeat as Jabot? Well, Jabot's an inanimate object - it has no heart (just like ole smilin' Jack) ... Why is everyone standing for Lucy's Christening? Don't guests usually get to take a seat in a pew? ... Given that the Abbott's are hosting the wealthiest people in GC, you'd think they'd do a bit more than invite everyone home for tea. Never mind the Colonnade Room - but can't they splurge and book the Founders Room at the club for some of Gina's famous lasagna? .... Ah ha ha! I knew Victor had something up his sleeve (that he wouldn't make it THAT easy for his 'greedy brats') ... So nice to see you again Reverend Fulton, Vikki ooozes (like she's in the front pew every Sunday) ... So Primrose's office is at a mini golf course? Billy's gonna have a real hard time convincing the authorities that he didn't know buying a baby wasn't the same as legally adopting one ... Poor Chance - not. Now he knows how Chloe feels .. Delia wasn't at the Christening because she can't sit still that long? For one - no one SAT down (as previously mentioned) - and didn't she learn to 'sit down' in preschool? ... Way to alienate your entire family, Jill crows (like she didn't do the same when marrying the stand up comedian she's constantly providing canned laughter for) - does she have to laugh at EVERYTHING that comes out of Collin's mouth?
