It's a fine evening for a stroll through the flowers - and a fine place to get married. Even better than the mausoleum (as there's no strings attached). Abby dawdles behind - more interested in texting. Jack pops up (as directed by Mrs Martinez). Oh - he didn't know Tucker was with them. Things aren't looking so good for Sharon, Jack apparently came to say.
In the interrogation room, Sharon flatly rejects Adam's idea (that she escape) - forget it!
On the CL's patio, Malcolm's working on the collection of memory cards - telling Phyllis not to get too excited - none of the video is of Sharon thus far. Having a wedding to plan, he'll have to turn the project over to someone else soon. Nothing will ruin this wedding. He's got a lot to make up for (like flipping out over Sophia keeping Cane's secrets). This wedding will be perfect.
Meanwhile, at the club's bar, Neil clarifies - his concerns have nothing to do with where the wedding takes place. Is Sophia SURE? She wouldn't have said 'yes' if she wasn't. Neil knows that people marry when they shouldn't all the time (like him). What is he trying to say? Neil's brother loves Sophia - Neil loves his brother - but - look at how Malcolm overreacted (it was harsh don'tcha think?). Neil doesn't HAVE 'an issue'. He'll support the marriage if it's what Sophia really wants. But - it's not too late to change your mind.
Also at the club, Mike's seated with Victor and Diane when Kyle comes along wanting someone to come check out the 'killer' game in the games room. Victor busy, Diane heads off with Kyle (who then happily greets Nick; his big brother ... step brother - whatever). Pretty weird huh. And as Nick squirms, an unimpressed Victor watches like a hawk.
Summer running after Kyle (to the games room), leaves Nick uncomfortable with Diane (and knowing Victor won't like it, tries to send her back to her husband). Diane figures they'll run into one another - everyone should relax. But no, it's isn't 'that easy' for Diane (who's really concerned about how Nick's doing). Victor continues to 'keep an eye on the situation' - then tells Mike that he's turning Diane's weaknesses (her recklessness) to his advantage.
Neil refuses to believe that Sophia's not having second thoughts (perhaps even subconsciously) - then denies he's trying to 'sabotage' the wedding. Sophia knows the history between Neil, Malcolm (and Dru). Can Neil look her in the eye and say this has nothing to do with what happened? Neil's feelings, his motives are irrelevant. How can he say that? Get real - look inside, and when Neil again questions whether she's ready to marry his brother, Sophia doesn't look so confident in her decision.
Back at the park, Ashley worries about poor Faith (if Sharon goes to prison). Nick's an awesome Dad, Abby gushes. At least he'll keep her safe from Adam (more than Tucker can say for Sharon). If only Sharon had listened to them (Ashley knows Jack thinks the same thing of her, re: Victor). It's not just Victor. Tucker chuckles at the insult. You're an ass - Ashley isn't amused. Off to make their reservation at G-worm, Abby can't join them. Jack has other plans too. Like what? Blow drying your hair? Ashley quips. Phyllis is back, Jack announces.
Still on the laptop at CL's, Malcolm inserts the next memory card (wondering why Phyllis is so determined to save Sharon). Phyllis just wants a good story. Billy summoning her away by text, she leaves Malcolm to work on it (before he passes it off to his forensics buddy). He WILL find something, Phyllis assures in parting.
Escaping just isn't something Sharon would consider. Not forever, Adam pressures - just until they prove her innocent. We'll both get arrested! Better than going to jail for 20 years (which Adam feels a real possibility).
Jack and Phyllis have a joyous reunion at RS (a busy place because their website is the go-to source for everything regarding the trial). Phyllis' lead in Thailand may just be the scoop of the century. But in time to save Sharon? Phyllis will know within 24 hours. Her lead's so good it could even stop jury deliberation.
Adam knows that prison's no place for Sharon - it's a brutal, ugly place. A Newman would be a walking target. Let me keep you safe, Adam pleads. No - Sharon believes the jury has reasonable doubt. Her next trial will go better (and Adam's not to take away her only hope).
Neil continues to badger Sophia - if she can't live up to the comittment, it will cause more pain. Sophia chuckles. Does Neil think he's THAT irresistible? Hiding his own smile, Neil thinks she'd be having the same doubts (without him). Sophia agrees - she would NOT have acted on them - it's not like she used Neil (who's not SAYING that). If the truth ever came out ... It'll never come out, Neil assures - he'd never hurt his brother like that. Sophia's not happy that Neil wants her to walk away from Malcolm (and the life they plan) AND him (and the family she's sacrificed for). Would it be more convenient for Neil if she left GC? Malcolm returns to interrupt Sophia's tirade. Uh oh - what'd you do now bro?
In front of the revolving door, Nick informs that Faith's with Vikki (but misses her Mom). Diane thinks it good that Faith has good role models. She'll need that if .... And she has you, Diane knows Nick will make his daughter's hopes and dreams come true. Summer coming along, Nick follows her out (leaving Diane to lead Kyle over to Victor). Diane's dropping Kyle off - then meeting the contractor at G-worm (where Victor announces he's off to as well). Mike's left to comment that Diane's conversation with Nick seemed harmless enough. Yes, and Victor intends to keep it that way.
Abby, still on her phone, bumps into Victor and Mike. Stood up, she invites Victor for a drink. No? Not even 5 minutes for your daughter? You know where to reach me, Victor informs Mike (then ignores Abby as he strolls out). Snubbed, Abby hopes Mike won't tell her 'you reap what you sow'. Stubbornness runs in the family - but if anyone can wear Victor down it's you, Mike leaves Abby to pout.
At the bar, Malcolm knows by Sophia's 'look' that Neil better just apologize (don't matter what you did). I'm sorry, Neil obliges. See? He feels terrible, Malcolm wants to make wedding plans. And when Sophia tries to get rid of Neil, Malcolm assumes he still disapproves of the wedding location. Reminded that he offered his full support, Sophia intends to hold Neil to it. Of course - whatever you need, Neil smiles as he exits (leaving Sophia to apologize - but sometimes Neil gets on her nerves). Not buyin' it, Malcolm wants to know what's REALLY goin' on.
Dinner? Phyllis can't - due to Mommy/Summer time (before she goes on her Spring trip). Jack will give her a raincheck - one more day apart will make it hotter when he finally gets Phyllis alone.
At G-worm, Tucker and Ashley exchange unpleasantries with Diane. Sending Tucker ahead to their table, a condescending Ashley tells Diane that there IS life after Victor. Why, she's happier now than ever. The reality doesn't measure up to the fantasy. Victor's all about himself (and Nikki) Instead of waiting for Victor to dump her, Diane should make herself free for someone who's emotionally available. One more jab and Ashley clip clops off - leaving Diane to mull it over.
Oblivious to his fiance's nervousness, Malcolm assumes she's pissed that he bailed on making wedding plans (but it's not fair to take it out on Neil). Phyllis needed him for a dire emergency (regarding the trial) - but Malcolm's back; forever and always. Rewarded with a hug, Malcolm wants Sophia to come to him if anything's bothering her. We should never keep secrets from one another.
At CL's, Neil's so busy flashing back to sex with Sophia, that he doesn't notice Leslie's approach. Yes, he's alone - and would like her to join him 'very much' (though his smile seems to take great effort).
Abby joins Ashley and Tucker at G-worm after all (claiming her meeting was rescheduled). Daniel? He's with Lily tonight. Yes, they're friends. They were married - very briefly. Abby thinks it a good sign when exes can stay friendly. How about you Tucker? You friends with any ex lovers? Ashley's scolding tone sends Abby scurrying to the bar for a drink. Following, Tucker gets an earful about Abby's show; which will be back on track once she gets her Dad's money). Tucker has a way to speed the process up and profit - sell stock options to HIM; the ones Brad left her - for 50% over share price. watching Diane flounce back to her bar stool, Abby flashes back to busting her at Tucker's. No thanks - Abby can't do business with someone she doesn't trust. Taking a seat beside Diane, Jack grumbles about his future brother in law. Make it a double, Diane updates that Victor's on his way.
At the tackhouse, Nick's helping Summer pack for her trip when Phyllis arrives - then looks suddenly serious when Nick offers, then fetches her a beer.
Adam continues to pitch his run Sharon run campaign. But no, she won't leave Faith (after missing the first few years of Cassie's life). Faith can't grow up wondering where her Mom is. Adam's sure he can help Sharon (but she must trust him). No - Sharon doesn't want to be saved - not like this.
After performing a nice bit of parenting, Phyllis sends Summer up to get Mr Ears. Nicely done, Nick praises as he hands over a beer (which reminds her of them celebrating meeting a RS deadline). Nick also compliments RS's coverage of the trial (objective and 'fact based'). That won't change with me back, Phyllis assures. Nick appreciates it - for his kid's sake.
Jack's had a disappointing enough evening already - but hearing that Victor's in a bad mood (after working on the IPO all day), decides to stick around. And when Victor arrives, ole smilin' Jack'd be happy to buy him a drink. Why is Jack grinning? Because he's happy to hear that Victor was in meetings all day - over taking his company public. We can see each other at the stock holders meetings, Jack taunts (making it clear that he'll be buying NE shares). Don't hold your breath, Victor leads Diane off. Now seated, Victor can't leave his wife alone it seems. Yes, she IS capable of a lot of things (which he will NOT allow). This is about me talking to Nick at the club, Diane sulks.
Is there anything left for Malcol- m to do? Yes - forgive me, love me, make me your wife. Easily done, Malcolm smiles. It won't always be easy - but when it's not, Malcolm wants to be reminded of how damn lucky he is. What's wrong? Why is 'baby' crying. I almost lost you, Sophia sniffles in his arms. Malcolm wouldn't let the best thing that's happened to him get away. We'll learn from our mistakes - be stronger because of them.
Mike arrives on the patio. Frustrated, he leaves yet another 'call me' message for Phyllis. Spotting Neil and Leslie, he wonders 'how long has this been goin' on'? Judge Phelps would be fascinated to learn of Leslie's relationship with a key witness in the arbitration. Leslie stops Neil from defending himself - to imply that Mike knew HIS key witness was lying. Mike's retreat leaves Neil impressed with Leslie.
Sharon's sure everything will work out. But Adam wants to prepare for the worst. Time's up, the guard announces. Please - reconsider, Adam whispers before leaving Sharon to think.
Tucker and Ashley on the dance floor sends a nauseated Abby to join Jack at the bar (how do I stop this wedding?). If Jack could control Ashley, she wouldn't have married Abby's father. We can't do a damn thing, both make faces as they drink.
Diane insists she didn't plan to bump into Nick - it was perfectly innocent. Who the hell do you think you're kidding? Victor snarls.
Phyllis rubs her sore neck - until Nick takes over the massage. I should go, she suddenly decides. Nick points out that she hasn't finished her beer. On cue, Summer comes down. And as she and Phyllis exit, Phyllis looks back in at Nick - who stares back (looking equally perturbed).
Next: Adam confronts Victor in the interrogation room - I'm amazed you'd show your face - trying to ease your guilty conscience? ... How do you know Daisy isn't coming back? Phyllis grills Daniel (as the Baldwin's listen) ..Are you Gloria Bardwell and Chloe Mitchell? two officers come to G-worm. You're under arrest.
My Thoughts: What's up between Nick and Phyllis? (so to speak) .... Oh yeah - Faith's got a real good role model in Vikki ... Where are Tucker and Ashley getting married - that the flowers are in full bloom already ... Malcolm has a wedding to plan? Which of the details has he been assigned? Him saying that nothing will ruin his wedding is a good indicator that it'll be anything BUT 'perfect' ... Sophia looked disappointed that Neil said he loved his brother - not HER .. If Neil loves his brother so much, why can't he keep his hands off his fiance? Sophia needs a better poker face if she plans to keep her romp with Neil a secret. The double entendres need to go too - how many times can they causally throw in the words 'deep inside'? ... Since when does the GCAC have a 'games room'? .. Line of the day goes to Ashley (teasing Jack about blow drying his hair) ... Yes - Diane and Nick DO live on the same property. But WHY? Victor wasted no time firing Nick from his job - what's his delay in evicting him? ... Sharon wouldn't be safe in prison - because she's a 'celebrity'? .... How is it that Sharon's permitted visits from someone who's out on bail? Sharon's 'followed the rules' (look where that got her). Huh? How is getting an illegal passport and trying to jet off to Thailand 'following the rules'? ... Oh yeah Abby - it's a GREAT sign when the person you're dating is still friends with their ex? Or it's a great sign that they're gonna cheat. It's refreshing to see a woman that secure in her relationship - but Lily IS a beautiful young widow ... It was a long time ago - very brief, Ashley manages to make Lily and Daniel's marriage seem very insignificant. How 'long ago' can it possibly be? Have either Daniel or Lily even hit 30 yet? How many 'brief' marriages has Ashley had? ...Nice that Abby's show will be back on track once she gets the money her Dad OWES her (cause she's so deserving of the 500 million - after all her years toiling at NE) ... The background music at G-worm always brings to mind a Bond movie ... How observant of Nick - to spot Phyllis through the window (in the dark no less). Too bad he didn't spot Victor through that same window (when he was kissing Diane)... How could Diane NOT have shut the condescending Ashley up (as she blathered on about how happy she is). Diane shoulda told Ashley that she's well aware of how emotionally 'available' Tucker is ... Leslie did a great job in shutting Mike down today. Does he really think Judge Phelps would give a rats ass that Neil and Leslie were chatting over coffee?
