Strolling around the living room with Matty, Lily mopes about missing Cane - wondering if he visits Matty too - or is she crazy? Either way, it's past time she went to visit Cane.
Seated with Leslie at the club for lunch, Neil's been invited for several reasons - she enjoys his company - and finds him quite attractive. Neil adds to reasons of his own; this feels good - he's curious as to where they go from here.
A complimentary buffet of fresh fruit is wheeled into the honeymoon suite in St Bart's. Sophia instructs Malcolm to get change for a tip from her purse - then looking nervous, pulls money from her pocket and shows the waiter out. Baby? You got something you wanna tell me? Malcolm, EPT box in hand, asks Sophia (who's expression says - 'not really').
Back at the club, Neil reminisces about Sharon (whom he knew since she was practically a kid). Victor looks like he'd been hit from a train. Yes, he imagines Victor still feels betrayed. Spotting Adam, Leslie rushes over to offer a hug (Neil joining her to offer condolences - we'll all miss Sharon very much). Bag over his shoulder, Adam's booking a suite (unable to stay at Sharon's). You won't have to, the DA arrives on cue (with an officer to arrest Adam - for aiding and abetting a felon). Don't say a word, Leslie will meet Adam at the station. Good luck buddy, Neil chimes in - then assures Leslie that they'll pick up where they left off later.
At the tackhouse, Nick apologizes for not being home for Noah - he flew home as soon as he could. Faith's with Nikki, Noah informs (sure she's picked up that something's wrong). Offering food (which Noah declines) Nick updates that Adam lead him and Phyllis on a wild goose chase - while Mom was .... I can't believe she's gone, Noah bleats ~hug~
Stay away from me, Sharon tries (and fails) to look menacing (despite the pitchfork aimed towards the man before her.
You think you might be pregnant? Sophia rattles off reasons she hurled at the wedding - nerves, a 24 hour bug. She didn't want to say anything til she knew for sure. Take the test - we could be pregnant! Take it NOW! Malcolm all but hops up and down.
Lily calls Neil requesting a favour - come watch the twins so she can run an errand before her appointment - now. No problem (since Neil's suddenly free).
More man-moping at the tackhouse; Nick doing his best to make Noah feel better. Noah's sad for Faith (who's too little to remember Mom - or even know she fought in court to see her every day (which he doesn't blame Nick for). He's pissed - at himself - for telling Mom she let us down. Nick disagrees - his visit to the court house made Mom very happy.
At the station, the DA knows New Mexico was a prearranged rendezvous for Adam and Sharon. Over Leslie's protests, a teary eyed Adam 'confesses' - he went to St Marten to get away - then to New Mexico (after Sharon called him). But, by the time he got there, she was gone.
I'm not gonna hurt ya, the man has a cell phone in hand - to call the Sheriff's office (she IS trespassing in his barn after all). Sharon was just passin' through - got lost hiking. In those shoes? Let's go inside - get her sumthin to eat (then on her way). I don't have anywhere to go, Sharon admits.
Waiting for the test results will be the longest 5 minutes of Malcolm's life. Yeah, mine too, Sophia's less enthusiastic.
At Lily's, Neil walks Matty around - moping about those who're gone; Dru, Cane, Sharon. But the twins give all hope and the strength to carry on. Babies are a gift from God. Grandpa loves you very much.
Lily slowly approaches the gravestone of Ethan 'Cane' Ashby. But why does she keep expecting to see him - feel that things aren't over? She then bends down to pick up a handkerchief (wrapped around a Paris keychain, a figurine of Humphrey and Gemini; the twins, necklace).
Nick and Noah visit Doris (who regrets not calling the police when Sharon showed up). We ALL made mistakes, Nick consoles - but 'this happened' because of Sharon's own mistakes.
Sharon needed time away - to think - she'll be going now. The nearest town's 10 miles away, the man knows she's on foot. Attending to a yew about to give birth, the man orders Sharon to grab his bag off the front porch - now!
Someone made the fake ID - got the car. Sharon's escape was carefully planned. Couldn't be Adam, Leslie defends - he was being interviewed on camera. We would have disappeared, Adam reasons. It's not about what the DA believes - charge my client or release him, Leslie snarls. Free to go, Adam's not to leave town. An officer then comes to announce that there's a problem with Sharon Newman's remains (released from the medical examiner).
The DA announces a mix up in New Mexico - the body was cremated before it was shipped. You can't confirm her identity? Leslie and Leslie are told that Sharon's purse was stolen before the car caught fire - but here's her fake passport, license (and the engagement ring). The cause of death is consistent with a car accident - same height and weight as Sharon. I saw the body, Adam volunteers. The DA 'accepts' the ID - the coroner can release the remains - but to next of kin, NOT Adam (who grumbles to Leslie - they don't care - there must be something we can do).
Mentioning that she needs to make 'arrangements', Doris relays Adam's visit. He loved her alright - he loved her to death. Noah gets a call - the coroner wants to see him about Mom's ... about Mom. With kisses, Nick assures they'll be back to help figure out a way to say good bye to Sharon.
Back in the barn, Sharon hands over the bag - then blankets and towels (from what seems to be some type of bedroom). Next thing ya know, she's cradling a swaddled baby yew - hearing that Sam 'Doc' Gibson's a vet. You want ME to feed her? Sherry Coleman's now shown how to bottle feed a yew.
Still at the station, Leslie's on the phone with Neil. Reporting that her client's grieving - but not in jail, she wants to pick up where they left off. Babysitting, Neil invites Leslie over (then tells Matty she'll like the lady he THINKS he's dating).
So? We pregnant or not? Malcolm eyes the test - we're having a baby! Embracing Malcolm, Sophia looks terrified - flashing back to her night with Neil. Aren't you happy? Shocked - and Sophia won't let Malcolm tell anybody - let's keep it our little secret.
As Lily's wondering if Cane left the items for her, Lily's approached by a woman who can see she's in great pain (from losing her husband) - and thinks she can help.
How did you know I just lost my husband? Judy Dorsey has a gift - and was drawn to the aura around Lily (who's husband is right here with her).
Having peeked in on the sleeping twins, Leslie tells Neil she's starving. So's Neil (who goes to whip something up) ~kiss~
Sophia looks nervous as Malcolm calls Neil (to check in - and to blurt out that Sophia's pregnant). Neil's shocked - gimme some details. Handed the phone, Sophia confirms 'it's true' - but isn't sure when the baby's due. Malcolm hanging up to go celebrate, Neil pastes on a smile for Leslie.
In the barn, 'Sherry' really enjoyed the 'extraordinary experience' - and is invited to stay in the room in the barn; it's a good thinking spot.
Still at the station, Adam flashes back to happy times with Sharon - then tries again to claim her remains. Nobody else cared about her. However, the glares on Noah and Nick's faces say otherwise.
Guess they'll have to exchange the champagne for some sparkling cider. With a kiss, Malcolm goes to fetch his camera (giving Sophia time to pout).
Back at Lily's, Leslie asks if this is Neil's brother's first baby. It's complicated - this is the first time Malcolm's known he's having a baby.
At the club, Judy wonders if Lily feels Cane's love. Yes, it's possible she's seen and heard him. Handling the items, Judy doesn't get anything from them. Lily gets a feeling of menace. Judy only feels love from him - the menacing feeling is something Cane wants to protect her from (maybe the person wearing gloves - who's now putting a photo of Samantha on Cane's head stone).
As Noah fills out paperwork, Adam appeals to Nick (who says Sharon's mother and son will 'handle this'). No - Adam can't be involved. He then offers Noah condolences - she'd want me included, he insists. Before leaving with his Dad, Noah digs into the envelope and returns the engagement ring (to remind Adam of what happened to his Mom).
Sharon agrees to stay on the room - just for tonight. Long as ya need, Sam offers.
Next: What does Daniel say about this? Chloe asks ... Kevin doesn't care - he needs to find his niece. Do you trust Daniel? Vikki asks Abby (who smiles but doesn't answer) .. Lily - I mean you kept Lucy's identity secret because you thought it was best for her. Daniel's struggling - it just keeps getting harder and harder to keep quiet.
My Thoughts: If Lily's so curious about the trinkets left beside Cane's grave, why not have them dusted for prints? Maybe they can be tracked down (the way Vikki's pen was tracked to Dubai) ... What part of 'I want to keep it a secret' did Malcolm not understand? Didn't he just take a vow to honour and respect his wife? (not that she deserves his respect) ... Nice choice of footwear Lily - who wears high heels walking their baby around the living room? ... Why is Neil so friendly with Adam all of a sudden? Not only was he close to Sharon - but he was even closer (at one point) to Ashley. Plus, Leslie's 'client' wasted NO time having him fired from NE when he took over for Victor .... Everyone's been 'throwing' food at Noah? Poor kid (I envision him ducking dangerous asparagus spears etc.) ... Of course Nick's gonna do what he can to make his grieving son feel better - but HOW could Noah's jail visit possibly have 'made Sharon happy'? when Noah made her realize she'd let her kids down? ...Say what Noah? I don't recall Sharon 'fighting in court to see Faith every day'. Nick never restricted her visits (albeit they were supervised); he encouraged them. Sharon never even petitioned to go to family court, there was NO custody hearing ... Given the DA's suspicions towards Adam, why on earth would he let him know details of the 'mix up' - or that the body's too burnt to be ID'd? Shouldn't he be keeping all this info confidential? .... Doris claims that Adam was the one who told her about Sharon? Since she didn't break down - or fire questions at him, I assumed she'd already heard (it WAS all over the news already) ... That baby yew looks remarkably clean considering it's a newborn. Speaking of clean - Sharon's engagement ring looks like it was just polished (not like it was pried off a burnt body).
