Strolling through the park, arm in arm with Tucker - awaiting the wedding planner, Ashley hates to admit it - but their wedding will be a happier occasion without Abby there.
A hungover Abby grumbles about being summoned to Jack's 'at this unGodly hour'. She's been too busy (shooting her show) to return his calls. Sorry to hear she broke up with Daniel, Jack announces his with Phyllis. When a grim Billy joins them briefly, both wish they could help. If he can think of anythin', he'll let em know. The Abbott's don't seem to be doing too well in the relationship department. Actually, that's what Jack wanted to talk to Abby about.
On the CL's patio, the subject quickly turns to Lucy. Daniel just wants the DNA results - to get her out of foster care (and back with the Abbott's). Phyllis isn't so sure he can give her up.
Nikki calls to update Victor (who's support Vikki could use) - as Diane listens in. At home, and looking like hell, a moping Vikki gets a supportive hug from her sympathetic Mom.
Back at the ranch, Diane wishes Victor would talk to HER. It's a family matter, Victor dismisses her offer (then dismisses her again when Mike arrives). Victor then quickly gets to the point - Mike's not to 'negotiate' for Phyllis (against his daughter).
When Vikki expresses concern for Lucy, Nikki encourages her to reach out to Billy (not shut him out - as Victor does to her). Vikki appreciates the effort - but wants to be left alone (so she can mope over Lucy's blankie - and memories of naming her).
Back on the patio, Daniel denies he'll be 'taking care' of Lucy long enough to bond - or love her. Phyllis cautions him not to make any more commitments to the Abbott's. Sure, she feels sorry for them - but Lucy belongs with 'us' (isn't the universe sending the same message?) Do NOT let this chance slip through your fingers, Phyllis implores - for Lucy's sake - and Daniel's.
This isn't about 'sides', but an innocent baby, Mike points out that an agreement has already been reached. But, with CPS involved, Victor thinks that meaningless. Once Phyllis gets her hands on that child, she won't let go - and if Mike enables that, basically, he's fired. The choice is his.
It's smiles all the way around - when the wedding planner joins the 'happy couple'. Oh yeah - they're ready alright.
Jack tries to convince Abby to attend her mother's wedding. To that 'skeazeball' who won't make her happy? No thanks, Abby will pass. And when Diane arrives, she can't WAIT to hear what she has to see her Uncle Jack about.
A framed photo of Vikki in his hand (and a song called 'Shelter' playing), Victor tears up. Vikki weeps too - phone in hand, she contemplates calling Billy (who's also about to call her - but doesn't). On the patio, Daniel's too deep in thought to think about calling anyone.
Phyllis thanks Mike for meeting her (at G-worm). He knows he's not there to discuss Kevin - but her fight for custody (or rather - Daniel's). Phyllis is stunned to hear that Mike can't represent her - as of now, he's no longer her attorney.
No, 'Tuck' doesn't have any more questions for Jen - he's good. Delighted to hear that Tucker's hired the New York Philharmonic to play at their wedding, Ashley wonders what else the two have arranged behind her back.
Abby doesn't buy for one minute that Diane's there to discuss Kyle - privately. Good chatting with you, Abby lies - then leaves.
Phyllis NEEDS Mike - so does Lauren - to keep this custody matter quiet. She can't believe he's picking his boss over her. Daniel DOES want to be a parent - he'll bond with Lucy! Phyllis can't let Daniel make the same mistake SHE did. Mike doesn't want to hurt anyone. Except ME, Phyllis sniffles. Sorry - but Mike feels it best that Lucy stay with the Abbott's. Mike leaving, Nikki approaches Phyllis (and gets some harsh words - it's the Newman's fault that Mike's not helping her son get his daughter back!).
When Billy shows up at the doorstep, neither say a word - as Vikki catapults herself into his arms for a clinging embrace.

When Diane suggests Kyle spend a few more nights at Jack's, he knows she's hedging her bets - trouble in paradise? I'm a good mother, Diane insists in tears - but things aren't going well. I feel lost, she whimpers. The other night ... was great - but Jack can't solve Diane's problems with Victor. Go talk to HIM.
When Nikki drops by the ranch - to report that Phyllis is upset, Victor's glad to hear Mike's taking the Newman's side. You did this for Vikki, Nikki knows.
Releasing Billy, Vikki observes that he looks tired. Cause Billy was up all night worrying about Lucy crying etc. Vikki too - the foster family don't know what she likes. They didn't even take blankie. What if Lucy feels abandoned? Billy's sorry - he wanted to be with Vikki last night (and she knows she was wrong to throw him out) ~hug~
In front of the fountain, Jenni gives last minute instructions - as she runs off to take care of other business. That leaves Ashley and Tucker to practice their vows. Ash will start with her first impressions of him - jackass. Good - Tucker was gonna toss out 'aloof' and 'condescending'. Ha ha - just kidding ~kiss~
At the bar, Daniel scolds Abby for letting Tucker get to her - causing her to have a public fight with Lily. His problems (LUCY'S problems) are a much bigger deal than a grown woman having a melt down over Mommy marrying someone she doesn't like. Needless to say Abby's not impressed with his lack of sympathy.
Arriving at G-worm, Jack hears Phyllis on the phone - hoping Leslie can beat Victor again. Yes (she tells Jack) she IS really gonna fight Billy for Lucy - with everything she's got.
Vikki smells the baby scent on the blankie. Never mind the courts and CPS - she's scared of the only person standing in their way; Phyllis (who has a blood connection to Lucy). Yes - but fate gave Lucy to US - she's meant to be OUR daughter, Billy assures. Bring it on Phyllis, Vikki smiles weakly - the universe is on our side.
Nikki wonders if something can be strong yet fragile at the same time (that something being the Newman family). Thanking Victor (for calling Mike off), Nikki should be going. Don't, Victor stands to kiss her.
More kissing at the park - and mushy words from Tucker to the 'darlin' he's been waiting his whole life for ~kiss~
Abby's indignant that Daniel seems to think she's a spoiled brat - forget you. Now completely sober, Abby's 100% sure they're OVER (and so packs up and marches off to prove it).
Still at G-worm, Jack finds it funny - he and Victor on the same side - Phyllis on the opposite. Who'da thunk that possible? Jack feels she's wrong - to take Vikki and Billy's daughter. She's my son's, Phyllis thinks Jack should understand. Yes, Jack fought for Kyle - but let Diane take him - because it was best for him. Good luck - you're taking us ALL on, Jack leaves.
Mike arrives at the Abbott's - to tell them in person that he's not representing Phyllis (for which The Abbott's are glad). Mike hopes Lucy comes home soon. Now alone, Billy thinks things are falling into place already. As long as they get Lucy back, it doesn't matter if Victor's behind it (as Vikki suspects).
Horrified to see Victor and Nikki making love in the bed she shares with him every night, Diane's not too distraught to snap a quick photo (then slip back out unseen).
Next: Daniel's baby is none of your business, Phyllis stand to leave. Sit down. You're not walking away from me right now, Nick protests ... I still want him, Nikki tells Kay. Deacon? No, Victor ... Jack warns the Abbott's - when Phyllis is like this you should prepare for all out war ...
My Thoughts: Yes Billy - people adopt every day - but not many of them get the kid within days - or pay 2 million .... Jack thinks that Diane wanting him to spend more time with Kyle is a sign that there's 'trouble in paradise'? Yeah - cause her showing up at HIS place naked except for a coat wasn't a clue .... What exactly makes Phyllis think that Daniel would be a good father? He doesn't have much of a job - or an apartment ... Of COURSE Mike would kowtow to TGVN - choosing to kiss his bosses' butt over helping out his BFF. But - did Phyllis even pay him a retainer? ... Where exactly does Tucker expect the New York Philharmonic to set up? The public park - or the reception in the Abbott's pint size living room? ... Those familiar with HGTV's 'Flippin' Out' will recognize 'Tuck' and Ashley's wedding planner as Jenni (Jeff Lewis' rappin' sidekick/assistant) ... Whatever happened to the fun and flamboyant Laird Worthington? ... Good thinking Diane - though I can't imagine what she plans to do with the photo (make it into a jigsaw puzzle perhaps? Like Kay did when Jack cheated with his stepmother Jill?). It's not date stamped so she can't use it in divorce proceedings (as she can't prove it wasn't taken years ago - when Nikki was married to Victor). Hard to feel sorry for her (since she just slept with Jack) - but - it is disgusting that Victor took Nikki to the bed he shares with Diane. You'd think Nikki might have suggested another bedroom (of which I assume the ranch has oodles of) I guess that's what Nikki had in mind when she talked about someone 'blowing' on the Newman family .. Speaking of bedrooms - why is Billy thanking Jack 'for the bed'? Isn't the Abbott mansion as much his as Jack and Ashley's, who both live there? ... Ashley and Tucker joke about saying 'those things' in front of ALL their friends and family? WHAT friends and family?.... Good God - someone please give Vikki a hairbrush! Poor Lucy's not gonna recognize her when/if she comes back ... Why is Abby so suspicious of Diane visiting Jack? They DO share a child .... Why is Daniel's DNA test taking so long? Everyone else gets same day results (delivered no less).
