Sam and Sharon coming in from the storm, Piper awakens, delighted to see they found Fanny. Not eager to go home, Piper wants to stay there - just like 'Sherry'.
Lacing up, Diane's left a pot of soup on the stove for Adam. She's willing to pitch in but doesn't respond well to barked orders. Adam's not sure his rent free guest should be flexing her muscles just yet. Snarling that he's only got her there to stick it to Dear Old Dad, Diane rejects Adam's attempts at humour - then goes for a run.
Traci returns to Memorial with some clothes for Abby. With Jack, Ashley's stressed about Tucker and the Detective. On Victor's advice, she's hired Mike.
Looking out his window, an unimpressed Victor watches Diane pause her run to stretch.
In Tucker's room, Sophia at first sounds disapproving that Tucker's on a feeding tube - but then hugs Kay - weeping ' thank you!'.
Having 'a moment' (seeing Abby in a hospital bed a devastating reminder of Colleen), Traci excuses herself. Now dressed to leave, Abby's badgered by the Detective (and is quickly horrified that she thinks Ashley ran Tucker over on purpose).
At Tucker's bedside, Sophia raves about the force of nature he is - then sharing how they became coworkers, tells Kay that she and Tucker have a father/daughter relationship. She was supposed to be at his side as he married Ashley.
Still having her moment, Traci rejoins Jack and Ashley (who realize how hard being there is for her). Declining seeing a doctor herself, Ashley will be fine - once she hears Tucker's OK. And while Traci's left to worry about Ashley's health, Jack's worried about who's running Jabot. WHAT!? Jabot's your priority!? Not a priority - but Jack MUST protect his father's legacy.
Adam declares the soup amazing - as Diane comes in for more banter. She believes in full transparency. She'll cook - only because she likes to. And how will Kyle fit into their 'arrangement'? Tonight's her night. Fine - as long as he doesn't make a mess - or give attitude. The more the merrier (though Adam's awful at video games). When Diane answers the door to Victor, Adam mutters - head explode in T minus 3 ... 2... Hey Dad! How are you, he happily skips over to the door - meet my new roommate, both grin at Victor.
Still in Abby's room, the detective is told that Ashley's head over heels for Tucker. The vandalism charges are a non-issue - Tucker made those go away. He was headed to a bachelor party! Abby's getting annoyed. No - Ashley wasn't going to confront Tucker - this was MY fault (Ashley arrives to hear).
Abby confesses she set up Diane and Tucker's meeting - there was nothing between them. As the detective sums it up, Abby takes her Mom's advice (and won't answer any more questions without a lawyer). Guess we're done then, the detective leaves Abby to babble apologies to her Mom - she didn't want anyone to get hurt. Finding Tucker in bed with another woman wouldn't hurt!? Ashley's been blaming a man who could DIE - because of Abby's lies! I don't know who you are anymore! Abby loves her Mom - anything that happens to Tucker is all her fault. Ashley orders her NEVER to accept blame for the accident - do you understand me!?
Sophia gives Tucker an impassioned speech. She's got business covered - but ONLY until he's back in control - soon. You HAVE to be! Neither she, or his mother are going to let him go!
Jack needs to rally around Jabot - it's about family. No - Traci thinks it about his obsession. Jack talks of Ashley's new product line; a game changer. Traci talks of Colleen's death - don't you dare try to try to justify your ridiculous goal of being a big man at Jabot! she runs off in tears, leaving Jack to ask Kay about Tucker - if there's anything I can do (like help out with Jabot?). Jabot's the furthest thing from Kay's mind.
As the storm continues to rage outside, Sharon and Piper fuss over Fanny. Have you ever lost anyone you love? Piper brings a frown to Sharon's face.
This is a stupid game, Victor's sure they'll both live to regret. Diane's not supposed to be on the property. Adam reminds that it's HIS house - and he wants Diane there. Stay for dinner? You're really something, Victor scoffs at Diane's bed jumping (and how it effects Kyle). FYI - her relationship with Adam is ..... Fabulous, he interrupts (throwing his arm around Diane). Speak to her respectfully, he orders. Thinking Adam's ONE redeeming quality was his affection for Sharon, Victor can't believe he has another woman in HER house, HER bed. He's sure Adam will grow tired of Diane - just as he, Jack and Nick did. Oh yes - Victor knows all about Nick (which causes Diane to wonder if that's why Victor married her). You'll never beat me, Victor warns - no one does.
After Victor shows himself out, Diane's spitting mad - HE was the one rolling around in the barn - he manipulated me into marrying him! What a bummer - no seconds with beefcake Nick, Adam chuckles at the 'poor waif' - then encourages her to get even - and her best shot is here (with HIM). Victor can do no more than gnash his teeth when you say 'howdy neighbour'. Thatta girl. Diane in agreement means operation 'head explode' is on.
Back in the barn, Piper's sorry she asked Sharon if she ever lost someone. It's OK - she HAS lost someone - more than once, and it helps to talk about it ~hug~ Sam returns to report that Piper can spend the night. And as she goes to get Fanny some water, Sam claims Piper doesn't just hug anyone like that. Well - neither does Sharon (who's lucky to have met her).
When Kay returns, Sophia has business to tend to (but doesn't look at all happy when Kay puts an end to a deal Tucker had given the go ahead on).
Arriving at Memorial, Victor gets an update from Jack (who once again works in the business angle). Hopefully Tucker has someone in place to take over his empire - someone who can protect the vulnerable companies. Oh no - not Jabot. It's not vulnerable, Jack states. Not yet, Victor puts a 'uh oh' frown on Jack's face.
In Tucker's room, Victor hugs Kay. Worried about Abby - and Ashley too, both think it absurd that Ashley would intentionally hurt Tucker. Arm in arm they head out. Ashley creeps in shortly after - hi honey. A guilty Abby watches through the window.
In the lounge Jack whines to Traci about Victor (the vulture). All he has to do is wink at Kay to get Jabot. It's crucial that he talk to Ashley about protecting their father's legacy. Don't go to her? Jack's supposed to go behind her back? Abby then runs sobbing into Traci's arms - she told Mom she did something horrible (and made everything worse). Wahhhhh.
Enjoying more soup (a bowl full of love - or in this case, strictly platonic), Diane's off to pick up Kyle. How about some gas money? Sure, but Adam's taking her to the gas station (not handing over his credit card). And off the roomies go.
Sam declares Fanny 'just fine'. And now it's time for bed. Sharon invites Piper to stay with her (who then invites Sam; who'll stay until Fanny falls asleep). Kid sure knows how to get what she wants, Sharon agrees - but doesn't mind at all. She likes having Sam around.
Back in the lounge, Abby confesses to Traci and Jack (that she tricked Diane and Tucker - to get Mom to back out of the wedding). If she hadn't done this, Tucker wouldn't be near death. I was trying to protect Mom! When Victor wonders what's wrong, Jack interrupts Abby's confession (which earns him a disapproving look from Traci).
In tears, Ashley apologizes for Abby's actions - but she's my child - I can't let her go to jail. Kay creeps in to hear Ashley apologizing for doubting him. If she could go back, she'd do things differently. Ashley hurrying out, Kay's left to hold Tucker's hand - as she blathers on.
Abby declines Victor's offer to stay at the ranch (so she can stay with her Mom). Of course Kay cares about Tucker, she's his mother, Victor leaves Abby to look guilty again. In the hallway, Victor gets a call. It's been done? Good.
At the guardhouse, Frank won't let them pass. Reading the paperwork, Adam tells Diane that Victor owns the property surrounding his. He'll need to drop in from an airplane to access his house. Victor owns the driveway!
Watching Piper sleep, Sam thinks Sharon has the maternal thing down. Some kids make it easy, Sharon replies.
Sophia, Kay and the lawyer are in Tucker's room when Victor's invited to stay. The lawyer explains that Tucker's given Kay full control of his business and personal affairs. He's also designated 20 million stay in reserve - in case the son Tucker never found ever comes forward. What!? Tucker has a son? All are shocked. I'll be damned, Victor sums it up.
Traci can't condone what Abby did - but knows she was trying to protect her Mom. Be strong - and forgiving, she encourages. Abby wouldn't blame Ashley for not forgiving her. Jack approaches Ashley - bad timing - but how about he takes Jabot off her plate? Ashley doesn't know whether to laugh or slap him. What's gotten into you? Traci scolds. All are then horrified when the detective returns with cops - to arrest Ashley!
Next: In the interrogation room, Abby points out that Ashley could go to jail for the rest of her life .... Kay expects Sophia to respect her wishes (as she's sure Tucker would) ... Abby talks to Mike - this is MY fault - what can I do to make this right???
My Thoughts: Adam doesn't have ANY cash onhand? Not even a $20 he can throw Diane for gas? Even she didn't have the nerve to ask for a 'full tank' .. Sharon likes 'having Sam around'? That's nice - considering it's HIS barn ... What? having put a roof over Diane's head, now Adam's expected to pay her day to day expenses? Will he buy her cosmetics and tampons? Does she not have a contract with Victor for the architectural work she's been doing for him? (not that he can trust her to continue with the renovations anyway) ... Diane believes in 'full transparency'? I guess that's what she's doing when seducing men dressed in nothing but an overcoat .... Oh - if the detective looks familiar, it's because she was in the TV version of Fame (playing Coco - the role made famous by Irene Cara) ... Wait til Jack finds out that Diane's living with (and plans to expose Kyle) to Adam. Maybe he and Billy can get a two for one full custody suit discount .... If I have to hear about Jack's father's legacy one more time ..... Abby thinks Tucker having a bachelor party is 'old school'? Does that mean they're no longer en vogue? .... I actually like the chemistry between Adam and Diane. LOL at her stretching right outside Victor's window (like she's a regular jogger or sumthin'). And note her stumbling over her lines (she'll cook from time to night ... time) Guess she's winded from the jog .... Yes Piper - 'Sherry's' a woman you wanna be 'just like' ... Victor's a fine one to disapprove of anyone's bed hopping effecting one's child (since Kyle could have easily have walked in on him on top of Nikki in the bed he shares with his Mom) .... All the annoying detective has to do is check chest bruises on Abby and Ashley - to determine who was driving the car that ran Tucker down ... Why didn't she just insists on Ashley and Abby coming down to the station. Who gets arrested at a hospital? ... Traci wheels in a suitcase for Abby (who for some reason thought she'd be going home in her 'hideous' hospital gown) - but why couldn't she bring something for Ashley? .... Tucker has a son? What a shocker. Even more shocking - spoilers indicate it's DEVON! How could someone as rich as Tucker NOT be able to find his son? ... Traci in from New York, you'd think Victor might seek out and have something to say to the woman who's responsible for his new heart ... What's the problem Adam? You're rich now. Build a heli-pad and access 'your house' with a helicopter. And if he really wants to make Victor's head explode, why isn't he playing heavy metal music at high decibel? Or erecting overly bright tennis court lights (to aim into Victor's windows) .... NOW Frank the security guard's paying attention? Maybe he'd have been nicer if Diane gave him some soup (as she threatened to).
