At Tucker's, a weepy Ashley talks to framed photo of her and her would be groom. Who knew Abby was so far gone? No one CAN know - even if it means everyone thinks SHE ran him over *sniffle* Ashley's sure Tucker would understand - if he had a child.
In Tucker's hospital room, Paul updates Kay that Tucker's London attorney's are pulling anything pertaining to his son. A key to Tucker's place? Sure, Kay has one - and off they go to search for clues.
Home with a birthday cake for Nikki, Billy does his best to reassure a depressed Vikki. Arriving with flowers, Nick's updated (and looks mighty ticked off that Phyllis' blog is responsible for Daniel and Lucy moving out).
Ignoring Nikki's plea that he leave, Victor sits on the bench beside her. She's mortified and sorry. He's supportive - it's a disease Nikki can't stop on her own. Victor will get her the best professional help available, be with her every step of the way - and here's a hug too. Really? Nikki sobs on is expensive suit.
In Lily's room, Devon questions this drastic move - and is told that Lily hasn't been completely honest with him (about how screwed up she is).
An agitated Cane wished he'd told Lily the truth (as he trusts his wife). Oh please - Genevieve scoffs - Collin would have found out he was being conned all along. Of course Lily couldn't keep the secret of seeing Cane - she's terrified (he defends Lily). Stick to the plan, Genevieve insists - Cane must protect his kids from being kidnapped by Collin.
Boy, do I have plans for YOU, Collin's on the patio; Charlie on his knee. Serving drinks, Jill's thrilled about their trip to the zoo - and apparently doesn't hear the ominous music - or see the menace in Collins' eyes (when he says - these grandkids are our immortality).
At the Abbott's, the subject is the unpredictable Phyllis (whom, because of Lucy, they'll be tied to - like Nick is; because of Summer). But today's all about Mom - let's see what her plans are - now that she has her life back on track.
Planning to pack up and send Nikki off to the best facility, Victor's told about the party (and thinks it a great opportunity to tell the kids - together). No, Nikki's not a mess - she's beautiful, Victor assures with another hug.
As Ashley packs in the bedroom, Paul and Kay arrive at Tucker's - to find whatever info Tucker has on his son; ideally his or the mother's name. Tucker has a son? Ashley appears to blurt out.
Ignoring Ashley's question, Kay doesn't think it appropriate that she's in Tucker's home - since she was charged with attempted murder. Ashley would never intentionally hurt Tucker - and maybe she can help in their search. Paul chimes in that Tucker may have told Ashley something. No, Kay knows Ashley's in the dark too (which she confirms). No, Tucker never mentioned a name from his past (which leads Kay to believe Tucker didn't entirely trust Ashley).
Victor and Nikki arriving at the 'party', clever Nick detects something's wrong. And with Victor's encouragement, Nikki admits she's been drinking - and is going back to rehab.
Lily spills all to Devon - even how she brought the twins to the cemetery. When Cane started showing up at home, Lily knew it was time to check herself in. As she's had no 'visions' since, Devon suggests she's OK now. Things will get better, he promises ~hug~
Lily will recover and forgive you - once she realizes Cane had no choice. In good time, she'll be told that it's Caleb who died in her arms. Good thing Genevieve came to GC when she did - and Caleb got to him before she did. Flashback to Cane meeting Caleb - warning him to stay away from Lily. Dad wants ME to raise the kids, Caleb announces - then knocks Cane out. Realtime, Genevieve scoffs that Caleb thought he was so smart - getting to that wedding - almost comical that he walked into a bullet. She has no delusions about Caleb (rebellious since childhood, there was never any good in him).
Billy, Vikki and Nick are proud and in full support of Nikki (who has reason to celebrate today - the family continues to come together in times of crisis).
Ashley turns it back on Kay - if Tucker didn't trust the women in his life, perhaps it's because SHE abandoned him. How disappointing that the woman who's known her her entire life has no faith in her. Considering Ashley's history, Kay needs more than her word. You think I went nuts - and ran Tucker over?! Kay must protect her son - just as Ashley would for Abby. Kay concedes it must be difficult for Ashley - but she must stay away from Tucker (and his affairs).
Off to handle some business, Collin, the 'doting grandfather' assures Jill he's not like this with all kids - he just can't get enough of THESE two.
Planning to have Collin arrested as he tries to kidnap the twins, Cane worries he'll get away with it. No - he needs 'Caleb's help, Genevieve smiles confidently. This is HER game we're playing, not his. Flashback to Genevieve 'finding' Cane (who awakens to find himself tied up) - then told that Blake shot Caleb - thinking he was Cane. Realtime - Do you remember now? Yes - but Cane won't use his kids as bait.
Nikki's candles blown out, Billy and Vikki take the cake to the dining room - while Victor excuses himself to take a call from the facility's director. That leaves Nikki and Nick to share how grateful they are that Victor's 'taken charge'.
Back to Genevieve and Cane (who questions why she'd put her family, the twins, at risk). They're NOT at risk - Collin sees them as his legacy. No - there must be another way. Genevieve lists all that transpired after Cane tried to get his Dad convicted in Australia (see where THAT got you?). Getting Collin convicted in the States will prevent the Aussie organization from getting involved - and Lily's safer in the hospital than at home. Besides, it's just for a few more days.
Delighting Lily with photos of the twins trip to the zoo, Collin talks of how they loved the kangaroos and koalas. Lily'd love to show them where their father grew up - and Collin will do anything to make that happen.
Served a huge chunk of cake, Nikki's pleased that Vikki will be in Billy's capable (and loving) hands. Victor returns to announce arrangements have been made. The jet's ready - and he's going along to ensure Nikki gets settled in OK.
Sneaking into Tucker's room, Ashley hopes to meet his son - guessing he's smart, handsome and tenacious. If he can hear what's being said (about her) it's not true. It's OK that he kept his son a secret - she has her secrets too.
Back at Tucker's, Paul relays that per the London lawyers, the first mention of Tucker's son (in paperwork) was 20 years ago. Rummaging through paperwork, Kay finds part of a letter. '.....You will never see your son'. Paul has Kay carefully slip it into an envelope - to be sent to a forensic lab. And now she's heading back to Memorial - to tell Tucker that the search is under way.
Well - if Cane doesn't want to go along with genevieve's plan, his option is to tell Lily about the organization - and give his kids the same childhood he, Caleb and Samantha has. Knowing cane loves his kids too much for that, Genevieve suggests Cane use this gift (Caleb's ID) and protect himself and his children. OK - Cane will go along - but if Lily and the twins are in danger, all bets are off. Knowing Cane also wants to protect Jill, Genevieve is hurt that he replaced her.
Jill wheels the twins out of the patio - off to see Grandpa Collin - I bet he has a surprise for us.
Lily admires the photos - Mommy's gonna get better real soon *sniffle* I'm coming home to you.
In the park, Collin hands a man photos of the twins - needing two Australian passports. They better be good - he doesn't want any trouble getting them out of the country.
Kay's at the nurse's station - as Ashley leans over to kiss Tucker. The monitor starts beeping. Oh God! Someone help! Something's wrong, she calls for a nurse - please hurry!
Next: You're going to get through this - OK? Victor encourages Nikki (in what appears to be her new room) ... Billy's annoyed with Vikki - Are we really at that point where we have to wonder whether we're gonna make it or not? ... Ashley's flanked by Jack and Mike (who assumes his client is free to go). You assumed wrong - the DA (and cops) are there to arrest Ashley.
My Thoughts: Oh Cane - so noble. I will NOT use my kids as bait (but I WILL gaslight their mother) .. Ick - Tucker may have been photographed with many women, but how would his mother have any inkling of how many he's slept with? .... And if Tucker's as 'rich and famous' as Paul makes him sound, why don't heads turn when he walks into local restaurants etc.? ... Where did that ripped up letter come from? From what I recall Yolanda (Devon's mother) wrote - but never sent it) ... Good thing Ashley's not a 'betting woman' - cause she bets Tucker's son's a lot of things - but left off a couple that might surprise her ... Of COURSE Tucker and Ashley aren't going to discuss their past relationships (they'd have no time for anything else - AND Tucker would know that a large percent of Ashley's husbands/lovers end up dead). Has the self righteous Kay told Murphy about every single one of her relationships (including her brief fling with a woman?) .... Good thing Billy 'triple checked' the spelling on Nikki's birthday cake. His great journalistic editing skills are really coming in handy. But since only the three of them are at this party - which is all about 'Mom' - how difficult would it be for the cake decorator to spell 'Mom' ... Good thing Billy's got a supportive brace on his wrist - could the slab of cake on Nikki's plate been any bigger? And since Victor's taking her on his private jet, could she not have stuck around to eat it? (not that I imagine she'd have much of an appetite. Perhaps a rum cake would have been more appetizing - or some sherry laced English Trifle) ..... If Victor wants to 'help' Nikki, couldn't he have stopped off at a store to buy a toothbrush and hair brush? Or at least wiped off her smeared make up? .... How did Ashley manage to sneak past the guard usually posted outside Tucker's hospital room - and why isn't there anyone standing guard outside his 'home'? Why hasn't ghost John climbed out of his heavenly tanning bed to come down and have a l'il chat with his dear old friend Kay? ... Nikki's feet showed absolutely no evidence that she walked through the park CARRYING her shoes. The park's ground must be immaculately kept - certainly cleaner than my floors (which is why I buy my kids black socks) ... Really? That's the 'home' Ashley and Tucker were gonna 'share'? Pretty small digs for such a wealthy couple. Ashley's bedroom at the Abbott mansion is likely larger in square footage than Tucker's entire office-with-a-bed-in-it. I guess they plan to dine out every night - can't see Ashley creating elaborate culinary feasts in that tiny wet-bar/kitchen... I don't find the couple's photo displayed on Tucker's desk particularly flattering - was it an artistic decision to cut off the tops of their heads? Or were Ashley's dark roots showing? It seems the focus of the shot is Ashley's sleeveless right arm (rarely a flattering spot on an older woman) Do they have similar poses featuring Ashley's crow's feet? Maybe the cellulite on the back of her legs? How about some wallet photos of Tucker's double chin? ..... Even if Collin managed to get the twins to Australia, does he really think the trio will blend in? An old white guy with two dark skinned infants? Exactly what 'potential' does he see in them? They do nothing but cry, drool and poo .... Come ON - the photos of the twins are nowhere near the quality required for a passport. They're way too blurry and dark. And wouldn't proof of birth in Australia be needed for an Australian passport? Why wouldn't Collin have taken the twins to a proper passport photo studio? Surely it wouldn't be the trickiest feat in his elaborate scheme. Ahhhh - details, details - no one but we fans seem to care much about em. For instance, according to the ticket Daisy had in her hand yesterday, she's traveling from Saskatoon ON to Genoa City WI. Which wouldn't be a problem except there IS no town of Saskatoon in Ontario. Saskatoon is located in Saskatchewan - some 2,930 KM's away.
