In the interrogation room, Ashley (in an orange jumpsuit), is relieved that Tucker's OK (and no foul play's suspected). Listing all Kay's actions against her, Ashley's stunned when Jack drops another bomb (offering Vikki HER job at Jabot).
What WAS Mom thinking? Judging by Abby's agitation, Mike assume she's heard (that her Mom's behind bars). This is such a mess, Abby frets - leaving Mike at G-worm, stunned that she has something more important to do (than 'strategize on the way' to the jail house).
At CL's, Lauren's talking Fenmore business - while Jill's distracted by her surprise plans for Collin; a cruise around Australia. Oh - there he is now! Lauren leaves Jill to announce the trip she booked (which Collin doesn't appear thrilled about).
As Genevieve's removing sheets from furniture in the home of her flashback's, 'Ethan' arrives - no more lying to Lily - no more revenge (against his father). This stops now! Cane's going to see his father? Crazy talk will get him a room right next to Lily's, Genevieve warns.
Having just given Daniel full custody of Lucy, the Judge is annoyed that he wants to immediately give her to the Abbott's. She needs to hear 'a lot more' before she approves this adoption.
Back at CL's, Kevin tells Lauren he's off to court. She just hopes Phyllis drops this plan to bring Daisy back to town. Both she and Kevin want this over. Until the adoption's finalized, Lauren worries about Daisy's return.
Phyllis is stunned to find Daisy at the penthouse; hey Grandma! Not happy to see me? Daisy assumes the blog was an invitation - no?
Cute kid, Daisy remarks. See a picture of Lucy? Why not? Phyllis hands over her phone. Yes, she has Daniel's eyes. Phyllis then informs Daisy that Daniel has full parental rights (terminating hers).
As Kevin slips in, Billy's on the stand - telling the Judge about how depressed Vikki was after her miscarriage - how much she has to offer a lucky kid. That's when he hooked up with the baby broker. Everything looked legit. Did he ever doubt the legitimacy of the adoption? Billy knew he was 'cutting corners' but he didn't mean to break the law. Oh, how they love Lucy. And do the family's support the adoption? Vikki stands to confirm they do - they're Godparents in fact. And Mr Romalotti's family? Uncle Kevin interrupts to introduce himself. Yes - he has something to say - he never supported this adoption (Daniel and the Abbott's roll their eyes around and huff).
Ashley and Jack rant about Kay putting Vikki in charge of Jabot - especially with this new product line coming out. One of US has to be there. Meaning you, Ashley tells Jack to 'go for it' (she's got other things to focus on).
Handing Collin a brochure, Jill blathers on about the cruise. The best part? She gets to meet his family. You don't wanna go, she realizes. It's timing, Collin claims. But Jill hasn't even given him a date. Jill calling Lauren back - to finish their business, Collin leaves her to douse her disappointment with talk of Fenmore's.
Cane won't take the bait - he's got too much at stake. Genevieve understands passion - we're a lot alike - a good team. We made a deal that benefited both of us - nothing else, Cane won't let her pretend otherwise. If his Mom loves him, why hasn't he seen her since Samantha's funeral? Genevieve had to get away. You were NEVER around, Cane accuses. He has a new life - a new family - a new mother. Ouch - but Genevieve insists they're still a team - with a common goal; to take Collin down. And once he's caught in the act of kidnapping the twins, Cane plans to go back to all that matters to him.
As Billy and Rafe object, the Judge calls upon Mr Fisher to take the stand (on which he stuns the Abbott's by speaking on their behalf). Stop passing this little girl around like a football - she needs to go home - with her Mom and Dad.
Yup - just like that, Phyllis agrees (adding that Daisy abandoned her daughter and was gone for five months). If she wants to be in Lucy's life she'll have to fight a long list - including the State of Wisconsin. But why would Phyllis help someone who tried to murder her best friend? And what does Daisy need to do to get Phyllis' help. Turn herself in. Daisy laughs.
Back at CL's, Lauren asks how Collin liked his surprise. Jill doesn't wanna talk about it. He hated the idea. Odd - with all his talk of going back to Australia. Lauren offers some lame excuses (but sadly, Jill thinks maybe he just doesn't wanna go with her).
In the park, Cane (posing as Caleb) wants to get the show on the road. Collin's waiting for a phone call (and if he gets the right answer, he'll have the twins outta there tomorrow).
His forensic's team going over the car and accident scene, Mike wants to go over the night again (much to Ashley's annoyance). The tiniest little detail could have great impact. Ashley sticks with her story - Abby was passed out - it was NOT Abby! (who then arrives to speak to her Mom - alone). Fine - maybe you'll remember something that'll get you out of this mess, Mike leaves Abby to announce she DOES indeed remember something - SHE was driving. SHE'S the one who hit Tucker.
Ashley insists she WAS driving (and that Abby was passed out). But Abby knows she's lying to protect her - just like she did Grandpa. Oh, how selfless Ashley is. I almost killed the man you love - and Abby won't let her mother lie for her anymore ~hug~
Back at the park, 'Caleb's' annoyed when Collin implies he's not as compliant as 'good ole Cane'. Good ole dead Cane. Shut up! Collin bellows - then takes a call - what time? We'll be there. We're on for tomorrow, he tells 'Caleb' about a private airstrip - he'll get more info when he needs it.
Give you my kid and go back to jail? Yeah - that sounds like a great deal, Daisy scoffs. Phyllis has a plan - to hire Daisy the best criminal attorney - the jury drowns in it's own tears and she gets a light (or no) sentence. Daisy wants to see Lucy whenever SHE says. No - whenever Phyllis says. Let's not forget who's the Mommy and who's the Grandmommy. A deal made, Phyllis must first get Daisy's parental rights restored.
Waiting for the Judge to rule, Daniel and Kevin tap knuckles and make up. Yeah - we're cool. And when Mike arrives, Jack says he'd be proud of the way his brother came through. Humble, Kevin just told the truth (and thanked by the Abbott's, leaves Jack to ask Vikki about her new job). As she goes off to take a call from JT, Billy tells Jack that Vikki declined Kay's offer. Careful, you're drooling, he quips. All take their seats when the Judge returns to render her decision (in favour of the adoption). Oh, happy day!
After he and the Abbott's sign the paperwork, Daniel takes Lucy from Kevin - and hands her over. NOW it's official. Vikki thanks everyone (including Billy; for the happy ending). Having summoned Lauren to the courthouse, Mike tells her; it's over. In tears, Lauren's relieved - there's no reason for Phyllis to lure Daisy back to town ~hug~
At the penthouse, Leslie ends her call (having convinced the DA to allow Daisy to turn herself in). Walsh wants this conviction - Leslie will do her best - but Daisy must cooperate fully. If not, Phyllis will hand her over to the DA herself. Don't mess with me. Get over yourself, Daisy's hardly intimidated - you need me as much as I need you. Now, take me to see my daughter.
Continuing to argue, Abby can't promise her Mom that she won't tell anyone she was driving (then storms out).
Meeting Jill at G-worm, Collin apologizes profusely - it's complicated. His hesitation is due to unresolved tax issues. Certain members of the family are holding a grudge.
Cane reports back to Mom - Dad's taking the twins to Australia tomorrow. If we don't get the details, he'll take off with my kids. Good thing Genevieve HAS the details (having managed to 'clone' Collin's cell phone, she heard his conversation with the pilot). He's leaving from the airstrip at THIS estate (where he moved after learning Cane was in GC).
Of course Jill forgives Collin (who's now very much looking forward to taking his wife home to Australia with him).
Cane didn't realize the lengths Genevieve would go through to make her revenge happen. Oh yes, and she's been watching Collin closely for ages. She looks forward to being face to face with him (as much as Cane looks forward to being reunited with Lily). No, she doesn't love Collin.
Ashley pounds on the door - needing to call her attorney asap (to prevent her daughter from getting in trouble). The guard's not impressed with the Abbott name - in here, Ashley's just another prisoner. Now, back to your cell.
At G-worm, Abby tells the DA that she was the one driving. SHE hit Tucker, not her Mom.
The Baldwin's are so proud of Kevin. Let's throw a party - invite everyone (except Phyllis), Lauren suggests. Daisy's finally out of my life, she says yet again (as they go into the courtroom to congratulate the Abbott's). On cue, Phyllis marches in with Daisy and Leslie. Daisy's back, she announces the obvious - to get her parental rights reinstated (which horrifies all)
Next: Diane's seated with Adam on the patio - and sticking it to Victor is the ONLY reason? You think I'm crushin' on you? Adam seems amused by the idea ... Kay's at G-worm with Sofia - I'll be more than happy to accept your letter of resignation ... Mike holds Lauren back as she shrieks at Daisy (who's shielded by Phyllis). I will NEVER forget the look of evil in her eye! Lauren's hauled out by Mike.
My Thoughts: Odd that the Judge reviewed 'all the documents' - and OK'd the adoption (without having the Abbott home evaluated - without mention of Chloe's full custody case against Billy - or Vikki having lost custody of Reed) ... I hope Daniel kept the receipt for all those baby items he purchased (for the 2 days he had Lucy) .. Oh yeah Daisy - you're not the freak PHYLLIS made you out to be. I don't recall any of Daisy's heinous crimes being detailed in the blog ... Really? Genevieve managed to 'clone' Collin's phone? And I thought that was only possible with plants and sheep ... If Mike's forensic's 'team' bothered to check Ashley and Abby's medical reports, they'd surely know (by their injuries) who was driving the car .... Cane can go back to his new family? Does he really think that Lily (and everyone else) is going to just forget all the lies - all he's put them through - again? ... Odd that every prisoner at the county jail gets a brand new bright orange jumpsuit - they must throw em out when they get faded .... Too bad this miraculous new product is already packaged and ready for the store shelves - now Jack and Ashley can't even use it as leverage against Kay ... Who are you? The Judge doesn't recognize the infamous Silver Chipmunk? Aren't there cameras in the interrogation rooms? Wouldn't Ashley and Abby's entire conversation be recorded? ... Does Genevieve spend her entire day fluffing flowers? She sure didn't make much progress stripping the white sheets off the furniture. She's got nothing to sit on - yet all the candelabras are uncovered ... If Collin was living in that big 'estate' with it's own airstrip, why would he move into the mausoleum (owned by a woman who clearly loathes him?) Good thing he's never dropped by his place (he might notice all the fresh flowers in vases). Surely his private estate would be a better place to meet 'dead' people - and shady passport providers - than the public park ... 'They're' not telling Jack 'a lot' regarding Tucker? Why would they tell him ANYTHING? He's not family ... Why would Lauren and Jill be conducting business at CL's - when they've got a newly remodeled office at the boutique? ... Note how Kevin says he doesn't want Lucy passed around by a football - then passes her to Daniel - so he can pass her to Billy ..... Good that someone named Daisy can 'live' with the name 'Lucy'. Why would Daisy need to see a photo of Lucy on Phyllis' tiny phone screen - she's already seen a much better photo online (surprising Phyllis hasn't had any printed off and framed already ... Have a great weekend dear readers |
