Joining the 'delicious' Nick on the patio, a flirtatious Diane all but invites him to her suite - again. And hey, if verbal jousting gets him hot and bothered, she's all for it. Watching Adam make his way through CL's, Nick rejects his brother's leftover's. Did I hear my name? Hey Darlin', Adam acknowledges Diane as he pulls up a chair. Glad Nick's there, Adam (laptop in hand) has something for him to hear - about Sharon.
Oh Adam - you cleared my name. Reading the news online, Sharon's relieved; her kids won't think she took her own life. And when Sam pokes his head in, a guilty looking Sharon semi closes the laptop.
In the interrogation room, Abby informs Ashley that she went to the DA - and confessed.
Seated at G-worm, Sofia's annoyed that Kay wants to read over the reports she's handed over (while Tucker just signed off on them). Putting away the pen Kay pointedly ignored, Sofia passes Jack on her way out. Having witnessed the exchange, Jack makes a beeline for Kay. Having heard Vikki turned down the CEO job, it's a good thing he can start today.
The courtroom is in chaos. Daisy!? When Daniel claims he's the only one with rights to Lucy, Billy reminds that they've adopted her - it's over. Hands on her hips, Phyllis points out that with Lucy's biological mother back, it's NOT over. Selfish bitch, Lauren hisses in their direction.
The DA thought I was lying - to get you out, Abby wails. Ashley doesn't want Abby in jail. She loves her for wanting to protect her - but - you were drunk - you're memory's 'fuzzy'. Stop - Abby remembers what happened that night - and she'll tell every cop until she finds one who believes her.
You want me in charge, the over annunciating Jack tries to convince Kay (touting the 'history changing' new product line). Persistent? Why, Jack's passionate - and a loyal employee. Put me in charge. Kay needs someone WITH, not AGAINST her (like *cough* Sofia). Kay's promise to consider it, is enough to put a grin on Ole Smilin' Jack's face.
Leslie and Phyllis inform that Ms Carter is turning herself in. In fact Leslie's off to start that process - and the 'other matters' (reinstating her parental rights - and getting visitation - for Phyllis). Defending Phyllis, Daisy lists all she fought for before Lucy was even born). That proves she loves Lucy as much as anyone here. But when Daisy advances towards her 'beautiful' baby, Billy warns 'sweetheart' not to take another step.
Posting himself before the Abbott family, Kevin lists all Daisy's done (taking off to Canada etc.) Is this REALLY what you want?! No - it's what Mom wants, Daniel tells Daisy that Phyllis is using her (and will dump her as soon as she gets what she wants).
Back on the patio, Adam turns his laptop for Nick to see the headline; Sharon Newman's Cause of Death Not Suicide. Diane's pleased to see them putting aside their differences - working together for a common goal (which Nick sees as her annoying habit of making something out of nothing). Adam suggests they quit arguing - until they're neighbours again. Good luck with that, Nick marches into CL's - and Noah! Both are glad the truth is out (about Sharon's death).
Meanwhile, at the farm, Sam and Sharon have worked up an appetite - but Sharon's not hungry enough to eat at the main house. Sam's phone ringing - he's off to talk about a sick mare (leaving Sharon to return to her room - and laptop). Flashback to her spotting Adam at the fair (and happy 'what if' reunion scene). Alas, Sharon's weepy and alone - in a wi fi equipped barn.
In the interrogation room, Ashley hugs her sweet (and weepy) girl. No one's going to believe her silly story. In fact, it'll appear Abby thinks her Mom guilty (which'll be worse for her case). This sucks, Abby wails - I love you ~hug~ It's gonna be OK, Ashley consoles. She then gets a visit from Sofia (there to see for herself; the woman who put Tucker in the hospital - behind bars). Sofia was willing to stand up for them at the altar - but she won't stand over Tucker's grave. He's NOT going to die! Ashley barks.
Sofia's there - to understand how Tucker (a good judge of character) could fall for a woman who'd try to run him over. Did you hurt him on purpose? It was a horrible accident, Ashley's in tears. Yes, she loves Tucker very, very much. Taking a seat, Sofia's sorry - but oh, the stress (including Kay running Tucker's business into the ground). Ashley's not a big fan of Kay's either (and appreciates Sofia's loyalty to Tucker). Fight for what HE'D want. Sofia knows what Tucker would say - Darlin' get my fiance out of that cell.
Sharon continues to read the article online (including a quote from Adam - lambasting the unjust persecution of poor Sharon). She envisions another reunion scene at the fair - but in this one, Adam's arrested (for aiding and abetting a felon etc.) Well that's that - they're better off without me, she tells herself.
Seated at CL's, Nick updates Noah that Grandma's in rehab. See? Drama 24/7 in GC. But surprise, surprise - Noah IS gonna hang around. Nick's pleased he'll be there to tell Faith stories about Mom. Noah realizes he was a judgmental ass (which leads Nick to think he's now very mature). The young blonde joining Noah is introduced as his friend, Hunter.
Pulled aside by Daniel, Daisy expresses her wish to watch Lucy grow up. Thanks to her awesome lawyer, Daisy's confident she'll be 'out' before Lucy's walking.
As the l'il Abbott family file out, Daisy pouts that she didn't get to see Lucy up close. That'll change, Phyllis assures. Mike blows up at the redheads - what's the master plan? Does Phyllis expect 'this person' to get custody - then hand the baby over to her? Tell me you're not using this child as a bargaining chip! Phyllis' only concern is Lucy (growing up with the stigma of having a convict for a mother). Lauren jumps in - stabbing the air with her finger. You enjoyed torturing me! Hustled out by Mike, she'll NEVER forget the look of evil in Daisy's eye. NEVER!!!!!!
Hunter needed a change of scenery. Why Wisconsin? She heard this place has the best coffee? Refill? Hunter leaves Noah to insist that they're just friends. She's a bit young (and Noah's not really looking for a girlfriend) - but he thought she could crash at the 'campus house'. Being single's not so bad, Noah's decided.
On the patio, Adam catches Diane gazing at Nick. His vision might be bad, but he's sure he saw them having 'sexy time' last night in the suite. Diane's embarrassed - it was nothing - and we're only roommates, right? And when Adam reminds that their 'love story' is to stick it to Victor, Diane wonders if that's Adam's only reason for the charade. Adam grins - you think I'm crushin' on you? Well, he's not. Forget his grief? Adam doesn't want to - it's all he has left.
Closing the laptop, Sharon asks Sam how the mare is. Dead - oh gosh - terrible, Sharon looks heartbroken. That leads to a discussion of 'loss'. Oh no, Sam clarifies that his wife didn't die - she left him.
Returning to the court room, Leslie announces that she's filed all the documents - and arranged for Daisy's surrender (who's being handcuffed as they speak). And though Daniel clearly doesn't approve, Kevin's following to the station - to walk his sister to lockdown. That leaves Phyllis to lecture Daniel (who's proved he's NOT ready to be a father). You just let the Abbott's leave with YOUR daughter - YOUR DAUGHTER! Now playing the martyr, Phyllis talks of HIM despising her - taking abuse from her friends and family - to keep HIS daughter. I'm hooking up with a fugitive - FOR YOU!!!!!!!! She hoped to God HE'D have feelings like this - but here he is, staring at her - like she's someone he doesn't know. Hopefully, one day, he'll become the MAN she thought he was. THEN, maybe he'll understand .... Huffing in disgust, Daniel marches out.
Now home, the Abbott's wonder what Lucy's dreaming about - he good looking parents? Blah blah blah - there's talk of strolls in the park - balloons. Neither want to worry anymore. And Billy's learned one thing - that they belong together.
Rejoining Kay at G-worm, Sofia's not there about the paperwork Kay hasn't attended to yet - she's there to say that Ashley doesn't belong in a cell. Kay will tolerate Sofia undermining her business instincts - but she better not second guess her willingness to protect her son. Having visited Ashley, Sofia believes it was an accident. Tucker wouldn't want her rotting .... Enough - if Sofia finds it distasteful to work for her, Kay will gladly accept her letter of resignation.
Do I look OK? a churlish Abby's at G-worm to dine - ALONE. Maybe this'll cheer you up (Jack's boast that he's about to regain control of Jabot fails to impress Abby; who sneers that cheaters and liars DO come out on top). Excuse me? Abby now blames Jack for manipulating her into hating Tucker - and now he's bragging? Congratulations! she claps - you have everything - I have nothing. Jack takes a seat - half a billion's not nothing. And he's not to blame for Abby's misery. Start taking responsibility. Abby tried. Jack believes Ashley will be exonerated - believe it too. Tell Gloria that dinner's on Uncle Jack, he says with a parting kiss on Abby's forehead.
Knowing Tucker as well (and as long) as Sofia has - she can't comprehend why he put Kay in charge; guilt? sentiment? It sure wasn't respect for a formidable business rival! That does it - effective immediately, Sofia's on paid leave of absence. You can't do that ... Kay can - and did. Told she's lucky she's not fired, Sofia hurries out. Still standing, Kay locks eyes with Abby (who ducks her head and also makes a hasty exit).
Visiting Ashley, Jack updates that Kay's 'receptive' to him being CEO. Good - cause Ashley didn't bust her butt creating a new product line - for someone else to reap the rewards. When Kay fired her, it became the intellectual property of Jabot - which means the Abbott's will see nothing. Get control of our company, Ashley doesn't want Kay to see one dime of what she created. Do right by our family - don't fail!
Bringing out a bowl of baby food - with a lit candle in it, Vikki and Billy celebrate this special day; Lucy's officially theirs!
Phyllis sits in the courtroom - thinking alone - until Mike and Lauren return. Trust what I'm doing, Phyllis appeals to Lauren. Wasn't she able to put Daisy in jail before? Doesn't THAT give Lauren peace of mind? Apparently not - cause Lauren says 'We're done - no friendship, no bond, no going back'. And when Mike wordlessly follows his wife out, Phyllis is left in tears alone - while, in the hallway, Mike holds a crying Lauren.
The coffee is indeed 'delish', Hunter likes the vibe of the coffee house Noah's parents used to own. Yeah - his Dad 'dug' her - why wouldn't he? Good, Hunter wouldn't want to embarrass Noah - she owes him to much.
Approaching Nick, Diane's ready for another round. Nick not so much - he's not interested, now - or ever. On the patio, Adam reads the article, through his leaky eyes.
Sam explains that his ex didn't appreciate his devotion to the animals. He shoulda been more sensitive to her needs. But, what's done is done. As he hurries out, Sharon calls him back - she will join him for dinner after all. As they walk out, Sam's hand briefly lands on Sharon's shoulder (a gesture that effects him, while she doesn't seem to notice).
Next: Sit down Jack - things have changed, Kay orders .... What can I do for you? the scruffy carjacker from the fair is on Sam's doorstep. Handing over a photo, he's looking for a woman - you seen her around? ... Drink in hand, a confident Adam tells Diane - that SHE is going to help him kill Victor Newman.
My Thoughts: Noah thinks it OK to be single? I guess so dude - you're like a 20 year old rich musician (it's a bit different when you're old, untalented and broke) ... Huh? NOW Phyllis is 'doing it for Lucy' - so she won't have the stigma of 'having a convict for a mother'? But Daisy wouldn't BE a convict - if you didn't bring her back to town dumbass! Lucy would only have the stigma of having a 'fugitive' for a mother (which is no big deal - comparatively - especially if she's in the same class as Faith Newman) Besides - Lucy will grow up with VIKKI as her mother. Odd that Phyllis places so much importance on 'biology' - when her own son was NOT raised by his biological father (yet considers Danny his father) ...... 'Lord help me' - Sofia has the nerve to sound all righteous and holy around Ashley - which is pretty nervy for a woman who's carrying her brother in law's baby .... Boy - isn't the DA gonna feel silly - for not believing Abby's confession. But, why wouldn't he believe her? Surely the tantrum in the park proves her strong dislike for Tucker. Duh - Instead of sulking and whining, Abby should be putting her 'celebrity' to good use. Can't she just shed her dress and confess for the cameras? No need to knock on every cop's door - they'll come to YOU silly .... Nice - that Sharon's kids won't think she took her own life - guess it's OK that they grow up thinking she's dead. Nothing wrong with that. She is, after all, NOT being selfish. It's NOT that she's avoiding prison. Whoa noooo - it's just that she's got to find evidence - to clear her name - one of these days. Folding blankets all day is just the first step in Sharon's master plan. She can't possibly leave to find evidence now - not so soon after that poor mare died .... If Sharon keeps looking all ashamed - as she hastily closes her laptop, Sam's gonna think she's surfin' porn. I guess there's no need to delete the computer's history - since Sharon never leaves the room long enough for Sam to snoop around ..... That guard at county lock up sure has taken a dislike to 'Abbott' - perhaps she's not satisfied with her overpriced Jabot cosmetics? Maybe Jabot mascara gave her pink eye one time ... How exactly can a new product (or anything else) 'change Jabot's history' Jack? History isn't something that can be changed (unless you're a Y&R writer I s'pose) .... Ha ha - Phyllis shouted so hard in Daniel's face, his hair actually moved .... Oh - so Adam IS still visually impaired (though obviously not in need of a Braille laptop - as he's read the article many times - through his tears even) .. Nick doesn't want his brother's leftovers? He didn't seem to mind when the leftovers were Sharon? Was Diane more appealing when she was Dad's leftovers? ... Daisy merely returning wouldn't be adequate reason for her to regain her parental rights. Presumably, Rafe put a posting in the paper, advising Daisy that a court case concerning her was under way. Plus, Daisy DID flee the law - and Mike (when he tried to bring her back to GC). If she's going to prison, what would be the point of giving her custody? Phyllis shoulda just asked the Abbott's if she could take Lucy every other weekend or sumthin (an arrangement they'd already agreed to in theory - until she started acting out) ... Given the amount of former and current felons in the courtroom, shouldn't there be some cops monitoring the free for all? ... Tell Gloria that dinner's on Uncle Jack? Not sure the Bardwell's will go for that - Jeff usually scoops Abby's credit card before he'll even serve her.
