Abby's at CL's. So wrapped up in her own stuff, she now wonders how Daniel's doing (her calls going straight to voicemail). Since neither Kevin nor Chloe have heard anything, Abby will call Vikki - sure that no Judge would give Lucy to that criminal (oops - sorry Kevin). On cue, Daniel comes in. Lucy's home with my sister, right? Abby chirps optimistically. Daniel's silence indicates 'no'.
Sitting on a baby toy does nothing to improve Billy's mood (neither does a visit from Rafe - who can imagine the hell he's going through). Where's Vikki he wonders (while Billy's yet to utter a word).
Vikki races into the ranch; Daddy!? Nick updates that he's at the office. How'd it go with Lucy? I lost my baby, Vikki mopes in her brother's arms.
'We're home', Phyllis brings Lucy to the penthouse. No more being 'bounced around' - Lucy's home, where she belongs.
Kay's again at Tucker's bedside - updating him on the rumours about Victor. She's never been 'wishy washy' in her business decisions before - and it's all HIS fault.
Behind his desk, Victor's on the phone - impressed that the SEC are already launching a fraud/stock manipulation investigation (both felony charges). That should put a stop to Adam and Diane's celebration. Well done, Victor ends his call with Mike.
Drinking champagne at G-worm, Adam gives Diane credit for a job well done. Assuming they don't mind him joining them, Jack pulls up a chair and calls out for a glass. As Diane squirms uncomfortably, Jack thanks Adam. Oh, you didn't tell him you tipped me off? Jack feigns innocence.
What's next? Rafe's sorry - but there's nothing more they can do. Downplaying his purchase of Lucy (which he's tired of defending), Billy compares it to the long list of Daisy's crimes (unable to believe she's able to decide Lucy's fate). The court won't support you in this, Rafe concludes forcefully. Great - Billy's lost his daughter (and probably his wife).
Back at the ranch, Nick lends an ear - and holds the tissue box (as Vikki shares her regret over blasting Billy). She had to get out of that house. How will she explain this to Reed? When JT finds out, he'll want Reed sent back to DC (she can kiss shared custody good bye). Offered Nick's full support, a grateful Vikki is sure she and Billy will work it out. They then discuss the rumours of Dad's death (and how it effected the stock).
Jack throws Diane under the bus even more. She didn't TELL him the info - she SOLD it to him. How very enterprising, Adam deadpans. Jack's just grateful to both of them. Amazing scheme. Adam sure has come a long way since the diary. You learn well grasshopper. You really stuck it to the old man this time, Jack praises.
Victor calls Mike again for an update. Two large buys were made when the stock hit rock bottom. By who? Stay on it. Mike's to call Victor on his new cell phone.
At Tucker's bedside, Kay ponders why he put her in charge of McCall Unlimited. Did he know she'd agonize over every detail? Last night, she knew what to do - but wasn't so sure this morning. Never the less, he put her in charge - so, by golly, she's taking charge. Tucker better not give her any grief when he wakes up (which Kay pleads with him to do).
Diane and Adam remain silent when Jack greets Victor (who's sauntered over to their table). Good to see you - we were worried. Victor shoulda known Jack was involved. But all Jack did was buy at the right time. He now owns a good chunk of NE (and Victor can't do a thing about it). Right, *I* can't, Victor looks like he has something up his sleeve.
At CL's, Chloe, Kevin and Abby can't believe that Lucy's now with Phyllis. Kevin's got issues with Billy - but he and Vikki are good parents. Chloe blames Billy - he started all this (but Abby and Daniel blame Phyllis).
Nick drops by the penthouse. You won - are you happy? As Lucy fusses in her arms, Phyllis IS (happy that Lucy's with family). And as Lucy cries, Phyllis has tried feeding her etc. Nothing helps. What'd you expect? She doesn't know you - she needs her mother. Hi baby girl - we're gonna have so much fun, Phyllis chortles to Lucy.
Now home, Vikki implies she's there for Reed (who'll be home soon). No worries - Billy's packed his bags (which surprises Vikki).
Billy woulda been gone already - but Rafe came by. He'll get the rest of his stuff later. And where's he going? The club maybe. Does it really matter? No - Vikki guesses not. OK - Billy will get the hell out of her way then.
Nick greets Super Girl - and Phyllis has something to tell Summer; Lucy's living with us for a while. Isn't that neat? No - she doesn't belong to Aunt Vikki and Uncle Billy - she's Daniel's daughter. Then why isn't Lucy living with HIM? You're MY Mommy. Of course silly - but Lucy's gonna hang out. Oh, the fun they'll have.
Well, Kay's got business decisions to go make. Wake up and stop me. Getting no response from Tucker, Kay quips - don't say I never gave you the chance (then pauses expectantly at the door for a moment before leaving).
Oh dear - leaving so soon? Jack chides Victor (who marches over, take out in hand, to warn that Mike's talking to the SEC; who will then see HIM tomorrow). The next bottle of champagne comes over - compliments of Victor (who knows how they like to celebrate pulling one over on him). Drink it fast - tomorrow's a day of reckoning, a confident Victor exits (leaving Diane the only one looking terrified).
Chloe figures that today's hearing should make it easier to get full custody of Delia. You're still doing that? Talk about kicking a guy when he's down, Kevin clearly disapproves. Billy's irresponsible and reckless - and if Kevin doesn't like it - too bad! Chloe marches out. Apologizing to Daniel and Abby, Kevin can't blame Phyllis (for Chloe overreacting). He then leaves Abby to offer Daniel apologies and understanding. Daniel's sorry too - he shoulda told her about Lucy as soon as he knew (maybe things would have turned out differently). And as Daniel goes for a refill, Abby calls Vikki - is there anything she can do? Billy coming down with suitcases, Vikki hangs up. Door open, Billy stammers ... Vikki ... I ... bye. Bye, Vikki's left to whisper to the empty room.
Back at the penthouse, Nick doesn't understand why Phyllis is wrecking so many lives. Summer will be fine, Phyllis is sure she'll adjust. Unsympathetic upon hearing that everyone (including the Baldwin's) have turned on her, Nick points out that Phyllis teamed up with the psycho who tormented Lauren. She tried to kill me too, Phyllis reminds - but Lucy deserves to be loved. She WAS - by her parents; Vikki and Billy. It's not about THEM, Phyllis has no regrets - it's about Daniel and Lucy. Ashley was a fantastic mother - why'd you take Faith away from her? Phyllis has no doubt Nick would do the same for Noah.
The bubbly flowing, Adam and Jack toast NE - may it live long and prosper. Diane's the only one worried - about the SEC (and Victor). He won't let us get away with this.
Abby's relieved to see her father alive and well at CL's. Who'd make up such cruel lies? When you're rich and powerful, everyone wants to bring you down, Nick appears to announce (then stuns Victor with the news that Vikki lost Lucy to Daisy). Adding that Phyllis now has custody, Nick doesn't think she realized what she'd taken on. Feeling badly that he wasn't with his daughter (when she needed him the most), Victor now has another reason to loathe those who 'messed with his company'.
Vikki puts a brave face on for Reed when he comes home (immediately wondering where Lucy is). Perching him on her lap, Vikki tells Reed that Lucy isn't living with them anymore - she's with her first family. No - she's not coming back. But - she'll always be happy and healthy - with people who love her. Vikki doesn't have an answer ready for Reed's next question; where's Billy?
Creeping into Tucker's room, a guilt ridden and weepy Abby claims that the horrible things that happened today - happened because of lies. Taking a seat, she needs him to know something; it was me *sniffle* I did this. Sorry - I'm so sorry. Get. Better. Please - please.
Tossing another 'dead soldier' into the ice bucket, Adam and Diane leave Jack to finish his champagne. Pausing at G-worm's door, Diane assumes Adam's furious (that she blabbed to Jack about his plan). Doesn't he have ANYTHING to say? Well played, Adam smirks (much to Diane's relief).
Passing Adam and Diane, Kay's finally managed to track Jack down. She's made a decision about Jabot. Appointed CEO,. Jack nearly chokes on his gratitude - she won't regret it. Declining a celebratory glass of cider, Kay tells Jack to 'enjoy'. Retaking his seat, Jack's on top of the world - wow!
Nick finds a depressed Daniel on the CL's patio. Rough day, he understates. Nick's not happy with Phyllis either - but it's a big adjustment for her too (and she's alone). She shoulda thought about that before she alienated half the town, Daniel doesn't need his mother. If Nick wants to feel sorry for anyone, he should feel sorry for Lucy (and Vikki).
Back at the penthouse, Lucy continues to fuss. Picking her up, Phyllis insists they're gonna have 'so much fun' (though neither appear to be having any now).
Chloe returns to Kevin - with caramel popcorn (his favourite right?). Kevin's impressed that she went all the way to Lake Geneva - apology accepted. And Chloe will think about what Kevin said (re: Billy). Maybe he's not the worst father in the world ~kiss~
Billy orders Tequila at Jimmy's. Leave the bottle, he quickly downs his first shot.
Meanwhile, Vikki and Reed get a visit - from Grandpa! Reed sent off to wash up, a teary Vikki can't bear an 'I told you so' from Victor. That's not why he's there ~hug~
Next: Billy moved out, Vikki informs Chloe (who can't believe he'd leave her at a time like this) ... Mike assures - there's a weak link out there. This time Victor wants to make sure Adam Wilson goes down ... Adam tells Diane that he's clear with the SEC - her and Jack, not so much.
My Thoughts: Sorry gang. No time today - I'm late for a gripping soccer match. Have a great weekend!
