Vikki's still picking up toys - and sniffing Lucy's blankie when Chloe drops by. Expressing sympathy and support, Chloe's been rethinking her custody case (and is there to discuss it with Billy). Hearing he moved out, Chloe shakes her head (assuming the 'moron' left Vikki - at a time like this). Now Vikki shakes her head (when asked if she knows where Billy is).
At Jimmy's (to pick up the books - for taxes), Kevin scolds Billy - the 'drunk fool' (who apparently slept in the corner of the bar).
In the barn, Piper grabs a rake (to help Sharon push the hay around). Wow - this place is cleaner than she's ever seen it. 'Sherri's' just 'earning her keep' (lest she get thrown out). Sam would never do that - he'd let you stay forever. Right Doc? Piper chirps merrily.
In his office, Victor greets Gus (the SEC agent who once worked for him). Pleasantries out of the way, Victor, Mike and Gus take a seat. It's made clear that Victor's going after Adam (then he'll deal with Diane and Jack). The charge? Stock manipulation.
In the suite, Adam gives Diane a large envelope stuffed with wads of cash. Diane's suspicious - he's being waaay too nice (and not furious over her tipping off Jack). Adam then drops the bomb; he's in the clear with the SEC - her (and Jack), not so much.
Back at Jimmy's, Billy bellies up to the bar again. Ordering a Whiskey neat, he thinks his 'little rodent friend' needs one too. Oh, come on - it won't kill ya. Mentioning Lucy, Kevin denies he's 'team Phyllis' (and he sure as hell doesn't want Daisy raising his niece). Phyllis made a deal with the devil, Billy remarks. Make it two, Kevin relents and takes a stool beside Billy (who grinning, claps his new drinking buddy on the back).
Chloe's sure Billy will be back - he knows he screwed up royally (and must feel like the biggest heel in the world). Offering to help with 'anything', Chloe explains that she's dropping the custody suit - Billy's a good Dad. Agreeing, Vikki thinks she's doing the right thing (but, asked to pass the message along, says that Chloe will probably see Billy before she does). You love each other, Chloe's sure they'll work it out. She then looks sympathetic - when Reed bounces in to announce that Mac had her baby. How exciting, a glum Vikki pastes on a smile as she hugs Reed.
Work in the barn is interrupted when Piper's Dad comes in to borrow an auger. Come meet Sherri, Piper drags him over. His innocent questions trouble Sharon (when she spots the police badge).
Back in Victor's office, Mike hands out paperwork (pointing out that Adam didn't buy any stock until Victor's death was announced). Gus doesn't see it as proof - Jack bought at the same time. Some people would call it 'good business'. Diane JENKINS didn't buy - she's penniless, Victor tries to convince Gus that she and Adam colluded to manipulate the stock price.
Me!? Diane balks - ADAM'S the one who bought all the stock. Alas, it looks like Diane and Jack manipulated the IPO - to stick it to Victor. Why, Adam even has witnesses; the medics saw her lure his father into the ambulance. Too bad Diane didn't keep her mouth shut. Selling the info to Jack makes it appear they colluded (and for that Adam's eternally grateful). Diane panics - the feds are gonna come after me!? With Daddy dearest leading the charge, Adam does nothing to allay Diane's fear.
It's your word against mine, a confident Adam replies (when Diane threatens to tell the feds it was all HIS idea). Arms folded, Adam will convince them SHE set HIM up. The pay-off money? Untraceable. Everything Diane heard about Adam is true, she realizes. Funny, coming from the woman who double crossed HIM. Checking his watch, Adam wonders how long before the feds show up (which has the desired effect; sending Diane scurrying out).
No, Kevin's not at Jimmy's to gloat (and he knows he and Billy will never be buddies). However, when it comes to Lucy, it's clear that Billy and Vikki love that little girl. We do, Billy mopes. Kevin says the same thing he told Chloe; taking Lucy from them was wrong. Taking one last sip, Kevin leaves Billy to wallow.
Still pretending she's excited that Mac had her baby, Vikki's invited to bring Reed over to the mausoleum (to visit Delia). Leaving, Chloe again says she's 'sorry' (about Lucy). That leaves Vikki to suggest Reed make a card (for Daddy, Mac - and baby Dylan). I'm a big brother twice! Reed's thrilled. Getting the craft supplies out, Vikki explains again (that Lucy won't be living with them anymore). Billy too? a wide eyed Reed wonders.
Piper's father continues to make Sharon uncomfortable. Animals are straight forward - they always tell the truth, he opines. Daddy's a US Marshall, Piper chimes in proudly - he arrests criminals. And as the two men attend to the auger, Piper invites Sharon to join her family for a picnic. Pretty please, she begs.
After Gus leaves, Victor and Mike discuss finding the 'weak link'. This time Adam Wilson's going down. The 'other matter'? Mike's on his way to see her now. Good, Victor appreciates it. He's not alone for long though (as Adam strolls into the office).
When Reed runs up for more crayons, a sad Vikki's left to read the card. Congratulations Mac and JT - nothing brings more joy than a child, she reads aloud.
Wondering if Billy doesn't have a job to get to, the bartender's told to fill it up. What the hell are you doin'? Chloe then marches in to scold. Awesome, Billy mutters - then swivels his stool around to face his ex.
Back in the barn, Sharon appreciates the invitation - but doesn't want to meet new people. And as Sam returns to eavesdrop, Piper asks if Sam is Sharon's boyfriend. He's a great guy - but there's no room for a man in Sharon's life (news which appears to sadden Sam).
Carrying Kyle's large duffel bag onto the patio, Diane gently explains that they have to leave GC. What!? Kyle likes it here - and what about Dad? Her tone suddenly sharp, Diane's not asking - she's tellin'. We're leaving - NOW!
You think I have something to do with the reports of your death? Adam feigns innocence (and blames the paparazzi). When Victor brings up the opportunities he gave Adam, Adam reminds that he was an ivy league grad with a career on Wall Street (before Victor sucked him into this tragedy he calls the Newman family business). Claiming he has nothing to hide, Adam knows Victor met with the SEC. You're going to prison, Victor warns.
A sympathetic Mike drops by Vikki's. And how's she feeling? Like her soul's been ripped from her body ~hug~ Mike's sorry - this shouldn't have happened. Hand in hand, they stroll inside - to gripe about Phyllis (and the Judge - and Daisy). Vikki worried about Daisy getting out of jail, is assured that Phyllis will do anything to protect Lucy. Telling Vikki that she has her father's support, Mike suggests they appeal. Vikki appreciates it - but worries Lucy will be put in foster care. Tell Dad thanks - but no appeal. Mike picking up Reed's drawing, he's told that Mac and JT did indeed have their baby.
Declaring that no ex wives are allowed in Jimmy's, Billy just wants to be left alone. And when Billy orders the bartender to pour him another, Chloe orders him to pull himself together. Seeing Billy 'like this', Chloe's going ahead with the custody suit. Just get out, Billy points her towards the door. Other people are suffering, Chloe mentions Delia, Reed (then announces that Mac and JT had their baby). The world doesn't stop for Billy Abbott. Have another drink - have ten, Chloe snarls - then marches out.
After Piper leaves, Sharon gives Sam attitude (seemingly for not telling her that Lee's a Marshall). But, as she stomps off to see if the blankets are dry, Sharon manages to trip over the rake (causing Sam to rush over to attend to her leg).
Mac's baby was born yesterday - around the time we lost Lucy, Vikki tells Mike. She's not begrudging them - nor will she change her mind on the appeal. When Kevin drops by, Vikki claims she's all talked out (so a cheery offers to walk him to his car).
Still at Jimmy's, Billy's on the phone with Mac. There's nothing better than having a baby. We're all fine here, he lies. Congratulating Mac again, Billy hangs up (looking even more depressed).
When Victor doesn't buy that it's a coincidence (that Adam and Jack were the two biggest buyers), Adam suggests Diane and Jack partnered up. Having had enough of Adam's BS, Victor assures that he'll never sit on his board of directors. Showing Victor the latest figures, Adam boasts that he owns enough shares to demand a seat at the table. Pulling out a chair, Adam elects himself co-chairman. Father and son, side by side - together - whaddaya think? Adam's feet are now propped up on the table (while Victor, arms folded, pretends to be amused).
At G-worm, an excited Kevin's now on the phone with Mac. Congratulations (Mike shouts out in the background). Love you - bye ~click~ Kevin hangs up. Arriving, Chloe joins him - to update on Billy (adding that she WAS gonna drop the suit - but he's too destructive). He's hurting, Kevin reasons. What about Vikki? Billy should be with her. If he can't be there for his family, Billy can't share custody of Delia. He deserves to be alone.
And alone Billy is (moping over family photos on his phone). At home, Vikki's doing the same thing (sobbing).
As Sam tends to the nasty gash on her leg, Sharon refuses to go to the hospital for stitches. You're a vet! Sharon demands he fix it. Sam wants to know what's going on (and why she was nervous when learning Lee was a marshall?). Sam's no idiot (and feels owed an explanation) What kinda trouble is 'Sherry' in?
Diane will buy Kyle new hockey equipment. Now, let's go. Too late, Gus accosts them on the patio. Flashing his badge - he's been looking for Diane. Go get a cookie, Diane gets rid of Kyle. Introducing himself, Gus tells Diane that she's under federal investigation by the SEC. If she tries to leave the jurisdiction, she'll be arrested.
Does Adam know what Victor thinks about him sitting in that chair? No, Adam doesn't. Both men now on their feet, Victor calmly walks over and tosses the chair out the window. Scowling through the broken glass for a moment, Victor then turns to smirk at Adam.
Next: I was with someone, a nervous Sofia confesses to Malcolm. What did you just say? he blinks in disbelief ... I'm running from mistakes that I can never fix, Sharon admits to Sam ... I don't want to know anything about you, Lily snarls at Genevieve. Back off bitch, Jill growls a supportive (Kay and Neil watching on at G-worm).
My Thoughts: The feds don't look kindly on fraud, Victor warns Adam (I guess he'd know - since he served time for it) ... Huh? The paparazzi are 'always following Victor around'? Since when? ... Hey Piper - you might wanna check with your Ma before inviting other women on your family picnics. But, if Piper thought Sam was Sharon's boyfriend, why wasn't HE invited too? ... I guess Victor's secretary isn't at her desk (allowing Adam to saunter in unannounced) ... Why would Adam be so confident (that his 'word' is any more reliable than Diane's)? .... Kyle's just heard that he's leaving town - with one bag? And his only concern is his hockey equipment? ... For some reason I chuckles when Chloe's shoulder strap fell down (as she was trying to be all tough with Billy) ... So what if he's getting hammered? As long as he's not drinking while caring for Delia, it's not really cause for Chloe to change her mind on getting sole custody (especially since she's sympathetic towards Vikki - and especially since Ester's the one who's raising Delia) ... Sharon can hike for miles in stilettos - yet in sensible work boots, manages to injure herself on a rake? Too bad she didn't do the ole step on the rake cartoon move - so the stick smacked her in the face) ... Why is Sharon giving SAM attitude? Because his friend (and Piper's father) is a Marshall? Does he have to run his guests past the squatter in his barn? But why DOES Sam know so many cops? Is there enough hay to poke around - or enough blankets to fold (that'd enable Sharon to 'earn her keep' - and pay for the wardrobe Sam supplied)? What do they need so many blankets for anyway? .. Why is there more of Lucy's toys strewn about the living room than yesterday - when they still had custody of her? It seems Vikki just gathers up the toys and deposits them elsewhere in the room ... Why is Mike playing messenger boy? Why can't Victor go over himself to say Vikki has his 'full support'? ... Chloe 'doesn't know what the Judge was thinking'? Hopefully she was thinking of Lucy's best interests (though she may be thinking that someone who buys a baby shouldn't get to raise her). Maybe she was thinking that she'd never seen so many criminals in the court room at the same time ... Why aren't the authorities the least bit interested in pursuing Primrose? The coded list of numbers Jana found in the gold shed indicates she's sold quite a few babies ... How didn't whomever closed up Jimmy's last night not notice Billy curled up in the corner? ... Adam names the paramedics as 'witnesses'? Odd that they didn't witness Victor assaulting Diane ... What an oxymoron. Victor's 'almost certain' (that Adam 'engineered' the hoax). You're either certain or you're not dumbass ... Huh? Now one only needs a certain amount of stock to secure a seat on the board? .... Ohhh Victor - so tough - throwing women around - tossing chairs out of windows. Given that the executive offices are on the top floor, let's hope the chair didn't land on anyone - like some NE employees arriving for work (cause I'm sure the cops would have no difficulty tracing it back to Victor's office - what with the tell tale sign of his window being shattered).
