Today's Spoiler

Sharon hobbles a few steps - see? It's not that deep? Sam doesn't understand why she refuses to go to the hospital. Doesn't she know she can talk to him? it hurts, Sharon admits.

Nick hovers at CL's (as Adam tattles to a reporter - surely his 'old man' hurling furniture out a 22 story window is 'front page worthy'). Nothing you have to say is worth any ink, Nick presents himself to sneer.

Babysitting the twins, Malcolm and Sofia send Neil and Lily off shopping (then worry about what Cane's done to Lily). Nothing worse than pretending actions were out of love, Malcolm opines (unaware that a guilty Sofia grabs her belly).

Cracking jokes, Collin's wheeled off for X-ray's (missing Genevieve and Cane's arrival). Maybe he died, Genevieve hopes (which would have been so much 'cleaner'). Cane whines about the people hurt (who trusted Collin). You mean the people who trusted YOU, Genevieve corrects.

Joining Jill at G-worm, Kay comments on her addiction to Collin. Jill's not impressed to hear Kay got rid of Collins' stuff (as she was looking forward to having THAT pleasure herself). Bartender, keep em comin', Jill downs one drink and orders another (as, behind her, Kay waves her arm to cancel it.

And as Nick eavesdrops, Adam's interview now focuses on his brother - where's HE in all this? Envious (of Adam's credentials and board seat - outside, dodging furniture - and wanting back 'in'). As for Sharon (who committed neither suicide or murder), Adam can feel her cheering him on). Poignant ending to a great story, the reporter leaves smiling. Nick takes his vacant seat. Exploiting Sharon to get his name in print? Who's the desperate one now. The brothers then get into a pissing match over Sharon (who had three kids with Nick - but 'loved' Adam until the day she died). Nick disagrees - if Sharon'd lived, she'd have corrected her mistake). Noah comes along (with hunter). Seriously? You two are still fighting about Mom?

No! Sharon won't go see Sam's doctor friend. OK - you win (Sam fetches his medical bag and goes to work). His pointed talk of a filly he once treated merely seems to annoy Sharon. Just treat me, please.

Sofia's health scare has caused a change in Malcolm (who now tends to her every need). He looks forward to taking care of this baby (as he didn't with Lily). Malcolm sent out for formula, Liv tells Sofia about the RH blood risk. If Malcolm's the father, all's OK - but if Neil is, Sofia's pregnancy becomes high risk. The baby could have anemia or heart failure. Don't panic - if there IS a risk, Sofia's pregnancy will be monitored. Determined that Malcolm's the father, Sofia's equally determined - that no one will know about 'this' (and the baby will be healthy).

Mystery solved - Genevieve tells Cane that Collin's in radiation. Stop sulking - go see 'her' (do Cane and Lily have the same devotion she had to Samantha?). Wheeled back, Collin's again animated - well, looky here - his little family's come to wish Daddy good luck in court.

Now in Collin's room, Jill's briefly mentioned. And after Cane leaves them to 'go at it', Genevieve chides Collin (who's toast - guilty as sin). Certain he's going to jail, Genevieve hopes Collin has a long life. Not minding (as he won't have to see HER), Collin invites Genevieve to watch him change. And as she leans in (as if to kiss him), Collin warns he'll bite her back this time. You'll be in jail so long, you won't have any teeth, Genevieve has the last word.

Now seated at G-worm, Jill agreed to eat - not to discuss her personal life with Kay (who then shows her phone photo of Dylan, Mac's baby). Annoyed when Kay confesses to tipping the bartender (to water down her drinks), Jill just wants to drink in peace - please. Kay lectures a bit more - liquor won't wash Collin out of Jill's life.

Lily and Neil, armed with shopping bags, discuss Mac (and how Cane gained her loyalty under false pretenses). Lily realizes she shoulda left Cane 'a dozen or so lies ago'.

Back at CL's, Adam hopes Nick appreciates that he facilitated Noah living close to him (by allowing him to stay at Sharon's). Ignoring Adam, Nick and Hunter go 'check out the bakery selection' (leaving Noah to tell Adam to leave it alone). And when Adam offers to lend an ear, Noah's not grief stricken enough to commiserate with him.

Ouch! Sharon grimaces as Sam prepares to stitch up the wound. I'm running from mistakes I can never fix, she spontaneously blurts out.

As Sam bandages her leg, Sharon continues - she had a life that wasn't working anymore. People she loved kept getting hurt (because of the stupid things she did). What kind of things? Sharon broke their trust; their faith in her decency. Having only seen a kind, loving woman, Sam wonders what made her an untrustworthy person. Sharon was irresponsible - and made a bad decision.

Eating dessert, Hunter wonders why Nick and Adam don't leave. Because - Adam won't leave before Noah's Dad (and Nick won't leave them alone with Adam). Them fighting over Mom was a big part of why Noah left. And he's sure his Mom hated it as much as HE does.

Collin now dressed, Cane wants to watch him in court. The arraignment is just the beginning. Collin can see the hatred in his eyes - suspecting Cane would to kill him (if not for the guard at the door). Had Cane developed this 'killer instinct' back on 'OZ', they wouldn't be IN this mess, Collin concludes (as Cane glares n gulps - fists twitching at his sides)

Watching Neil and Lily take a seat, Jill's frustrated (with herself). How many times does she have to be wrong, before she learns? You HAVE learned, Kay's sure Collin would have found another way (to obtain his grandchildren). Jill's also distraught over what Cane did to Lily. Wondering why Kay's being so nice to her, Jill's more comfortable when she snaps - what the hell were you thinking!? Turn you anger outward, not inward, is Kay's answer (to how Jill will get past this).

At Lily's, Sofia frets over God punishing her baby (for HER sleeping with Neil). She loves her husband - this secret is eating both Sofia and Liv up (as Neil and Malcolm have fought so hard to bond). When Sofia feels compelled to confess (to Malcolm), Liv will go along with whatever she decides (as only Sofia knows if she can keep this secret).

At their table, Lily can certainly relate to Jill's humiliation. You were innocent - NOT a victim, Neil rants that Cane's dirt (for endangering them - instead of telling them who Collin was). Sure she'll never take Cane back, Lily's forbidden him from EVER seeing the twins again. But what does she tell them? And as Lily repeats her vow (not to let Cane into the twins lives), Genevieve appears - to chirp 'how lovely to see you'.

Telling his father that his crimes (against kids) won't go over well with his fellow inmates, Cane sure IS planning to stick around for the 'festivities'. In fact, he wouldn't miss it for the world.

After Malcolm happily rattles on about decorating their baby's nursery, Sofia stammers that she 'was with someone'. What did you just say? You slept with someone else? Near tears, Sofia admits it was when they split. Who was it? Neil (which causes Malcolm to cry too).

Standing, Neil tells Genevieve to leave them alone. Hearing that Lily has NO desire to see Cane, Genevieve hopes that doesn't extend to her (as they have SO much in common). Your crazy husband and Cane? Lily now stands to say Genevieve's cruel and malicious. She doesn't want to know anything about her. And when Genevieve claims that Lily OWES her, Jill (and Kay) appear - back off bitch!

Accepting Nick's invitation (to come over for dinner), Noah and Hunter leave. Nick then warns Adam to stay away from Noah. He's Sharon's son as well, Adam reminds. He and Noah share a connection Nick doesn't (as THEY are the only ones grieving Sharon's death).

By remaining silent, Sharon declines sharing her 'bad decision'. Topic changed, Sharon's in pain when she tries to stand. And ever the helpful guy, Sam soon finds himself kissing her.

Nick doesn't need to 'parade' his grief over Sharon (whom he's mourned the loss of since she chose to be with their child's kidnapper). Adam finds it 'disgusting' that Nick kept Sharon from her child (because of it). Reminding Adam that HE'S the reason Sharon lost everything, Nick thinks it one small mercy - that Sharon's finally free of him. What we have is forever, Adam responds.

Breaking apart (the kiss not mentioned), Sam sits Sharon down. And seated across from her, agrees that she needs rest. Giving Sharon some medication and instructions, Sam tells her to call if she needs him (and, in his usual quiet manner, leaves).

You slept with my brother? How!? Why? Sofia didn't mean for it to happen. Was it revenge? Payback? Sofia has no excuse - she thought Malcolm left her. It was just once. Was it a game? Neil gets with my woman - like I got with his?! Is that baby even mine?! I dunno, Sofia weeps.

Get the hell outta here! Who are YOU - to rub our noses in what your rotten husband did to us? Get the hell outta town! Jill rants at Genevieve (her arm around Lily). Good advice, Kay suggests she take it. Assuming they'd all share a moment of relief (that Collin's paying for his crimes), Genevieve didn't mean to upset anyone. Not buyin' it, Neil and Lily say so. Jill now has both hands on Lily (who reiterates that no one wants to get to know her). Genevieve pauses on her way out - drinks for everyone! (in celebration - and to prove there are no hard feelings). One day they'll all see that her work was for the 'greater good'. Genevieve's stunned (along with everyone else) - when a jubilant Collin appears beside her. 'Happy hour', he beams (as Cane watches from G-worm's front door).

Next: I want you on my NE board of directors, Victor tells Vikki (who seems surprised and not too happy) ... Hey dead man - stay away from me and my kid, Chloe growls at Cane (on the CL's patio) ... I love you Jill, Collin announces - and I'm staying in GC - cause I want you back.

My Thoughts: 'Everyone has a past', Sam says. Yes - and I bet his checkered past includes not spaying or neutering his stray dog - or jaywalking when he was 18 ..... 'Sam really shoulda slipped a few more questions in while grilling Sharon (diabetes? Tetanus shot? Gonorrhea? HIV positive? ) ... Just fix me, Sharon implores (which is what she's been asking men to do for decades) ... Nice to hear Sharon admit that she made a 'stupid mistake' - that hooking up with her baby's kidnapper was a 'bad decision' .... How unprofessional of Dr Liv - somehow granted privileges at Memorial, she uses it to access information for her own personal use ... Oh the hypocrisy (or rather, hypocrazy). Adam finds it 'disgusting' (that a father would keep his child away from it's mother). Obviously (and not surprisingly - since he's childless) - Adam doesn't know the first thing about a parent's protective instinct. But how can he not acknowledge his own 'disgusting' actions? He stole more mother/child time than Nick did. Is he forgetting that Nick encouraged (and at one point begged) Sharon to come see (and be a mother to) Faith? All she had to do was leave her kidnapper/lover at home - and walk the 20 yards to the tackhouse ... And how much mother/baby time was ASHLEY'S baby deprived of. Oh right - ALL of it (since Adam caused her to miscarry). I guess him kneeling between his stepmother's thighs (to clean Ashley up) and throwing the bloody towels into a raging fire wasn't 'disgusting' .... Whatever happened to Adam's perjury charges anyway? .. I doubt the chair Victor tossed out the window is still scattered all over the sidewalk. I bet there's not a trace of evidence (and the window's likely been repaired too) ... Collin musta landed on his head (he now seems as looney as Genevieve). Was Genie Francis told this was a long term role? Where can they possibly go with this character? We've already got a a 'mature' bitch (in Jill) - and we've got 'quirky in Gloria. Why are the veteran actors being underutilized (while 'stunt' characters are randomly being thrown in)? Is ebay auctioning off laid-off soap actors or sumthin? Are we really supposed to give a rats ass about a couple who've only been in town for a few months? Is it possible TIIC don't understand the very concept that's attracted us viewers for decades? That we tune it to see characters we're invested? A new character better be backed up by stellar acting, purpose - and a solid storyline (and it shouldn't come at the expense of those we've come to love - or love to hate) Though not directly proportionate of course, the longer a character's been on the show, often - the more fans they've earned. Fans of MTS are wondering 'where's Nikki'? And with Ronan reportedly returning (after being forced us - then vanishing without mention for months), some of us are gonna need a reminder as to who the hell he is ..... 'Diminished growth'? I have a hard time believing Malcolm and Sofia would have an underweight baby ... While I applaud Sofia fessin' up to Malcolm, shouldn't she have given Neil a heads up (or will she call after the furious Malcolm marches out). Couldn't she have waited until AFTER determining who's the Daddy? She confessed to ease her own guilt (not for Malcolm's sake).
