At G-worm, Abby's recorded confession concludes with an invitation (Mr DA - you know where I live - bring me to justice). Yes, it's for real, she assures a stunned Kent. Call the news outlets, she instructs - determined to get the truth out.
What's this about Abby? Kay asks. Tucker struggles to say that she tried to kill him. She'd never do that, Ashley whispers. Wanting time alone with Ashley, Tucker gets it (and repeats his accusation; which Ashley continues to deny).
You're suing me? The grand jury's being assembled, Victor informs Jack (who claims he merely bought stock at a low price; as any savvy investor would - then shoos Victor out of his office).
On the CL's patio, Diane haltingly does an about face on leaving town. But hey - we're still here - nothing's changed. I made a mistake, Diane asks Kyle to 'put this behind us'.
Delivering a humidifier to the penthouse, Nick wonders how sick Lucy is. Phyllis downplays the illness - she just wants to be prepared (causing Nick to question the REAL reason she dragged him out there).
Unpacking the humidifier, Phyllis insists that everything's fine now. It wasn't an emergency - she's 'chill'. Thanks - and good bye. Wait, she calls Nick back - to admit she needed a friend (and he's the closest thing she's got).
Back in Tucker's room, he rehashes what he remembers (which isn't much - he thought they got married). It's along story - all Tucker needs to know is that no one meant to hurt him; it was an accident. Remember how happy we were? Ashley talks of the rehearsal dinner (then informs he's been in a coma for a few weeks). It was my fault, Ashley explains that she and Abby went to the cabin - SHE was driving - lost control - and hit him. Sorry, she sniffles (as Kay returns with a nurse).
Still at G-worm, Kent calls the news desk - with a story they'll want to air immediately. Hey - where the hell's my camera!? Excuse me? Deacon has no clue. Outside, Abby's walking down the dark street, texting - her gasp stifled by someone clamping a hand over her mouth.
Diane and Kyle deliver dessert (and congratulations) to Jack. Yes, he's in charge of this whole place (and would love nothing more than to one day have Kyle working there with him). Jabot's very special to anyone with the Abbott name.
Checking on Lucy, Phyllis reports she's a great sleeper (then thinks it 'mean' when Nick reminds that he's on Vikki's 'side'). Calling him a knight in shining armour, Phyllis denies it's a dig at Sharon. She doesn't have any friends left - the Baldwin's and Daniel have abandoned her. Nick doesn't understand why she's surprised. Phyllis did this for her son - now, she's not so sure.
Kay chides Ashley (for wearing Tucker out). He claims not to be tired but DOES looks at little puzzled when Ashley informs the arriving DA that she has Kay's permission to be there. And though Kay and Ashley try to postpone the DA's questions, Tucker can handle it. Asked to step outside, Kay wonders what Tucker will say to the DA. Whatever he remembers, Ashley assumes.
You're seriously kidnapping me? Abby rails against Victor. On the jet - she's being taken on a trip. You had me followed! Abby realizes (and insists he take her back). Confessing was the right thing to do - and it's already on the air. Uh uh - it ain't, Victor's obviously seen to it.
Back at Jabot, Diane leaves Jack to assures Kyle that he'll never be too busy to spend time with him. Good - Kyle didn't want to leave GC. Huh? Why would Kyle think he'd be leaving town?
The DA at his bedside, Tucker remembers that a car hit him. In the hallway, Kay wonders why Tucker's so sure Abby hit him. He's confused, Ashley claims. And no, they shouldn't mention that they know about his son (as it might overwhelm him). Now alone, Ashley calls to update on Tucker. He claims Abby hit him (and the DA's in with him right now). Tucker's awake!? Abby's heard in the background. Victor knows she was driving - the bigger issue is that Abby tried to confess to the world. He stole my producer's camera and kidnapped me Mom! Abby whines in the background. Victor will do what he can to contain the situation - keep in touch ~click~ Pointing out that Tucker's memory is fuzzy, Victor won't let Abby 'set him straight'. He WILL make her disappear (like the camera) - do as I say!
Phyllis tells Nick that she's scared. She met her goal (to get Lucy in this house). She's like a pitbull (unable to let go). And yes, now she's questioning it. Nick agrees not to tell anyone. In tears, Phyllis worries that she just wanted to 'win'. Was it wrong to fight for Lucy? Now openly crying, Phyllis whines that everyone's against her. She even feels badly about bulldozing Summer. Tell me who I am. Because Phyllis doesn't like who she sees in the mirror.
Jack drags the info from a reluctant Kyle (who tells him that Mom wanted them to leave town right away). Now they're staying - so he guesses it wasn't a big deal. And when Diane returns, Jack's glare indicates he's not to happy with her.
The DA continues to question Tucker - who can picture the car's headlights. And who was behind the wheel?
Told she's going to a 'retreat', Abby protests - rehab? Like Nikki? No - a different place, in Connecticut. Made a fool of herself - irrational? Why, Abby's the most rational she's been in her whole life (and wants no part in this 'cover up'). You bet you WILL, Victor orders
Kyle sent to the media room, Jack confronts Diane (who informs that the SEC are coming after her). Victor served her with a subpoena. So what? Jack got one too. And when Diane points out that he had insider information, Jack points out that she has no proof. Suddenly angry, Diane shrieks that she has a son to raise - and may just leave town. Take my son away from me and you WILL lose, Jack warns.
Sitting Abby down, Victor claims he's protecting her (just as Ashley did when taking the blame). Ashley won't be found guilty (as Diane's not a credible witness). But what about Tucker? He had head trauma, Victor has an answer for everything. Once they know what Tucker says, he, Ashley and Abby will decide what's best to do.
Exiting Tucker's room, the DA informs Ashley that nothing's changed - she'll remain out on bail. Tucker doesn't know who hit him - but hopefully he'll remember. Kay stops Ashley from rejoining Tucker - it's HER turn.
Once more the tissue box holder, Nick reassures Phyllis (that she's not a 'loser'. Ok - she sort of is) But she's not alone - Nick will always be her friend. She crossed the line - but he understands. Nick also understands why everyone's turned their backs on Phyllis (who wonders how to fix it).
Yeah, it IS time for Nick to go. You'll be fine, he assures (and after a supportive hug, leaves Phyllis to mope).
Kyle returns to Jack's office - to hear he and Mom had a good talk. You're moving anywhere, Jack 'promises' him that.
On speakerphone, Ashley updates Victor and Abby (that Tucker doesn't know who hit him). The plan proceeds then - Abby lays low in a 'retreat' (over her protestations). Ashley thinks it best too - do this for me. OK, Abby reluctantly agrees. Don't worry - Daddy will make it all go away.
Tucker tells Kay that he barely remembers anything about that night. Pity - cause we all need to know the truth. And as Tucker needs to rest, a nervous Ashley watches through the window.
Next: Kay has a question for Victor - Tell my why Tucker's first memory was of Abby running him down ... How quickly can you get me out of these charges? Diane asks Leslie (who says 'it doesn't look good') ... Holding Ashley's hand, Tucker asks her to marry him - right now.
My Thoughts: Due to it being so dark - and the headlights so bright, there's no way Tucker would have been able to see who was driving the car that hit him ... Tire Tucker out? C'mon Kay - he's been sleeping for 'weeks' ...
