Today's spoiler is abbreviated (read: half assed) - because it's Canada Day - and I'm the only one not out by the pool ;-)

As Sam sleeps, Sharon flashes back to the kiss that lead them into bed. With her 'what the hell have I done now' face on, she prepares to sneak outta bed.

Nick's at RS - pausing over the issue with Sharon (damsel in distress) tied to the train tracks - then flashes back to a conversation in court; Sharon frantic to see Faith - before she goes to prison.

After numerous wedding videos, Adam finds a clip of Sharon on his laptop (playing sex kitten on the bed). Yes - she trusts him - with all her heart. Nothing's the same without you, Adam mopes.

Now wearing Sam's shirt, a sad Sharon crosses the room to gaze out the window; Sam still slumbering. Where do I begin? she's now agonizing at the desk. Dear Sam .....

There's so much Sharon wants/needs to say. She owes Sam answers - wants to be honest about who she is - how she got there - but can't in person (so is writing this letter). Then - if he wants her to go, she'll understand.

Flashback to a much younger Sharon - with Nick ~kiss~ She writes about Matt raping her (flashback) - the beginning of Nick feeling he had to rescue her.

Nick's still at RS - again moping over the Sharon cover (Sharon's voice narrates the scene of Nick beating Matt to a pulp at CL's). She had to tell Nick about her not so innocent past (having a baby with Frank - putting her up for adoption). Angry (and feeling a fool), Nick thought she was a virgin. Getting back together, Nick found out that Sharon was keeping another secret (Matt raping her). And when he got blamed for killing Matt, Nick never blamed Sharon - but Nikki sure did (flashback to Nikki at her snooty best).

Nick always looked out for her - it was just an understood arrangement. Now comes the proposal - the wedding vows.

At RS, Nick goes through a photo album (as Sharon narrates Noah's birth). Flashback to the new parents and their bleating son (who sounds a lot like Fanny). Then Cassie coming back into her life - who became Nick's daughter too.

At RS, Nick finds a necklace - the charm engraved CN (Cassie Newman). Flashback to Cassie gushing over the wonderful present.

Sharon writes - then turns to pout at Sam; fairy tales have a way of turning grim.

Flashbacks to happy times between Nick and Sharon (who had their ups and downs - but a perfect love). Then, it broke - into a million pieces - when Cassie died. Flashback to Nick and Sharon at Cassie's deathbed - her prophecy on another daughter (before she flatlines). The grief (which yes, brought a tear to my eye).

Nick and Sharon's grief tore them apart. He abandoned me - flashback to Nick and Phyllis in the barn. Sharon busting Nick (in the lingerie Phyllis bought - in the suite they rented). Nick playing dumb. (My Thoughts: If only Sharon had sustained this brief moment of strength - how different her life would have been).

Nick married Phyllis - I married Jack, Sharon writes - but, then, in Paris 0 it was as if they'd never been apart. Flashback to the kiss (which erased all the pain). Nick rescued her -- Cassie's prediction came true - she was pregnant.

But the happiness didn't last. Flashback to Sharon (in her hospital bed) telling Nick that Faith didn't make it. And that's when Adam came into her life ......

Sharon explains what drew her to Adam - the exact opposite of Nick. Flashback to Adam expressing condolences - then supporting a grieving Sharon. He understood her (as Nick never had). He wanted to be her partner - not rescue her.

Flashback to happy times between Nick and Adam - the winter wedding. Adam saw her as strong. Sharon stopped being the victim - it was the best gift anyone ever gave her. And she made Adam want to be a better person. He'd done terrible things (flashback to Adam confessing to gaslighting Ashley - causing her to miscarry - blackmailing Dr Taylor - giving Faith to Ashley).

The New Orleans - Adam asking Sharon (with her chapped lips and lumpy forehead) to run away with him. Nick never understood (Sharon's not sure she did either). Flashback to Adam saying all the right things - expressing his love. No one understood, Sharon writes - finally 'everyone' DID tear them apart. Flashback to Ronan arresting Adam (for Skye's death). Victor took Adam away - but Nick took the most precious thing; Faith. Flashback to Sharon and Nick arguing (as Nick mopes at RS). They disagree on what Faith will make of it all (when she grows up).

Sharon continues to write/narrate; she used her newfound strength to help Adam - so they could be together - so she could get Faith back. Flashback to Hawaii (Skye falling into the volcano). I was going to prison - Sharon couldn't stand the thought of her kids seeing her behind bars. Flashback to Adam's plan ('risky and complicated' - for real lol). Everything was going fine - until the carjacking (and how she was presumed dead). She knew Adam would be destroyed. Walking - Sharon thought of everyone she'd hurt - found Sam's barn - drifted off thinking 'everyone thinks I'm dead' (maybe they'd all be better off). Only poor Adam's alone. What would become of him? Would he be the good man only she and his mother knew him to be?

Realtime, a tear rolls down Adam's cheek - Sharon's engagement ring in his hand.

At RS, Nick throws the RS copy to the ground in fury - as Noah arrives to pick it up. I miss her too ~hug~

Adam's fist closes over the diamond ring. Flashback to more sappy words in New Orleans - I sleep and I dream of you .... Only Sharon and Hope think Adam can be a good person. Behind bars, Adam tells Sharon that he stopped caring about anything/anyone - now - he does. Realtime, he puts the ring down - and gets back to work on the laptop (this is the least I can do for you, he sighs).

Sharon feels it would have been harder on her loved ones (than her) - if she went to prison (My Thoughts; ya right. THEY'RE not the ones who's ass would be traded for a carton of smokes). She couldn't let them suffer like that. Now, they can lead happy lives. And thanks to Sam, so can Sharon (who's grateful for this second chance - and had to tell him the truth).

Looking indecisive, Sharon rips the letter into pieces - picks up the dress - and looks at Sam (who continues to sleep).

Next: What is she doing here? Billy asks (as Phyllis arrives at RS). I hired her, Nick replies. After everything she did to Vikki and me? Billy's aghast ... Sharon tells Sam - last night was a mistake ... You're slipping - Dad- everybody in the room saw it, Adam says. Arms folded, Victor growls - you're really playing with fire.

My Thoughts: Had I have known this was gonna be the Sharon show, I'd have been at the BBQ by now *sigh* Happy long weekend everyone. My apologies for the shoddy job.
