At the station, Paul plucks photos off the whiteboard - as Ronan wonders how Abby knew the victim had poison sumac. There's no need for the display - as Paul's got all the evidence on disk and in a binder. They then move on to the pillows (that Kyle's never seen). Could it be some bizarre message from the killer? Hopefully the security footage (from outside Diane's suite) will prove helpful. Abby arrives - disappointed that Tucker hasn't been arrested yet - and that she's asked to wear a wire.

Tucker delivers mail to Ashley's suite - how 'bout coffee? Ashley's attending Diane's funeral (for Kyle's sake). Tucker wants to tag along - it'll draw attention otherwise. Asked to come home, Ashley's not ready (still upset over the damage Tucker did to her relationship with Abby, to protect himself). How can she forgive that?

At G-worm, Mike and Victor discuss business (all made harder by taking NE public). Of course Victor understands Mike attending (and arranging Diane's funeral). On behalf of Kyle, he appreciates it.

Garment bag in hand, Jack and Kyle return to the Abbott mansion - today won't be easy - but father will be with son every step of the way. Will anyone come? Kyle bleats sadly.

At the church, Lauren places a framed photo atop Diane's casket (surrounded by floral arrangements). Adam stops by - to pay his respects before everyone shows up. He liked Diane - we clicked. Sad about Kyle, Lauren mopes - we both know what it's like to lose a parent. Adam does indeed - and we were adults. Stay for the service, Lauren invites. People won't want me here, the 'friendless' Adam points out. Diane had no friends either - it's the least you can do, Lauren coerces.

At CL's, Vikki (dragged out of her house) just can't stop thinking about Billy. Even pastry reminds her of him. Let's go do something fun, Nick suggests (then is surprised to hear Vikki's attending Diane's funeral; to 'represent'). Kyle IS Billy's nephew after all. Both Vikki and Nick wish the whole mess would go away.

Deacon accosts Phyllis at RS (to repeat his; I saw what you did). Watch this - Phyllis reaches for the phone - to call the cops. Deacon details what he saw (Phyllis chasing after Diane with a rock in her hand). Still wanna call the cops? Phyllis' panicked expression reads 'hell no'.

Back at CL's, Nick takes Vikki's phone - to put him his new number (in a bid to dodge telemarketers). Offering to go to Diane's funeral in her place, Nick's left to get a call (seems whomever's playing his recorded threat already has his new number; much to his chagrin).

If Deacon was watching - he must have seen Diane run away - Phyllis couldn't find her. But that's not what you told the cops is it? Deacon doesn't want money - he wants to ask the beautiful Phyllis out. As RS staff trickle in, Deacon exits - but will call to make plans later.

Abby has no intention of wearing a wire - it's not safe. Can't Ronan and Paul do their job without risking innocent civilians? Scurrying out, Abby pauses long enough for Detective Morrow's arrival - all three are heading to Diane's funeral. Ronan and Paul are then told about the stolen camera (certainly no coincidence).

Ashley needs space and time - but will allow Tucker to attend the funeral with her (and work together to keep Abby's secret). As Tucker goes to change, Ashley gasps as she opens a piece of mail (containing a black and white still photo - taken from the parks n rec camera). OMG!

Now in his suit, Kyle expresses guilt - over not being there to protect his Mom (like he did his Dad). Huh? Jack's stunned speechless when Kyle admits he hid his Harvard ring (from the cops).

Horrified (by the incriminating photo), Ashley's about to call Nick when Tucker returns. Hiding the 8X10 behind a cushion, a disturbed Ashley exits with Tucker.

Unimpressed to see Adam slumped in the back pew, Mike's told that Lauren invited him to stay. As far as Kyle knows, he was a friend of Diane's. Yeah - like that won't backfire. Posting uniforms at the entrance, Paul speaks to Lauren (who claims it's 'rough' to lose your Mom). For some, Paul frowns at Ronan (chatting with Mike); his return's a bigger mystery than Diane's murder. Aside, Mike's not sure who'll attend (other than ugh - Adam). Ronan thinks he might be surprised.

In the foyer, Victor's surprised to see Nick there (who felt he 'owed it to her'). Here to admire your handiwork? Victor pauses to growl at Adam (who accuses HIM of murdering Diane for real). You'll rot in hell (or a jail cell) - utterly alone, Victor chides Adam (for murdering the only ally he had).

Arriving with Abby, Ashley quietly updates Nick (about the photo anonymously mailed to her). Stay strong, Nick encourages. Sounding anything but, Ronan's sorry to interrupt (with the interesting news that a call between them 'pinged' off the cell tower next to the park). Across the room, Tucker issues a veiled threat. He knows that Abby's spreading rumours (but also knows that no one will take her seriously - so won't retaliate by blabbing about her 'driving record').

Back in the foyer, Adam tells Victor that Diane signed her kid over to him on HIS orders. To clarify, she wanted her kid as far away from Victor as possible.

Jack, Kyle (and an assortment of suspects) now seated, the Minister begins the service; Diane touched each of your lives in a special way. Nick, Phyllis (and others) exchange pointed glances.

Cops and detectives looking more respectful than the 'mourners', Jack's the first to say a few words. Diane was audacious, mischievous - and gorgeous - confident and savvy well beyond her years; irresistible Oh, the profound impact Diane had on his life - and how grateful Jack is for his son. The very best of Diane lives on in Kyle. Leaning towards humour, Mike talks of his friendship with the 'irrepressible' Diane - who lived and loved without restraint. Diane's struggles are over - she's at rest - hopefully at peace. Mike is not - he's having trouble accepting what happened - and will miss her terribly. Victor talks of Diane's softer side - how much she loved Kyle (whom he promised to take care of him - it's what your mother wanted). As all prepare to exit, the Minister leads Kyle out. Ronan asks all to remain seated - to share information they all need to know.

Ronan addresses the people who've all lied to him; a big mistake - since evidence places most of them at the crime scene that night. He's not bluffing, Paul talks of items left at the scene; like jewelry, a key. Phone records indicate Diane sent many of them text messages. Look around this room - are you comfortable putting your freedom in these people's hands? If so, maintain your silence. If not, you know where to find me.

As all file out, Abby remarks 'well that was completely inappropriate'. At least Kyle didn't hear it, a relieved Jack exits. Victor warns Abby not to be swayed by the grandstanding, show-off detective who's obviously bluffing - don't incriminate yourself. Aside, Phyllis assures Ashley that it was a 'fishing expedition'. Nothing any of US have to worry about, Tucker claims (though the ladies and Nick kinda DO appear worried).

Standing before Diane's coffin, Jack's brought Kyle back to say a private 'good bye'. But it's not so private - as Victor interrupts (to give Kyle a photo he took when they went riding). And after the Baldwin's lead Kyle out to get the 'condolence book', Victor and Jack exchange words over the custody agreement. Jack's then left alone to glare at Diane's photo. Damn you - even from the grave you're trying to keep Kyle away from me. But Jack stopped her once, and vows to stop her again.

At RS, Phyllis asks Nick what's going on between him and Ashley. If Ronan's not bluffing - who's implicating who? Nick wonders. Who knows? Phyllis gives him the cold shoulder.

Back at her suite, Ashley's also worried about Ronan's speech (and whether it pertains to Abby's video). They'd have found it by now, Tucker reassures (but also asks about her conversation with Nick; which made her anxious). Claiming he's using 'the head', Tucker listens - as Ashley leaves a message for Nick - don't repeat what I told you earlier - and delete this message ~click~

Abby joins Vikki at CL's (to worry that Adam - the expert of framing people - is talking to Ronan). Bluffing? He looked RIGHT AT ME (when talking about the key)! Someone told Ronan about the video confession - and that the key leads to it. Reciting the long list of people in the know, Abby wonders if Vikki blabbed to Ronan. No - course not - that's stupid, she immediately recants.

Still at the church (with Ronan), Paul jokes about who'll be the first to take the bait. Shall we start a pool? Adam returns - griping about how long it's taking them to take Diane's letter (clearing him) to the Judge. Ronan can do that - as soon as Adam explains why he transferred money to a Swiss bank account in Diane's name. You'll be hearing from my attorney, Adam snarls then exits. One down, eight to go, Paul grins.

Next: Would you care to join me? Jill asks Cane (at G-worm) ... You're married, Phyllis reminds Lily (who says she's getting divorced). Turning to Daniel, Phyllis snaps - Amber, Abby - nuff said. Two adults, Daniel gestures at himself and Lily .... At her home, Collin shoves Genevieve up against a column (looks like he's gonna kiss her).

My Thoughts: Vikki just saw a PASTRY that reminds her of Billy? She IS 'pathetic'. Or maybe HE is - can't she say 'I saw a foot long hot dog vendor outside'? ... As IF she planned to attend Diane's funeral (she'd have to run something other than her hands through her hair - like a brush, shampoo, a straightener) ... I don't have many friends in this town, a teary eyed Adam whines to Lauren (and by 'many' he means 'any') ... Oh yeah - Kyle's really gonna 'like the job' Fenmore's did on his suit alterations. I'm sure his pants being too long is at the top of his list of worries .... Silly Deacon - asking Phyllis out on a proper date. He's better off following her out when she leaves work and bending her over the dumpster in the alley again ... Ashley sure gets a lot of mail (considering she was just AT Tucker's) ... Worried about a 'leak', Ronan's stupid enough to balk when Paul finally has the sense to take down the billboard posted in full view of the station's entrance. Good move PI Paul - too bad you'll be the last to know the murderer's your psycho sister (just my theory - I have no inside knowledge) .. How would Paul know that the pillows were to 'folksy' for Diane? ... Of COURSE all the suspects attended Diane's funeral - in black no less. Never mind that 99% of the 'mourners' hated her. And most of those claiming to be concerned about Kyle, didn't even express condolences towards him. Phyllis looked either ready to burst into giggles - or bored out of her mind ... The cops lined up at the back looked more somber than anyone seated inside (except maybe Adam) - and Jack was the only one who bothered to echo the Priest's 'Amen'... It's Jack and Diane's 'history' that was 'intertwined'? Doesn't he mean their legs? And if she was so 'gorgeous' - and irresistible - how was Jack able to RESIST her when she shed her dress and offered herself up to him? (It's not like Jack's been getting' any action lately). Diane GAVE Jack his son? Seems like she gave him to Victor. WTH was he thinking? Announcing that Diane had asked him to take care of Kyle? Hardly the best time or place to drop THAT bomb. And why didn't anyone react or show surprise? At the very least I expected Kyle to say 'huh'? - and Abby and Nick to express displeasure at the possibility that Kyle might cut into their inheritance. What? The mourners aren't invited back to Jack's - or the club - for a lousy cheese platter and drinks? Odd that Gloria wasn't there (since Diane was such a good customer). And why didn't Deacon attend? He's as close to a friend as Diane had. How about Kyle's teachers and pals at Walnut Grove? His hockey team? The family of the kid who had him over for a BBQ the day after his Mom died? Nope - only suspects allowed. If Lauren's main concern was showing Kyle that 'people' cared about his Mom, perhaps she shoulda spread the word a bit further (maybe offer Fenmore shoppers a 20% off coupon on black dresses as incentive for women to go) I'm surprised Genevieve didn't find an excuse to attend (given the number of wealthy men in the room) ... Odd that there was no indication or mention of the press buzzing around outside (considering the coverage Diane's murder's received) ... Nick hasn't even given his new number to his sister yet - and he's already getting anonymous calls? How would telemarketers get his private unlisted number ... Did Mike think he was making his comedy debut at Yuk Yuks? He's hard pressed to think of someone more 'lively' than Diane? Since she's dead n all, I'm think he'd be hard pressed to find anyone LESS lively than Diane ... Note Ashley giving Tucker the stink eye when Mike talks about Diane loving 'without restraint'.
