Today's Spoiler

Arriving at RS, Nick pretends not to know he's 'in the way'. And as he fires quips, Phyllis tries to put Deacon off - anticipation is half the fun. Sometimes ALL the fun (Nick's on a roll). Finally alone, Nick's puzzled. Was he summoned to break 'that' up - or is Phyllis trying to make him jealous?

Ashley slips into the courtroom - as Tucker admits it's his signature. Like hell there's nothing more to discuss! He complains that Kay slipped the 'deliberately misleading' contract amongst other papers. It's 'fraud'! Tucker whips off his glasses to glare at Kay - demanding the agreement be declared 'null and void.

Sharon's thrilled when Noah finally comes to visit. Yes, he's fine - Faith's fine ~hug~ Look at you - a grown man, Sharon's apologies and explanations are cut off. Noah's simply there because he missed his Mom.

At the club's bar, Avery gives Victor good news; a new trial for Sharon (as the appeal process takes too long). The last trial was compromised. Plotting and planning? Adam saunters over. He's told to get his suit ready (for some face time with the jury; to whom he'll have to explain why he destroyed evidence that would clear Sharon). Flashing back to dropping the memory card into the water, Adam claims it never happened (just like this new trial) - but looks worried when Victor says he's looking forward to it.

One victim, nine suspects. At the station, Ronan looks thoughtful - when Paul suggests 'dragging' the creek. Perhaps something washed down (to where it empties into the river).

Likewise, Noah doesn't need an apology from Sharon. I dream about you and Faith - holding you guys again, her smile turns upside down - cause then she wakes up. Leaving them was unforgivable. You've been through enough, Noah reasons - we all have. Oh what a proud and grateful Mom Sharon is (knowing it's not easy for Noah to come here). Well, at least HE gets to leave.

Back at RS, Nick wants an explanation on what he walked in on; Deacon's a pig. And Ashley's an ice queen. When Phyllis sticks with her story (that Deacon's a news source), Nick thinks that BS.

Rain may have washed anything useful away - but dragging the creek might make the suspects nervous. Paul's 'on it'. Ronan now gets the lab report from Newman's ring. Yes, he DOES 'love this'.

Adam will appear in court if subpoenaed - but doubts it'll happen. When Victor and Avery make jokes about the three charges Adam's on the hook for, he guesses the dinner special tonight is 'delusional thinking'. Neither Ronan (or the SEC) have anything on him. Uh oh - a cop comes to say Adam's wanted at the station - now. Too bad you can't stay for dessert son, Victor quips. No - Avery didn't arrange 'all this' - she was bluffing.

Tucker can't have it both ways. So - having deemed Tucker competent, the Judge concludes that he'll just have to 'deal with it'. Jack gives Kay a kiss - for his Dad. Kay knows that Tucker thinks he's been conned - but she merely did what had to be done. On the opposite side, Ashley hugs Tucker. Never mind that Kay 'beat' him - he's in charge of his company again! Enjoy the bigger victory - you were validated! OK - we'll go with that, Tucker agrees. When Kay comes over to remark that Tucker seems himself, Ashley points out that he always was. The Jabot issue in NOT over, Tucker assures. One thing's over - Kay won't challenge the marriage. Whether they stay together is up to THEM.

'Intrigued' (about why Nick lied about seeing Ashley), Nick tells Phyllis that Malloy called them BOTH in (because they were in the park the night Diane was killed). Phyllis doesn't know who killed her - but it wasn't Nick - or her. Having blown her alibi, Nick doesn't think Phyllis needs one - but if she has any information, she should tell HIM first. The pair stare intently at one another.

Declining a 'drink or sumthin'', Ashley does want to talk to Tucker - over coffee (so sends him ahead to CL's). Pausing to give Jack the stink eye, Tucker leaves Jack to throw Kay under the bus (for behavior Ashley finds disgusting and unethical). Ashley sneers at Jack kissing the woman who almost sold Jabot to Victor. Yeah, Kay does 'play rough' - Ashley warns that she wouldn't hesitate in cutting HIM out.

Confess to you about what? Nick talks about missing cupcakes. Running with the analogy, Phyllis admits that Deacon may have THOUGHT he saw her grab a cupcake - but she didn't. She and Deacon have been talking about nothing but 'cupcakes'. He wants you, Nick warns. He's a pig. Well, that pig better keep his snout shut.

Noah gives Sharon an update on Faith (who, despite what's happened, still needs her Mom). Grandpa! Noah greets Victor (carrying a garment bag). Before uttering a word, Victor hugs Sharon (who's eyes glisten with tears).

Adam brings his quick wit (and accusations against Jack) to the station (since HIS Harvard ring doesn't match). Ronan relays the lab's findings - the chip in the ring was made deliberately. And? It was made recently - AFTET Diane was murdered.

Avery accosts the DA in the courtroom - toss the conviction and mandate a new trial for Sharon, she demands. Make time - for your own sake, she shows Walsh something on her laptop that makes him consider it.

Yes, Phyllis is sure she can 'handle Deacon'. Nick wants to know more about the 'cupcake'. Yeah, and Phyllis wants to know what he and Ashley have on one another.

Holding the bagged ring, Adam's still not impressed. Means, motive, opportunity apparently don't bother him (though Ronan knows he didn't have a good experience in the pen last time). The evidence is adding up, Ronan encourages Adam to fess up - before it's too late.

Scolding Murphy for making so much noise while eating his pie, Kay's obviously 'in a mood'. Unhappy that Tucker's regained control of McCall, she knows it'll have 'repercussions'. For him? Or for YOU, Murphy wonders. Just eat your pie (without the noise) Kay scowls.

Meeting Tucker on the CL's patio, Ashley reports she was berating Jack (for siding with Kay). She then relays what she told Ronan - they weren't together - she DID see Diane in the park (the night she was killed). She assumes Ronan will want to speak to Tucker (who no longer has an alibi). Tucker just wants Ashley back - can she forgive him?

Summoning Noah to G-worm, Jack wants him to create some youthful music for the new ads. No - it's not a 'pity gig'. Jack loves Noah (who's the right man for the job). But yeah, if it pisses off Victor, that's just an added bonus.

Still riding high off her visit from Noah, Sharon's stunned to hear that she might get a new trial. Victor's so confident he even brought Sharon a new dress (which Lauren picked out). You'll soon be free, he's sure.

Avery arrives to confirm that the DA will indeed be granting Sharon a trial; thanks to 'social media'. Showing the 'faceplace' photos of two women, Avery explains that they're not only jurors (in Sharon's last trial) - but friends who 'passed notes' online (about her guilt). Walsh knew but didn't do a damn thing (which is jury misconduct). Sharon works to contain her hopes. Avery's the soldier - but declares Victor the one fighting Sharon's war. And yes, Sharon DOES believe that Victor will never let her down again.

Yeah, yeah - Adam knows - he can't leave town. And off he goes (to make Ronan and himself some 'friendship bracelets'). Paul arrives - with a garbage bag containing debris sifted from the river (including what looks like the memory card). And what was Adam doing there? Maintaining his role as lead suspect.

Back at the club, Murphy suggests they go punch the bag for a while (guessing she feels guilty about Tucker) - then chuckling when Kay asks him not to tell anybody.

Clasping hands, Tucker promises to do whatever it takes (to win Ashley back). You're my whole life - I can't live without you. Alas, Ashley needs 'more time'.

Having confirmed that Deacon's not there, Nick and Phyllis are at G-worm. And when Phyllis excuses herself to the ladies room, Avery approaches Nick. Going to fetch his 'editor', Nick fills Phyllis in (about the new trial) - but as they return to the bar, Nick's puzzled to find Avery's gone.

Next: Noah confronts his father; You're punishing Mom for choosing Adam over you ... A tense Jack holds both of Genevieve's hands tightly in his - whaddaya say we take this celebration upstairs? .... Phyllis is absolutely stunned by what she sees on her computer (after doing a search for Avery Bailey Clark)

My Thoughts: Like most days, line of the day belongs to Adam (who's off to make 'friendship bracelets' for him and his 'bestie' Ronan) ... Since he's all over Phyllis, how could Deacon not notice her sending Nick a text message? ... Good that Nick checked ahead (to make sure that Deacon wasn't working at G-worm) - but what's to stop him from showing up to pick up his check - again? .... Murphy and Kay punching the bag? Now there's a scene I'd like to see .... No, Kay sure didn't smooth out 'bumps in the road' for her son. Is Murphy not aware that Kay IS the 'bumps in the road'? ... Ashley needs 'more time'? Does she mean 'more time with Nick'? .... Nice that Sharon hasn't forgotten her kids - that she dreams of them every night - and more importantly (in redemption 101) she realizes what she's done to them IS unforgivable. Why didn't Sharon pounce when Noah hinted that he might bring Faith to visit (cause 'the real thing' is better than him bringing photos) ... Was it really necessary for Victor to have Lauren pick out a new dress for Sharon? She doesn't have anything in her closet? (wherever that may be). How many times does Victor need to point out that he let Sharon down? Would se be so grateful if she knew he was a mere 10 feet away from her when Skye plummeted to her death? Too bad Victor can't apologize to HER ... 'Publishing is a 24/7 commitment' according to Nick - which is odd - cause he doesn't even put in 40 hours a week. I guess parenting isn't a 24/7 commitment; not for or Phyllis anyway ... I still find it odd that there was no paparazzi lurking outside the courthouse - while a billionaire and her billionaire son are battling for control of a worldwide conglomerate. Shouldn't the Judge be suspicious at all that the 'McCall subsidiary' wasn't named as Jabot in the contract? ... Couldn't Noah have worn something different to the pen? Except for the number, he looked just like an inmate ... Obviously Avery and Phyllis share some history - but what? Were they college roommates (or more)? Half sisters? ... Does Ronan realize that Adam's legally blind? I'm surprised Adam didn't point that out (when a cocky Ronan said the damage to the Harvard ring was caused by a small flathead screwdriver; like one would use to repair reading glasses ... Phyllis makes it sound like she'd never consider touching Deacon (who makes her want to wash). Odd - cause she didn't feel compelled to wash immediately after having sex with him against an alley dumpster ... What? Noah doesn't have a 'bowl cut' NOW? Who's my visitor? a bewildered Sharon asks the guard (as Noah stands no more than 8 feet to her left) ... If business fraud isn't that Judge's forte, shouldn't such a serious matter be brought to the attention of a Judge who IS familiar with business fraud? ... Gosh - 'faceplace' sure looks a lot like 'facebook' (they might wanna file some sort of copyright charges).
