Sharon's handcuffed to a chair at the police station when Avery arrives with clothes for court. No pressure - it's just a simple pretrial hearing - 'it won't hurt a bit'. Having notified Nick and Noah, Avery's sure one of them will show up.

At CL's, Noah's on the phone with Jack (who won't be at Sharon's hearing - as he needs to be home for Kyle's first 'tough' day at school). Told that Devon 'understands', Jack will handle Noah's contract with Tucker. He's just glad they'll be working together. Arriving, Nick's proud that Noah's there for his Mom - but has no clue how this new trial will go.

Joining Vikki on the patio, Sam reports that her water heater needs replacing. No need to hire anyone - he'll do it. As he's about to leave for Sharon's hearing, Nick and Noah come out to invite Vikki along. Well - Dad will be there - and she HAS been meaning to 'say something' (about her parent's anniversary). Yes, they're divorced - but have their own special connection, she explains to a curious Sam.

Already in the courtroom, Victor's ending his call to Nikki with an 'I love you' as Heather arrives. He's 'amazed' that she left Mike's firm (as he was about to make her a partner) - and clearly not impressed that she's prosecuting Sharon, Victor's also not impressed that she OK'd Adam leaving town (after destroying evidence that would have 'blown her case to smithereens'). And if the Judge sees it the way Victor does, Heather's second chance at a career will be very short lived. Already looking nervous, Heather looks even more disturbed - when the DA arrives to announce his new plan. HE'LL be taking second chair. Heather will be going toe to toe with Avery Bailey Clark.

Arriving at CL's with Lucy and the nanny, Phyllis makes it clear that Summer now adores the latest addition to the family. And when Kevin comes over to serve them, he's pleased that Phyllis includes HIM as part of Lucy's family too (encouraging him to visit). Phyllis looks forward to being there for all Lucy's milestones.

Racing into Delia's hospital room, Chloe's updated by Jill. Ester's with Delia (who's having tests done). Where WERE you Chloe?!

Meanwhile, Ronan's knocking at the mausoleum door. Awkward silence ensues when Nina answers the door.

Walsh explains his theory; statistically, a female prosecutor is more likely to beat Avery (who might have some 'hang up'). On cue, a disheveled Avery arrives juggling papers and complaining about a broken shoe. Looking disgusted (as Avery fixes her shoe with gum from her mouth), Heather smiles at Walsh with new confidence; I can do this.

In the hallway, Sharon (looking great in a blue dress) is delighted with the photo of Faith Nick shows her on his phone. Her supporters (Noah, Sam and Vikki) are joined by Victor (who tells Sharon she looks beautiful). Thanking him for the dress - and Avery, the handcuffed Sharon's lead into the courtroom. After a brief chat about Nikki, Sam and Vikki head inside - leaving Nick and Victor to agree that Sam's a 'nice guy' (hopefully someone 'she', Vikki, can depend on).

No sweat, Avery leans in to tell the nervous Sharon (now seated beside her). And as everyone files in, the Judge's arrival is announced.

Back at the mausoleum, an uncomfortable Ronan explains that he's there to apologize (to Chloe). Annoyed, Nina points out that Chloe went to try make things right with HER - and now Ronan wants to make things right with Chloe? OMG - you ARE! ('interested in Chloe'). What's the matter with you? Belated sibling rivalry (because she was involved with Chance)? It's NOT fair to Chloe - OR Heather. Leave these poor girls alone, Nina scowls.

Holding Ester's hand, a weary looking Delia is returned in a wheelchair. Explaining that Delia needs a bone marrow test, the doctor leaves Jill and Ester to watch on - as a terrified Chloe fusses and reassures Delia.

Lucy perched on her knee, Phyllis confirms what Kevin can see - things are going great. Daisy writes - asks about Lucy. But no, Phyllis is definitely not trying to form a bond between Daisy and Lucy. Kevin seems relieved - but it's sad that Lucy has no one to call 'Mommy'. Kevin then gets a call from Ester - and quickly updating Phyllis, runs out.

Kevin will be here soon, Ester reports (while Jill and Chloe butt heads over why Billy - the one they need - isn't there). Cutting Jill off, Chloe snarls that the irresponsible Billy's not going anywhere near her daughter - and can't BELIEVE she's being 'attacked' right now. When the doctor returns with a wheelchair, Chloe helps Delia into it - then cries that she'll never forgive Billy for abandoning their daughter.

Avery starts by attacking the way Sharon's pervious trial was conducted - she's astounded that an appeal wasn't demanded 'on the spot'. 'Forewarned' (by the Judge) about 'further misconduct', Heather also protests when told she can't bring up Sharon's escape. It has NO bearing on THIS trial, Avery insists. Completely siding with Avery, the Judge threatens to fine Heather for contempt if she mentions it in front of the jury. It's going really well, Sharon leans over to smile. You ain't seen nuthin' yet, Avery replies.

In front of the nurses station, Jill and Ester update Kevin. And as he's taken to see Chloe, Jack arrives to chat with a teary Jill (who bets Chloe's rethinking her stance that she doesn't need Billy). In Delia's room, Chloe further updates Kevin (who's questions finally reveal that she was with Ronan). And with a supportive hug, Kevin tells the guilt-ridden Chloe not to beat herself up.

Back at the mausoleum, Ronan can't help but be amused by Nina's mother hen attitude towards Chloe (whom she's never liked). Accused of 'taking advantage' of Chloe (as he did Nina and Chance), Ronan asks Nina to give him the benefit of the doubt. Finding him 'exasperating', Nina rants about Ronan's lack of answers. Finally getting around to Chloe's whereabouts, Nina asks him not to bother her (at the hospital).

During a break, Victor informs Avery that he notified the DA of Heather's conflicts of interest. Obviously it wasn't taken seriously (as he put her in charge). Thanking Victor for bringing it to her attention, Avery wastes no time confronting Heather about her romantic history with Adam. Agreeing that it's irrelevant, Avery assures that she won't bring it to the attention of the Judge.

In the hallway, Vikki gets a call from Kevin. Not sure where Billy is, she's horrified to hear about Delia. Off to see her 'stepdaughter', Vikki exits quickly, muttering 'dammit Billy'.

Jack chats with Delia as she drifts off to sleep. And how's her Mom doing? Losing it. Praising Chloe's mothering skills, Jack knows she's already had to make 'tough choices' (and that Delia's in 'the very best of hands

As Vikki joins Nina and Jill, Phyllis arrives to bump into Jack. She's there to be a friend to Chloe - but she can see that he needs one too ~hug~

In Delia's room, Vikki's sorry that she doesn't know where Billy is (but understands that Chloe doesn't even want to hear his name right now). Delia rolls over when hearing Vikki's voice - but is disappointed that Daddy isn't with her. Unable to hear anymore about Billy, Chloe races out - but is further disturbed to bump into Ronan.

The Judge quickly makes it clear that this is a whole new trial; his rulings will NOT be based on the previous one. The audio clip that Heather points out was admissible during the first trial, may be excluded in THIS trial. After Avery tattles about Ms Stevens relationship with Mr Newman, the Judge is 'inclined to agree with Ms Clark' (the audio is inadmissible).

Back at Memorial, Chloe rejects Ronan's empathy - don't act like you're broken up about this. You don't even KNOW my daughter (who'd have Chance here if it weren't for HIM). Chloe's obviously upset that she was with Ronan when her daughter needed her. Leave me alone! Please leave! Exchanging a look with Kevin, Ronan walks off.

In the lounge, Phyllis and Jack sympathize about Chloe being on her own. At least Delia has her mother. That comment (and Kevin's earlier) cause Phyllis to wonder if Lucy should call her 'Mommy'. Daniel? he won't care. Jack will never approve of the way she got Lucy - but ..... The doctor then comes out with devastating news for all; Delia has leukemia.

As the argument continues (over the audio clip), Heather rallies - and wins. Motion denied; the damaging audio clip is admissible. Taking her seat, Heather's smug - while Team Sharon has the wind completely taken out of their sails.

WITH a bone marrow transplant, the doctor believes Delia can grow up to lead a normal life. Of course, Chloe immediately offers to be tested (though is warned she might not be a match). After she runs off to see Delia, Kevin tells Ronan to leave (which he does without argument). In tears, Jill and Ester creep in to watch Chloe sob reassurance over Delia. The rest of the group are in shock. We gotta find Billy. No matter what she's gotta do, Vikki will bring him back to his little girl.

Next: After that performance, I have complete faith in you, Victor praises. I wish I could say the same about you, Avery responds.... Mike - you really think you'll be able to avoid each other forever? Yes I do, Phyllis seems sure ... Kay stands behind with Chloe. What if I fail? she whines at Delia's bedside. When it comes to our children? Not an option.

My Thoughts: Alright - 'we'll get you changed', Avery tells Sharon (like she's 5 years old and physically needs help getting into her new dress) I still don't get why Victor's buying Sharon's clothes. Doesn't she have anything left to her name? Is anyone buying her undergarments - deodorant etc (cause it appears she hasn't gone without hair dye). 'Who can blame you' (Avery tells Sharon). Good - at least she gets that Sharon never gets blamed for anything she does (just murders she didn't commit) ... Give your Mom my best, Jack tells Noah (You already gave Sharon your 'best' Jack - and it wasn't good enough) .... 'Statistics' indicate that there's a better chance that Avery will be beaten by a woman lawyer? Huh? How can that be? Wasn't there boasting that Avery had NEVER lost a case? .... Of course Chloe's frantic with worry, as any mother would be - but how can she say that Billy 'abandoned' his daughter? Since he was refused any kind of visitation, it didn't matter if Billy was in Hong Kong - or down the street at Jimmy's. Does Chloe not realize that being denied access is a big part of the reason he left GC? Nice that she 'forgave' BILLY for 'so many things'? But hasn't she done her fair share of acts that'd need forgiveness? Haven't Billy's latest antics been things VIKKI would need to forgive? .... Why wasn't Chloe called at work? Perhaps because there's no chance she'd be at RS in the middle of the day. This is likely the first time Phyllis and Chloe have even seen each other in months ... Did Heather really believe that Avery wouldn't drag up her past with Adam? But does Avery think that her being the sister of a star witness won't come out (and be brought up by Heather)? You'd assume the DA was already aware of Heather's past relationship with Adam. It's not like it was a closely guarded secret. Heather could lose her license - never mind first chair in this trial. Then Heather decides she can beat Avery - because she McGyvered her broken shoe with chewing gum? ... She has her mother - that's the 'important' thing, Jack says of Delia (as a father, it's kinda odd that he's implying that a mother's role is more important than a father's)... Does Phyllis really believe that Lucy will 'never know Daisy'? She risked (and ultimately gave up) her freedom to come back to GC because of her daughter. And thanks to Phyllis hiring her a lawyer, Daisy got a very light sentence. In her estimation, she plans to be out 'before Lucy's walking'. What then Phyllis? At least we know that Summer's over her initial jealousy (to having a new baby in the family) ... How hard can it be to find Billy? If Tucker's son can be found by tracing idiotically named groupies from 25 years ago, I'm sure Paul would be able to find Billy in no time ... Wonder how Sharon will feel - when she finds out her biggest supporter is trying to set her cowboy up with his daughter ... Vikki's been meaning to 'say sumthin' to Victor. Like what? happy anniversary? ... Totally intimidated by Victor, the cowardly Heather tries to put Adam leaving all on the DA - when Walsh clearly left the decision in HER hands.
