At the GCAC, Devon and Tucker joke about bumping into one another - yet again. 'Well under way' Devon will ensure the 'new gig' works out for him. Shown Devon's 'first art purchase', an impressed Roxy wastes no time telling Neil (who recognizes the artist - and wonders if Devon's not 'getting ahead' of himself; by buying the pricey original)

On the patio, the 'undermined' Genevieve gripes about Jill's 'stunt' (sending her out of town without even consulting Jack). Actually, she did, Jack admits. Then why's he letting Jill get away with this 'power play'?

The mausoleum sure is quite without Delia around. But Collin's soon chuckling over Jill sending Genevieve out of town (which definitely works for HIM). Hearing Kay's arrival, Jill tries to send him out the back way. Refusing, Collin's all smarm n charm as he greets 'Katikins' (then strolls out the front door). What is he doing here!? Kay clearly doesn't think it a 'glorious day'. Feigning disgust, Jill has NO idea - she asked just that - before throwing Collin out.

At the courthouse, Heather offers sincere congratulations (on Adam's successful surgery). He thanks her (for allowing him to go) - and pouts about not getting the same reaction from Sharon.

At the pen, Avery talks jury selection to Sharon. Ricky, a 'crazy smart' grad student from the Innocence Foundation, is flying in to investigate prospective jurors.

Ricky, hi - wow, Paul shakes his son's hand - you've grown. A visit from his son is the best birthday gift Paul coulda asked for ~hug~ Seated at CL's, Ricky announces he'll be in town for a while - working on a project. Paul hopes he can finally meet his sister (who's busy with a case).

Unable to find Koa, Avery explains why she's calling Adam to the stand (hoping she got through to him). Sharon worries - he hates me. Putting Adam on the stand is a risk.

Look at us - you're happy for me, Adam again thanks Heather (then mopes that Sharon 'can't be bothered'). Heather's sincerely sorry - but can't discuss the case with him (as she's got a subpoena for him). Yes, he's a witness for the prosecution. See you in court counselor, Adam leaves Heather smiling.

Hearing Ricky's gotta get downtown, Paul suggests they try hook up with Heather. Yeah - sounds great, Ricky agrees.

On the patio, Jack explains that Jill's very concerned about Delia. After the trip, he promises that Genevieve will be running the department (without Jill's interference). Mollified, Genevieve kisses Jack good bye. After she exits, Tucker again pressures Jack to partner up with him. Thanks but no thanks, Jack has no beef with Kay. Guess you LIKE being under her thumb, Tucker says in parting.

Back at the mausoleum, Jill doesn't need Kay to get a restraining order against Collin. Oh dear God in heaven - did you REALLY throw him out? Admitting she invited him in, Jill can do what she likes in her own home - and IS 'too smart' to be demoralized by Kay (who's left to look troubled).

To recruit the best of the best, Devon needs an impressive office. State of the art equipment's to be installed in his renovated warehouse space. Gotta spend money to make it. Neil continues to worry - he wants Devon to succeed. Have faith, Devon asks of his biggest fan, his 'Dad'. After Neil leaves, Paul greets Devon. Updated that Kay put him in charge of CI's new music division, Paul congratulates Devon - and wishes him good luck (but pauses to look worried).

Avery drops by Adam's suite - to continue their 'interesting' conversation. She's not happy when Adam refuses to testify for the defense (or to hear he's already BEEN subpoenaed - by Heather).

Pouring two glasses of wine, Genevieve calls Collin. She has messages to deliver from home - in person. Spotting Jill's arrival (at the club), Collin's 'occupied' - but with Gen leaving town, he reluctantly agrees to drop by. Assured that he's welcome in Jill's home anytime, Collin wonders if that means they're back together? Is he forgiven?

Unwilling to 'commit' Jill IS grateful for Collin's support (which is good enough to earn her a kiss - and the key to his suite; where he'll meet her after his 'errand').

A birthday gift certainly IS necessary. Kay thanks Paul for being discreet about Devon being Tucker's son. Not opening the present, Paul 'strongly' disagrees' (with her secrecy). Dropping by (to discuss Jabot), Jack's left puzzled - the front door all but slammed in his face.

In Adam's suite, Avery warns the repeat offender not to commit perjury (by recanting previous testimony). She can't WAIT to cross examine Adam (who remains unconcerned by 'witness intimidation'. It should be a lot of fun.

Kay WAS gonna tell Tucker - but he was nasty. She won't expose Devon to that. Paul talks of his love for HIS son (whom he didn't raise). Yes - but YOU have a heart, Kay feels Tucker doesn't.

At the club's bar, Jill's amused when Tucker claims he'd offer her a piece of the pie (if he owned Jabot). She doesn't wanna be your pawn, Jack interrupts. Jill excuses herself - for her date with a 'real man'.

An irritated Collin arrives at Gen's - puzzled, because his cell phone shows no missed calls from his Aussie 'colleagues'. When he's about to call Jill (to tell her he'll be a while), Gen needs to speak to her too. Oh? She doesn't know you're here? Abandoning his call, Collin goes to fetch wine (while Gen goes upstairs to fetch the messages). But first she turns his cell phone off; God forbid we keep Jill waiting.

Paul's gonna tell the truth for KAY'S sake too (knowing that sooner of later Devon will be devastated that his grandmother's been lying to him). Kay can't take that chance - not that Tucker will shut Devon out - but that he'll take him in (and be a bad influence on the kind hearted kid). Neil won't let that happen, Paul assures. The greatest gift Kay can give her grandson - is to let him know he IS her grandson. His reputation and confidentiality aside, Paul marches out - to do the right thing.

Kay then gets a visit from Neil. He's sure her arrangement with Devon is well intentioned - but it's interfering with the way he's parenting his son.

Roxy and Devon are now at CL's (where Tucker arrives to admire his painting; a Sheppard Ferry original - for his new office). Congrats. Reminiscing about holding his first Picasso, Tucker thinks that if Devon picks bands like he does art, he just might give him a run for his money.

When Adam takes the bar stool beside Jack's, he's given a back handed congratulations. No matter how good his eyesight is, Adam will still have a 'warped and selfish' view of the world.

In the court room, Sharon's horrified to hear that Adam's 'eager' to testify for the prosecution. How can he BE like this? On the other side of the room, Heather waves when Ricky enters - but her smile fades when realizing he's working for the defense. Sharon and Avery are stunned when they announce they're brother and sister.

As a negligee clad Jill happily opens champagne - sets out cream and strawberries in Collin's suite .... he's selecting a bottle in the wine cellar. Her suitcases packed, Gen joins him briefly - then exits - locking the door. Genevieve! Open the door!! Collin bangs on it furiously. And as Jill continues to float around on a cloud, Gen downs her wine; to you Collin. Singing gaily, she wheels her luggage out the front door - as Jill waits.... and Collin continues to shout and pounds his fists on the locked door.

Next: Collin, where ARE you? an annoyed Jill chomps into a strawberry (as Collin continues to pound and shout; Genevieve! You card carrying bitch! Let me OUT!!) ... Ashley assures that 'Tucker didn't do anything to Diane'. You better watch your back, Abby replies ... You have nothing to worry about, Cane tells Lily (who stopped believing his promises about a hundred lies ago).

My Thoughts: Why would Jabot send Genevieve out on the road to represent the company by herself anyway? She's totally new to the job; actually she's new to ANY job. Can't someone who KNOWS the new cosmetics line go pimp it - maybe Ashley? .... No one told Genevieve that 'travel' was part of her new job description? That said, if they were hired as equals, how can Jill 'delegate' to Genevieve? ... Kudos to Heather - she actually sounded sincere when sympathizing with Adam ... Understatement of the day goes to Collin; Jill, you're not 'underage' (that is until Paul told Ricky 'you've grown') Guess so - since Ricky was an infant last time Paul saw him - less than a decade ago ... Note how Ricky mentions his 'boss' and that he's going 'downtown' (without mentioning that he's working for the famous Avery Bailey Clark - and meeting her at the courthouse; where Heather might very well be) ... Why would Paul have an 'extra' car just sitting around? .... Why haven't Ricky and Heather met? Ricky was actually born in 2002 - after Kyle - so he should be around 9 or 10 years old ... Hey Devon - Neil said 'tell me about your clients'? Not tell me all about your office ... Wow - those strawberries in Collin's suite are HUGE. He must have ordered the fruit platter for 'real men' (Jill's diss to Tucker and Jack; both of whom she's slept with) .... Why is Devon carrying around an expensive painting? Can't he leave it in the car? ... Jill can't leave Chloe and Delia alone 'at a time like this' - but she can spend the evening in bed with the guy who tried to kidnap her other grand kids? Jill's obviously well on the road to forgiving Collin - but with the relationship shaky, why isn't Collin respecting Jill's wishes? She very firmly asked him to go out the back door (so they wouldn't have to deal with Kay). Yet Collin rudely disrespects both women - in their own homes! Doesn't Jill realize Collin will always do whatever the hell he wants? And won't Lily be impressed to hear that Jill's back with the man who tried to kidnap her twins. That should scratch her off the guest list for future birthday parties ... Kay's home 'early'? Like she has regular 9 to 5 hours? ... How on earth did Adam even qualify for out of state experimental surgery? Did he take the spot of someone who's NOT a convicted criminal? I'm sure there's people who've had retinitas pigmentosa for longer (and have more severe cases) than Adam ... Visits are one thing - but Avery and Sharon can't plan her defense in a private room? .. Paul's not at all curious about what his billionaire client bought him for a birthday gift? (I wouldn't be able to get the wrapping paper off quick enough) ... Huh? The best way for Jack to secure his position at Jabot - is to partner up with Tucker (who doesn't even OWN the company anymore)?
