At G-worm, Lauren and Jill toast to Delia's recovery. Then on to Genevieve's gloating that she's back with Collin (by sending wine to Jill's table). Who knows if Collin's aware of it? Unable to believe that he's run off with Gen, Lauren's hired Paul to find him.
Using the numbers of the date he and Genevieve first had sex, Collin finally opens the safe. Inside are some ledgers that track his bank accounts. Collin closes the safe as Gloria awakens feeling 'horrible'. Would Genevieve REALLY keep them trapped in the cellar for a MONTH? Collin's learned never to underestimate anyone in his family.
Bumping into Lily at the park, Cane updates her on the great news re: Delia. No - the photographer who just left didn't take a 'family picture' of the three of them - just the twins. Relieved, Cane offers to snap one of Lily with the twins (and is pleased when she offers to take one of him with the kids).
At CL's, Noah and Nick run into Sam (who'll see them at the courthouse). Noah's not going (and not sure Mom wants him there).
At the pen, Avery meets with Victor. Her plan of attack? Pick apart the State's evidence. The only problem is Adam. And when Sharon joins them to voice her concern, Victor assures that Ms Clark will take him apart.
Walsh leaves Heather at the club's bar - see you in court. Adam takes a stool - buy you a drink? Heather declines - and when Adam orders Scotch, asks him to show up sober and on time. Adam has an offer - if there's anything more he can do to put Sharon away, just say the word. He's 'happy to help'.
Heather makes it clear that she just wants the truth on the stand (not perjury). She'll focus on Sharon's character - her morals (or lack thereof). Her past is off limits (the escape - faked death etc.) But, Adam's to make the jury realize that Sharon's not as sweet as she appears to be. Adam can 'definitely' do that.
Ready for Adam's sabotage, Avery needs Sharon to be too. Keep your cool - don't overreact. Sharon's to appear a sincere, maternal woman. Sharon appreciates Victor's support and pep talk. You'll be great - let's go get em, Avery leads the way to the courthouse.
Noah WANTS to be there today - but Mom won't want him there while she's being 'ripped apart'. Nick lists the reasons why Noah should be there - don't stay away for Mom's sake. Having her family there will make a difference.
The nanny having taken the twins, Lily and Cane chat. He doesn't think the marriage turned out 'terrible'. He was a lousy husband. Lily knows he sacrificed everything to protect the twins. But why is he not still after Collin? What's changed?
Back at G-worm, Jill knows her 'Sis' means well - but doesn't want Lauren to stick her nose in. But when Lauren offers to call Paul off, Jill DOES want to know where Collin is. A waitress then comes over to ask where Gloria is. Assuming she took off after Jeff, Jill sees no reason to worry.
As Gloria's prattling on that someone will come looking for her, a toothbrush is shoved through the slot - then a note from Genevieve (saying she's draining Collin's savings account). Gloria looks startled when Collin has a fit - Genevieve! You bitch!
Lauren ends her call - see? I was right. Collin's ticket wasn't used - Genevieve's just been messing with Jill (who now worries where he could be).
Refusing to share the note with Gloria, Collin snaps that it's none of her business - then shouts 'shut up' (when she reminds she's trapped too). Pounding on the door, Collin rants n raves that he's gonna kill Genevieve - then come looking for whomever's out there.
Lily chides Cane. Sure, Collin's been told to stay away from her and the twins - but he's STILL walking free around town (which is 'infuriating'). Cane vows to protect Lily and the twins - no one will hurt them - ever again!
Opening statements out of the way, Heather calls her first witness; Adam (who glares at Sharon as he takes the stand). Beside Sam, Victor turns around to update late arrivals; Noah and Nick. Avery's opening statement was convincing - but so was Heather's. Sworn in, Adam testifies that he was faithful to Sharon. And was she faithful to him? Jumping to her feet, Avery's objection results in the Judge clearing the jurors out.
Cowering in fear, Gloria comments on Collin's temper - then nods acceptance of his sincere apology. Nobody pushes his buttons like Genevieve.
Cane joins Lauren and Jill (as summoned) to update on encounter with Lily. After Lauren leaves them to talk, Jill updates that Collin's not with Genevieve - then worries whether Genevieve would do something to make him 'disappear'? It's despicable - so yeah - entirely possible, Cane reasons.
Before the Judge, Avery argues against Heather's personal attacks. While she claims she's just trying to prove the defendant has a history of betrayal - establishing Sharon's character (as a liar). The bickering continues - both lawyers citing law by the books. End result, the Judge lets Heather continue - with caution. And as Adam and the jury both return, Avery warns Sharon to buckle her seatbelt (she's about to get 'smeared').
Lauren and Lily take a seat at the CGAC. Mentioning Lily's run in with Cane (and her own feelings about Daisy), Lauren thought Lily could use a friend.
Finding a bottle of wine outside the cellar door, Cane easily kicks it in. Oh Collin - thank God! Jill's relieved (but not as thrilled to see Gloria, as Gloria is to see her).
Heather leads Adam in testifying about Sharon's infidelity. Tearing up, he claims Sharon betrayed him and her children - for 'that man over there'. And when Sharon whispers her objections to Avery, she's told to bite the bullet. Praising Adam's 'crocodile tears', Avery thinks it a 'crock' alright. Objection! Heather jumps up.
Withdrawing the comment she's scolded for, Avery moves on from Adam's so called broken heart - onto Skye's death. And when Adam now can't say whether Sharon went to Hawaii to kill Skye, Avery has him read his previous 'righteous' testimony aloud (in which he finds it 'laughable' to think that Sharon would commit murder). Once again glaring at Sharon, Adam's dismissed from the stand.
Knowing it's hard to 'open up', Lauren can identify with what Lily's going through - as both have had children 'stolen' from them. When she offers to listen without making judgment. Lily admits she COULD use someone to talk to.
Insisting her getting stuck with Collin was an accident, Gloria assumes her poor family's been worried about her (while Jill doesn't think she was even missed - except by an employee looking for her paycheck). That leaves Jill to hug Collin (who's assures Cane that Genevieve's to blame).

Court done for the day, Walsh doesn't seem impressed by Heather's performance. In the hallway, Adam spars with Avery (who calls him a sadist). Also calling him smug and a hypocritical liar, she threatens to call him back to the stand. Back in the courtroom for her lucky pen, Avery's praised by Sharon and her supporters (who think she did well with Adam). All then say 'good bye' to Sharon (who's taken back to the pen). In the background, Adam shoots more daggers from his eyes.
Back at the GCAC, Lily confides to Lauren that she's confused - Cane's two different people; the one who lied to her - and the sweet man she married. He SEEMS sincere - but Lily still feels Cane's holding something back from her.
Leaving with Jill, Collin thanks Cane; who stays to 'close up' - find the hidden safe - and wonder what secrets Mommy's hiding.
Next: There's been an unexpected development, Avery tells Sharon (with Victor) What is it? Sharon sounds scared ... When you're about to get lucky with a woman do NOT ask her where your ex wife is (in Collin's suite, Jill's clearly NOT impressed with him) .... In the park, Ronan - what's the emergency? I think we've finally found the evidence you need, Cane replies.
My Thoughts: Can't EVERYONE identify with Lily? Hasn't EVERYONE (in GC) had a child 'stolen' from them? .... Wow - Cane sure made short work out of that solid cellar door. He musta taken lessons from Victor. But why would Jill think poor Collin must be 'thirsty'? Hello - he's been stuck in a WINE cellar .... And why is there a ladder in the low ceiling wine cellar? And what good is a toothbrush - without running water? ... Odd that Lauren finds it so strange that Gloria would leave her business (when neither she nor Jill are at THEIR business) .... Sharon's 'perfect' DRESS makes her look innocent? It IS conservative - but it's also a bit short and form fitting to make Sharon look 'maternal' (and I don't like the way if gaps around the neck either) .... NOW Adam doesn't want to 'screw things up' for Heather? Too bad he didn't feel that way when he screwed around on her with Rafe. Of COURSE Adam was faithful to Sharon - no one else in town would have anything to do with him ... NOW Nick was 'about to call' Noah to 'make plans' for court? Guess that explains why they were both so late - like Nick couldn't possibly make it there on time (while Victor managed to be punctual - and HE was at the state pen). Why aren't any members of the press covering Sharon's trial? (oh wait - I think I see one woman taking notes in the back) ... So it was OK for Sharon to abandon her children for HIM - just not OK when she was with another man ... Kinda early for Adam to be drinking straight Scotch (and if he's concerned about his testimony, shouldn't he have sought Heather out at her office - instead of just hoping to bump into her at the club - a half hour before the trial started?).... Good thing Lily wasn't in the portrait with the twins (since she's wearing a dress that looks like it's been put through a paper shredder. How does she even fold that thing?) ... And I'm not sure why Cane comments on how fancy the twins look (when they're in T-shirts and tie dyed pants) ... Funny that Gloria looks so petrified by Collin's little hissy fit (since she's rubbed elbows with the mob - has two sons with violent histories - and a murderer as a former daughter in law) .... Lauren balks at the idea that Collin would 'condone this treatment' of Jill? Like a man who'd kidnap his grandchildren off to another country wouldn't dream of mistreating and disrespecting a woman? ... Why would Collin's savings account documents be stored in a safe that doesn't appear to be touched in years? In a house that GENEVIEVE purchased so recently? Surely the ledgers would be out of date. And that safe lock looks like the cheap kind used on high school lockers .... Really - who the hell Collin and Genevieve's age remembers the date they first had sex? Jill has every right to be furious with Genevieve - but why call her a 'cow'? (it's not like Genevieve weighs a lot more than Jill)... I thought hell hath no fury like a WOMAN scorned - but Adam's really going overboard. Yeah - Sharon slept with Sam - but is that adequate reason to put her away for 30 years? (5 of which are because HE helped her escape)? This just proves Nick was right to keep him away from Faith - clearly Adam has no interest in HER best interests. I guess he's not satisfied with just stealing 6 months of their mother/daughter time - he them to be apart for wants decades .... Where were HEATHER'S morals and values - when she slept with Chance - and then his brother (ignoring the fact that both were involved with Chloe)? I guess it's safe to assume that Heather didn't find the time to get tested (as a match for Delia) ...
