Still in her robe, Ashley assumes Tucker's restless night is due to Kay's games. WHEN he gets the company back - and she's CEO - first thing she'll do is reassure the employees - and help Jack. Tucker the admits he hasn't told Ashley everything about the lawsuit.
Abby joins Devon at CL's. The Naked Heiress goes to college - how sick is that? The laughter ends - when Devon wonders if Abby's Mom told her that Tucker's suing Kay for Jabot - starting today.
Meeting Sophia at G-worm, Neil hopes they can settle the lawsuit. Sure - if Kay reverses the sale and gives Jabot back to McCall. What happened to Sophia's integrity? How can she support Tucker? Maybe because he's the ONLY man who has Sophia's back.
Kay drops by Jack's office - wanting him to testify that Tucker's lucky she bought Jabot at such a high price (considering the economy). Yes, she's asking him to testify on her behalf. Realizing she's coming across as 'condescending', Kay kisses Jack's 'valued' ass. Now can she count on his help? Jack's not sure she can.
Giving Ronan the original and photocopies,. Paul reports that per forensics, the diary is definitely Diane's. He then leaves to interview Goodwill's manager - see if they remember who donated the shoes. Heather arrives to drop the newspaper on Ronan's desk (Police at a standstill on Jenkins murder). Two months and no arrest. Ronan's building an airtight case - that even SHE can't screw up. After Heather leaves, Ronan immediately notices the photocopy is missing the 5 pages - right before Diane was murdered.
At the club's bar, a disgusted Adam tosses the newspaper aside; idiots. On cue, he gets a summoning call from Ronan. Fine - Adam will come to the station.
Victor's also reading the newspaper when Ronan calls him to the station. Direct all calls to Baldwin, Victor hangs up. Ronan calls again - to 'get his attention' by saying he had an interesting visit from Abby. I'll be expecting you ~click~ Ronan reads a journal entry from July 25th. If anything happens to me, Adam or Victor did it.
Ashley's not happy to hear about the deal Tucker made with Jack (or that he's just telling her now). Tucker's never made a commitment to anyone - it's always been about him. This is new territory - but he wants to be the kind of partner he's never been. He knows how important Jabot is to her (but not wanting it to come between them, it letting it go). Ok - Ashley will be content that an Abbott's running Jabot. Tucker's gonna try like hell to change his ways for Ashley.
When Jack doesn't want to come between mother and son, Kay doesn't understand - you're out of a job if Tucker wins. Jack will have to take his chances. Tearing up, Kay lays it on thick - he's been more of a son to her than Tucker (and she needs him by her side). Now alone, a guilty looking Jack tears up as well.
Joining Adam at the club, Heather makes it clear that Sharon's plea bargain wasn't HER idea. And she can't discuss why Ronan might be calling him in - again. Adam may be a bad guy, but he's no murderer. Understanding that Heather didn't stop by to be pumped for info, Adam surprises her by agreeing that was lousy of me.
Only in Ronan's office because it pertains to Abby, Victor grumbles that he was brought in under false pretenses - when Ronan asks about his shoes (which prove Victor lied about being in the park that night). Unfazed, Victor sits - what do you have to tell me?
Adam continues to apologize - I can be quite an ass. He knows they aren't 'friends'. Understanding why Heather hates him, Adam reminds they had some good times too; champagne in the hot tub - making love all over the ranch. Does Heather ever think about those time? Question ignored, Adam stops Heather from leaving. He's sorry - for everything. And as Mr Humble ambles off, Heather appears to believe that he's sincere.
Abby rants about Tucker; the big nasty, bully. Devon agrees - and how crazy is it that he's in the middle of two rich, powerful people he barely knows.
Neil campaigns to Sophia (reminding that Tucker fired her for protecting Cane). He refused to even listen to your explanation. Knowing that Neil's the one who convinced Tucker to rehire her (after they slept together) does that mean she OWES him? This isn't about you and me, Neil insists. Realizing the meeting's a mistake, Sophia's outta there. Yes - it WOULD be easier if this baby wasn't Neil's, she agrees in parting.
The tread on these fine Italian shoes matches the footprints around Diane's body. Ronan goes on to say where they were found. And here's the receipt (found at the ranch). Adam's trying to frame me, Victor calmly maintains. And as Ronan's summoned out by Paul, Victor's inspecting the bagged shoes - when Adam barges in. What are YOU doing here?
Neil goes groveling to Kay. He's deeply sorry - because of their little issue, Sophia wouldn't budge. Neil's then aghast to hear that Jack's not eager to testify. Where the hell is that man's loyalty!? Kay's confident he'll change his mind - Jack won't let me down.
In Jack's office, Ashley wants in. Yes, Tucker told her ALL of it. Despite the secrecy, she's glad Jabot will be back in Abbott hands. As Ashley rattles on about all the wonderful products she has planned, Jack reminds that Kay might win. Ashley's money's on Jack and Tucker. Let's not jinx this, Jack cautions - the company our father founded has been kicked around like a soccer ball for years. He prays it stops today - for good!
Using gadgets plugged into a laptop (in the main station), Paul and Ronan listen in on Adam and Victor (who's glad the cops are finally taking action against Adam - for trying to frame HIM). Everyone knows Adam killed Diane - and this time, Victor's gonna make sure he pays for it.
At the club, Sophia's delighted by Malcolm's thoughtful gift; a pregnancy pillow (though she'd rather be sleeping with him). Is there any way we can make that happen?
Neil hopes Kay's trust in Jack isn't misplaced. So does she. Kay then encourages Neil to confide - that this situation with Sophia is like Dru all over again. Keeping that secret tore apart his family. Kay adopts a guilty expression (flashing back to Paul's revelation). Neil prays the baby's Malcolm's - and that his marriage to Sophia survives. But - Neil has to wonder if he subconsciously slept with Sophia to pay Malcolm back? Having no 'sage advice', Kay gets Neil to admit that part of him hopes the baby's his.
Tucker interrupts Devon and Abby's laughter (and 'private conversation'). She's to call her Mom - and is Devon taking his advice (to stay away from Kay)? No - Devon appreciates the opportunity Kay's given him. Jumping in, Abby scolds Tucker (for suing the woman who sat by his bedside while he was comatose). THIS is how you repay her? Not buyin' that Tucker's reclaiming Jabot for Ashley, Abby's left to share a smug smirk with Devon.
Reporting her meeting with Neil, Sophia states that everyone wants the baby to be Malcolm's. Can't we give it a try? In HER mind, the baby's already his. No - even if the baby's his, Malcolm's not sure they can get things back to the way they were.
Sending Neil off to the courthouse, Kay's left at home to leave a message for Jack (who listens to her plead for his support - while holding a framed photo of his father). I need you there, Kay talks of protecting 'their' legacy (from Tucker).
Ronan and Paul listen in - as Adam and Victor point the finger at one another. Diane told Victor that Adam was setting him up - the night she died. Shhhh! The eavesdroppers hush a nosey Heather - to hear Adam also admit he was at the park with Diane - but that Victor was the last person to see her alive. Got you both! Ronan can't believe his good fortune.

Passing Neil and Kay in the hallway, Tucker joins Ashley (who didn't get much out of Jack - cause he didn't wanna 'jinx' it). Entering the hearing room (Neil at her side), Kay gives Tucker a chance to back out. Not on your life, Tucker's confident. No one's surprised when Sophia arrives to stand on Tucker's side - but Kay's glee (at the sight of Jack) quickly turns to devastation. Not yet able to meet Kay's eyes, Jack (envelope in hand), takes a seat beside Tucker (who makes a big show of patting him on the back - as he gives his mother a 'got ya' grin).
What's going on? Heather all but bellows. Shhh - Paul quickly and quietly fills her in. In Ronan's office, Adam suddenly sounds and looks like a little lost boy; Dad? Ever wish things were different between us? With a look of utter disdain, Victor ignores the question - to call his secretary. As Ronan and Paul pack away their gear, Heather reminds that the recording's inadmissible (unless one of em knew they were being recorded). Thanks for coming in, Ronan tosses at Victor's back as he marches out. Told he can leave, Adam wonders what Heather's doing there (and what Ronan's up to). And after he leaves, Ronan asks Heather what's going on with her and Prince Charming. Nothing. Better be nothing, Paul snaps. An agitated Ronan jots notes on the whiteboard. It's coming together, he assures Heather.
Next: Bag over his shoulder, Nick enters a dark, abandoned space; You win. I'm here. I've got your money - come 'n get it. Hidden - and watching - Phyllis taps away on her cell phone ... Seated on Vikki's couch (beside Abby), Ashley's in panic mode - Diane kept a diary!? Did you know about this? she asks Victor. Ronan has it, Vikki chimes in .... Ronan reads aloud to Adam: When my dead body's found some day, it'll be because Adam finally snapped.
My Thoughts: Sure was a lot of ass kissing goin on today; Sophia and Malcolm - Adam with Heather - Kay with Jack - and Neil's years of kissing Victor's ass has really primed him for groveling to Kay. I don't even know which is worse .... Kinda hypocritical for Ronan to call Adam 'Prince Charming' (not like sneaking off with his half his brother's liver made him Mr Popular) ... Good that both Kay and Tucker 'agreed' to abide by the Judge's ruling (like they have a choice) ... When Adam carried on about the fond memories he has of Heather, why didn't she remind Adam of the not so nice ones - like catching him with Rafe .... Paul and Ronan couldn't find a more private location to listen in on Victor and Adam's conversation? It would be obvious to anyone who happens to barge in what they're up to (like Heather does in the next scene). How stupid IS she? Anyone who's seen any crime show on TV would know they were listening in on a conversation. Even if they were listening to a song on the radio, it's none of her business and she shoulda politely waited until they were done) ... It's not just 'the secret' that tore Neil and Dru apart - does Neil really think he'd have been able to get over his wife and brother creating a child for him to raise? ... How exactly is Jabot KAY'S legacy? ... I almost felt sorry for Kay AND Adam today (but then I remembered that Kay did steal Jabot while Tucker was incapacitated ... and that Adam's a despicable kidnapper). Still - it's no wonder Adam turned out the way he did - with such a cold hearted (he HAD to make a call re: Vikki in front of Adam? It couldn't wait? He couldn't text Vikki?) ... NOW Sophia gets a pregnancy pillow? She's not broke - if she's having trouble sleeping, she coulda gone to Walmart and bought her own pillow) ... As usual, the courthouse is completely empty. No media interested in billionaire mother and son fighting over a make up company? ... Tucker's still lying - telling Abby that he's reclaiming Jabot - so that Ashley can have her rightful place there? Didn't he just tell Ashley that he wanted her to forget about the company (so it wouldn't come between them)? Hasn't she already agreed to being OK that Jack's in charge? I doubt she needs to calm the nerves of Jabot's employees - they're used to musical CEO's - and who cares who gets the corner office - as long as Ashley's fabulous products are breaking sales records? ... Kay talks about the long relationship she's had with the Abbott family - and how Jack's like a son to her (but where was her loyalty when screwing Ashley over? Guess she doesn't see Ashley as a daughter - even though she's her daughter in law) ****Monthly reminder. Note to subscribers - the daily spoilers mailed out are to be considered 'read only'.
