It's after midnight - Charlie's crying - Lily rubs her temples - then calls Cane. She's tried everything - he must be crying for his Dad (who'll be right over).
Finally home after a 'killer' day, Sam brings Keeley back. Laying on the couch, Vikki grins at Sam (when he wants to discuss sleeping arrangements for tonight).
Also up late, Billy paces. Managing to avoid the temptation of the laptop, he calls GCM to check on Kay. Transferred to Kay's room, Billy's silent when Jill answers. Hmm - must be Brock or Mac. Murphy sends Jill off to find Mitchell - leaving Neil and Devon to talk about how wonderful Kay is,
No Kay's not dead, Mitchell wonders why Tucker would ask. Cause that's what he wants - Jill snarls that he'd have been there hours ago if he gave a damn about his mother. Blaming Tucker, Jill won't allow him in - who knows what the sound of his voice might do? Go away! But apparently Tucker doesn't go far enough - cause he hears Jill warning Mitchell not to discuss Devon being added to the will (which isn't valid without Kay's signature) Eyes narrowed - a scowl on his face, a menacing Tucker advances on Jill.
Charlie content in Cane's lap, Lily watches father read a story to his son - the words taking on another meaning (and it looks like she misses him).
Neil and Devon try (and fail) to send Murphy home - he can't sleep without Kay beside him. Left alone, Murphy's sure 'we'll be fine'.
Why the hell would Kay put Devon in her will? Tucker wants to know. Jill doesn't know - and Mitchell's not at liberty to say. And when Devon comes out with Neil, Tucker pounces - you've seen my Mom? Business associates have more rights than her son? Hustled out by Jill, Devon pauses to snarl that it'd be nice if Tucker didn't show his face around here again.
Cuddling with the dog on the couch, Vikki thinks how nice it was of Sam (who's gone) - to offer to take him for the night. Missing her 'chaotic' house, Vikki wants to make some noise. The TV comes on to Father Knows Best (and in the trailer, Billy's also pouting in front of the TV).
Lily's ever so grateful that Cane got Charlie to sleep (while he needs no thanks for taking care of his kids). Lily's gonna wind down - maybe watch a movie. African Queen's on, Cane informs - at 3:15. As they awkwardly say 'good night', the attraction is obvious - and Lily looks very disappointed when Cane leaves.
At CL's, Devon grumbles to Neil about Tucker. Abby's right - he's an ass. Devon can't STAND that guy!
An apologetic Mitchell sent to Kay's room, Jill fields Tucker's questions - Kay just likes Devon. She's treating him like he's family, Tucker then remembers having the same blood type as Devon. He gets it - and lays it all out - Devon's my son! Tucker's in tears - does he know!? Jill's denials can't override her expression. Grabbing Jill, Tucker's ecstatic - I've found my son! And she's left with an 'oh crap' look on her face.
Alone and lonely, Lily mopes on the couch - then sends a text message,
In no hurry to go home, Devon gets a text from Lily (that she can't sleep). Neil's headed to GCM (to make sure Tucker's not a problem) - and Devon will check on Lily.
Arriving at GCM, Cane finds an emotional Jill (and encourages her to talk). Tucker's gone - but the damage is done, she weeps - wishing to God he'd never shown up there.
Sophia's another night owl - as she drops by Tucker's. Ashley's spending the night at Abby's. Tucker wastes no time announcing that Devon's his son. OUR Devon? Not possible, Sophia protests. There was a woman - he's the right age, Tucker's sure. Sophia wants to know how it all went down.
A glum Billy turns the TV off, grabs his stuff and leaves the trailer.
At Lily's, Devon updates on Kay's condition. Hearing that Cane came to put Charlie down, Devon's sarcastic and disapproving. Doesn't matter if it was 'nothing romantic' - guys read into stuff like that. Lily stands her ground - her son needed his Daddy - she's glad Cane's around (unlike Billy).
Tucker's sure that Kay has absolute proof - we gotta find Devon! Sophia objects - and wants to bring Neil into it. Tucker won't drag his feet (and has to wonder if Sophia's loyalties are skewered by the possibility that she's carrying Neil's baby). No - Sophia's being objective - think of what this will do to Devon. How can Tucker NOT go to his son? He'll be able to say that as soon as he knew, he came running (and off he goes).
Exiting, Mitchell's left the will - for Kay to sign when she wakes up. Murphy will call if he needs anything. Arriving with Jill, Cane sits to talk to Kay. She still loves you too, Murphy assures Cane. As all three file out to get something to eat, Billy (dressed in scrubs) sneaks in - pulls his mask down - and looks sadly at his unconscious Grandma.
Billy rambles on about stopping by Delia's room (but it didn't work out cause Chloe's sleeping in there). This is killing me - not to be here in any way that matters. Billy admits he screwed up - really bad (that's why he's hiding). Vikki won't forgive him for this - and doesn't miss him anyway. Billy hopes Kay knows he's there. Wanna get up? Come home? I love you Grandma, he kisses her cheek.
Sam slips into Vikki's. Finding her crashed out on the sofa, he turns off the TV - spreads a blanket over her - and is about to tip toe out when she wakes up - Billy!? Rubbing her eyes, Vikki admits she was thinking about Billy - so dreamed about him.
Getting off the elevator, Cane looks up in time to catch a glimpse of the disguised Billy (in the opposite elevator) - before the doors close. His eyes narrow in suspicion.
Alone with Kay, Jill's thrilled when she wakes up - and starts croaking questions. Jill lists all the people who've been there - ending with Devon. Devon. Oh yeah - about that - Tucker knows. You.... told ... Kay looks accusingly at Jill.
Finally tracking Neil down at Memorial, Sophia drops the bomb - Tucker is Devon's father!
Seeing Lily yawn, Devon's sent home with a hug. But before he can get to the door, someone's knocking on it. Tucker? Why are you here? Inside, Tucker stopped because he saw Devon's car. You were looking for me? Devon's puzzled.
This has got to stop, Vikki scolds herself. What will she do? She's gonna take action - move on. Clearly Billy's not coming back.
No sooner has Billy returned to the trailer, Cane comes knocking and shouting - open up! Billy does - for a glare off.
Next: Malcolm tells Sophia how he really feels - Whoever the father of your child is - you're in love with one man - my brother!..... There' something I should probably tell you about Billy, Cane's beside Jill at the bar .... There's no caller ID, Vikki tells Sam as she answers; hello? (Billy remains silent).
My Thoughts: Why would Neil turn his cell phone off when entering the hospital? No one else does - and as Kay's right hand, you'd think with her comatose, there might be some pressing CI business issues to tend to .... Neil actually did a good job of being objective (about Tucker's treatment of his mother) - especially since he spends 40 hours a week kissin' Kay's @ss .... The secret of Tucker's son sure didn't remain a secret for long - guess that's what happens when lawyers discuss private matters in public places (instead of their offices) ... Tucker ASSUMES Kay has proof - but I don't recall her scheduling a DNA test. Kinda odd that she's bequeathing millions to a kid not PROVEN to be her grandson (because she made NO attempt to do so) Yeah - and Tucker's in incompetent one .... If Lily has an early morning exercise class - and it's well after midnight - why would she 'wind down' - and watch a movie that starts at 3:15? Go to bed dumbass - count sheep. Yes - watch African Queen at 3:15 am - because Lily can't possibly afford to buy the DVD at HMV ... Since the twins share a room, shouldn't Lily remove the one who's cryin (so it doesn't wake the other one up)? Lily must feel like such a failure - having 'tried everything' she still can't get her baby to shut up. Charlie barely knows Cane - what about the babies who live with their Daddy's - and their Daddy's work night shift - do THEY cry all night? Maybe Lily just needs to turn the music up and let L'il Charlie cry it out (if he's not sick of course) ......... It's after midnight and Vikki's front door isn't locked? Even when she's sleeping on the sofa? Why not lock the door - Sam must have the key (cause he was in earlier to pick up the dog) ... Why would the GCM nurse transfer Billy's call into Kay's room - he SAID he's family, but there was no confirmation of that. Billy could just as easily have been a reporter? ... Let's have some fun! Let's make some noise. Wild n crazy Vikki then puts the TV on to watch a 50's sitcom? Oh you party animal (perhaps she is more Sam's speed than Billy's) .... Charlie's a night owl - like his Mommy? Isn't Daddy the one who works in a bar that probably closes at 2am .... Yeah - Cane needs Kay alive - to 'keep him in check' - but if she dies the inheritance will him in checks.....All signs indicate that Lily and Cane will soon get back together; They clearly miss one another - Neil's more agreeable - Daniel who? ... I'm still working on adding subscribers (and giving those who only signed up because they thought the site was down a chance to cancel). It'll be done within 24-48 hours. Sorry for the delay.
