Something doesn't feel right to Tucker (about meeting Ronan at a warehouse way out in the boonies). Sappy sax music cues a change of subject - the McCall's renewing their vows (followed by a party to end all parties). And good luck to Ashley, getting Abby to be her maid of honour (with the way she feels about the groom).
When Abby approaches their table at G-worm, Jack avoids mention of the unpleasant text message he just received - to share his good news; Jabot's his. And just as Gloria barges over to ask if Genevieve got her message, Gen gets a call that scrunches up her face - what!?!?
Setting a coughing Lily down on a bench outside the mansion, Cane explains there was a gas explosion. Oh, and his father put out a hit on his mother (who thank God isn't home). Collin's whereabouts? Unknown.
There he is - handcuffed to the bed. Jill relays what she overheard; wrinkle in the plan - sound familiar? She doesn't buy that she's screwing up Collin's 'big surprise' - and now sees him for what his is. Yeah, Collin's done things he should be held accountable for - but his love for Jill is real. Say you believe that.
At CL's, Phyllis is reading the same text everyone else got when Nick startles her (to explain that Avery's behind the photo that appeared in the papers, instead of his own magazine). You put Faith through that because of Avery? Phyllis isn't impressed. Nick then gets a message - from Ronan.
Letting Victor in, Vikki's all perturbed by Ronan's text message (which her Dad received too). Could he have found out that Vikki saw Victor with Diane the night she was killed? We better get our stories straight, Victor doesn't know what Malloy's planning.
As firefighters swarm into the mansion, Ronan tells Lily that his partner's gonna take her to the ambulance - Cane saved your life. And when Cane explains that he's been working with the authorities (to bring his father down). Ronan hails Lily's husband a hero. Chance!? You're in on this too?! Lily's stunned.
There was an explosion at my house - it's on fire! Genevieve leaves - with Jack in tow. Gloria tags along chirping 'I love that old house'. That leaves Abby to receive a call from Ashley (who wants to talk to her) - and Ronan's text message.
Victor confides that Ronan already knows he was at the park (ID'd by his shoe prints). He knows I lied about you being with me, Vikki realizes. Victor will handle this - Vikki's to say as little as possible (as he doesn't know SHE was at the park). Unless, of course, Ronan found the bracelet Vikki lost (in the park).
Before being taken to the hospital, Lily's stunned when hearing the 'scope' of this case (which includes the police, FBI, US military and Aussie authorities). It was an 'intricate sting'. No wonder Cane couldn't say anything, Lily realizes. If he 'broke protocol' many lives would be in jeopardy, Ronan agrees.
Clearly conflicted, Jill WANTS to believe Collin. Giving him a tender kiss, Jill jumps off the bed. NO! never again! It's OVER! You've torn me apart TWICE - and you're gonna pay for it. She then calls to summon the police to the suite. Do with him what you want ~click~
Still at CL's, Phyllis informs Nick that she received a text from Ronan too. Hmmm - what he's up to? Since he has nothing on Phyllis, she wonders if Ronan's trying to get her to rat Nick out. Neither one of us has alibis, Nick reminds. Do you think I killed Diane? Do you think I killed Diane? I dunno - did you? Nick wonders.
At the McCall's, Abby admits it was 'cool' that Tucker sold Jabot to Uncle Jack. Making a little speech about faith, Ashley asks Abby to be her maid of honour.
Outside the busy mansion, Ronan announces that Jill has Collin cornered in his suite. Invited along for the arrest, Cane would rather stay with Lily (even though she encourages him to go along). After Ronan and Chance leave, Genevieve arrives (with Jack and Gloria). And when a paramedic comes to say a woman's body's inside, Genevieve gasps - Merna!
I love you, Ashley gushes to Abby - please do this for me. Abby's about to give the ole 'thanks but no thanks' - when Tucker makes a l'il speech of his own (about how much he loves Ashley). Abby accepting will make their big day even more special. Abby's tired of hating Tucker (who's a 'jerkwad' - but IS crazy about her Mom). I'd love to be maid of honour! Tucker smiles - as mother and daughter share a weepy hug.
Back at CL's, Nick sums it up - and neither have alibi's, they should back each other (with Ronan tonight). Phyllis declines - it's not in her best interest (as Nick may be lying). Let's just worry about ourselves. Nick realizes she's right (and will probably just get him in more trouble). Like if she mentioned the scratch on his neck? Or like if HE mentioned that Phyllis' threats to Diane. That stuff will be kept to themselves.
At Memorial, Genevieve assumes Merna was putting groceries away when the explosion occurred. The house was just inspected, Glo wonders what went wrong - just as she was about to list the house. Huh? That's news to Genevieve. She gets more shocking news when Lily and Cane come along - to report it wasn't a faulty gas line - Dad was trying to kill you and Gloria.
Darling - listen to me - you're SO wrong, Collin claims it's all a mistake. Now dressed, Jill doesn't regret a second with Collin - but he'll pay. Police! Open up! Ronan chuckles - nice handcuffs. Ignoring Collin's pleading, Jill's stunned at the sight of Chance.
Hugging Jill, Chance will explain everything - after they deal with Collin (whom Ronan continues to taunt; furry handcuffs isn't exactly a menacing finish for a crime lord. Oh, he's finished alright - they've got years of evidence on Collin; money laundering, drug trafficking - trying to kill Gloria and Genevieve (which is news to Jill). The hitman Collin hired is already talking. Cane and Jill get were a big help too. Bottom line; Collin's going away for a long, long time.
Going through her jewelry box, Vikki worries about her bracelet (which Victor isn't too concerned about). He'll protect her (as will Baldwin). You never saw me with Diane - is that clear?
At Tucker's, wedding plans are 'shelved' - as Abby, Tucker and Ashley all puzzle over the text message Ronan sent them.
Gloria and especially Genevieve are shocked that Collin planned to have them killed. And when Jack says he has a meeting with Ronan, both ladies hurry off to the GCAC (to confront Collin before Ronan leaves). Unable to reach Ronan, Jack's left to wonder if he should even meet the detective.
Now in real handcuffs - and ready to be transported to jail, Collin knows the charges won't stick (as he has diplomatic immunity). HAD, Chance corrects - it's been reversed (and the corrupt official bribed into giving Collin the phony title is off to jail too). We got you pal - finally nailed you, Ronan gloats.
Victor will handle Malloy - Vikki's not to worry about a thing. But she can't shake the feeling that something bad's gonna happen. And off to the warehouse they go.
Phyllis declines a ride to the warehouse from Nick (who wanted to drive alone anyway). Why does he want to see us anyway? Phyllis wonders - something's 'off'. Also unable to reach Ronan, Nick heads out - Phyllis too (in separate cars). Ronan's cell phone reads '1 missed call - Nick Newman').
Lily's in a hospital gown and bed when Cane comes to update that the nanny's staying overnight. Reaching out for Cane's hand, Lily doesn't just want him to just 'check on the twins' - she wants him in back ALL their lives. Sorry she didn't trust Cane, Lily's never been prouder of her 'hero'. Nothing will ever keep us apart ~kiss~
Eyes on Jill, Collin's read his miranda rights. He knows Jill still loves him - and never lied about loving her. Bursting in, Gloria jabs her finger at Collin, the 'loser' (she's a survivor!). Genevieve then has her say.
Tearing up, she finds it hard to believe he'd have her killed (which he denies). So, this is how it ends - you growing old in prison. After Collin's lead out, Glo taunts Jill (criminals are like catnip to her). Shut up, Jill snarls. Genevieve's eyes are as tear filled as Jill's - we were both burned by Collin, she surmises - but lucky. How? We survived.
Jack cautiously enters the warehouse first. Detective Malloy? You here? The McCall's and Abby are next. Then Nick and Phyllis. This is like when Diane sent us the same text. Victor and Vikki are the last to arrive - what's going on here?
Who brought them together if not Malloy? On the wall, a crude film begins to play - 3.2.1 ... the newspaper article of Diane's murder.
In a hospital bed, Merna's bandaged arm (complete with a hospital bracelet) is shown. Pan down - to her ankle - adorned with a large tattoo of a cartoonish cat.
Next: The crowd watches the movie playing on the warehouse wall. This is creepy, Abby mutters. What the hell IS this? Jack snaps ... Hello? I'm here, Adam shouts out (at some kind of a pumpkin patch) - I got your text .... Victor's comes scowling at Adam's door - what trouble have you got yourself into now?
My Thoughts: Ashley whines to Abby 'I want you to get to know Tucker the way I do'? That's kinda gross. It's kinda risky of Ashley to ask Abby to be maid of honour - considering she drunkenly destroyed their last wedding locale. Perhaps Devon will agree to be Tucker's best man (setting him and Abby up as a new couple) .... Shouldn't Jill have made it easy for the cops - by giving them the number of Collin's suite? ... Trust me, Collin says (like he isn't a 'crime lord' who tried to kidnap her grandkids) ... Yes Vikki - let Victor 'handle' this (just like he's handling the rest of your life .... Pretty puny jewelry box (for a woman who's worth at least 500 million). So what if Ronan found Vikki's bracelet - not like her name was engraved on it ... Oh Gloria - you don't 'love that old house' - you the love the commission you earned when selling it to Genevieve ... Unless Phyllis took photos of Nick's scratched neck (which could have happened during their romp on the sofa), there's no proof - it's her word against Nick's .... What's with Phyllis' attitude towards her boss? And wasn't it HER idea not to cover Sharon's trial? Nick's accused of 'putting Faith through that'. Through what? Having her picture taken? Like that's the worst the child's been subjected to? Not very environmentally friendly (of Phyllis and Nick to take separate cars - when they're both driving to the same place; waaay out of town) .... Tucker asks Ashley if she wants Traci to be her Maid of Honour - guess since he's never been married, he doesn't know she (as a married woman) would act as Matron of Honour. Wonder if he has any idea how many times Ashley's said 'I do' (or that many of her exes have met untimely deaths) ... Will Abby use the words 'jerkwad' or 'skeezeball' in her toast to the newlyweds)? ... Speaking of wrinkles - Jill - nuff said (looks like all those chunky/heavy necklaces she's always wearing are taking their toll) ... Collin and Jill (who 'didn't know each other') followed their 'hearts' when getting married? More like Collin followed his heart-on .... Cane 'pretty much' saved Lily's life? Wasn't she listening when Ronan hailed her husband a 'hero'? How else did she think she'd have escaped the explosion? ... Genevieve didn't think Collin capable of ordering a hit on her? Why? Because he always treats her so nicely? .... Genevieve doesn't expect to get information on Merna because she's not 'family'? IS there any family to call? If not, Merna didn't put her employer down as emergency contact? Besides - it's not like GC Memorial is discriminatory on who it gives out personal information ... Ah ha! Merna is Patty Williams (who was last seen in a bar - looking trampish - and with the same kitty tattoo). Nice twist (though I doubt getting burned was in Patty's plan). Wonder how she managed to get everyone's cell phone numbers (never mind that when Patty was last in GC, she had the mentality of a child - complete with a fixation on arts n crafts).
