Today's Spoiler

Friday, October 21st

The horrified gathering of suspects watches the film playing on the wall (the newspaper headline reads: Who killed Diane Jenkins?) Realizing is wasn't Malloy who summoned them - they wonder who did.

'Merna's' face and arms bandaged, the nurse tucks the blanket under her tattooed leg. You have more to do in this world, she chirps brightly.

Ordering the cops to gather up everything in Collin's suite, Ronan gently asks Genevieve to leave. She feels guilty for Merna's agony - how can she ever make it up to her suffering housekeeper?) Merna's a wonderful person; clever and kind - wouldn't hurt a fly, Genevieve tears up.

Adam arrives at a pumpkin patch - hello? I'm here - got your text - whaddaya want from me?

The movie playing on the wall shows Diane's body floating - then Jack grabbing her arm on the bridge. Cut to Abby slinging Diane around on the grass - then Ashley shoving her - Tucker grabbing her by the throat. Nick wrestling with Diane - Phyllis picking up the rock to run after her - Victor with a rock above his head (as Vikki watches). Throughout, the audience look at one another; shocked, silent and suspicious.

At Memorial, the doctor updates Genevieve - Ms Murdock needs help breathing due to damage to her lungs. With no family on record, Genevieve willingly becomes the 'point person'. Burns to the face are the most severe - though in time, she could look like she did before the explosion. In Merna's room, Genevieve (horrified by all the apparatus) takes a seat - can you hear me? I'm so so sorry, she weeps. You've never done anything to hurt anyone.

Lights on (and determining that the projector was on a timer), everyone pleads innocence - then point fingers at one another. Instead of doing exactly what Ronan wants, Jack suggests they all just shut up. MOre bickering - and arms folded, Victor challenges Jack - you'll never get me (especially from a prison cell).

Ronan joins Genevieve in Merna's room - and hears the doctor's optimistic - controlling her pain. Ronan's then surprised to hear he's late for a meeting. The text you sent Jack, she prompts. As the monitors beep, Ronan calls for a doctor. Merna's head moves.

Hello? Hello? Adam shouts - why am I here? Seeing a glowing pumpkin head - atop a nun's costume, he's disturbed to realize he was right - Patty's back.

Jack snaps at Victor - Phyllis and Tucker bicker - Victor defends Nick - again accusing Jack. Kyle is HIS ward (who needs HIS guidance now). Try it, Jack snarls. The eight then get back to wondering who's responsible (if not Ronan).

The accelerated heart beat is due to stress and pain, the doctor informs. She just needs time (and pain meds). Now alone, Ronan and Genevieve discuss the text he never sent. Yes, someone's 'making mischief' with his lost phone - Ronan quickly exits. Sitting at Merna's bedside, Genevieve pouts - will this night never end?

Back at the warehouse, Nick accuses Adam. Phyllis agrees. But why? And where the hell is he?

Adam returns to his suite. Ahhh Patty - I gotta find you - before you start ruining things for me.

Jack, Tucker and Vikki aren't so sure Adam's behind it. We've gotta keep it together - we ALL have something to hide, Phyllis states. Getting a call from genevieve, Jack reports that Ronan didn't send the text (but is on his way out to the warehouse now). He can't see the film, all are in agreement.

Adam calls (and leaves a message for) Patty - what was that all about? Call me - we gotta chat ~click~ He then gets a visit from Victor - what trouble have you gotten yourself into now? he growls.

Ronan's amused - well, well, well, hello party people. Why the get together? All want to know why he summoned them there. Ronan didn't throw the shindig - but here you all are. Makes a detective wonder what they have in common.

Genevieve wonders if Merna has family - or someone she loved. Has she ever loved anyone the way she did Collin? So passionate - but brutal. Collin never loved me the way I loved him. I was a fool - it wasn't love at all - it was war. And you got caught in the middle of it. It's not all hearts and flowers - it's fire and ashes.

This won't take long, Victor barges in - to ask where Adam was tonight. Others are interested in his whereabouts too - better get an alibi ready. For what? Victor thinks it suspicious that Ronan summoned all the suspects - except Adam. If he WAS behind this, 'we'll talk some more', Victor calmly threatens in parting.

Back at the warehouse, Ronan's shown the text they all received. So, the good people of GC all convene - then what? You stood here silently? Somebody got you together for nothing? Yup - nothing at all (Ronan's not convinced).

C' mon Patty - I ain't playin' around here, Adam tosses his phone. Getting another knock at his door, he finds an envelope in the hallway - and is puzzled to find a taped up cell phone inside (Ronan's).

Jack finds Genevieve outside Merna's room ~hug~ She gripes about Collin lying to her - to think he wanted to murder her; the mother of his children. Jack isn't interested in talking about Ronan - it's been a long day.

Home, Tucker and Ashley ask Abby to stay - but she'd rather go home (so does) - leaving Ashley mortified at Abby seeing her act that way with Diane. Everything will be fine, Tucker gives her a hug.

On the CL's patio, Nick scolds Phyllis (who never mentioned picking up a rock). I didn't kill Diane, she insists - we all have secrets. And when Phyllis isn't sure Adam's behind it, Nick wonders what else she's hiding.

Vikki and Ronan are the only ones left at the warehouse when Victor returns (to be questioned on why he left early). Vikki and Victor throw Adam under the buss - it's obvious he sent that text. IS it? Vikki wasn't even declared a suspect - why was she summoned? Victor leads Vikki out (if Ronan wants to question her, it'll be at the station - in the presence of a lawyer). Now alone, Ronan wonders aloud - what exactly happened here tonight?

When Ashley continues to dwell on the warehouse meeting - all the lies and anger in that room, Tucker confesses all; choking Diane (who then pushed him into poisonous sumac). The carpal tunnel was a lie - but Tucker didn't kill her. I know, Ashley's quick to assure.

Back on the patio, Nick reminds that Diane was killed with a rock - and Phyllis ran after her - with a rock. Phyllis insists she dropped it - Diane was alive when she left. No, Nick doesn't think Phyllis killed her - but what is she holding back - and why?

In her car, Abby frets - how can I NOT remember what happened?

Now home, Vikki rants about someone recording that movie. Yes, the film was disposed of - but Dad, there could be a copy! And now, Vikki's not the only one who knows what Victor did out there.

Arm in arm at Memorial, Jack asks about Merna (but isn't sure this is the right time to meet her). She has no family, Genevieve mopes. Jack's impressed - tough business woman on the outside, marshmallow inside. Now in Merna's room, Genevieve introduces her very dear friend Jack Abbott (who's sorry they're meeting under these circumstances). Through her bandages 'Merna' watches them kiss; her fist clenching the blanket.

Adam ponders the phone - let's find out who owns it, he pushes buttons. Another knock at the door brings his BFF, Ronan (who picks up his phone - not believing it was delivered to Adam's door). Let's talk about it down at the station. And away we go again, a sarcastic Adam sighs.

Next: Getting a visit from Genevieve, Collin asks her to return the items she took from him .... Adam tells Ronan - my money's on my Pops. That man would love to see me behind bars ... Victor - you're under no obligation me me - or to my son, Adam.

My Thoughts: Ashley was mortified - because Abby saw her acting 'that way' with Diane? Please - hasn't Ashley been mortified by Abby dropping her dress all over town? .... The dog ate your phone? Vikki says sarcastically. Why not? You thought a dog ate your divorce papers .... How can Genevieve tell if Merna's resting or not? .... Since Victor's disowned Adam (repeatedly) - why does he always feel the need to preface his name with the words 'my son' - to clarify he's not referring to another Adam? .... Given the combined wealth of those gathered at the warehouse, why didn't someone suggest having the film checked out - dusted for prints etc.? It's been made clear that the warehouse is way out of town - so how is Victor able to drive all the way back into town to visit Adam - then make it back to the warehouse in time to catch Vikki and Ronan? If Vikki's not an official suspect, why is her photo posted on his white board? Odd that the press didn't pick up on all of GC's high rollers heading out into the 'boonies' There must be at least 6 cars parked out there .... Too bad Genevieve doesn't have a photo of Merna - that she could show Jack....With her badly burned face fully bandaged, how does the doctor know it's possible that Merna, in time, will look the same? (guess he knows the magic of cosmetic surgery) - wonder who's face Patty will adopt next - but aren't burn victims highly susceptible to infection? Shouldn't anyone near Merna be wearing masks at least? .... Wonder when Patty Williams had the time to learn how to edit film footage. There sure were a lot of angles of the park - musta been a lot of cameras nailed to trees. Again I'm reminded of the improbability of Diane encountering so many people - without anyone bumping into anyone else .... How compassionate that Victor gave Kyle time to grieve his mother - before ripping him away from his father. However, Jack's had interim physical custody for quite some time now. Hard to believe any Judge will see awarding Victor guardianship being in Kyle's best interests. His (or her) Honour might ask; How many times has Mr Newman visited Kyle whilst in Jack's care? Jack's attorney might ask Mr Newman how many of his children have sued him (so that he'd relinquish control of their lives). Plus - Kyle's at an age where his opinion (of whom he'd like to live with) would be given consideration .... Yeah Phyllis - ADAM'S 'crazy' - too bad the footage of her taking scissors to Sharon's lingerie - dressed in a housekeeper's uniform - wasn't spliced into the movie .... Have a good weekend!!
