Open jewelry box in front of her, Vikki's about to take off her wedding ring - when the universe interferes again. Oh wait - it's just Victor - with some freshly cut sunflowers. Seeing the jewelry box, Victor assumes Vikki's looking for her missing bracelet. She went to the park - even talked to a homeless woman - but still no luck - what if the police have it?
At CL's, Ricky introduces himself to Phyllis. As he's in journalism, he'd like to give her his resume. Suggesting Ricky find her a 'good story' instead, Phyllis then heads to the patio (where she sees Avery gazing into Nick's eyes).
Getting a visit from Sam, Sharon worries about what testifying for her will cost Victor. With talk of an appeal (if she's convicted), Sam won't quit 'fighting' until Sharon's a free woman.
At the club's bar, Heather SHOLD be celebrating - but getting her job back just isn't enough. She concludes that Adam must be celebrating (her misery) - while Heather's 'drowning' (her sorrows).
Look who's come for dinner! As Nina and Paul go to fetch drinks, an uncomfortable Ronan joins Chance in the living room (already regretting coming).
Turning on the charm, Adam knows that Heather deserves a lot better than what he gave her. Maybe we should do something about that, he orders another drink.
Back on the patio, Phyllis has fled - as Avery awkwardly apologizes. No problem - everyone needs a hug once in a while, Nick smiles. When Ricky joins them, a stressed Avery needs to kick this trial into high gear! If he finds anything that'll buy time - or sway the jury, Ricky's to call - no matter how late. As Ricky leaps into action, Nick can see Avery hates to lose. Correct - and those who bet against her live to regret it!
Meanwhile, a furious Phyllis is at RS - batting a framed photo of Nick and Summer off her desk.
At the mausoleum, chit chat about Delia leads Nina to mention Ronan's transplant. Awkward. But she's thrilled to hear the 'brothers' both love pot roast. Ronan is saved from Nina's 'get to know you' questions when Phyllis calls - to talk. An apologetic Ronan (who's 'on his way') leaves Nina disappointed - and Chance skeptical (that it's work related).
Inviting Vikki to walk Keeley with him, Sam gets a call from back home. His replacement is in need to a replacement (as he must tend to his sick father). Though Vikki encourages Sam to go home and take care of business, he refuses (to walk out on Sharon).
On the patio, Victor, Nick and Avery discuss Victor testifying. When Avery can't guarantee that Victor won't face charges (for helping Skye fake her death), Nick worries about the effect it'll have on NE's stock. Consequences be damned, Victor's determined to set things right.
No - it's no problem that Ronan and Phyllis are alone at RS - in fact it's 'preferable' to him. No longer wanting to 'talk' Phyllis shows Ronan what she does want - with her lips. He seems to want it just as much.
Visiting Sharon, Vikki explains to Sharon that Sam needs to go home - but is in love with her (which seems to surprise Sharon). He's upended his life for you - it's gone beyond 'friendship', Vikki's sure.
At the mausoleum, Nina chides herself for pushing Ronan away (with her questions). The call he got was pre-arranged. And when Paul goes to the kitchen to check on dinner, Nina questions Chance about Heather (which sends him to give Paul a hand) - leaving Nina alone to sigh.
Asking a drunken Heather for her keys, Adam then suggests she go sleep it off - in his room. If she calls a cab, she might be recognized (which wouldn't be good for her public persona). In agreement, Heather must first stagger off to the ladies room (giving Adam a chance to make a call - how soon can you get to the club?)
Still on the patio, Victor and Nick discuss Nikki. No - she doesn't know much of what's going on. Victor wants to protect her from the stress - and give her time to recover.
Things are getting hot n heavy at RS. Dress off, Phyllis is in her leopard bra. You're a cop. Yes - and Phyllis is his 'person of interest'. Despite this being 'very wrong', Phyllis soon assumes her usual position - atop the nearest desk.
Feeling guilty, Sharon has summoned Sam - to insists he return to San Pueblo. Your friends and neighbours count on you too. Sam won't hear of it - he's where he wants to be. Finally agreeing, Sam will be back as soon as he can. We haven't spent a day apart since I fell asleep in your barn - Sharon will miss him - but is tougher than she looks. The next time Sam leaves, he vows Sharon's coming with him.
Parting ways, Victor and Avery are off to see Sharon - while Nick has work to do at RS.
Buttoning his pants, Ronan invites Phyllis for coffee. Now uncomfortable, Phyllis has real work to do; deadlines. Respecting that he's cop - and that this was 'wildly inappropriate', Phyllis (who got carried away) will stay within the boundaries. Finding Ronan's shoes, Phyllis leaves to check some proofs (while Ronan jots down an email carelessly left open on her computer. 'Tipster' saw Vikki at the park - she was asking a homeless woman about a lost bracelet)
Adam and Heather kiss their way up the club's hallway - to his suite. Ricky follows - camera in hand (but hesitates as he watches them through the door Adam thoughtfully left open)
Back at the mausoleum, Nina, Paul and Chance discuss Heather. She wanted to get back together, Chance confides - but he's committed to his work. In time, Heather will realize it's for the best.
No sooner has Adam closed the front door, when Heather sobers up somewhat. I can't do this. Ever the gentleman, Adam understands - rest up (he'll get water). You're so nice, Heather slurs before passing out atop his bed. That's me - Mr Nice Guy, Adam mutters with regret.
Visiting Sharon, Victor promises a better outcome with this trial (which he insists on testifying in). Though Avery supports Victor testifying, Sharon's adamantly opposed (to getting Victor in trouble). I don't want you to testify!
As surprised to find Phyllis at RS (as she is to see him), Nick has work to do too. He's just been 'strategizing'. Oh - that's what you call it? Phyllis snarls. She's been strategizing too (then runs out).
Now in his office, Ronan's told that the email is untraceable (sent through an anonymous tracer). The peon Detective balks at dredging the lake and doing inventory over the weekend (as he'll miss Halloween parties). Put a lab coat on - dress up as a lab tech, an unsympathetic Ronan is determined to find a bracelet.
Agreeing to take care of Keeley - and keep Sam's room for him, Vikki (one of the strongest women he's ever known) sends Sam off to catch his flight home. Playing with Keeley, Vikki's then mighty relieved to find her missing bracelet under the couch.
Sharon continues her tirade - ordering Avery to cross Victor OFF the witness list! (as there's no guarantee HE won't go to prison, she won't let Victor make that sacrifice). Guard! Sharon bangs on the door and huffs out.
As Heather's passed out on top of Adam's bed, Ricky's in the dining room - flipping through 8X10's of her kissing Adam. Coming through the revolving door, Avery snaps at Adam (who says that things just might go her way). No thanks to YOU! Avery clip cops off.
Next: In her Mom's lap, Delia chirps at Kevin - are you my Daddy now? ... There's a Halloween party goin' on at Jimmy's. This was Billy's thing, Vikki tells the Baldwin's (I think) - but it's my thing now .... Impressed, Phyllis flips through Ricky's 8X10's, When you said you had something, you had something GOOD.
My Thoughts: Where's Kay, Ester, Murphy and Jill - while Nina's hosting a dinner party? And did Paul really need 'a hand'? I doubt it. What kind of photo developer did Ricky take his film to be developed? He had the enlarged photos in his hand before Ronan and Phyllis wrapped up her 'work' .... Atta-boy Keeley kinda looks like a girl to me (not that I'm the dog whisperer or any kind of canine expert) .... If the bracelet's gold, the homeless woman might have sold it, Victor opines. Of course it's gold - Vikki's filthy rich - what's she gonna wear? Those cheap rubber 'silly band' bracelets? ... How fortuitous that Victor passed by a field of sunflowers on his way to Vikki's. I assume they're wild - not stolen from someone's property. Cool how he cut them the same length - and so straight. Victor must carry sharp pruning sheers and green taffeta in his trunk (for just such occasions) .... Funny line of the day goes to Victor: I always feel sorry when I see homeless people. Really? When and where does Victor see homeless people? Are any of them former NE employees (laid off when he had to pay his greedy kids 1.5 billion)? .... It's nice that the prison's inmates can receive any number of visitors - at any time .... Nice that Sam won't quit 'fighting for' Sharon - but doesn't he really mean he won't quit 'visiting' Sharon? And since he rented the room above the garage, why is he walking into his landlord's house? Has he paid Vikki to 'hold' his room? Nice that Vikki finally went to visit Sharon (not that she owes her a visit - since Sharon did her best to tempt Brad away from her - even as he was about to make Vikki his wife) .... Oh Phyllis - really? Having sex with Ronan - at Nick's business - on his desk no less? In plain sight of the elevator? It's too bad Nick didn't arrive just a few minutes earlier. That said, I do love her new haircut (and where can I get one of those miraculous leopard print push up bras?)... Nice that Adam's concerned about Heather's public image - but isn't bellying up at the bar - and staggering up to the town pariah's suite enough to raise eyebrows? And why would she rather use a public toilet (over the one in Adam's suite) ... Adam mounting that chair like it's a horse was rather impressive (given how tight his jeans are) .... 'You're kidding' Sam says (to his friend who's father's just suffered had a brain anyreusm). Yeah - that'd be a real knee slapper Sam.
