The least Adam can do is give Heather the heads up; photos of them kissing will likely be brought up. When!? Where?! Here - today. Needless to say, Heather's not happy - Adam's ruining her career - to help Sharon.
Ricky desperately tries (and fails) to squash the photos he now regrets taking. Too late - Avery's going to use Heather's 'serious breech of ethics' - to get Sharon a mistrial. Please - there must be some other way to win this. No, Avery's doing what's best for her client (and marches out of the club).
Hearing of the probable mistrial, Victor thinks it great news. Sharon can't share Avery's plan - but if 'this' does happen, it's due to an interesting source. Victor hopes that today everything changes - for the better.
In Ronan's office, Phyllis is anxious - and hopeful that the memory card works (and that it's the evidence Adam got rid of). Alas, the monitor is blank. But wait! OMG - it's her voice! an excited Phyllis leans in.
At CL's, Kevin joins Chloe as she's planning their wedding (which he's surprised to hear is scheduled for Christmas).
Vikki gets a visit from Nick - who's had a rough morning with Dad and Faith. He can tell she's having after effects from last night's party. You have NO idea, Vikki groans.
Cane visits Billy's seedy apartment (as summoned). Confiding that he snuck in to see Delia dressed as Santa, Billy DOES indeed need an elf; one that can help him clear his name.
As Adam stands texting in the doorway, Ricky, then Noah file into the courtroom. Joining Avery, Sharon's told that things look very promising. She then exchanges a few words with Noah - then a look with Adam (who correctly assures Victor that Sharon won't be 'bothered' by his being there). And as Paul joins Ricky, Heather tries (and fails) to do damage control with Avery (who wastes no time wanting to bring something to the Judge's attention - before the jury's brought in).
Back at CL's, Chloe zips through the first 20 pages on her ipad. Their wedding will be nothing like his weird ashram one (or hers with Billy). It'll be 'us' - but Kevin has to wonder what the rush is.
Relieved to hear she didn't make a fool of herself at the party, Vikki tells Nick about Santa's visit. Assuming it was a hallucination, she hasn't been that drunk since Jamaica - with Billy, Vikki's determined to be OK with this divorce - no wallowing.
Knowing about Cane's involvement with the police (over the Collin sting), Billy hopes to leverage his 'connections'. He was railroaded in Asia - drugs - a girl. Billy can't show his face until he clears his name. His Dad-in-law knows - and needs to be cut off at the knees. When Cane wants to hear it from the beginning, Billy claims he wouldn't/couldn't have done what he's being accused of - there must be a way to prove it.
Heather objecting, she and Avery are called to the bench - and as Avery's about to unleash the photos, Ronan and Phyllis burst in - with evidence that proves Sharon's innocence.
Chloe shares her desire to be a real family - have an 'off the charts' Christmas. Why the rush? Kevin repeats. Because Chloe ruined it last time - and because she loves Kevin; her best friend (who saved Delia). With a kiss, Kevin wants to be married just as much.
Hearing Billy out, Cane feels for him - but he's asking a helluva lot from someone he can't stand. True - but if Cane doesn't do it for Billy - do it for Delia, Jill (anyone who thinks he walked out on them). Will you help me?
Saying she's trying to put Billy behind her, Vikki changes the subject. Nick's going to court 'later' (then relays his 'blunt' conversation with Sharon; whom he'll never look at her the same way). Then there's Dad (who's all over him to stand up for Sharon - not understanding how NICK feels). Seeing her Mom is hard for Faith - it's killing Nick. If Avery doesn't have a trick up her sleeve, Sharon could be going away for a long time.
Paul, Victor and Noah chat in the hallway - why is Ricky talking to Adam? Nearby, Adam shares his surprise that Ricky passed the photos on to Avery. Get away from me, Ricky hisses. Hey - you stabbed your sister in the back - but it was in the name of justice. Paul approaches - what's going on here? Ask your son, Adam saunters off.
In the courtroom, Heather is eager to hear what Ronan has to say (and a distraction from the photos Avery's about to produce). And after Phyllis introduces herself to the Judge, all share a bit about the memory card (which contains audio of Skye's last words). Phyllis has identified both voices (but a lab analysis is underway). Play it, the Judge orders. All then listen to the dramatic incident (I won't let you die .... hang on, Sharon can be heard panting).
Back in the hallway, Ricky denies that Adam's badgering him (and doesn't need Paul's advice on staying away from him). HE'S not the one who needs taking care of. What's going on? Paul persists. I need some air, Ricky escapes his father's scrunity.
Noah's impatient - what's going on in there? And his Dad should have been here by now. Victor agrees. Soon after, leaving Vikki's, Nick gets a call from Noah. What!? I'll be right there ~click~
Ronan promising the lab results shortly, the Judge will take this to his chambers (where Heather can contact DA Walsh). The Judge then asks what Avery wanted to bring to his attention. This new evidence supercedes that, Avery leaves the photos on her table as she too heads to the Judge's chambers. Sharon's left to cry happy tears - she never thought this moment would come (or that Phyllis would have anything to do with it).
An overly animated Kevin and Chloe spend time with Delia. We have some amazing news to tell you .....
An emotional Sharon continues to gush - this nightmare might be over! Carefully placing her jacket over the photos, Phyllis explains how she spotted the memory card on Ronan's desk. She knew Sharon wasn't guilty - but did it for the kids. Thank you - so much. You're welcome - you owe me. Yes - I owe you big, Sharon sniffles. Avery didn't save you - I did, Phyllis concludes (as she packs up).
Joining Victor and Noah in the hallway, Nick turns to fire questions when Phyllis emerges. You're about to find out, she says (when the balif leans out to announce that court's back in session). I have things to do, Phyllis exits (watched closely by Adam).
OK - Cane will help Billy (but if Lily gets suspicious, he's telling her the truth). First, Billy needs Cane to find this girl (who's name he jots down). Cane will see what he can do. This means a lot, Billy's grateful (then is left to flash back to last night; kissing a drunken Vikki - seeing the signed divorce papers).
Delia's ecstatic to hear about the Christmas wedding. Yay!!!! Santa visited her on Halloween! Getting a warm welcome, Vikki's told about Santa making his rounds last night. Bizarre - Vikki was kissed by Santa. Kevin jumps in - you don't really think that, right? He also saw Santa at the hospital - he's jolly - very old. Musta been a dream. Vikki doesn't seem convinced, but goes along with it.
The final conversation between the deceased and the defendant now confirmed, Heather officially drops the charges against Sharon. However, there's still the 5 years for escaping (which Avery easily has reduced to time served). Ms Newman is free to go. Sharon hugs Avery - then Victor - Noah. Adam stands and slips out (as Paul consoles Heather). Meanwhile, Avery introduces herself to (and thanks) Ronan. Congratulating Avery, Ricky's relieved she didn't have to use the photos (which she's then alarmed to realize are missing!).
At RS, an evil looking Phyllis taps some keys. Done - and upload. The website now features a photo of Heather and Adam kissing. The text reads; Twists in Sharon Newman trial. Adam Newman suppresses evidence, seduces ADA; A tale of sick love gone wrong.
Next: Right now you wanna devote all your time to your kids - but how long before you abandon them again. Never!!! Sharon shouts back .... Victor gives Adam an order - Stay away from her - you got that!? ... Give me one good reason why I shouldn't kick your ass.
My Thoughts: For over a decade, I've set aside 2 hours of my day to provide daily spoilers - time I donate gladly. Today, I ask for 5 minutes of yours. Usually, you'll find what I hope is humorous (if not a tad sarcastic) commentary in this spot - but today I am sharing a personal (and tragic) aspect of my life. A year ago September, my stepson (previously a happy and healthy 18 year old) was diagnosed with a rare cancer; Fibrolamellar HC. Already a 'stage 4' (as with most patients diagnosed), the prognosis is poor - the cancer uncurable and (after the initial surgery to remove half of his tumourous liver) inoperable. With 7 tumours now metastaticizing in his body, my stepson is taking chemotherapy that (at the very best) may, for an all too brief period of time, slow the cancer's growth. As FHC is a 'young adult cancer' - and rare (diagnosed only 200 time a year), there is relatively little information, support, treatment options or research (compared with the more publicized cancers). Yet, those who ARE battling and/or researching this rare disease, do so with unmatched ferocity and dedication. They fight in memory of loved ones lost - or, those like us, still battling and anxiously awaiting news of a clinical trial - and to provide a better prognosis and treatment options for future patients.
Cancer is for 'other people', we thought - older people - people who make unhealthy choices. Sadly, we've learned that is not always the case (and, in fact, never the case with Fibrolamellar). And so, dear Readership, I ask that you visit fibrofoundation.org. Of course donations are appreciated - but there are many other ways YOU can help. Take a moment to read about a brave young man (sadly no longer with us) and the dedicated family who continue the battle in Tucker's name. If your attention span is low, or you're not able to donate, please, at the very least, check out the 'ways to help' section of the site. I myself, will continue to brainstorm ways to help this cause (financially and by creating awareness). To start with, this month, all revenue from ads and subscriptions (after operating costs) will be donated to fibrofoundation.org (who's site is linked by the numerous ads scattered throughout the site).
Thank you for your time,
Toni
