After Vikki's kicks the boys butt's at a board game, Reed's sent upstairs for his coat - he's off to spend some time with Delia. Getting a call from Jack, Billy wants to meet him - to get details on the offer to come back to Jabot.
At the club, Emily's talk of her brother finally convinces Paul that she's not Patty. Call my Chicago office, she invites - or she'll even do a DNA sample. With Patty still wearing Emily's face, Paul needs to be sure. Emily admits it's unsettling (being back in GC) - but the visit is overdue.
Is it coincidence that Ashley's brother's ex fiance is Tucker's therapist? No - Tucker sought her out. Whatever happened to no more secrets? For Ashley it IS an 'issue'.
At CL's, Nick does indeed believe Adam set Victor up. Adam suspects Nick feels guilty - eating turkey with Sharon while his father was hauled off to jail. Nick's delighted to assume that Sharon having a life (far away from him), must be killing Adam.
Arriving at the station, Walsh (whom I erroneously identified as a detective yesterday) - is shown what Ronan's 'got' (Nikki was in GC - and had means and motive). You think she did it? Only one way to find out. OK then - Walsh will expedite Nikki's arrest warrant.
Still clutching the bottle, mascara running down her face, an emotional (and drunk) Nikki confesses to killing Diane. Don't ever say that again! Victor orders. Nikki prattles on - about Diane making the photos of them making love look sordid and dirty - then the lawsuit. She was so damn upset when she left rehab. It was just one night, Victor stands firm - You did NOT kill Diane Jenkins - you got it!?
Vikki and Billy discuss the pros and cons of him going back to Jabot (since buying RS back isn't an option). Reed back and ready to go, Billy helps 'Bunky's' into his winter woollies.
Back on the patio, Ashley doesn't want Tucker to quit therapy - just Emily (because of Jack). No, it's not fair that Dr Peterson stays in exile because of Patty's actions - but Ashley doesn't approve of Emily coming to GC (Jack can't see her - it can't happen). Ashley really feels that Tucker needs to find a new therapist.
Paul and Emily are now seated at the club - talking about Patty. Paul has no idea where his sister is. It breaks his heart that she's alone and ill. Dr Peterson empathizes with Patty - but how does 'Emily' feel? Paul wonders. Emily struggles with it every day - though it does get easier with time.
ARE Sam and Sharon involved again? Adam wonders. Nick believes they're just friends - but there's no way Sharon's gonna forgive Adam. She's over you. Adam knows how forgiving Sharon is - when's she coming back? No time soon - but to YOU; never! Nick marches out.
Waving the bottle around, Nikki talks of her escape from rehab - she couldn't face anyone - so started drinking. She suddenly recalls seeing Victor in the park - and is it possible she saw Vikki? So angry with Diane, Nikki assumes she confronted her. Stop drinking! Victor presses for more answers. Nikki doesn't know (what she said to Diane) - she blacked out. Then how the hell does Nikki know she killed Diane? Because she woke up - in bloody clothes and with a bloody rock next to her. That's how, Nikki gulps vodka and sobs apologies.
When Billy drops by, Jack informs that Ashley's on her way over - she'll be equally thrilled that he's changed his mind. Billy's not sure it's a 'good fit' (though he now realizes the importance of family - wants to do right by Delia - and does need a job). Bottom line; It's time Billy knows it's time he got his act together.
At Vikki's, Nick gripes about Adam (thinking about Sharon). Why would Dad rehire him anyway? Vikki has NO idea - and she's done with NE. Nick, on the other hand ... Me? Nick has the magazine. But - saying 'no' to Billy was 'reflex'. Nick's not sure RS is the best place for him anymore.
Walsh delivers the warrant - Ronan's to 'go get Nikki Newman'. Alert your unit, Ronan barks to a nearby cop, as he grabs his coat and exits.
At CL's, Adam just so happens to be beside two cops when their walkie talkies blurt out: all available units report to the Newman ranch. Let's go - Adam's left looking very interested.
Taking the bottle away from Nikki, Victor wraps his arms around her. Exactly HOW did she try to 'cover it up'. She bought new clothes - let the cops accuse her family. I'm a horrible person. Disagreeing, Victor will make it 'go away'. Slurring about confessing, Nikki passes out in Victor's arms - as he promises to make everything alright.
Feeling more frustrating (than fulfilled) at RS, Nick blames Phyllis (whom he fired due to 'personal complications'). Vikki doesn't mean to push Nick - but will anyway - Billy sure would love RS back.
Meanwhile, Jack suggests the creative and charming Billy do marketing for Jabot. Is Billy saying yes? When Ashley arrives, Jack says Billy IS about to say 'yes'. Avoiding the question, Billy hurries out - I'll get back to you. Noting that Ashley looks frazzled, Jack's sent up to get his work 'stuff'.
Tucker's surprised to find Dr Peterson at the GCAC. It's not HER fault that Ashley found out - though it IS a complication; she's upset. Emily understands - she's a reminder of a highly traumatic period in Jack's life. Unable to ignore his wife's feelings, Tucker's decided to cease therapy with Emily. She understands him putting family first - take care.
Ronan arrives at the stables with some uniforms - tell the team to stand by for transport. Pretending to be drunk (and claiming he doesn't know where Nikki s), Victor confesses to killing Diane. Yeah - he injected the bitch - then bashed her in the head - to make her suffer. Yeah, it's a fact. Ask him - my boy. Adam appears in the doorway. Tell him you were there the night I killed Diane - tell him, Victor slurs.
Nick can't sell RS - not until he figures out what he'll do next. Vikki's in the same boat. The answer? Go into business together - create something fun and innovative - as equal partners. Billy returns to say he's been offered a position at Jabot - which he isn't sure he wants.
Jack and Ashley are stoked over the Thanksgiving sales figures (thanks to Ashley's new line). It'll be a profitable Christmas. Jack proposes a challenge - time to go after BofN. Ashley rejects the idea - lets' focus on what we've got. Jack persists - everything's going so well - let's run with it. Yes, he IS happy - can't remember when he felt this positive about the future.
Is it true? Did Adam witness his father murder Diane? Tell him boy, Victor urges. Yeah - Adam saw the whole thing. He killed her - just like he's been telling them all along. And when Victor gloats that the stupid, arrogant SOB didn't catch him, Ronan orders Victor cuffed - you're under arrest for the murder of Diane Jenkins.
It's Emily, a startled Jack's assured - when he opens his front door. How do I know it's you? She can prove it if he gives her a moment.
As Victor's lead in, Mike bursts into the station - what the hell is going on!? I'm having my picture taken, Victor slurs as he's lead off. Scolded by Mike, Ronan stuns him by announcing that his client confessed to murdering Diane.
Still at the stable, Adam wastes no time alerting Sharon (who denies Victor killed Diane). I've gotta go ~click~ Victor - OMG, a gasping Sharon puts on her 'I'm worried' face.
Billy respects Nick's decision not to sell RS. Both he and Vikki are ecstatic when Nick impulsively changes his mind. The magazine no longer excites him - he'd like to work with his sister.
No one else would know about their Christmas in August - a convinced Jack wasn't sure he'd ever hear from Emily again. She thought about calling - many times - and still thinks of Jack (who still thinks of her too). As he reaches out to tenderly caresses Emily's face, Patty watches from outside.
At the club with Tucker, Ashley's changed her mind - he should continue to work with Emily if he wants to. But wait - Tucker's already ended things with Dr Peterson. She's in town, he confides - but likely won't stick around. Tucker then gets an alert on his phone - Victor confessed to Diane's murder. When Ashley immediately calls BS, an unimpressed Tucker questions why she'd defend Victor (AFTER he confesses ) - but had doubts about HIS involvement.
And while Sharon's booking the first flight back to GC, Walsh is praising Ronan on a job well done. But after the DA leaves, both Paul and Ronan are suspicious; Victor's confession came too easy.
In the outer station, Mike tries to reason with an unresponsive Victor - who flashes back to getting a call from the front gate. Told the cops have a warrant for her arrest, he covers Nikki with a blanket and some hay. Realtime, Mike's even more stunned - when Victor, with a slight lift of his eyebrow, lets him know that the drunk act is just that - an act.
Still in the stable, Adam reads breaking news on his phone; drunk and disorderly Victor Newman seen dragged into police station. After he strolls out, a groggy Nikki awakens - Victor? Where are you? Ow, she grabs her aching head.
Next: A dubious Sharon visits Victor in jail - look me in the eye and say you killed Diane. I am guilty, he replies ... I don't believe you, Nikki later tells Victor (as Mike watches on) - and I don't think Mike believes you .. Hiding outside Jack's, Patty doesn't look to happy to see him kissing Genevieve.
My Thoughts: If Paul's that 'heartbroken' (about his sister being out there, alone and 'so ill') why isn't he doing more than 'put out feelers'? He's a PI for cryin' out loud. But what makes him think Patty's still alone? She couldn't have hooked up with someone in the last 12 months? .... What have I done now? Adam innocently wonders when Nick tells him to shut up. Never mind what he's done now - isn't kidnapping his baby for 6 months enough for Nick to carry a grudge? .... Huh? Nick's 'always wanted to work with his sister'? They DID work together - for years - at NE - and it didn't go all that well. There as a lot of sibling rivalry - and disrespect on both sides ... Since Vikki hardly spends any time with Reed, why wouldn't they have Delia over to THEIR place? Do the Abbott's know there's a former crackhead staying at the mausoleum? ... If he's stopping by Jack's for 'more specifics' (on the job at Jabot), why wouldn't salary be discussed? Though - I guess it doesn't really matter when you're wife is worth in excess of 500 million ... Patty wouldn't know who drove Jamie to the police station? Or about Christmas in August? Puhlease - we're talking about a woman who managed to escape from a facility for the criminally insane (and who managed to pose as a psychiatrist for months - and more recently a housekeeper - to plant drugs she manages to swipe from a hospital's medical supply - which you'd assume would be heavily monitored). Gathering random tidbits of useless information would be a piece of cake for someone of Patty's caliber ... What did Patty do with the cat? Has Kyle even noticed it's missing? If she takes it back to Genevieve's, won't she wonder how it made it's way back there? .... NIKKI was so 'damn mad' - so 'damn upset' when Diane published those photos? I she forgetting that when she and Victor 'made love' - he was MARRIED to Diane? Perhaps SHE was damn mad/damn upset too .... Yesterday, Victor told Nikki that she was exhausted - tired - today he says she just needs some rest. Um - Nikki needs more than a nap - she's totally inebriated ... If she was THAT drunk when escaping rehab, how did Nikki manage the 2 hour drive to GC? Perhaps the cops should comb the highway - perhaps there's dead bodies piled up in the ditches. And did she walk into a clothing store covered in blood? ... Jack wants to 'build on Billy's strengths'? What's that? Gambling, drinking a womanizing? He's to work in PR/marketing? Wait a minute - isn't that department more than covered- by Genevieve and Jill? Will a third desk be added to that already crowded office? ... Stay tuned tomorrow - my list of angels will be published. I'm truly touched and thankful to everyone who took the time to learn about Fibrolamellar - and to those who generously donated. Every bit helps - progress HAS been made. Just a few weeks ago, a clinical trial (the FIRST specifically devoted to this rare cancer) and a worldwide registry was announced online!! Thanks for your support.
